A complete discrimination system for the fourth order polynomial is given. As an application, we have reduced a (1+1)-dimensional dispersive long wave equation with general coefficients to an elementary integral form and obtained its all possible exact travelling wave solutions including rational function type solutions, solitary wave solutions, triangle function type periodic solutions and Jacobian elliptic functions double periodic solutions. This method can be also applied to many other similar problems.  相似文献

In this paper, we make use of a new generalized ansatz in the homogeneous balance method, the well-known Riccati equation and the symbolic computation to study a generalized Hirota--Satsuma coupled KdV system and a coupled MKdV equation, respectively. As a result, numerous explicit exact solutions, comprising new solitary wave solutions, periodic wave solutions and the combined formal solitary wave solutions and periodic wave solutions, are obtained.  相似文献

Using the extended homogeneous balance method,the (1 1)-dimensional dispersive long-wave equations have been solved.Starting from the homogeneous balance method,we have obtained a nonlinear transformation for simplifying a dispersive long-wave equation into a linear partial differential equation.Usually,we can obtain only a type of soliton-like solution.In this paper,we have further found some new multi-soliton solutions and exact travelling solutions of the dispersive long-wave equations from the linear partial equation.  相似文献

In this paper, we make use of the auxiliary equation and the expanded mapping methods to find the new exact periodic solutions for (2+1)-dimensional dispersive long wave equations in mathematical physics, which are expressed by Jacobi elliptic functions, and obtain some new solitary wave solutions (m → 1). With the aid of Mathematica, we obtain several types of explicit and exact travelling wave solutions to a system of variant Boussinesq equations by using an improved sine-cosine method and the Wu elimination method. These solutions contain Wang's results and other types of solitary wave solutions and new solutions. The method can also be applied to solve more systems of nonlinear partial differential equations, such as the coupled KdV equations.  相似文献

The surface water waves in a water tunnel can be described by systems of the form [Bona and Chen, Physica D116, 191 (1998)] 1 $$ \label{BWE} \left\{ \begin{array}{l} v_t+u_x+(uv)_x+au_{xxx}-bv_{xxt}=0, \\ u_t+v_x+uu_x+cv_{xxx}-du_{xxt}=0, \end{array} \right. $$ where a, b, c and d are real constants. In general, the exact travelling wave solutions will be helpful in the theoretical and numerical study of the nonlinear evolution systems. In this paper, we obtain exact travelling wave solutions of system (1) using the modified $\tanh$ $\coth$ function method with computerized symbolic computation.  相似文献

A direct algebraic method is introduced for constructing exact travelling wave solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations with complex phases. The scheme is implemented for obtaining multiple soliton solutions of the generalized Zakharov equations, and then new exact travelling wave solutions with complex phases are obtained. The Schamel–Korteweg–de Vries equation is investigated by the approach of dynamics.The existences of solitary wave including ω-shape solitary wave and periodic wave are proved via investigating the dynamical behaviors with phase space analyses.The sufficient conditions to guarantee the existences of the above solutions in different regions of the parametric space are given.All possible exact explicit parametric representations of the waves are also presented.Along with the details of the analyses,the analytical results are numerically simulated lastly.  相似文献
