The influence of metal cations (Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+, Ag+, Cd2+, Co2+, Fe2+, Hg2+, Mn2+, Pb2+, Zn2+ and Fe3+) on the spectroscopic properties of two dansyl (1-dimethylaminonaphthalene-5-sulfonyl) groups linked to the lower rims of a series of three, structurally related, di-ionized calix[4]arenes was investigated by means of absorption and emission spectrophotometry. Di(tetramethylammonium) salts of the di-ionized ligands, (TMA)2L1, (TMA)2L2 and (TMA)2L3, which differ in having zero, two and four tert-butyl groups, respectively, on the upper rim of the calix[4]arene scaffold were utilized for the spectrofluorimetric titration experiments in acetonitrile. On complexation by alkaline earth metal cations, both the absorption and emission spectra undergo marked red shifts and quenching of the dansyl fluorescence. These effects are weaker with alkali metal cations. Transition metal cations interact strongly with the ligands. In particular, Fe3+, Hg2+ and Pb2+ cause greater than 97% quenching of the dansyl fluorescence in the di-ionized ligands.  相似文献

A new rhodamine-based fluorescent chemosensor (1) for transition metal cations was synthesized by one-step facile condensation of rhodamine B and 2-aminopyridine. Without metal cations, 1 is colorless and nonfluorescent, whereas addition of metal cations (Fe3+, Hg2+, Pb2+, and Fe2+) leads to an obvious color change to pink and an appearance of orange fluorescence.  相似文献

A series of new calix[4]arene(amido)mono-crown compounds have been synthesized through aminolysis of calix[4]arene esters and intramolecular cyclization of the intermediates. The title compounds were converted into their nitro and azo substituted derivatives to provide novel photoresponsive molecular receptors for transition metal ions. Single crystal X-ray analysis of calix[4]arene(ethyleneamido)mono-crown (2a) revealed that the compound is present in a cone conformation with an amido loop that caps the lower rim of calix[4]arene cavity to result in stacking along axis a and axis c to provide supramolecular aggregates in the solid state. Evaluation of synthesized macrocycles in the solution phase for recognition of transition metal cations (Cr3+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Ag+, Cd2+, Pb2+, Hg+, Hg2+, Pd2+, and Pt2+) by UV-visible spectroscopy revealed that p-tert-butyl-calix[4]arene mono-(amidocrown) 1c selectively shows a blue shift at 38 nm on interaction with Hg+ ions.  相似文献

A novel calix[4]arene derivative with two ferrocenyl Schiff-base groups at the upper rim 3 has been synthesized from 5,17-diformyl-25,27-dipropoxy-26,28-dihydroxy calix[4]arene and 4-ferrocenylaniline via condensation reaction. Reduction of 3 with sodium borohydride led to calix[4]arene derivative 4 with two amino ferrocenyl groups at the upper rim. The ferrocenyl Schiff-base calix[4]arene and its corresponding reduced amine have been purified and characterized by elemental analysis,1H NMR, FTIR, Mass and UV-vis spectral data. Electrochemical properties of compounds 3 and 4 have been investigated. Cyclic voltammograms of 3 and 4 show reversible redox couples of ferrocene/ferrocinium at E1/2=0.401 V and 0.346 V, respectively. Electrochemical studies show these redox active compounds electrochemically recognize trivalent lanthanides La3+ and Ce3+ and divalent Pb2+ and Cu2+cations. With ferrocenyl Schiff-base calix[4]arene 3 an anodic shift as large as 130 mV is observed on addition of one equivalent of Ce3+ ion. Also extraction properties of compound 4 towards some metal cations have been described. It has been observed that compound 4 has a good selectivity for metal cations Fe3+, Cu2+, Pb2+ and Cd2+ against Ni2+ and Co2+.  相似文献

Four cone calix[4]arene-1,2-crown ethers each with two ionisable side arms containing dansyl groups are synthesised. The crown ether ring on the lower rim is varied from crown-4 to crown-5 with hydrogen or tert-butyl groups on the para position of the upper rim. Di(tetramethylammonium) salts of the di-ionised ligands are utilised for spectrofluorimetric titration experiments in MeCN. The influence of alkali metal, alkaline earth metal and selected transition and heavy metal (Co2+, Fe2+, Hg2+, Mn2+, Pb2+, Zn2+ and Fe3+) cations on the spectroscopic properties of the two dansyl groups linked to the lower rim of the conformationally locked, di-ionised calix[4]arene-1,2-crown ether frameworks is investigated by emission spectrophotometry. All of the metal cations induce red shifts in the emission spectra of the di-ionised ligands. The metal cations produce enhancement or quenching of the fluorescence emissions. Changes in the fluorescence emission as a function of the metal cation identity, the lower rim crown ether ring size and the absence or presence of upper rim tert-butyl groups are investigated.  相似文献

The synthesis and binding properties of resorcinarene-based cavitands functionalized with N-acylthiourea moieties towards different cations are described. Extraction studies with metal (Pb2+, Cu2+, Ag+, Hg2+, Cd2+, Eu3+, Fe3+, K+, Na+, and Ca2+) picrates and the incorporation in ion selective electrodes (ISEs), show that there is more than a 40% increase of the Ag+ extraction for N-acylthiourea ionophores (2, 3, and 8) in comparison with N-benzoyl-N′-benzylthiourea (9). Ionophore 8, which has a C3 chain between the platform and the ionophore, extracts two times more Cu2+ than the more rigid one (2). Stoichiometry studies showed for ligand 2 a ligand/metal ratio of 1:1, while for model compound 9 a ratio of 1:2 was found. Potentiometric studies of electrodes revealed that cavitands 2, 3, and 8 induce a significantly different selectivity pattern compared to the cation-exchanger used, as well as model compound 9. Especially, a considerable enhancement of the selectivity towards Ag+ and Pb2+ over K+, Ca2+, and Na2+ ions was observed.  相似文献

A simple Hg2+-selective chemodosimetric system based on thiosemicarbazone was investigated. The transformation of thiosemicarbazone into semicarbazone selectively exerted by Hg2+ ions and the dimerization of semicarbazone resulted in a pronounced OFF–ON-type fluorescent signaling behavior. The coexistent metal ions, such as Fe3+, Ca2+, Cu2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cd2+, Pb2+, Zn2+, Cr3+, Mg2+, Na+, K+, and Fe2+, had no obvious interference with the detection of Hg2+. In addition, S12–Hg2+ plays a high sensitivity for basic anions to form an ‘OFF–ON–OFF’ type signaling behavior, with the Hg2+-induced emission spectra can be quenched. Moreover, test strips based on S12 exhibited a good selectivity to Hg2+. We believe the test strips could act as a convenient and efficient Hg2+ test kit.  相似文献

Calix[4]crown-based chemosensors 1, 2, and reference 3 have been synthesized. The weak fluorescence intensity of 1,5-naphthalene of 1 suggests that the benzene rings of the calix[4]arene as well as the oxygen atoms of the crown-5 ring take part in PET. The complexation of two K+ ions by both crown-5 and 1,5-naphthalene-crown-6 loops of 1 caused fluorescence enhancement of the naphthalene unit by CHEF. Pb2+ acted as a quenching metal ion.  相似文献

The binding affinity for Pb2+, Cd2+ and Hg2+ of the sinapic acid–calix[4]arene hybrid 2, having four sinapyl pendants at the upper rim, has been investigated via an UV–Vis study. Compound 2 has better complexing ability than the monomeric p-phenetidine derivative 1. This highlights that the clustering of sinapyl units in a basket-like structure, dictated by the calixarene scaffold, greatly enhances the complexing properties. Ligand 2 forms complexes even with Hg2+, which is not complexed by 1 at all; the complexes formed by 2 with Pb2+ and Cd2+ are much stronger than the analogous complexes formed by 1. The UV–Vis investigation shows that the hybrid 2 markedly favors Pb2+ over Cd2+ and Hg2+. Information on the structural properties of the complex species was obtained by 1H NMR spectroscopy. NMR data show that all three metal ions are placed into the cavity consisting of the calixarene scaffold and the sinapyl pendants, though their binding affects the coordinating regions to a different extent.  相似文献

Two new indole derivatives have been synthesized by a one-pot procedure and their potential as fluorescence probes for metal ions was investigated. The sensor capability of 1 and 2 toward cations such as Ag+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Pb2+, and Hg2− was studied in dichloromethane solution by absorption, fluorescence emission, and 1H NMR titrations. Both probes showed selectivity for Ag+ and Hg2+ ions. The results suggest that these compounds may serve as promising models for future design of novel and more potent sensors.  相似文献

A series of novel tripodal ligands 3a-d, based on a mesitylene anchor, containing aza-thioethers as donor atoms and coupled with 4-(4/3/2-nitrophenyl)azophenol or 4-(2-chlorophenyl)azophenol have been synthesized as chromogenic receptors, which are highly selective for silver(I). The complexation behavior of 3a-d with various metal ions has been evaluated by UV-vis spectrometry in dioxane/water (1:9/v:v) solution at 25 °C. The UV-vis spectra show that the complexation of 3a-c with Ag+ have pronounced bathochromic shifts accompanied by a unique color change in the solution from yellow to red, which is visible with the naked eye. The ligands do not show any significant change on addition of other metal ions like Li+, Na+, K+, Sr2+, Ca2+, Cd2+, Zn2+, Hg2+, Pb2+, Ni2+, and Cu2+ and thus are highly specific and selective for Ag+ in the aqueous medium.  相似文献

Six new rhodamine-B based compounds were synthesized (1-6) and used as fluorescent turn-ON sensors for diethyl chlorophosphate (DCP) in aqueous media at pH 7.0. Compound 1 and 3 gave high fluorescent enhancement with DCP compared to the other compounds. Very high selectivity and sensitivity were observed as these compounds did not show significant fluorescent enhancement with dimethyl methylphosphonate (DMMP), HCl, and metal ions, such as Na+, K+, Ca2+, Cr3+, Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Hg2+, Pb2+. Depending on the way the sensor is presented, results are instantaneous or observed over some minutes.  相似文献

We report herein a pseudo-crown based fluorescent receptor (1) for the selective detection of Cu2+ cation. Receptor 1 can detect Cu2+ even in 5 μM level in acetonitrile-water (9:1 v/v). Compound 1 is very effective for the detection of Cu2+ amongst the series of metal ions studied (Li+, Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Ba2+, Pb2+, Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Hg2+ and Mn2+).  相似文献

1,3-Di(2-pyridylmethoxy)-p-tert-butyldihomooxacalix[4]arene-crown-6 (2) was synthesized for the first time. 2 was isolated in a cone conformation in solution at room temperature, as established by NMR spectroscopy (1H, 13C and NOESY). Complete assignment of both proton and carbon NMR spectra was achieved by a combination of COSY, HSQC and HMBC experiments. The binding properties of ligand 2 towards alkali, alkaline earth, transition and heavy metal cations have been assessed by phase transfer and proton NMR titration experiments. The results are compared to those obtained with other dihomooxacalix[4]arene-crowns-6 and closely-related calix[4]arene-crown derivatives. 2 shows a preference for the soft heavy metal cations (except for Cd2+), with a very strong affinity for Ag+. Some transition metal cations are also well extracted. 2 forms 1:1 complexes with K+, Ca2+ and Ag+, and 1H NMR titrations indicate that they should be encapsulated into the cavity defined by the crown ether unit and by the two pyridyl pendant arms. A 1:2 (ML2) complex is formed with Zn2+ and two species, probably 1:1 and 1:2 complexes, are obtained with Pb2+.  相似文献

A novel unsymmetrical cationic squaraine dye (USqH+), absorbing in the near-infrared region (600-850 nm), was synthesized by reacting a semi-squaric acid derivative 3-[4-(N,N-dioctylamino)phenyl]-4-hydroxycyclobutene-1,2-dione with the squarylium dye, bis(3-methylbenzothiazol-2-ylidene)squaraine. Addition of micromolar amounts of Hg2+ and Pb2+ to solutions of USqH+ in dichloromethane brings about significant changes in its absorption spectrum, resulting in a change in colour of the solution from green to pink. The absorption spectrum of the dye is relatively insensitive to other environmentally relevant metal ions, making it possible to visually detect Hg2+ and Pb2+ in the presence of other metal ions. Molecular modeling of the complexes at the density functional theory (DFT) and semiempirical PM3 levels strongly suggests that the oxygen atoms are the most likely choice for cation binding. The calculations also indicate a high affinity of Hg2+ and Pb2+ toward the formation of 2:1 complexes, which is in good agreement with the experimental results.  相似文献

Novel mesoporous silica-immobilized rhodamine (MSIR) and silica particle-immobilized rhodamine (SPIR) anchored by a tren (N(CH2CH2NH2)3) were synthesized. The binding and adsorption abilities of both MSIR and SPIR for metal cations were investigated with fluorophotometry and ion chromatography, respectively. Both MSIR and SPIR show selectivity for Hg2+ ion over other metal cations because the Hg2+ ion selectively induces a ring opening of the rhodamine fluorophores. The sensitivity of the MSIR for Hg2+ ion is greater than that of the SPIR and the MSIR adsorbs 70% of Hg2+ ion while the SPIR does only 40%. The MSIR can be also easily recovered by treatment of a solution of TBA+OH. For the application of Hg2+ detection in the environmental field, the MSIR-coated glass plate is also developed and exhibits an excellent function in visual and fluorescence changes with Hg2+ ion.  相似文献

A new pyrene derivative (1) containing a diaminomaleonitrile moiety exhibits high selectivity for Cu2+ detection. Significant fluorescence enhancement was observed with chemosensor 1 in the presence of Cu2+. However, the metal ions Ag+, Ca2+, Cd2+, Co2+, Fe2+, Fe3+, Hg2+, Mg2+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Pb2+, and Zn2+ produced only minor changes in fluorescence values for the system. The apparent association constant (Ka) of Cu2+ binding in chemosensor 1 was found to be 5.55×103 M−1. The maximum fluorescence enhancement caused by Cu2+ binding in chemosensor 1 was observed over the pH range 5-7.5.  相似文献

Calix[4]arene 3, which contains two distal triazole groups on the lower rim and two distal o-methoxyphenylazo groups on the upper rim, was synthesized and found to be a specific and ratiometric sensor for Hg2+ in a polar protic solvent. A series of o-methoxyphenylazo derivatives (3, 4, 5, 7, and 9) were synthesized, which proved that the lower-rim triazoles and the hydroxyl azophenol(s) were the major ligands for metal ion binding. Though analogues 4 and 10 showed some sensitivity for Hg2+, compound 3 was the only ratiometric chemosensor for Hg2+ among the series of azocalix[4]arenes synthesized in this work. The formation of 3·Hg2+ complex was supported by UV/vis and NMR titration studies and Mass spectrometry. Based on the symmetrical features of NMR spectra of 3·Hg2+, the complex is believed to be symmetrical with respect to the calix[4]arene cavity. Furthermore, the complex was determined to be 1:1 binding stoichiometry by Job’s plot, and the association constant was determined to be 4.02×103 M−1 using Benesi-Hildebrand plot.  相似文献

A simple (R)-(−)-2-phenylglycinol functionalized Schiff base L1 and its characterization as a fluorescent–colorimetric sensor for Hg2+ ion are described. The UV–vis and fluorescence analysis in methanol and aqueous solution show complex formation between L1 and Hg2+ ion with a micromolar association constant. Competition experiments performed for the acetate salts of Hg2+, Zn2+, Co2+, Pb2+, Cd2+, Mn2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, and Ba2+ revealed that compound L1 exhibits high selectivity toward Hg2+ displaying a color change easily detectable by naked-eye and a turn-off fluorescent effect due to a chelation-enhanced quenching (CHEQ) mechanism. Moreover, addition of EDTA to L1–Hg2+ recovers the fluorescence and color offering receptor L1 as a reversible sensor for real-time applications.  相似文献

The syntheses, characterization and metal ion complexation and extraction capabilities of six new calix[4]arene Schiff base compounds, 510, are reported. The preparation of the compounds was achieved by the condensation of 5,17-diamino-11,23-di-tert-butyl-25,27-di-n-butoxy-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene with the appropriate aldehyde (5-bromosalicylaldehyde for 5, 4-anisaldehyde for 6, 4-(dimethylamino)benzaldehyde for 7, 9-anthracenecarboxaldehyde for 8, 1-pyrenecarboxaldehyde for 9, and 9-fluorenecarboxaldehyde for 10) in refluxing ethanol. The compounds were characterized by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy, high-resolution mass spectrometry and elemental analysis. The X-ray crystal structures of 7, 8 and 9 (as dichloromethane solvates) revealed that the calixarene molecules adopt H-bond stabilized, distorted-cone conformations and form centrosymmetric dimers in the solid state. Compounds 510 did not form host–guest complexes with NEt4[(bdt)MoO2(OSiPh3)] (bdt2–=benzene-1,2-dithiolate), a potential precursor for biologically relevant oxosulfido-Mo(VI/V) enzyme models; such host–guest complexes have the potential to stabilize these sought-after but highly reactive model compounds. In addition, the capabilities of 510 to extract selected metal ions (Ni2+, Co2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Ag+, Pb2+, Cd2+ and Hg2+) from an aqueous into an organic phase have been assessed by picrate extraction experiments. Compound 5 displayed exceptional selectivity towards Ni2+, compound 7 exhibited enhanced extraction towards all of the metal ions tested and compounds 6, 9 and 10 showed very high selectivity towards Hg2+. On the other hand, compound 8 exhibited negligible capacity to extract any of the metal ions tested.  相似文献
