As a direct and viable synthesis of amino acids, the small organic molecule catalyzed asymmetric Strecker reactions have been explored successfully in recent years. For these catalysts, the active sites may be a guanidine group or similarly a urea group. In an effort to elucidate the reaction mechanism, we have investigated the bicyclic guanidine-catalyzed Strecker reaction of HCN and methanimine using density functional theory with the B3LYP method. Assisted by guanidine, two competitive pathways to aminoacetonitrile were rationalized. The aminoisoacetonitrile may not form due to the instability of the product.  相似文献

A pyridoxamine equivalent, 9-aminothioxanthene 10,10-dioxide, has been designed that is capable of affording transamination in good to excellent yields of natural as well as artificial amino acids. Amidines and guanidines in catalytic amounts were capable of performing [1,3]-proton transfer in the imines under mild conditions, whereas various simple amines failed. The use of chiral catalysts resulted in modest asymmetric induction (ee < or = 45%). The electronic dependence in para-substituted phenyl glyoxylate imines, isotope effects, and computational studies support a stepwise, bifunctional mechanism for amidine and guanidine catalysts. Attempts toward an autocatalytic model system are described.  相似文献

Ptilomycalin A and crambescidins, novel marine guanidine alkaloids, have a unique pentacyclic guanidine structure, and exhibit a considerable array of biological activities. The first method developed for the synthesis of the pentacyclic guanidine core structure involved successive 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions and resulted in the first total synthesis of crambescidin 359. The synthesis of other pentacyclic guanidine derivatives has been based on this methodology and applied as tools for studying biological activities, and as chemical reaction catalysts.  相似文献

The preparation of perfectly alternating and regioslective copolymers derived from the copolymerization of carbonyl sulfide (COS) and epoxides by metal-free Lewis pair catalysts composed of a Lewis base (amidine, guanidine, or quaternary onium salts) and a Lewis acid (triethyl borane) is described. Colorless and highly transparent copolymers of poly(monothiocarbonate) were successfully obtained with over 99 % tail-to-head content and high molecular weight (up to 92.5 kg mol−1). In most instances, oxygen–sulfur exchange reactions (O/S ERs), which would generate random thiocarbonate and carbonate units, were effectively suppressed. The turnover frequencies (TOF) of these Lewis pair catalyzed processes were as high as 119 h−1 at ambient temperature.  相似文献

CO2‐binding organic liquids (CO2BOLs) are mixtures of a base (typically an amidine or guanidine) and an alcohol, and have been shown to reversibly capture and release CO2 with low reaction energies and high gravimetric CO2 capacity. We now report the ability of such liquid blends to chemically bind and release other acid gases such as CS2, COS, and SO2 analogously to CO2. These systems bind with sulfur‐containing acid gases to form colored ionic liquids with new O‐alkylxanthate, O‐alkylthiocarbonyl, and O‐alkylsulfite anions. The capture and thermal stripping of each acid gas from these systems and their applicability towards flue gas desulfurization is discussed.  相似文献

Chiral guanidines have been widely used as Brønsted base catalysts and phase transfer catalysts in enantioselective reactions. Due to their amendable structure and powerful catalytic ability, they have attracted much interest. Several new catalysts containing a guanidinium moiety have been reported over the past decade and many promising outcomes have been achieved. This article illustrates the progress of chiral guanidine catalysis in asymmetric synthesis from 2009 to 2018. It is an update of a review of the same title published in 2009.  相似文献

Organic catalysts have found wide applications in organic synthesis. Many organic reactions, which originally do not occur under normal conditions or are difficult to operate normally, have been successfully conducted under mild conditions in the presence of catalysts. In recent years, 2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine (TCT, cyanuric chloride) has been used as organic catalyst in many organic synthesis, because it is stable, nonvolatile, inexpensive, commercially available, and easy to handle. On account of these properties it has been used as a green catalyst and sometimes is a catalyst of choice in organic reactions.  相似文献

The advantages of zinc catalysts, such as their low toxicity, low cost, and environmentally benignity, are encouraging organic chemists to explore their applications in organic synthesis. As a non‐redox metal, zinc catalysts have been investigated in redox reactions over the past few decades. Because of the importance of redox reactions, the interest in zinc catalysts, and the fact that no review on zinc‐catalyzed redox reactions has been published, herein, I have collected and summarized the main contributions in this area. This review is divided into two parts: reduction reactions and oxidation reactions.  相似文献

In the last decade, there has been growing interests in studies aimed at delineating the strategies used by various nucleic acid enzymes to facilitate catalysis. Insights gained from such studies would enable the design of better DNA/RNA catalysts for various applications such as biosensing. DNA and RNA catalysts have been shown to be able to catalyze myriads of reactions, including peroxidation reactions, which are catalyzed by G-quadruplexes. In this report, we provide data that clarifies how G-quadruplex peroxidases achieve catalysis. Firstly, we show that by covalently linking a hemin cofactor to DNAzymes, anti-parallel G-quadruplexes, which have been previously shown to be catalytically inefficient, can be "resurrected" to become good peroxidation catalysts. We also reveal that the relative rates of peroxidation by DNAzyme peroxidases depend on the nature of the organic reductant, arguing for a special binding site in the peroxidase-mimicking DNAzymes for catalysis.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline metal oxides, MgO, CuO, ZnO, TiO2 as catalysts or catalyst supports have been received much attention in the recent years, especially nanocrystalline magnesium oxide (NAP-MgO) has been used as a recyclable catalyst for Wittig, Wadsworth–Emmons, aza-Michael, Baylis–Hillman, Strecker, Aldol, Claisen-Schmidt condensation and other useful organic reactions. In general, it is reported that nanocrystalline magnesium oxide shows better activity in many organic reactions. These high reactivities are due to high surface areas combined with unusually reactive morphologies. The nanomaterials were also explored as supports to make supported metal catalysts for the organic reactions. The higher activity of these catalysts was studied partly to understand the mechanism of the reaction, the putative reaction pathways were preliminarily presented with the help of spectroscopic support, XPS, silicon, and phosphorus NMR spectroscopy. The catalysts are recovered and reused for several cycles. These catalytic systems are expected to contribute to the development of benign chemical processes.  相似文献

Two triphase catalysts (SLL) have been developed for organic phase-aqueous phase reactions catalyzed by suitable modified clay (solid phase). These triphase catalysts have been applied to nucleophilic displacement on activated (benzylic) as well as unactivated organic halides and provide a convenient and effective method of preparation of the corresponding products. Other useful transformations to, which these triphase catalysts have been successfully applied are the synthesis of 9,9-dichloro bicyclo[6.1.0]nonane, O-alkylation and C-alkylation of β-naphthol.  相似文献

In recent years, the most significant development in the field of synthetic organic chemistry has been the application of biological systems to chemical reactions. Reactions catalyzed by enzymes and enzyme systems display far greater specificities than more conventional organic reactions. Biological and/or enzymatic syntheses and transformations, that is, “microbial transformations,” have great potential. Some of these reactions have already been shown to have useful applications in the fields of synthetic organic chemistry and biotechnology. This article reviews the current status of the rapidly developing field of microbial transformation, the methodology, available technological procedures, and fields of application being described especially in relation to conventional organic synthesis methods.  相似文献

Polytopic ligands have become ubiquitous in coordination chemistry because they grant access to a variety of mono- and polynuclear complexes of transition metals as well as rare-earth and main-group elements. Nitrogen-based ditopic ligands, in which two monoanionic N,N-binding sites are framed within one molecule, are of particular importance and are therefore the primary focus of this review. In detail, bis(amidine)s, bis(guanidine)s, bis(β-diimine)s, bis(aminotroponimine)s, bis(pyrrolimine)s, and miscellaneous bis(N,N-chelating) ligands are reviewed. In addition to the general synthetic protocols, the application of these ligands is discussed along with their coordination chemistry, the multifarious binding modes, and the ability of these ligands to bridge two (or more) metal(loids).  相似文献

In just a few years, chemists have significantly changed their approach to the synthesis of organic molecules in the laboratory and industry. Researchers are encouraged to approach “greener” reagents, solvents, and methodologies, to go hand in hand with the world’s environmental matter, such as water, soil, and air pollution. The employment of plant and animal derivates that are commonly regarded as “waste material” has paved the way for the development of new green strategies. In this review, the most important innovations in this field have been highlighted, paying due attention to those materials that have played a crucial role in organic reactions: wool, silk, and feather. Moreover, we decided to focus on the other most important supports and catalysts in green syntheses, such as proteins and their derivates. Different materials have shown prominent activity in the adsorption of metals and organic dyes, which has constituted a relevant scope in the last two decades. We intend to furnish a complete screening of the application given to these materials and contribute to their potential future utilization.  相似文献

In this review, some applications of these catalysts in organic reactions are discussed.  相似文献

The development of new methods for enantioselective reactions that generate stereogenic centres within molecules are a cornerstone of organic synthesis. Typically, metal catalysts bearing chiral ligands as well as chiral organocatalysts have been employed for the enantioselective synthesis of organic compounds. In this review, we highlight the recent advances in main group catalysis for enantioselective reactions using the p-block elements (boron, aluminium, phosphorus, bismuth) as a complementary and sustainable approach to generate chiral molecules. Several of these catalysts benefit in terms of high abundance, low toxicity, high selectivity, and excellent reactivity. This minireview summarises the utilisation of chiral p-block element catalysts for asymmetric reactions to generate value-added compounds.  相似文献

Aldol condensation is an important synthetic method widely used in organic synthesis. Development of catalytic methods that avoids the production of stoichiometric by-products while maintaining high levels of control available from stoichiometric processes provides an atom-economical alternative for these important transformations. Indeed, numerous catalysts for the aldol reaction have been reported in recent years, including enzymes, catalytic antibodies, organometals, organocatalysts, and small molecules. The direct aldol reaction is the most important reaction employed by synthetic chemists and is common in nature. Recently, various Lewis acids have been examined as catalysts for aldol reactions, but aldol condensation in a micellar medium has not been studied in detail so far. Because of stronger environmental concerns, organic reactions in green media, especially in water, have attracted more attention. It is believed that micelles act as nano reactors to enhance the reaction rates and give very good to excellent yields of end products.  相似文献

Hybrid nanostructures (organomodified montmorillonite) have been synthesized on the basis of activated Na+-montmorillonite and new water-soluble ionogenic Na+-montmorillonite monomers containing quaternary ammonium guanidine cations. The structure and properties of poly(guanidine methacrylate) nanocomposites have been studied. It has been shown that these compounds efficiently adsorb heavy metals and exhibit a prolonged biocide effect due to the presence of quaternary ammonium guanidine cations.  相似文献

Metal-based catalysis, including homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, plays a significant role in the modern chemical industry. Heterogeneous catalysis is widely used due to the high efficiency, easy catalyst separation and recycling. However, the metal-utilization efficiency for conventional heterogeneous catalysts needs further improvement compared to homogeneous catalyst. To tackle this, the pursing of heterogenizing homogeneous catalysts has always been attractive but challenging. As a recently emerging class of catalytic material, single-atom catalysts (SACs) are expected to bridge homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic process in organic reactions and have arguably become the most active new frontier in catalysis field. In this review, a brief introduction and development history of single-atom catalysis and SACs involved organic reactions are documented. In addition, recent advances in SACs and their practical applications in organic reactions such as oxidation, reduction, addition, coupling reaction, and other organic reactions are thoroughly reviewed. To understand structure-property relationships of single-atom catalysis in organic reactions, active sites or coordination structure, metal atom-utilization efficiency (e.g., turnover frequency, TOF calculated based on active metal) and catalytic performance (e.g., conversion and selectivity) of SACs are comprehensively summarized. Furthermore, the application limitations, development trends, future challenges and perspective of SAC for organic reaction are discussed.  相似文献

Among the fundamental transformations in the field of synthetic organic chemistry, transition-metal-catalyzed reactions provide some of the most attractive methodologies for the formation of C-C and C-heteroatom bonds. As a result, the application of these reactions has increased tremendously during the past decades and cross-coupling reactions became a standard tool for synthetic organic chemists. Furthermore, a tremendous upsurge in the development of new catalysts and ligands, as well as an increased understanding of the mechanisms, has contributed substantially to recent advances in the field. Traditionally, organic reactions are carried out by conductive heating with an external heat source (for example, an oil bath). However, the application of microwave irradiation is a steadily gaining field as an alternative heating mode since its dawn at the end of the last century. This tutorial review focuses on some of the recent developments in the field of cross-coupling reactions assisted by microwave irradiation.  相似文献
