Building on our earlier work on toric residues and reduction, we give a proof of the mixed toric residue conjecture of Batyrev and Materov. We simplify and streamline our technique of tropical degenerations, which allows one to interpolate between two localization principles: one appearing in the intersection theory of toric quotients and the other in the calculus of toric residues. This quickly leads to the proof of the conjecture, which gives a closed formula for the summation of a generating series whose coefficients represent a certain naive count of the numbers of rational curves on toric complete intersection Calabi-Yau manifolds.  相似文献

Using the structure of the jet schemes of rational double point singularities, we construct “minimal embedded toric resolutions” of these singularities. We also establish, for these singularities, a correspondence between a natural class of irreducible components of the jet schemes centered at the singular locus and the set of divisors which appear on every “minimal embedded toric resolution”. We prove that this correspondence is bijective except for the E8 singulartiy. This can be thought as an embedded Nash correspondence for rational double point singularities.  相似文献

Homological mirror symmetry for crepant resolutions of Gorenstein toric singularities leads to a pair of conjectures on certain hypergeometric systems of PDEs. We explain these conjectures and verify them in some cases.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the concept of P-difference varieties and study the properties of toric P-difference varieties. Toric P-difference varieties are analogues of toric varieties in difference algebraic geometry. The category of affine toric P-difference varieties with toric morphisms is shown to be antiequivalent to the category of affine P [x]-semimodules with P [x]-semimodule morphisms. Moreover, there is a one-to-one correspondence between the irreducible invariant P-difference subvarieties of an affine toric P-difference variety and the faces of the corresponding affine P [x]-semimodule. We also define abstract toric P-difference varieties by gluing affine toric P-difference varieties. The irreducible invariant P-difference subvariety-face correspondence is generalized to abstract toric P-difference varieties. By virtue of this correspondence, a divisor theory for abstract toric P-difference varieties is developed.  相似文献

We study the family of graphs whose number of primitive cycles equals its cycle rank. It is shown that this family is precisely the family of ring graphs. Then we study the complete intersection property of toric ideals of bipartite graphs and oriented graphs. An interesting application is that complete intersection toric ideals of bipartite graphs correspond to ring graphs and that these ideals are minimally generated by Gröbner bases. We prove that any graph can be oriented such that its toric ideal is a complete intersection with a universal Gröbner basis determined by the cycles. It turns out that bipartite ring graphs are exactly the bipartite graphs that have complete intersection toric ideals for any orientation.  相似文献

The paper establishes a formula for enumeration of curves of arbitrary genus in toric surfaces. It turns out that such curves can be counted by means of certain lattice paths in the Newton polygon. The formula was announced earlier in Counting curves via lattice paths in polygons, C. R. Math. Acad. Sci. Paris 336 (2003), no. 8, 629-634.

The result is established with the help of the so-called tropical algebraic geometry. This geometry allows one to replace complex toric varieties with the real space and holomorphic curves with certain piecewise-linear graphs there.

We construct a matrix model that reproduces the topological string partition function on arbitrary toric Calabi–Yau threefolds. This demonstrates, in accord with the BKMP “remodeling the B-model” conjecture, that Gromov–Witten invariants of any toric Calabi–Yau threefold can be computed in terms of the spectral invariants of a spectral curve. Moreover, it proves that the generating function of Gromov–Witten invariants is a tau function for an integrable hierarchy. In a follow-up paper, we will explicitly construct the spectral curve of our matrix model and argue that it equals the mirror curve of the toric Calabi–Yau manifold.  相似文献

We develop differential and symplectic geometry of differentiable Deligne–Mumford stacks (orbifolds) including Hamiltonian group actions and symplectic reduction. As an application we construct new examples of symplectic toric DM stacks.  相似文献

Toric models have been recently introduced in the analysis of statistical models for categorical data. The main improvement with respect to classical log-linear models is shown to be a simple representation of structural zeros. In this paper we analyze the geometry of toric models, showing that a toric model is the disjoint union of a number of log-linear models. Moreover, we discuss the connections between the parametric and algebraic representations. The notion of Hilbert basis of a lattice is proved to allow a special representation among all possible parametrizations.  相似文献

Let D be an integer matrix. A toric set, namely the points in Kn parametrized by the columns of D, and a toric variety are associated to D. The toric set is a subset of the toric variety. We describe the relation between the toric set and the toric variety, in terms of the orbits of the torus action on the toric variety. The toric set depends on the sign (+,−,0) pattern of the matrix D. Finally, we prove that any toric variety over an algebraically closed field can be expressed as a toric set, for an appropriate matrix.  相似文献

The toric fiber product is an operation that combines two ideals that are homogeneous with respect to a grading by an affine monoid. The Segre product is a related construction that combines two multigraded rings. The quotient ring by a toric fiber product of two ideals is a subring of the Segre product, but in general this inclusion is strict. We contrast the two constructions and show that any Segre product can be presented as a toric fiber product without changing the involved quotient rings. This allows to apply previous results about toric fiber products to the study of Segre products. We give criteria for the Segre product of two affine toric varieties to be dense in their toric fiber product, and for the map from the Segre product to the toric fiber product to be finite. We give an example that shows that the quotient ring of a toric fiber product of normal ideals need not be normal. In rings with Veronese type gradings, we find examples of toric fiber products that are always Segre products, and we show that iterated toric fiber products of Veronese ideals over Veronese rings are normal.  相似文献

Consider the derived category of coherent sheaves, D b (X), on a compact Calabi–Yau complete intersection X in a toric variety. The scope of this work is to establish the (quasi-)unipotence of a class of elements in the group of autoequivalences, Aut(D b (X)). This is achieved by associating singularity categories, modelled by matrix factorizations, to the toric data. Each of these triangulated categories is equivalent to the derived category of coherent sheaves on X. The idea is then that, although the singularity categories share the group of autoequivalences, on each category there are elements in Aut(D b (X)), whose (quasi-)unipotence relations are easier to see than on the other categories.  相似文献

We construct full strong exceptional collections of line bundles on smooth toric Fano Deligne-Mumford stacks of Picard number at most two and of any Picard number in dimension two. It is hoped that the approach of this paper will eventually lead to the proof of the existence of such collections on all smooth toric nef-Fano Deligne-Mumford stacks.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of a pseudotoric structure on a symplectic manifold, generalizing the notion of a toric structure. We show that such a pseudotoric structure can exist on toric and nontoric symplectic manifolds. For the toric manifolds, it describes deformations of the standard toric Lagrangian fibrations; for the nontoric ones, it gives Lagrangian fibrations with singularities that are very close to the toric fibrations. We present examples of toric manifolds with different pseudotoric structures and prove that certain nontoric manifolds (smooth complex quadrics) have such structures. In the future, introducing this new structure can be useful for generalizing the geometric quantization and mirror symmetry methods that work well in the toric case to a broader class of Fano varieties.  相似文献

In this article, we study some algebraic and combinatorial behaviors of expansion functor. We show that on monomial ideals some properties like polymatroidalness, weakly polymatroidalness, and having linear quotients are preserved under taking the expansion functor.

The main part of the article is devoted to study of toric ideals associated to the expansion of subsets of monomials which are minimal with respect to divisibility. It is shown that, for a given discrete polymatroid P, if toric ideal of P is generated by double swaps, then toric ideal of any expansion of P has such a property. This result, in a special case, says that White's conjecture is preserved under taking the expansion functor. Finally, the construction of Gröbner bases and some homological properties of toric ideals associated to expansions of subsets of monomials is investigated.  相似文献

In this paper, we study toric ideals associated with multichains of posets. It is shown that the comparability graph of a poset is chordal if and only if there exists a quadratic Gröbner basis of the toric ideal of the poset. Strong perfect elimination orderings of strongly chordal graphs play an important role.  相似文献

A toric origami manifold, introduced by Cannas da Silva, Guillemin and Pires, is a generalization of a toric symplectic manifold. For a toric symplectic manifold, its equivariant Chern classes can be described in terms of the corresponding Delzant polytope and the stabilization of its tangent bundle splits as a direct sum of complex line bundles. But in general a toric origami manifold is not simply connected, so the algebraic topology of a toric origami manifold is more difficult than a toric symplectic manifold. In this paper they give an explicit formula of the equivariant Chern classes of an oriented toric origami manifold in terms of the corresponding origami template. Furthermore, they prove the stabilization of the tangent bundle of an oriented toric origami manifold also splits as a direct sum of complex line bundles.  相似文献
