Metal phosphonates M (II){(2-C 5H 4N)CH 2NHCH 2PO 3} (H 2O) [M = Mn ( 1), Cd ( 2)] with chiral-layered structures are obtained by spontaneous resolution using achiral starting materials. The magnetic behavior of 1 is transformed from antiferromagnetic to ferromagnetic upon dehydration.  相似文献

The X-ray crystal structures, magnetic susceptibilities from 2 to 300 K, and theoretical analyses of the magnetism for 1D and trinuclear azido Cu(II) carboxylate complexes [Cu(1.5)(hnta)(N(3))(2)(H(2)O)](n) (1) and [Cu(3)(hnta)(4)(N(3))(2)(H(2)O)(3)] (2), respectively, where hnta is 6-hydroxynicotinate, are described. Although both exhibit strong ferromagnetic coupling, discrete complex 2 exhibits long-range ferromagnetic ordering, while the very similar 1D system 1 does not. Density functional calculations provided accurate J values and allowed rationalization of the ferromagnetic coupling in terms of the magnetic orbitals and spin densities.  相似文献

The syntheses, characterization and X-ray crystal structures of the first two examples of asymmetrically bridged dinuclear copper(ii) complexes containing a ferrocenecarboxylato ligand and a methoxo group in [{Cu(dmen)}2(micro-OMe){micro-O2C(eta5-C5H4)Fe(eta5-C5H5)}](ClO4)2, 1, (dmen=N,N-dimethylethylenediamine) or an hydroxo group in [{Cu(tmen)}2(micro-OH){micro-O2C(eta5-C5H4)Fe(eta5-C5H5)}](ClO4)2, 2 , (tmen=N,N,N'N'-tetramethylethylenediamine) are reported. Magneto-chemical studies revealed that 1 and 2 exhibit opposite superexchange interactions between the two Cu(II) paramagnetic centers: an antiferromagnetic coupling (J = -11 cm(-1)) in 1 and a ferromagnetic interaction (J = +29 cm(-1)) in 2. The results obtained from these studies suggest that the weak interactions between the Cu(II) ions and the perchlorate anions detected in the crystal structures are important to introduce significant distortions in the heterobridged [Cu2(micro-OR){micro-O2C(eta5-C5H4)Fe(eta5-C5H5)}]2+ cores of 1 and 2, which clearly affect the nature and strength of the superexchange interactions. Computational studies based on density functional theory and ab initio multiconfigurational second-order perturbation theory (CASPT2) calculations have also been performed in order to rationalize the magnetic behaviour of 1 and 2. The magneto-structural correlations for complexes containing the [Cu(micro-OR)(micro-O2CR')Cu] core are discussed, and the relevance of the out-of-plane angle of the R group with the Cu(micro-OR)Cu plane established.  相似文献

Reactions between [M(N(4)-macrocycle)](2+) (M = Zn(II) and Ni(II); macrocycle ligands are either CTH = d,l-5,5,7,12,12,14-hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane or cyclam = 1,4, 8, 11-tetrazaazaciclotetradecane) and [M(CN)(6)](3-) (M = Fe(III) and Mn(III)) give rise to cyano-bridged assemblies with 1D linear chain and 2D honeycomblike structures. The magnetic measurements on the 1D linear chain complex [Fe(cyclam)][Fe(CN)(6)].6H(2)O 1 points out its metamagnetic behavior, where the ferromagnetic interaction operates within the chain and the antiferromagnetic one between chains. The Neel temperature, T(N), is 5.5 K and the critical field at 2 K is 1 T. The unexpected ferromagnetic intrachain interaction can be rationalized on the basis of the axially elongated octahedral geometry of the low spin Fe(III) ion of the [Fe(cyclam)](3+) unit. The isostructural substitution of [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) by [Mn(CN)(6)](3-) in the previously reported complex [Ni(cyclam)](3)[Fe(CN)(6)](2).12H(2)O 2 leads to [Ni(cyclam)](3)[Mn(CN)(6)](2).16 H(2)O 3, which exhibits a corrugated 2D honeycomblike structure and a metamagnetic behavior with T(N) = 16 K and a critical field of 1 T. In the ferromagnetic phase (H > 1 T) this compound shows a very important coercitive field of 2900 G at 2 K. Compound [Ni(CTH)](3)[Fe(CN)(6)](2).13H(2)O 4, C(60)H(116)Fe(2)N(24)Ni(3)O(13), monoclinic, A 2/n, a = 20.462(7), b = 16.292(4), c = 27.262(7) A, beta = 101.29(4) degrees, Z = 4, also has a corrugated 2D honeycomblike structure and a ferromagnetic intralayer interaction, but, in contrast to 2 and 3, does not exhibit any magnetic ordering. This fact is likely due to the increase of the interlayer separation in this compound. ([Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)Zn(cyclam)] [Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)].22H(2)O.EtOH) 5, C(44)H(122)Fe(2)N(24)O(23)Zn(3), monoclinic, A 2/n, a = 14.5474(11), b = 37.056(2), c = 14.7173(13) A, beta = 93.94(1) degrees, Z = 4, presents an unique structure made of anionic linear chains containing alternating [Zn(cyclam)](2+) and [Fe(CN)(6)](3)(-) units and cationic trinuclear units [Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)Zn(cyclam)](+). Their magnetic properties agree well with those expected for two [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) units with spin-orbit coupling effect of the low spin iron(III) ions.  相似文献

We investigate the structures and magnetic properties of small Mn(n) clusters in the size range of 2-13 atoms using first-principles density functional theory. We arrive at the lowest energy structures for clusters in this size range by simultaneously optimizing the cluster geometries, total spins, and relative orientations of individual atomic moments. The results for the net magnetic moments for the optimal clusters are in good agreement with experiment. The magnetic behavior of Mn(n) clusters in the size range studied in this work ranges from ferromagnetic ordering (large net cluster moment) for the smallest (n=2, 3, and 4) clusters to a near degeneracy between ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic solutions in the vicinity of n=5 and 6 to a clear preference for antiferromagnetic (small net cluster moment) ordering at n=7 and beyond. We study the details of this evolution and present a picture in which bonding in these clusters predominantly occurs due to a transfer of electrons from antibonding 4s levels to minority 3d levels.  相似文献

Combinatorial estimations show that, within an unreacted ceramic sample prepared by mixing N different starting materials MxOy with average particle size approximately 1 microm, there are about 10(12) grains per cubic centimeter, sufficient for local reactions to occur that may produce a larger number of product oxides than presently accessible by 2D plate techniques. The "single-sample concept" (SSC) is proposed for performing property-directed syntheses for the preparation of ferri-/ferromagnetic or superconducting compounds. Because of the magnetic properties of the products, libraries of product grains can be sorted by means of magnetic separation techniques. For materials with a large magnetization, the separation efficiency is so high that traces of products can be isolated. The SSC concept was tested experimentally to prepare Fe-based oxides (N=17, 24, 30). The large yields (<75 wt %, N=17) of product grains agree with the literature data, which indicate that 3d metal magnetic oxide phases (Tc>300 K) are most probably Fe oxides. In combination with magnetic separation techniques, SSC seems particularly adapted for exploring the solid-state chemistry of metallic lead elements that form ferri-/ferromagnetic or superconducting oxide phases difficult to detect systematically within the large phase space of theoretically existing compounds.  相似文献

The suitability of [{(eta5-C5H5)Fe(eta5-C5H4)}4(eta4-C4)Co(eta5-C5H5)][PF6]2, [1][PF6]2, for use as a molecular quantum cellular automata (QCA) cell is demonstrated. To this end the structure of 1 in the solid state and the conversion of 1 to mono- and dicationic mixed-valence complexes have been accomplished. The latter compounds have been isolated as pure materials and characterized by IR, EPR, and M?ssbauer spectroscopies and single-crystal XRD (monocation only) and magnetic susceptibility measurements. Near-IR spectra demonstrate the mixed valence character of the cations (valence trapped on the IR, EPR and M?ssbauer time scales), and the energies of the intervalence charge-transfer bands provide a measure of the hole hopping frequency.  相似文献

Using first-principles calculations we systematically investigate the atomic, electronic and magnetic properties of novel two-dimensional materials (2DM) with a stoichiometry C3N which has recently been synthesized. We investigate how the number of layers affect the electronic properties by considering monolayer, bilayer and trilayer structures, with different stacking of the layers. We find that a transition from semiconducting to metallic character occurs which could offer potential applications in future nanoelectronic devices. We also study the affect of width of C3N nanoribbons, as well as the radius and length of C3N nanotubes, on the atomic, electronic and magnetic properties. Our results show that these properties can be modified depending on these dimensions, and depend markedly on the nature of the edge states. Functionalization of the nanostructures by the adsorption of H adatoms is found induce metallic, half-metallic, semiconducting and ferromagnetic behavior, which offers an approach to tailor the properties, as can the application of strain. Our calculations give insight into this new family of C3N nanostructures, which reveal unusual electronic and magnetic properties, and may have great potential in applications such as sensors, electronics and optoelectronic at the nanoscale.  相似文献

We report the syntheses, crystal structures, and magnetic properties of KMn(2)(H(3)O(2))(MoO(4))(2) (MnH), KMn(2)(D(3)O(2))(MoO(4))(2) (MnD), KFe(2)(H(3)O(2))(MoO(4))(2) (FeH), KFe(2)(D(3)O(2))(MoO(4))(2) (FeD), KCo(2)(H(3)O(2))(MoO(4))(2) (CoH), and KCo(2)(D(3)O(2))(MoO(4))(2) (CoD), and the magnetic structures of MnD and FeD. They belong to the structural variant (space group I2/m) of the mineral natrochalcite NaCu(2)(H(3)O(2))(SO(4))(2) (space group C2/m) where the diagonal within the ac-plane of the latter become one axis of the former. The structure of MnD, obtained from Rietveld refinement of a high-resolution neutron pattern taken at 300 K, consists of chains of edge-sharing octahedra bridged by MoO(4) and D(3)O(2) to form layers, which are connected to K through the oxygen atoms to form the three-dimensional (3D)-network. The X-ray powder diffraction patterns of the other two compounds were found to belong to the same space group with similar parameters. The magnetic susceptibilities of MnH and FeH exhibit long-range ordering of the moments at a Ne?el temperature of 8 and 11 K, respectively, which are accompanied by additional strong Bragg reflections in the neutron diffraction in the ordered state, consistent with antiferromagnetism. Analyses of the neutron data for MnD and FeD reveal the presence of both long- and short-range orderings and commensurate magnetic structures with a propagation vector of (?, 0, ?). The moments are antiferromagnetically ordered within the chains with alternation between chains to generate four nonequivalent nuclear unit cells. For MnD the moments are perpendicular to the chain axis (b-axis) while for FeD they are parallel to the b-axis. The overall total is a fully compensated magnetic structure with zero moment in each case. Surprisingly, for KCo(2)(D(3)O(2))(MoO(4))(2) neither additional peaks nor increase of the nuclear peaks' intensities were observed in the neutron diffraction patterns below the magnetic anomaly at 12 K which was identified to originate from a small quantity of a ferromagnetic compound, Co(2)(OH)(2)MoO(4).  相似文献

The development of carbon materials with high electrochemical performance for next-generation energy device is emerging, especially N, S co-doped carbon materials have sparked intensive attention. However, the exploration of N, S co-doped carbon with well-defined active sites and hierarchical porous structures are still limited. In this study, we prepared a series of edge-enriched N, S co-doped carbon materials through pyrolysis of thiourea (TU) encapsulated in zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (TU@ZIF) composites, which delivered very good oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) performance in alkaline medium with onset potential of 0.94 V vs. reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE), good stability and methanol tolerance. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations suggested that carbon atoms adjacent to N and S are probable active sites for ORR intermediates in edge-enriched N, S co-doped carbon materials because higher electron density can enhance O2 adsorption, lower formation barriers of intermediates, improving the ORR performance comparing to intact N, S co-doped carbon materials. This study might provide a new pathway for improving ORR activity by the integration engineering of edge sites, and electronic structure of heteroatom doped carbon electrocatalysts.  相似文献

Treatment of the zwitterionic amine tricarbollides of general formula 7-L-nido-7,8,9-C3B8H10 (1) (where L = Me2HN (1c) and ButH2N (1d)) with [(eta 5-C5H5)Fe(CO)2]2 in refluxing mesitylene resulted in the formation of a mixture of the known compounds [2-(eta 5-C5H5)-9-X-closo-2,1,7,9-FeC3B8H10] (2) (where X = H2N (2a), Me2N (2c), and ButHN (2d)) and a series of new, isomeric ferratricarbollylamines [2-(eta 5-C5H5)-10-X-closo-2,1,7,10-FeC3B8H10] (3) (where X = H2N (3a), Me2N (3c), and ButHN (3d)) in moderate yields. Complexes of type 3 (where X = H2N (3a), MeHN (3b), Me2N (3c), and ButHN (3d)) were also obtained readily by heating complexes of type 2 (where X = H2N (2a), MeHN (2b), Me2N (2c), ButHN (2d), and Bu(t)(Me)N (2e)) at ca. 300 degrees C for 10 min. All the complexes of type 3 contain reactive amine functions in meta positions with respect to the metal center. The observed 9-->10 rearrangement of the substituted cluster carbon is quite unexpected and is believed to result from higher thermodynamic stability of the 10-substituted isomers. The structures of all compounds of type 3 were established by high-field NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry, and that of 3d was determined by an X-ray diffraction study.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of two members of a family of porous magnetic materials is described. The structures of Co4(SO4)(OH)6(C2N2H8)0.5*3H2O and Co4(SO4)(OH)6(C6N2H12)0.5*H2O and their thermal stability can be tailored via the choice of organic pillar. The interactions between the pillaring agent and the compositionally complex inorganic layer are discussed. The influences of two pillaring agents i.e., the flexible ethylenediamine and the relatively rigid 1,4-diazabicyclo[2,2,2]octane, on thermal stability, rigidity upon guest loss, and magnetic behavior of the pillared solids are compared. The magnetism of the pillared layered cobalt hydroxides is complex due to the influences of multiple metal sites, inter- and intralayer exchange, spin-orbit coupling, and geometrical frustration. The wide variety of potential pillars, oxyanions, and possible metal substitutions at the octahedral and tetrahedral sites offers the possibility of tailoring the magnetic and porous properties of these materials.  相似文献

Combining long-range magnetic order with polarity in the same structure is a prerequisite for the design of (magnetoelectric) multiferroic materials. There are now several demonstrated strategies to achieve this goal, but retaining magnetic order above room temperature remains a difficult target. Iron oxides in the +3 oxidation state have high magnetic ordering temperatures due to the size of the coupled moments. Here we prepare and characterize ScFeO(3) (SFO), which under pressure and in strain-stabilized thin films adopts a polar variant of the corundum structure, one of the archetypal binary oxide structures. Polar corundum ScFeO(3) has a weak ferromagnetic ground state below 356 K-this is in contrast to the purely antiferromagnetic ground state adopted by the well-studied ferroelectric BiFeO(3).  相似文献

Two novel three-dimensional coordination polymers [Cu(6)(N(3))(12)(N-Eten)(2)](n) (1) (N-Eten=N-ethylethylenediamine) and {[Cu(9)(N(3))(18)(1,2-pn)(4)].H(2)O}(n) (2) (1,2-pn=1,2-diaminopropane) have been synthesized by the self-assembly reactions of Cu(NO(3))(2).3H(2)O, NaN(3) and small diamine ligands. Their molecular structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 is composed of a neutral 3D coordination framework based on unprecedented hexanuclear copper(ii) clusters which features three types of bridging modes for azide (mu-1,1, mu-1,3 and mu-1,1,3). Complex 2 is a novel 3D coordination polymer featuring octanuclear copper-azido clusters and [Cu(diamine)(2)](2+) units which are linked by azido bridges. Magnetic studies for complex show ferromagnetic ordering at 3.5 K, where the azido bridges mediate ferromagnetic coupling between adjacent Cu(II) ions. The magnetic data for 1 were fitted to a uniform hexanuclear copper model which yielded g=2.21, J=6.26 cm(-1), zJ'=0.39 cm(-1). Complex 2 shows ferromagnetic coupling in the octanuclear unit and antiferromagnetic interaction between neighboring units.  相似文献

We present the synthesis, characterization by DT-TGA and IR, single crystal X-ray nuclear structure at 300 K, nuclear and magnetic structure from neutron powder diffraction on a deuterated sample at 1.4 K, and magnetic properties as a function of temperature and magnetic field of Ni(3)(OH)(2)(SO(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2). The structure is formed of chains, parallel to the c-axis, of edge-sharing Ni(1)O(6) octahedra, connected by the corners of Ni(2)O(6) octahedra to form corrugated sheets along the bc-plane. The sheets are connected to one another by the sulfate groups to form the 3D network. The magnetic properties measured by ac and dc magnetization, isothermal magnetization at 2 K, and heat capacity are characterized by a transition from a paramagnet (C = 3.954 emu K/mol and theta = -31 K) to a canted antiferromagnet at T(N) = 29 K with an estimated canting angle of 0.2-0.3 degrees. Deduced from powder neutron diffraction data, the magnetic structure is modeled by alternate pairs of Ni(1) within a chain having their moments pointing along [010] and [010], respectively. The moments of Ni(2) atoms are oppositely oriented with respect to their adjacent pairs. The resulting structure is that of a compensated arrangement of moments within one layer, comprising one ferromagnetic and three antiferromagnetic superexchange pathways between the nickel atoms.  相似文献

The synthesis of a series of selenate containing natrochalcite, A(I)M(II)(2)(H(3)O(2))(SeO(4))(2) where A = Na or K and M = Mn, Co, or Ni (here labeled as AMH and AMD for the hydrogenated and deuterated compounds, respectively), the X-ray crystal structure determinations from single crystals (Ni) and powder (Mn), magnetic properties, and magnetic structures of the cobalt analogues are reported. The nuclear crystal structures for NaNiH, KNiH, and KMnH are similar to those reported for the cobalt analogues (NaCoH and KCoH) and consist of chains of edge-sharing octahedra (MO(6)) which are connected by H(3)O(2) and SeO(4) to form layers which are in turn bridged by the alkali, in an octahedral coordination site, to form the 3D-framework. The magnetic properties are characterized by antiferromagnetic interaction at high temperatures and antiferromagnetic ordering at low temperatures (NaCoH, 3.5 K; KCoH, 5.9 K; KNiH, 8.5 K; and KMnH, 16 K), except for KNi(2)(H(3)O(2))(SeO(4))(2) which displays a weak ferromagnetic interaction and no long-range ordering above 2 K. The neutron magnetic structures of the cobalt analogues, studied as a function of temperature, are different for the two cobalt salts and also different from all the known magnetic structures of the natrochalcite family. Whereas the magnetic structure of NaCoD has a k = (0, 0, 0), that of KCoD has one consisting of a doubled nuclear cell, k = (0, 0, 1/2). Both compounds have four magnetic sublattices related to the four cobalt atoms of the nuclear unit cell. In NaCoD the moments are in the bc-plane, M(y) = 2.51(2) μ(B) and M(z) = 1.29(4) μ(B), with the major component along the cobalt chain and the resultant moment, 2.83(3) μ(B), making an angle of 27° with the b-axis. The sum of the moments within the cell is zero. For KCoD the moment at each cobalt site has a component along each crystallographic axis, M(x) = 2.40(3), M(y) = 1.03(3), M(z) = 1.59(8) giving a total M = 2.49(3) μ(B). Within one nuclear cell the moments are fully compensated. The moments corresponding to the cobalt atoms of the second nuclear cell comprising the magnetic unit cell are oriented in opposite directions.  相似文献

The stirring of [ortho-(HC[triple bond]C)-C(5)H(4)N] with [nido-B(10)H(14)] in benzene affords [6,9-{ortho-(HC[triple bond]C)-C(5)H(4)N}(2)-arachno-B(10)H(12)] 1 in 93% yield. In the solid state, 1 has an extended complex three-dimensional structure involving intramolecular dihydrogen bonding, which accounts for its low solubility. Thermolysis of 1 gives the known [1-(ortho-C(5)H(4)N)-1,2-closo-C(2)B(10)H(11)] 2 (13%), together with new [micro-5(N),6(C)-(NC(5)H(4)-ortho-CH(2))-nido-6-CB(9)H(10)] 3 (0.4%), [micro-7(C),8(N)-(NC(5)H(4)-ortho-CH(2))-nido-7-CB(10)H(11)] (0.4%) , 4 binuclear [endo-6'-(closo-1,2-C(2)B(10)H(10))-micro-(1(C),exo-6'(N))-(ortho-C(5)H(4)N)-micro-(exo-8'(C),exo-9'(N))-(ortho-(CH(2)CH(2))-C(5)H(4)N)-arachno-B(10)H(10)] (0.5%) 5, and [exo-6(C)-endo-6(N)-(ortho-(CH[double bond]CH)-C(5)H(4)N)-exo-9(N)-(ortho-(HC[triple bond]C)-C(5)H(4)N)-arachno-B(10)H(11)] 6. An improved solvent-free route to 2 is also presented. This set of compounds features an increasing cluster incorporation of the ethynyl moiety, initially by an effective internal hydroboration, affording an arachno to nido and then a nido to arachno:closo sequence of cluster geometry. An alternative low-temperature route to internal hydroboration is demonstrated in the room temperature reaction of [closo-B(11)H(11)][N(n)Bu(4)](2) with CF(3)COOH and [ortho-(HC[triple bond]C)-C(5)H(4)N], which gives [micro-1(C),2(B)-[ortho-C(5)H(4)N-CH(2)]-closo-1-CB(11)H(10)] 7 (40%) in which one carbon atom is incorporated into the cluster; a similar reaction with [ortho-(N[triple bond]C)-C(5)H(4)N] affords [N(n)Bu(4)][7-(ortho-N[triple bond]C-C(5)H(4)N)-nido-B(11)H(12)], 8 (68%) and stirring [ortho-(N[triple bond]C)-C(5)H(4)N] with [nido-B(10)H(14)] quantitatively affords the cyano analogue of 1, [6,9-{ortho-(N[triple bond]C)-C(5)H(4)N}(2)-arachno-B(10)H(12)] 9. All compounds were characterised by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

Results of the study of structural and electronic properties of the 8-ZGNR/h-BN(001) heterostructure by the pseudopotential method using plane waves within density functional theory are presented. Within one approximation the features of the spin state at the Fermi level are studied along with the role of the edge and substrate effects in the opening of the energy gap in the 8-ZGNR/h-BN(001) heterostructure in both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic orderings. The effect of a substrate made of hexagonal boron nitride was found for the first time. It consists in the opening of the energy gap in the π electron spectrum of the 8-ZGNR/h-BN(001) heterostructure for the ferromagnetic spin ordering. It is shown that the gap was 30 meV. Contributions of the edge effects of the graphene nanoribbon and the substrate to the energy gap formation are differentiated for the first time. It is found that in the 8-ZGNR/h-BN(001) heterostructure the dominant role in the opening of the energy gap at the Fermi level is played by the edge effects. However, when the nanoribbon width decreases, e.g., to six dimmers the substrate role in the gap opening increases and amounts to 45%. Local magnetic moments of carbon atoms are estimated. It is shown that small magnetic moments are induced on boron and nitrogen atoms at the interface.  相似文献

Manual grinding of the organometallic complex [Fe(eta(5)-C(5)H(4)COOH)(2)] with a number of solid bases, namely 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane, C(6)H(12)N(2), 1,4-phenylenediamine, p-(NH(2))(2)C(6)H(4), piperazine, HN(C(2)H(4))(2)NH, trans-1,4-cyclohexanediamine, p-(NH(2))(2)C(6)H(10), and guanidinium carbonate [(NH(2))(3)C](2)[CO(3)], generates quantitatively the corresponding adducts, [HC(6)H(12)N(2)][Fe(eta(5)-C(5)H(4)COOH)(eta(5)-C(5)H(4)COO)] (1), [HC(6)H(8)N(2)][Fe(eta(5)-C(5)H(4)COOH)(eta(5)-C(5)H(4)COO)] (2), [H(2)C(4)H(10)N(2)][Fe(eta(5)-C(5)H(4)COO)(2)] (3), [H(2)C(6)H(14)N(2)][Fe(eta(5)-C(5)H(4)COO)(2)].2 H(2)O, (4.2 H(2)O), and [C(NH(2))(3)](2)[Fe(eta(5)-C(5)H(4)COO)(2)].2 H(2)O, (5.2 H(2)O), respectively. Crystallization from methanol in the presence of seeds of the ground sample allows the growth of single crystals of these adducts; therefore we were able to determine the structures of the adducts by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. This information was used in turn to identify and characterize the polycrystalline materials obtained by the grinding process. In the case of [HC(6)N(2)H(12)][Fe(eta(5)-C(5)H(4)COOH)(eta(5)-C(5)H(4)COO)] (1), the base can be removed by mild treatment regenerating the starting dicarboxylic acid, while in all other cases decomposition is observed. The solid-solid processes described herein imply molecular diffusion through the lattice, breaking and reassembling of hydrogen-bonded networks, and proton transfer from acid to base.  相似文献
