We show that every symmetric 2-structure ${(P,\mathfrak G_1,\mathfrak G_2,\mathfrak K)}$ of the class (III) [cf. Karzel H et?al. (Result. Math., submitted)] is point symmetric, i.e. any two orthogonal chains ${A,B \in \mathfrak K}$ intersect in exactly one point and that any two points ${a,b \in P}$ have exactly one midpoint m :?=?a * b (with ${\widetilde m(a) = b}$ where ${\widetilde m}$ is the unique symmetry in the point m). ${ \widetilde{P} := \{\widetilde p \ | \ p \in P \}}$ is invariant, i.e. ${\forall a,b \in P : \widetilde a\circ \widetilde b\circ \widetilde a \in \widetilde P}$ . Therefore the pair ${(P,\widetilde{P})}$ is an invariant regular involution set and the loop derivation in a point ${o \in P}$ gives a K-loop (P,?+) uniquely 2-divisible.  相似文献

We consider the pseudo-euclidean space ${(\mathbb{R}^n, g)}$ , with n ≥  3 and ${g_{ij} = \delta_{ij} \varepsilon_i, \varepsilon_i = \pm 1}$ and tensors of the form ${T = \sum \nolimits_i \varepsilon_i f_i (x) dx_i^2}$ . In this paper, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for a diagonal tensor to admit a metric ${\bar{g}}$ , conformal to g, so that ${A_{\bar g}=T}$ , where ${A_{\bar g}}$ is the Schouten Tensor of the metric ${\bar g}$ . The solution to this problem is given explicitly for special cases for the tensor T, including a case where the metric ${\bar g}$ is complete on ${\mathbb{R}^n}$ . Similar problems are considered for locally conformally flat manifolds. As an application of these results we consider the problem of finding metrics ${\bar g}$ , conformal to g, such that ${\sigma_2 ({\bar g })}$ or ${\frac{\sigma_2 ({\bar g })}{\sigma_1 ({\bar g })}}$ is equal to a given function. We prove that for some functions, f 1 and f 2, there exist complete metrics ${\bar{g} = g/{\varphi^2}}$ , such that ${\sigma_2 ({\bar g }) = f_1}$ or ${\frac{\sigma_2 ({\bar g })}{\sigma_1 ({\bar g })} = f_2}$ .  相似文献

Let ${\Phi}$ be a continuous, strictly increasing and concave function on (0, ∞) of critical lower type index ${p_\Phi^- \in(0,\,1]}$ . Let L be an injective operator of type ω having a bounded H functional calculus and satisfying the k-Davies–Gaffney estimates with ${k \in {\mathbb Z}_+}$ . In this paper, the authors first introduce an Orlicz–Hardy space ${H^{\Phi}_{L}(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ in terms of the non-tangential L-adapted square function and then establish its molecular characterization. As applications, the authors prove that the generalized Riesz transform ${D_{\gamma}L^{-\delta/(2k)}}$ is bounded from the Orlicz–Hardy space ${H^{\Phi}_{L}(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ to the Orlicz space ${L^{\widetilde{\Phi}}(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ when ${p_\Phi^- \in (0, \frac{n}{n+ \delta - \gamma}]}$ , ${0 < \gamma \le \delta < \infty}$ and ${\delta- \gamma < n (\frac{1}{p_-(L)}-\frac{1}{p_+(L)})}$ , or from ${H^{\Phi}_{L}(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ to the Orlicz–Hardy space ${H^{\widetilde \Phi}(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ when ${p_\Phi^-\in (\frac{n}{n + \delta+ \lfloor \gamma \rfloor- \gamma},\,\frac{n}{n+ \delta- \gamma}]}$ , ${1\le \gamma \le \delta < \infty}$ and ${\delta- \gamma < n (\frac{1}{p_-(L)}-\frac{1}{p_+(L)})}$ , or from ${H^{\Phi}_{L}(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ to the weak Orlicz–Hardy space ${WH^\Phi(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ when ${\gamma = \delta}$ and ${p_\Phi=n/(n + \lfloor \gamma \rfloor)}$ or ${p_\Phi^-=n/(n + \lfloor \gamma \rfloor)}$ with ${p_\Phi^-}$ attainable, where ${\widetilde{\Phi}}$ is an Orlicz function whose inverse function ${\widetilde{\Phi}^{-1}}$ is defined by ${\widetilde{\Phi}^{-1}(t):=\Phi^{-1}(t)t^{\frac{1}{n}(\gamma- \delta)}}$ for all ${t \in (0,\,\infty)}$ , ${p_\Phi}$ denotes the strictly critical lower type index of ${\Phi}$ , ${\lfloor \gamma \rfloor}$ the maximal integer not more than ${\gamma}$ and ${(p_-(L),\,p_+(L))}$ the range of exponents ${p \in[1,\, \infty]}$ for which the semigroup ${\{e^{-tL}\}_{t >0 }}$ is bounded on ${L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ .  相似文献

Let ${\mathbb{Q}^3}$ be the moduli space of oriented circles in the three dimensional unit sphere ${\mathbb{S}^3}$ . Given a natural complex structure such space becomes a three dimensional complex manifold, with a M?bius invariant Hermitian metric h of type (2, 1). Up to M?bius transformations, all geodesics with respect to the Lorentz metric g = Re(h) on ${\mathbb{Q}^3}$ are determined to form a one-parameter family of circles on a helicoid in a space form ${\mathbb{R}^3, \mathbb{H}^3}$ or ${\mathbb{S}^{3}}$ , resp. We show also that any two oriented circles in ${\mathbb{S}^3}$ are connected by countably infinitely many geodesics in ${\mathbb{Q}^3}$ .  相似文献

Let A be a densely defined simple symmetric operator in ${\mathfrak{H}}$ , let ${\Pi=\{\mathcal{H},\Gamma_0, \Gamma_1}\}$ be a boundary triplet for A * and let M(·) be the corresponding Weyl function. It is known that the Weyl function M(·) determines the boundary triplet Π, in particular, the pair {A, A 0}, uniquely up to the unitary similarity. Here ${A_0 := A^* \upharpoonright \text{ker}\, \Gamma_0 ( = A^*_0)}$ . At the same time the Weyl function corresponding to a boundary triplet for a dual pair of operators defines it uniquely only up to the weak similarity. We consider a symmetric dual pair {A, A} with symmetric ${A \subset A^*}$ and a special boundary triplet ${\widetilde{\Pi}}$ for{A, A} such that the corresponding Weyl function is ${\widetilde{M}(z) = K^*(B-M(z))^{-1} K}$ , where B is a non-self-adjoint bounded operator in ${\mathcal{H}}$ . We are interested in the problem whether the result on the unitary similarity remains valid for ${\widetilde{M}(\cdot)}$ in place of M(·). We indicate some sufficient conditions in terms of the operators A 0 and ${A_B= A^* \upharpoonright \text{ker}\, (\Gamma_1-B \Gamma_0)}$ , which guaranty an affirmative answer to this problem. Applying the abstract results to the minimal symmetric 2nth order ordinary differential operator A in ${L^2(\mathbb{R}_+)}$ , we show that ${\widetilde{M}(\cdot)}$ defined in ${\Omega_+ \subset \mathbb{C}_+}$ determines the Dirichlet and Neumann realizations uniquely up to the unitary equivalence. At the same time similar result for realizations of Dirac operator fails. We obtain also some negative abstract results demonstrating that in general the Weyl function ${\widetilde{M}(\cdot)}$ does not determine A B even up to the similarity.  相似文献

In a natural way, we can ??lift?? any operation defined on a set A to an operation on the set of all non-empty subsets of A and obtain from any algebra ( ${A, \Omega}$ ) its power algebra of subsets. G. Gr?tzer and H. Lakser proved that for a variety ${\mathcal{V}}$ , the variety ${\mathcal{V}\Sigma}$ generated by power algebras of algebras in ${\mathcal{V}}$ satisfies precisely the consequences of the linear identities true in ${\mathcal{V}}$ . For certain types of algebras, the sets of their subalgebras form subalgebras of their power algebras. They are called the algebras of subalgebras. In this paper, we partially solve a long-standing problem concerning identities satisfied by the variety ${\mathcal{VS}}$ generated by algebras of subalgebras of algebras in a given variety ${\mathcal{V}}$ . We prove that if a variety ${\mathcal{V}}$ is idempotent and entropic and the variety ${\mathcal{V}\Sigma}$ is locally finite, then the variety ${\mathcal{VS}}$ is defined by the idempotent and linear identities true in ${\mathcal{V}}$ .  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{M}_{g,\epsilon}}$ be the ${\epsilon}$ -thick part of the moduli space ${\mathcal{M}_g}$ of closed genus g surfaces. In this article, we show that the number of balls of radius r needed to cover ${\mathcal{M}_{g,\epsilon}}$ is bounded below by ${(c_1g)^{2g}}$ and bounded above by ${(c_2g)^{2g}}$ , where the constants c 1, c 2depend only on ${\epsilon}$ and r, and in particular not on g. Using this counting result we prove that there are Riemann surfaces of arbitrarily large injectivity radius that are not close (in the Teichmüller metric) to a finite cover of a fixed closed Riemann surface. This result illustrates the sharpness of the Ehrenpreis conjecture.  相似文献

This paper addresses the question of retrieving the triple ${(\mathcal X,\mathcal P, E)}$ from the algebraic geometry code ${\mathcal C = \mathcal C_L(\mathcal X, \mathcal P, E)}$ , where ${\mathcal X}$ is an algebraic curve over the finite field ${\mathbb F_q, \,\mathcal P}$ is an n-tuple of ${\mathbb F_q}$ -rational points on ${\mathcal X}$ and E is a divisor on ${\mathcal X}$ . If ${\deg(E)\geq 2g+1}$ where g is the genus of ${\mathcal X}$ , then there is an embedding of ${\mathcal X}$ onto ${\mathcal Y}$ in the projective space of the linear series of the divisor E. Moreover, if ${\deg(E)\geq 2g+2}$ , then ${I(\mathcal Y)}$ , the vanishing ideal of ${\mathcal Y}$ , is generated by ${I_2(\mathcal Y)}$ , the homogeneous elements of degree two in ${I(\mathcal Y)}$ . If ${n >2 \deg(E)}$ , then ${I_2(\mathcal Y)=I_2(\mathcal Q)}$ , where ${\mathcal Q}$ is the image of ${\mathcal P}$ under the map from ${\mathcal X}$ to ${\mathcal Y}$ . These three results imply that, if ${2g+2\leq m < \frac{1}{2}n}$ , an AG representation ${(\mathcal Y, \mathcal Q, F)}$ of the code ${\mathcal C}$ can be obtained just using a generator matrix of ${\mathcal C}$ where ${\mathcal Y}$ is a normal curve in ${\mathbb{P}^{m-g}}$ which is the intersection of quadrics. This fact gives us some clues for breaking McEliece cryptosystem based on AG codes provided that we have an efficient procedure for computing and decoding the representation obtained.  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{P}}$ be a nonparametric probability model consisting of smooth probability densities and let ${\hat{p}_{n}}$ be the corresponding maximum likelihood estimator based on n independent observations each distributed according to the law ${\mathbb{P}}$ . With $\hat{\mathbb{P}}_{n}$ denoting the measure induced by the density ${\hat{p}_{n}}$ , define the stochastic process ${\hat{\nu}}_{n}: f\longmapsto \sqrt{n} \int fd({\hat{\mathbb{P}}}_{n} -\mathbb{P})$ where f ranges over some function class ${\mathcal{F}}$ . We give a general condition for Donsker classes ${\mathcal{F}}$ implying that the stochastic process $\hat{\nu}_{n}$ is asymptotically equivalent to the empirical process in the space ${\ell ^{\infty }(\mathcal{F})}$ of bounded functions on ${ \mathcal{F}}$ . This implies in particular that $\hat{\nu}_{n}$ converges in law in ${\ell ^{\infty }(\mathcal{F})}$ to a mean zero Gaussian process. We verify the general condition for a large family of Donsker classes ${\mathcal{ F}}$ . We give a number of applications: convergence of the probability measure ${\hat{\mathbb{P}}_{n}}$ to ${\mathbb{P}}$ at rate ${\sqrt{n}}$ in certain metrics metrizing the topology of weak(-star) convergence; a unified treatment of convergence rates of the MLE in a continuous scale of Sobolev-norms; ${\sqrt{n}}$ -efficient estimation of nonlinear functionals defined on ${\mathcal{P}}$ ; limit theorems at rate ${\sqrt{n}}$ for the maximum likelihood estimator of the convolution product ${\mathbb{P\ast P}}$ .  相似文献

A class of hyperbolic two-dimensional complexes X is defined. It is shown that the limit set of the action of π 1(X) on the universal covering ${\widetilde{X}}$ of X is equal to the visual boundary ${\partial \widetilde{X}}$ of and that ${\partial \widetilde{X}}$ is path connected and locally path connected. A kind of Sierpinski set is described which is homeomorphic to the visual boundary of certain ideal polyhedra.  相似文献

Let ${x: M^{m} \rightarrow \mathbb{S}^{m+1}}$ be an m-dimensional umbilic-free hypersurface in an (m?+?1)-dimensional unit sphere ${\mathbb{S}^{m+1}}$ , with standard metric I?= dx · dx. Let II be the second fundamental form of isometric immersion x. Define the positive function ${\rho=\sqrt{\frac{m}{m-1}}\|II-\frac{1}{m}tr(II)I\|}$ . Then positive definite (0,2) tensor ${\mathbf{g}=\rho^{2}I}$ is invariant under conformal transformations of ${\mathbb{S}^{m+1}}$ and is called M?bius metric. The curvature induced by the metric g is called M?bius curvature. The purpose of this paper is to classify the hypersurfaces with constant M?bius curvature.  相似文献

In their book, Rapoport and Zink constructed rigid analytic period spaces ${\mathcal {F}}^{wa}$ for Fontaine’s filtered isocrystals, and period morphisms from PEL moduli spaces of p-divisible groups to some of these period spaces. They conjectured the existence of an étale bijective morphism ${\mathcal {F}}^{a}\to {\mathcal {F}}^{wa}$ of rigid analytic spaces and of a universal local system of ? p -vector spaces on  ${\mathcal {F}}^{a}$ . Such a local system would give rise to a tower of étale covering spaces $\breve {{\mathcal {E}}}_{{\widetilde {K}}}$ of ${\mathcal {F}}^{a}$ , equipped with a Hecke-action, and an action of the automorphism group J(? p ) of the isocrystal with extra structure. For Hodge-Tate weights n?1 and n we construct in this article an intrinsic Berkovich open subspace ${\mathcal {F}}^{0}$ of ${\mathcal {F}}^{wa}$ and the universal local system on ${\mathcal {F}}^{0}$ . We show that only in exceptional cases ${\mathcal {F}}^{0}$ equals all of ${\mathcal {F}}^{wa}$ and when the Shimura group is $\operatorname {GL}_{n}$ we determine all these cases. We conjecture that the rigid-analytic space associated with ${\mathcal {F}}^{0}$ is the maximal possible ${\mathcal {F}}^{a}$ , and that ${\mathcal {F}}^{0}$ is connected. We give evidence for these conjectures. For those period spaces possessing PEL period morphisms, we show that ${\mathcal {F}}^{0}$ equals the image of the period morphism. Then our local system is the rational Tate module of the universal p-divisible group and carries a J(? p )-linearization. We construct the tower $\breve {{\mathcal {E}}}_{{\widetilde {K}}}$ of étale covering spaces, and we show that it is canonically isomorphic in a Hecke and J(? p )-equivariant way to the tower constructed by Rapoport and Zink using the universal p-divisible group.  相似文献

Let $ {\user1{\mathcal{C}}} $ be the commuting variety of the Lie algebra $ \mathfrak{g} $ of a connected noncommutative reductive algebraic group G over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. Let $ {\user1{\mathcal{C}}}^{{{\text{sing}}}} $ be the singular locus of $ {\user1{\mathcal{C}}} $ and let $ {\user1{\mathcal{C}}}^{{{\text{irr}}}} $ be the locus of points whose G-stabilizers have dimension > rk G. We prove that: (a) $ {\user1{\mathcal{C}}}^{{{\text{sing}}}} $ is a nonempty subset of $ {\user1{\mathcal{C}}}^{{{\text{irr}}}} $ ; (b) $ {\text{codim}}_{{\user1{\mathcal{C}}}} \,{\user1{\mathcal{C}}}^{{{\text{irr}}}} = 5 - {\text{max}}\,l{\left( \mathfrak{a} \right)} $ where the maximum is taken over all simple ideals $ \mathfrak{a} $ of $ \mathfrak{g} $ and $ l{\left( \mathfrak{a} \right)} $ is the “lacety” of $ \mathfrak{a} $ ; and (c) if $ \mathfrak{t} $ is a Cartan subalgebra of $ \mathfrak{g} $ and $ \alpha \in \mathfrak{t}^{*} $ root of $ \mathfrak{g} $ with respect to $ \mathfrak{t} $ , then $ \overline{{G{\left( {{\text{Ker}}\,\alpha \times {\text{Ker }}\alpha } \right)}}} $ is an irreducible component of $ {\user1{\mathcal{C}}}^{{{\text{irr}}}} $ of codimension 4 in $ {\user1{\mathcal{C}}} $ . This yields the bound $ {\text{codim}}_{{\user1{\mathcal{C}}}} \,{\user1{\mathcal{C}}}^{{{\text{sing}}}} \geqslant 5 - {\text{max}}\,l{\left( \mathfrak{a} \right)} $ and, in particular, $ {\text{codim}}_{{\user1{\mathcal{C}}}} \,{\user1{\mathcal{C}}}^{{{\text{sing}}}} \geqslant 2 $ . The latter may be regarded as an evidence in favor of the known longstanding conjecture that $ {\user1{\mathcal{C}}} $ is always normal. We also prove that the algebraic variety $ {\user1{\mathcal{C}}} $ is rational.  相似文献

We classify symmetric 2-structures ${(P, \mathfrak{G}_1, \mathfrak{G}_2, \mathfrak{K})}$ , i.e. chain structures which correspond to sharply 2-transitive permutation sets (E, Σ) satisfying the condition: “ ${(*) \, \, \forall \sigma, \tau \in \Sigma : \sigma \circ \tau^{-1} \circ \sigma \in \Sigma}$ ”. To every chain ${K \in \mathfrak{K}}$ one can associate a reflection ${\widetilde{K}}$ in K. Then (*) is equivalent to “ ${(**) \, \, \forall K \in \mathfrak{K} : \widetilde{K}(\mathfrak{K}) = \mathfrak{K}}$ ” and one can define an orthogonality “ ${\perp}$ ” for chains ${K, L \in \mathfrak{K}}$ by “ ${K \perp L \Leftrightarrow K \neq L \wedge \widetilde{K}(L) = L}$ ”. The classification is based on the cardinality of the set of chains which are orthogonal to a chain K and passing through a point p of K. For one of these classes (called point symmetric 2-structures) we proof that in each point there is a reflection and that the set of point reflections forms a regular involutory permutation set.  相似文献

In this article we introduce the notion of fundamental solution in the Colombeau context as an element of the dual $\mathcal {L}(\ensuremath {\mathcal {G}_{\mathrm{c}}}(\mathbb {R}^{n}),\widetilde {\mathbb {C}})$ . After having proved the existence of a fundamental solution for a large class of partial differential operators with constant Colombeau coefficients, we investigate the relationships between fundamental solutions in $\mathcal {L}(\ensuremath {\mathcal {G}_{\mathrm{c}}}(\mathbb {R}^{n}),\widetilde {\mathbb {C}})$ , Colombeau solvability and $\ensuremath {\mathcal {G}}$ - and $\ensuremath {\ensuremath {\mathcal {G}}^{\infty}}$ -hypoellipticity respectively.  相似文献

We study the structure of a metric n-Lie algebra G over the complex field C. Let G = SR be the Levi decomposition, where R is the radical of G and S is a strong semisimple subalgebra of G. Denote by m(G) the number of all minimal ideals of an indecomposable metric n-Lie algebra and R ⊥ the orthogonal complement of R. We obtain the following results. As S-modules, R ⊥ is isomorphic to the dual module of G/R. The dimension of the vector space spanned by all nondegenerate invariant symmetric bilinear forms on G is equal to that of the vector space of certain linear transformations on G; this dimension is greater than or equal to m(G) + 1. The centralizer of R in G is equal to the sum of all minimal ideals; it is the direct sum of R ⊥ and the center of G. Finally, G has no strong semisimple ideals if and only if R⊥■R.  相似文献
