The integro-differential equation of small transverse vibrations of a rectilinear elastic pipeline filled with a transported fluid is obtained. The pipeline vibrations are described in the linear setting in the beam approximation. The mutual dynamic influence of motions of the pipeline and the filling fluid is taken into account. A complete trigonometric series method is presented for solving problems with various boundary and initial conditions for the pipeline deflection.  相似文献

The exact solution of the problem of coupled seismic vibrations of an underground pipeline and an infinite elasticmediumis given. A method dramatically simplifying the solution of the exterior problem for themedium is proposed on the basis of the established theorem on the separation of the boundary conditions for the wave potentials on the surface of the cylinder. Problems of acoustic wave propagation in a plane wave guide whose walls are assumed to be undeformed with the exception of a section of finite length whose bending is described by the thin plate theory equations in the framework of the Kirchhoff-Love hypotheses are considered. The sound-proofing characteristics of the wave guide described and the stability of the forced oscillations of the system considered are investigated. Formulations of the problem of active vibroacoustic protection and the problem for the peristaltic pump are given. This work investigates the linear stability of an antiplane shear motion which involves a steadily propagating normal planar phase boundary in an arbitrary element of a family of non-elliptic generalized neo-Hookean materials. It is shown that such a process is linearly unstable with respect to a large class of disturbances if and only if the kinetic response function—a constitutively supplied entity which relates the normal velocity of a phase boundary to the driving traction which acts on it—is locally decreasing as a function of the appropriate argument. This result holds whether or not inertial effects are taken into consideration, demonstrating that the linear stability of the relevant process depends entirely upon the transformation kinetics intrinsic to the kinetic response function. The morphological evolution of the interface is then, in an inertia-free setting, tracked for a short time subsequent to the perturbation. It is found that, when the kinetic response function is non-monotonic, the phase boundary can evolve so as to qualitatively resemble the plate-like structures which are found in displacive solid-solid phase transformations.  相似文献

A thin, elastic circular arch, clamped at its ends and constrained in a rigid cavity, is subjected to a uniformly distributed parallel loading. Stability of equilibrium in the large “snap-through” is investigated both analytically and experimentally and good agreement is found to exist between the two modes of investigation. It is concluded that the set of simplifying assumptions introduced in the analysis is justified. Simple analytical results obtained in the paper allow the design of underground shelters under this type of loading.  相似文献

An elastic cytoskeletal tensegrity structure composed by six inextensible elastic struts and 24 elastic cables is considered. The model is studied, adopting delay convention for stability. Critical conditions for simple and compound instabilities are defined. Post-critical behavior is also described. Equilibrium states with buckling of the struts are also considered. It is revealed that critical Euler buckling load of the struts is a necessary but not a sufficient condition for the existence of bifurcated equilibrium states, caused by buckling of the struts.  相似文献
