The isomorphous single crystals of M(ethylenediamine)3(NO3)2, where M is Zn(II), Ni(II) and Co(II), exhibit macroscopic optical activity as predicted by their acentric space group. Axial circular dichroism measurements on these pure crystals show conclusively that spontaneous resolution has occurred. The axial circular dichroism and orthoaxial linear dichroism spectra of these pure crystals, and of Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Mn(II) and Ru(II) doped into the Zn(en)3(NO3)2 crystal have been measured at ambient and cryogenic temperatures in the range from 7 to 35 kK. The first NO3? transition at 32.5 kK is assigned as 1A ← 1A based on its linear polarization and sign of rotational strength. The d-d transitions are assigned in the context of D3 symmetry and reveal a small negative crystal field parameter k, consistent with theoretical prediction. A positive R for all d-d transitions is found to be associated with the Λ configuration for all of the complex ions, by correlation with the crystal and solution circular dichroism of Ru(en)32+.  相似文献

The geometry and the electronic structure of chiral lanthanide(III) complexes are traditionally probed by electronic methods, such as circularly polarised luminescence (CPL) and electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectroscopy. The vibrational phenomena are much weaker. In the present study, however, significant enhancements of vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) and Raman optical activity (ROA) spectral intensities were observed during the formation of a chiral bipyridine–EuIII complex. The ten‐fold enhancement of the vibrational absorption and VCD intensities was explained by a charge‐transfer process and the dominant effect of the nitrate ion on the spectra. A much larger enhancement of the ROA and Raman intensities and a hundred‐fold increase of the circular intensity difference (CID) ratio were explained by the resonance of the λ=532 nm laser light with the 7F05D0 transitions. This phenomenon is combined with a chirality transfer, and mixing of the Raman and luminescence effects involving low‐energy 7F states of europium. The results thus indicate that the vibrational optical activity (VOA) may be a very sensitive tool for chirality detection and probing of the electronic structure of EuIII and other coordination compounds.  相似文献

2-Hydroxybenzylidene-2-phenylquinoline-4-carbonylhydrazone (H2L) and five Ln(III) complexes, [Ln(H2L)(NO3)2]NO3 [Ln = La (1), Pr (2), Sm (3), Eu (4), and Tb (5)], have been synthesized and characterized by 1H NMR, elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, mass spectra, IR spectra, and UV spectra. The interaction of these complexes with calf thymus DNA was investigated by UV absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, circular dichroism spectroscopy and viscosity measurements. Results suggest that these complexes bind to DNA via groove binding.  相似文献

A novel ruthenium(II) polypyridyl complex [Ru(phen)2{ipbd)](ClO4)2 (ipbd = 3-(1H-Imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthrolin-2-yl)-1-benzodioxane, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline} has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, ES-MS and 1H-NMR spectra. The interaction of the complex with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) was investigated by absorption titration, fluorescence spectra, thermal denaturation, viscosity measurements, circular dichroism and photoinduced cleavage. The results suggest that the complex intercalates into the CT-DNA base pairs. Upon irradiation, this novel Ru(II) complex can cleave the plasmid pBR 322 DNA from the supercoiled form I to the open circular form II.  相似文献

This work expands on the recent separation of the enantiomers of the C2-symmetrical bis-substituted derivatives of 1,1′-diphosphaferrocene. The effective separation of mono-substituted 1,1′-diphosphaferrocenes by the proposed method is demonstrated. The absolute configuration of the three separated components was established using X-ray diffraction. Circular dichroism spectra were collected for all of the separated compounds. The spectrum of each compound shows a characteristic curve, and the curves for the enantiomers are symmetrical. We also show that the correct absolute configuration for similar species can be assigned on the basis of the obtained data. We propose an explanation for the abnormal 1H NMR spectra of phospholyl protons in some derivatives of 1,1′-diphosphaferrocene. A density functional theory (DFT) study of the conformation, as well as circular dichroism and NMR spectra of the chosen species, is also presented.  相似文献

以2- 苯胺基-4,6- 二叔丁基苯酚(H2L)和FeCl2·4H2O为原料制备了一对手性半醌Fe(III) 络合物Λ-mer-[Fe(LISQ)3]和Δ-mer-[Fe(LISQ)3] (LISQ: 2-苯亚胺基-4, 6-二叔丁基苯酚, mer: 经式构型), 通过单晶X射线衍射分析结合单晶压制片膜的固体圆二色(CD)光谱确定了该络合物的绝对构型, 在此基础上建立了此类半醌络合物[M(LISQ)3] (M=Cr, Fe, Co)的惟手性金属中心绝对构型与固体CD光谱之间的关联. 此外, 还对10份合成的[Fe(LISQ)3]的大宗产物粉末与单晶的固体CD谱进行了比对分析, 以及对1 份合成产物进行10 次重结晶的固体CD 光谱表征. 研究表明该化合物在结晶过程中发生了镜面对称性破缺(MSB), 对映体过量(ee) 值在15%-100%之间.  相似文献

The assignment of the absorption spectra of benz[b]anthracene (1) is reported by measuring the induced circular dichroism spectra of the -cyclodextrin complex with1. It is concluded from the signs of the induced circular dichroism bands that the first absorption band (20.4–30.9×103 cm–1) has the transition dipole moment perpendicular to the long axis and the second absorption band (30.9–37.2×102 cm–1) has the transition dipole moment parallel to the long axis of1. Our assignments are in complete agreement with earlier assignments. The induced circular dichroism spectra exhibit Cotton splittings at 19.1×103 and 42.8×103 cm–1. It can be concluded from Cotton splittings of the induced circular dichroism spectra that the association of two 1:1 inclusion complexes forms a ground-state dimer.  相似文献

Inclusion compounds of transition metal complexes of cycloocta-1,5-diene (cod) and norbornadiene (nbd) with cyclodextrins were prepared. Two-to-one (cyclodextrin:guest) inclusion compounds were obtained in high yields by the treatment of β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) with [(L)RhCl]2 (L = nbd or cod) and 1:1 inclusion compounds were obtained by the reaction of β-CD with (cod)PtX2 (X = Cl, Br, or I) in high yields, while γ-CD formed 1:1 inclusion compounds with (cod)PtX2 (X = Br or I). The formation of inclusion compounds is selective. α-CD did not form inclusion compounds with any transition-metal complexes with cycloocta-1,5-diene. Thermogravimetric measurements show that the complexes are stabilized by inclusion in cyclodextrin cavities. The inclusion compounds were characterized by 1 H-NMR, IR, UV, and circular dichroism spectra.  相似文献

Three forms of chiroptical spectroscopies, electronic circular dichroism (ECD), vibrational circular dichroism (VCD), and optical rotatory dispersion (ORD) have been employed to study the configuration and conformational properties of the three molecules: (S)-3-phenylcyclopentanone, (S)-3-phenylcyclohexanone, and (S)-3-phenylcycloheptanone (including (S)-3-phenylcyclopentanone-2,2,5,5-d4 and (S)-3-phenylcyclohexanone-2,2,6,6-d4). ECD and VCD spectra in the mid-IR for the three molecular systems are marginally dependent on fine conformational details, as interpreted in terms of standard DFT computational methods, with common spectroscopic features to the three systems clearly identified. Accounting for vibronic coupling mechanisms reproduces the structuring of ECD n→π band. The ORD curves are quite similar for the three types of molecules, but their interpretation highlights a crucial role played by conformations of the cycloalkanone ring in the case of (S)-3-phenylcycloheptanone. The same conclusions are reached by considering the VCD spectra in the CH-stretching region.  相似文献

A new inclusion complex of β-cyclodextrin with sodium maleonitriledithiolate (Na2mnt) was investigated by electronic spectra, induced circular dichroism (ICD), and quantum mechanics (QM) methods. The orientation of the guest anion inside the host cavity was studied by ICD spectra and analyzed by structural optimization using PM3 quantum chemical method. Finally, the inclusion constant was determined by both a linear and a non-linear fitting methods, which were based on the variation of ICD signals of the guest upon inclusion complexation with the host. The inclusion constant of Na2mnt/β-cyclodextrin was estimated to be (2.45 ± 0.15) × 103 or (3.10 ± 0.11) × 103 M?1 in solution by these two fitting methods.  相似文献

The assignment of the absorption spectra of 1,4-benzocyclooctenedione (1) is reported by measuring the circular dichroism spectra of the β-cyclodextrin complex with 1. It is concluded from the signs of the circular dichroism bands that the first (16.6 × 103−27.4 × 103 cm−1) absorption band is composed of two electronic transitions having perpendicular polarizations with respect to the long axis of 1, the second (27.4 × 103−35.8 × 103 cm−1) absorption band has the transition dipole moment parallel to the long axis of 1 and the third (35.8 × 103−44.3 × 103 cm−1) absorption band is composed of two electronic transitions having perpendicular and parallel polarizations with respect to the long axis of 1.  相似文献

制备了4-苯基-1-(吡啶-2-亚甲基)氨基脲(PPMSC)和4-苯基-1-(吡啶-2-亚甲基)氨基硫脲(PPMTC).用元素分析、MS、1HNMR、UV吸收光谱、X射线单晶衍射和固体CD光谱等对其进行了表征.晶体结构数据显示PPMSC属于Sohncke P212121空间群,单个分子之间通过氢键形成一个一维螺旋链状结构,沿a轴形成左手螺旋结构.固体CD光谱和重结晶实验证明,PPMSC手性晶体的形成是结晶诱导的绝对不对称合成.PPMTC的固体CD光谱和重结晶实验具有与PPMSC类似现象.  相似文献

The magnetic circular dichroism spectra of the halogen molecules I2, Br2 and Cl2 were investigated in solutions. The spectral region studied was 800-250 nm. The MCD spectra were interpreted successfully in terms of the transitions to the states 1u(3II) and 1II. The charge-transfer interaction of pyridinium salts with lysozyme and L-tryptophan has been investigated by visible absorption, circular dichroism and fluorescence spectroscopy. Four quaternized and substituted pyridinium salts were used as electron acceptors. L-tryptophan was used as a model compound of electron donor for the purpose of the comparison with lysozyme. The binding constants obtained from absorption and circular dichroism spectra were 2.0–13 M–1 and the sequence of the magnitude was found as EPCl(1-ethylpyridinium chloride) < MPCl(1-methylpyridinium chloride) < MNCl(1-methylnicotinamide chloride) < MNMCl(1-methyl-3-carbomethoxypyridinium chloride), which could be explained by the electron affinity of the pyridinium salt. The fluorescence spectra of lysozyme and L-tryptophan in the absence and presence of pyridinium salts were interpreted by Stern-Volmer plot. The static constants thus determined were in agreement with the binding constants obtained by other methods.  相似文献

TaO has been matrix-isolated in an argon matrix at 14 K and 24 K and studied spectroscopically in the visible region (300–850 nm). Both adsorption and magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) spectra have been recorded and analyzed. A determination of the total angular momentum quantum numbers (ω) for fourteen excited electronic states has been made. The g factors for the ground 2Δ32 and excited 2φ52 states have been determined from a moment analysis of the MCD and absorption spectra of the 450.3 nm band. The present study indicates the power of the combination of magnetic circular dichroism and matrix isolation for the assignment of excited electronic states of high temperature molecules.  相似文献

Synthesis of the combined ligand complex of copper(II) prolinate bis(1,5-pentamethylenetetrazole) [Cu(PMT)2](Pro)2 was carried out. The product is interesting as a biologically active compound. It is obtained by reaction of copper carbonate with proline followed by further reaction with corazole. The composition and structure of the complex were confirmed by elemental analysis and data of UV, IR, and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The complex was characterized in detail by the method of circular optical dichroism.  相似文献

Vibrational absorption and circular dichroism spectra of (−)-1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl methyl ether have been measured in CCl4 solution in the 2000–900 cm−1 region. These spectra are compared with the ab initio predictions of absorption and VCD spectra obtained with density functional theory using B3LYP/6-31G* and B3PW91/6-311G(2d) basis sets for different conformers of (R)-1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl methyl ether. The results suggest that the trans-conformer of 1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl methyl ether is predominant in the solution phase and that the (−)-enantiomer has the R-configuration.  相似文献
