A series of mesoporous UL-ZSM-5 materials (Si/Al = 50) with different micro- and mesoporosity as well as crystallinity was prepared following the procedure proposed in one of our recent studies (Trong-On, D.; Kaliaguine, S. Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2001, 40, 3248-3251. Trong-On, D.; Kaliaguine, S. U.S. Patent 6,669,924, B1, 2003). These materials have zeolitic structure in the form of nanoparticles intergrown in the walls of the amorphous wormhole-like aluminosilicate mesopores of Al-Meso-50, which was used as a precursor in the synthesis. The structure, crystallinity, and textural properties of the synthesized materials, as well as a reference ZSM-5 zeolite sample, were determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM)/scanning electron microscoy (SEM) analyses, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), 27Al magic angle spinning (MAS) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and nitrogen adsorption/desorption techniques. The acid properties were examined by FTIR of adsorbed pyridine. UL-ZSM-5 materials were shown to be highly hydrothermally stable. The diffusion of two C7 hydrocarbons, i.e., n-heptane and toluene, in four UL-ZSM-5 materials with different microporosities, related acidities, and crystallinities were investigated using the zero-length column (ZLC) method. Furthermore, the wormhole-like mesostructured aluminosilicate precursor (Al-Meso-50) and a reference MFI zeolite sample were also investigated using the same technique. A theoretical model considering a combination of mesopore diffusion (with surface slip in the main channels) with an activated, mainly surface diffusion mechanism in the intrawall biporous structure, was proposed and employed to interpret the experimental ZLC results. A classical Knudsen type of diffusion was replaced by an activated surface slip type of diffusion mechanism in the mesopores. The transport of n-heptane in UL-ZSM-5 materials was found to be mainly controlled by mesopore diffusion in the main-channel structure, while that of toluene was dominated by the intrawall diffusion process. Diffusion activation energies of n-heptane are about 2 times higher in comparison to toluene, which has a larger kinetic diameter. The main mesopore channel structure seems to appreciably contribute to the overall mass transport. Furthermore, the effect of hydrothermal treatment (20% steam at 800 degrees C for 24 h) on the diffusion of these two sorbates on UL-ZSM-5 materials was also evaluated.  相似文献

The dynamic adsorption/desorption behavior of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as toluene (C7H8) and benzene (C6H6) was evaluated for three kinds of mesoporous silicas of SBA-15, all having almost the same mesopore size of ca. 5.7 nm, and a MCM-41 silica with a smaller pore size of 2.1 nm using a continuous three-step test. The fiberlike SBA-15 silica exhibited exceptionally good breakthrough behavior, a higher VOC capacity, and easier desorption. The fiberlike silica was composed through the catenation of rodlike particles. The rodlike silicas, by comparison, were proven to be less useful in dynamic adsorption processes because of lower dynamic VOC capacities despite having comparative porous parameters with the fiberlike silica. The large dynamic VOC capacity of the fiberlike silica was attributed to the presence of a bimodal pore system consisting of longer, one-dimensional mesopore channels connected by complementary micropores.  相似文献

Siliceous SBA-15 mesoporous molecular sieves were functionalized with different amounts of 3-aminopropyl-trimethoxysilane. To obtain a more detailed insight into the material properties of the prepared samples, their textural parameters were combined with results of thermal analysis. Adsorption isotherms of carbon dioxide on parent and functionalized SBA-15 were measured in the temperature range from 273 to 333 K. From the temperature dependence of CO(2) isotherms the isosteric adsorption heats of CO(2) were determined and discussed. Information about the surface energetic heterogeneity caused by tethered 3-aminopropyl groups were obtained from CO(2) adsorption energy distributions calculated using the theoretical CO(2) adsorption isotherms derived from the non-local density functional theory. The values of isosteric heats and the energy distributions of CO(2) adsorption detect highly energetic sites and enabled quantification of their concentrations.  相似文献

在工业生产条件下对催化剂和催化作用的动态研究已经引起重视。吸附热能反映催化剂表面能量状况和吸附分子间的相互作用,是表征催化剂表面性质的重要参量。对于国产甲苯歧化催化剂DFC-1氢型丝光沸石(简称HMDFC-1)的吸附热和催化活性之间关系的报道还不多。在用吸附差热方法考察HMDFC-1的表面酸性时发现,在动态条件下HMDFC-1存在着对NH_3可逆和不可逆两种吸附,而对吡啶则只有不可逆吸附。本文利用脉冲色谱法分别测定了苯、甲苯、二甲苯在HMDFC-1上以及在被NH_3中毒的HM吸附热,和甲苯在被吡啶中毒的HMDFC-1上的吸附热,并以吸附热的差别区别了两类DFC-1上的酸中心,找出了催化活性随甲苯吸附热的变化曲线。  相似文献

Plugged hexagonal templated silica (PHTS) materials are synthesized using a high TEOS/EO(20)PO(70)EO(20) ratio in the SBA-15 synthesis. This generates internal microporous nanocapsules or plugs in part of the channels, which could be inferred from the two-step desorption branch. These materials exhibit a tunable amount of open and plugged pores and a very high micropore volume (up to 0.24 mL/g) and are more stable than the conventional micellar templated structures known so far. In this study the adsorption properties of PHTS are investigated and compared to those of its plug-free analogue SBA-15. For this purpose nitrogen, n-hexane, n-heptane, c-hexane, 3-methylpentane, 1-hexene, and water were adsorbed on SBA-15 and PHTSs with a different ratio of open and plugged mesopores. The adsorption of n-hexane, c-hexane, n-heptane, and 3-methylpentane on SBA-15 and PHTS-A demonstrated that the presence of the plugs had an effect on the uptake of adsorbate in the low relative pressure region, the position of the capillary condensation step, and the total adsorbed amount of adsorbate. The results showed that n-heptane and 3-methylpentane cannot access part of the micropore system of SBA-15 and PHTS-A. Adsorption of c-hexane and n-hexane on PHTS-A indicated that not only the kinetic diameter but also the shape of the molecule is an important factor for being able to be adsorbed into the micropores or past the plugs. Moreover, these two adsorbates were the most efficient in filling up the available pore volume. From the adsorption of n-hexane on PHTSs with a different ratio of open and plugged pores, it was concluded that the size of the plugs differed, which depends on the synthesis conditions. Water adsorption isotherms proved SBA-15 and PHTS-B to be more hydrophobic than PHTS-A. n-Hexane, 1-hexene, and toluene were adsorbed on SBA-15 and the PHTSs to investigate the influence of the polarity of the adsorbate. The isotherms showed higher uptakes for polar adsorbates on more hydrophobic materials and vice versa.  相似文献

Formation of titanium nitride nanoparticles within mesoporous silica SBA-15   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
We report the first synthesis of titanium nitride (TiN) nanoparticles inside the nanoscale channels of mesoporous silica SBA-15. The TiN precursor, Ti(NMe(2))(4) in toluene, was incorporated into the methyl group-modified channels of the SBA-15 powder. The functionalization of pore surfaces with methyl groups generates hydrophobic surfaces that facilitate impregnation with Ti(NMe(2))(4) and minimizes reactions between the TiN precursor and the hydroxyl groups on the surface of SBA-15. Formation of TiN nanoparticles inside the mesoporous channels of SBA-15 was carried out by subsequent ammonolysis at high temperatures (700-750 degrees C). The final products have been characterized by TEM and EELS images, powder XRD patterns, FTIR spectra, UV-vis absorption spectra, and nitrogen adsorption isotherm measurements to confirm the presence and distribution of TiN nanoparticles in the SBA-15 samples.  相似文献

以pluronic(P123)为模板剂,正硅酸乙酯(TEOS)为硅源,氯化氧锆和硝酸亚铈为无机前驱盐,N-(2-氨乙基)-3-氨丙基三甲氧基硅烷(AAPTS)为硅烷化试剂,采用后接枝法合成了氨基功能化六方板状短孔道有序介孔材料H2N-Zr-Ce-SBA-15(H2N-ZCS).采用小角X射线衍射(LXRD)、傅里叶变换红外(FTIR)光谱、透射电子显微镜(TEM)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、热重分析、N2吸附/脱附等手段对H2N-ZCS进行了表征.结果表明AAPTS成功地嫁接到有序介孔材料上,H2N-ZCS仍保持了类似于传统SBA-15高度有序的二维六方相介孔结构,且孔道方向垂直于该六方板面.对阴离子染料酸性品红吸附实验表明,H2N-ZCS比H2N-SBA-15具有较强的吸附能力.这种功能化短孔道、大径轴比的六方板状介孔材料在吸附、分离及催化等领域中能更有效地促进分子的扩散传递.  相似文献

为了考察多级孔丝光沸石中介孔的存在对丝光沸石吸附平衡和动力学的影响,选择甲苯分子作为探针分子,对其在具有不同介孔孔隙度的多级孔丝光沸石上的吸附等温线和吸附动力学曲线进行了测试。结果表明,甲苯在多级孔丝光沸石上的吸附等温线可以很好地用双位Toth吸附模型进行描述,由拟合参数以及亨利常数(KH)和初始吸附热(Qst)的计算得知,相对于微孔丝光沸石,介孔的引入增大了甲苯在丝光沸石内的吸附量,但减弱了甲苯与沸石表面的相互作用力;另外,甲苯在多级孔沸石表现出高的吸附速率,并随介孔孔隙度的增加而增大,反映了沸石内介孔的存在可有效促进沸石的传质能力。  相似文献

In situ formation of the micro- and mesoporous structures of SBA-15 materials was investigated. It was found that the structure is significantly different from that for cylindrical or hexagonal pores, which suggests that the SBA-15 is more complex than an array of hexagonally ordered channels. Nitrogen adsorption isotherms at 77 K provided evidence that large (primary) mesopores are accompanied by a certain amount of significantly smaller pores with a broad distribution in the micropore/small-mesopore range within the mesoporous walls of main channels. It was found that the microporosity can be controlled by the time of heating as well as the synthesis temperature. The diffusion properties of n-heptane as a probe molecule in four selected SBA-15 samples with different micropore volumes were studied by the standard zero length column technique and related to their structural characteristics. The results have shown that the diffusion process involving n-heptane at a low concentration level takes place inside the walls of main mesoporous channels and depends on the relative content of micropores. In the samples that have a relatively high content of micropores, n-heptane diffusivities are relatively low, their activation energies are high, and the process is similar to diffusion in typical microporous adsorbents, like zeolites. As the micropore content is decreased, diffusion becomes more and more controlled by secondary mesopores of the intrawall pore structure, rendering diffusion faster and activation energies lower.  相似文献

The adsorption of ammonia on HKUST-1 (a metal-organic framework, MOF) and HKUST-1/graphite oxide (GO) composites was investigated in two different experimental conditions. From the isotherms, the isosteric heats of adsorption were calculated from the Clausius-Clapeyron equation following the virial approach. The results on HKUST-1 were compared with those obtained using molecular simulation studies. All materials exhibit higher ammonia adsorption capacities than those reported in the literature. The ammonia adsorption on the composites is higher than that measured separately on the MOF component and on GO. The strong adsorption of ammonia caused by chemical interactions on different adsorption sites is evidenced by the trends in the isosteric heats of adsorption. The molecular simulations conducted on HKUST-1 support the trends observed experimentally. In particular, the strong chemisorption of ammonia on the metallic centers of HKUST-1 is confirmed. Nevertheless, higher adsorption capacities are predicted compared with the experimental results. This discrepancy is mainly assigned to the partial collapse of the MOF structure upon exposure to ammonia, which is not accounted for in the simulation study.  相似文献

Based on a previous study of protein digestion inside the nanoreactor channels of the mesoporous molecular sieve silicate SBA-15 (Chem. Eur. J. 2005, 11: 5391), we have developed a highly efficient enrichment and subsequent tryptic digestion of proteins in SBA-15 for matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry with time-of-flight/time-of-flight analyzer (MALDI-TOF/TOF) peptide mapping. The performance of the method is exemplified with myoglobin and cytochrome c. First, protein adsorption isotherms for two standard proteins with a range of initial concentration of proteins were investigated at room temperature. The results revealed that the kinetic adsorption rate of a protein within SBA-15 was independent of initial protein concentration, and a 15-min protein enrichment within SBA-15 could be enough for protein identification in biological samples. It was noticed that no washing steps were needed to avoid protein loss due to desorption from the mesochannels into solution. Second, protein digestion inside the channels of SBA-15 was also optimized. After adsorption of proteins into SBA-15 in 15 min, the trypsin solution (pH 8) was directly added to the SBA-15 beads with immobilized proteins by centrifugation, and then the digestion was performed for 15 min at 37 degrees C. It was observed that a higher peptide sequence covering of 98% for myoglobin was obtained by MALDI-TOF/TOF analysis, compared to in-solution digestion. So the protein digestion inside SBA-15 was proved to be significantly faster and yielded a better sequence coverage. The new procedure allows for rapid protein enrichment and digestion inside SBA-15, and has great potential for protein analysis.  相似文献

Quasi equilibrated temperature programmed desorption and adsorption (QE-TPDA) of hexane and cyclohexane was applied for characterization of zeolites 5A, ZSM-5, 13X, Y, NaMOR and ordered mesoporous silicas MCM-41, MCM-41/TMB, SBA-15 and HMS. Similar QE-TPDA profiles of hexane and cyclohexane with a single desorption maximum were observed for the wide pore zeolites. No adsorption of cyclohexane for zeolite 5A and a single desorption maximum for ZSM-5 were found, while two-step desorption profiles of hexane were observed for these zeolites. Similar values of the adsorption enthalpy and entropy of hexane and cyclohexane were obtained by fitting the Langmuir model functions for the zeolites X and Y. For NaMOR and ZSM-5 larger differences in these parameters were found. A single desorption peak found at low temperatures in the QE-TPDA profiles of hexane and cyclohexane for the studied silicas was attributed to the multilayered adsorption on their mesopore surface. The adsorption isobars calculated from the thermodesorption profiles were fitted with the BET function. This way values of the specific surface area and the adsorption heat were calculated. Additionally values of the initial heat of adsorption were found by fitting the Henry’s law to the high-temperature sections of the linearized isobars. The largest deviations from the BET and Henry functions and the largest values of the adsorption heats found for SBA-15 indicated the greatest heterogeneity of the adsorption sites on its surface.  相似文献

In this work, the diffusion properties of single component n-heptane and toluene as well as their binary mixtures in two SBA-15 samples with different structural characteristics were studied by the standard Zero Length Column (ZLC) technique under three different concentration levels. A theoretical ZLC desorption model considering the Generalized Maxwell-Stefan (GMS) formulation was developed. Using the independently measured single component equilibrium and kinetic parameters, the model was able to reasonably predict experimental binary ZLC desorption curve for countercurrent diffusion of toluene in the presence of n-heptane. However, there was a significant deviation between model prediction results and experimental data for countercurrent desorption of n-heptane in the presence of toluene. The diffusion of n-heptane is reduced by the presence of toluene, regardless of the relative content of micropores in the intrawall pores, while that of toluene is virtually unaffected by the counter-diffusion of n-heptane. The observed phenomena cannot be addressed by the simple model considering the cross term diffusion effect. The structural property of material and the molecular characteristics of probe molecules were used to account for the difference in the behavior between n-heptane and toluene.  相似文献

Analytic expressions for unary and binary isosteric heats of adsorption as a function of the adsorbed phase loading were derived from the dual process Langmuir (DPL) model using the Clausius-Clapeyron equation. Unary isosteric heats of adsorption predicted from these expressions for several adsorbate-adsorbent systems were compared to values in the literature predicted from the well-accepted graphical approach using Toth and unilan models (Adsorption Equilibrium Data Handbook; Prentice Hall: NJ, 1989). Predictions from the DPL model were also compared to rare experimental unary and binary isosteric heats of adsorption in the literature for another adsorbate-adsorbent system. In all cases, very good agreement was obtained, showing that the DPL model can be used in adsorption process modeling for accurately predicting not only ideal and nonideal mixed-gas adsorption equilibria (Langmuir 2011, 27, 4700), but also unary and even binary isosteric heats of adsorption.  相似文献

The oil industry has been facing the challenges of separation of xylene isomers, o-xylene, m-xylene and p-xylene or removing them from the environment. In our present work, we investigated the adsorption of the three isomers on two mesoporous materials, FDU-15-350 polymer and FDU-15-900 carbon materials. The isomer adsorption capacities are well correlated with their physical pore properties. It is found that the micropores are very crucial for the adsorption of these three isomers. The more micropore volume the adsorbent has, the better the adsorption capacity is. Henry’s constants were also calculated for the three isomers on the two adsorbents. Both on FDU-15-350 polymer and FDU-15-900, the Henry’s constants for the three isomers show the same trend o>m>p xylene which is coincidently in accordance with their polarity trend, indicating more polar adsorbate is preferred for adsorption on the two adsorbents. The isosteric heats of adsorption are correlated with the microporosity and the size of the adsorbate molecule. More microporosity and smaller molecules give higher heats of adsorption. Extracted information on pore properties of adsorbents by using the three isomers has very similar results as that resolved from nitrogen adsorption, indicating the feasibility of using the three isomers as adsorbates to extract pore information. The isotherms of the total content, isosteric and average heats of adsorption, as well as characteristic energies of adsorption were determined from the isotherms of excess adsorption of carbon dioxide on six different carbon adsorbents at temperature ranging from 293 to 423 К at pressures up to 6 MPa. The average isosteric heats are in agreement with the average heats of adsorption, which were determined from the equation relating the heat of adsorption with the characteristic energy of adsorption.  相似文献
