Duals of constacyclic codes over a finite local Frobenius non-chain ring of length 4, the length of which is relatively prime to the characteristic of the residue field of the ring are determined. The main results of this paper are in two directions. First, the family of finite local Frobenius non-chain rings of length 4 (hence of nilpotency index 3) is determined. As a by-product all finite local Frobenius non-chain rings with p4 elements, (p a prime) are given. Second, the number and structure of γ-constacyclic codes over finite local Frobenius non-chain rings with nilpotency index 3, of length relatively prime to the characteristic of the residue field of the ring, are determined.  相似文献

Over finite local Frobenius non-chain rings with nilpotency index 3 and when the length of the codes is relatively prime to the characteristic of the residue field of the ring, the structure of the dual of γ-constacyclic codes is established and the algebraic characterization of self-dual γ-constacyclic codes, reversible γ-constacyclic codes and γ-constacyclic codes with complementary dual are given. On the equivalence of codes over rings and modules   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In light of the result by Wood that codes over every finite Frobenius ring satisfy a version of the MacWilliams equivalence theorem, a proof for the converse is considered. A strategy is proposed that would reduce the question to problems dealing only with matrices over finite fields. Using this strategy, it is shown, among other things, that any left MacWilliams basic ring is Frobenius. The results and techniques in the paper also apply to related problems dealing with codes over modules.  相似文献

Finite commutative semi-simple rings are direct sum of finite fields. In this study, we investigate the algebraic structure of λ-constacyclic codes over such finite semi-simple rings. Among others, necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of self-dual, LCD, and Hermitian dual-containing λ-constacyclic codes over finite semi-simple rings are provided. Using the CSS and Hermitian constructions, quantum MDS codes over finite semi-simple rings are constructed.  相似文献

We give an algebraic structure for a large family of binary quasi-cyclic codes. We construct a family of commutative rings and a canonical Gray map such that cyclic codes over this family of rings produce quasi-cyclic codes of arbitrary index in the Hamming space via the Gray map. We use the Gray map to produce optimal linear codes that are quasi-cyclic.  相似文献

It is shown that every Frobenius algebra over a commutative ring determines a class of solutions of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation, which forms a subbimodule of its tensor square. Moreover, this subbimodule is free of rank one as a left (right) submodule. An explicit form of a generator is given in terms of the Frobenius homomorphism. It turns out that the generator is invertible in the tensor square if and only if the algebra is Azumaya.

Self-dual codes, which are codes that are equal to their orthogonal, are a widely studied family of codes. Various techniques involving circulant matrices and matrices from group rings have been used to construct such codes. Moreover, families of rings have been used, together with a Gray map, to construct binary self-dual codes. In this paper, we introduce a new bordered construction over group rings for self-dual codes by combining many of the previously used techniques. The purpose of this is to construct self-dual codes that were missed using classical construction techniques by constructing self-dual codes with different automorphism groups. We apply the technique to codes over finite commutative Frobenius rings of characteristic 2 and several group rings and use these to construct interesting binary self-dual codes. In particular, we construct some extremal self-dual codes of length 64 and 68, constructing 30 new extremal self-dual codes of length 68.  相似文献

We study codes over Frobenius rings. We describe Frobenius rings via an isomorphism to the product of local Frobenius rings and use this decomposition to describe an analog of linear independence. Special attention is given to codes over principal ideal rings and a basis for codes over principal ideal rings is defined. We prove that a basis exists for any code over a principal ideal ring and that any two basis have the same number of vectors. Stabilizer codes obtained via the CSS code construction and the Steane's enlargement of subfield-subcodes and matrix-product codes coming from generalized Reed–Muller, hyperbolic and affine variety codes are studied. Stabilizer codes with good quantum parameters are supplied; in particular, some binary codes of lengths 127 and 128 improve the parameters of the codes in http://www.codetables.de. Moreover, non-binary codes are presented either with parameters better than or equal to the quantum codes obtained from BCH codes by La Guardia or with lengths that cannot be reached by them.  相似文献

Additive cyclic codes over Galois rings were investigated in Cao et al. (2015). In this paper, we investigate the same problem but over a more general ring family, finite commutative chain rings. When we focus on non-Galois finite commutative chain rings, we observe two different kinds of additivity. One of them is a natural generalization of the study in Cao et al. (2015), whereas the other one has some unusual properties especially while constructing dual codes. We interpret the reasons of such properties and illustrate our results giving concrete examples.  相似文献

Let R be a finite commutative chain ring, D2n be the dihedral group of size 2n and R[D2n] be the dihedral group ring. In this paper, we completely characterize left ideals of R[D2n] (called left D2n-codes) when gcd(char(R),n)=1. In this way, we explore the structure of some skew-cyclic codes of length 2 over R and also over R×S, where S is an isomorphic copy of R. As a particular result, we give the structure of cyclic codes of length 2 over R. In the case where R=Fpm is a Galois field, we give a classification for left D2N-codes over Fpm, for any positive integer N. In both cases we determine dual codes and identify self-dual ones.  相似文献
