For a class C of finite lattices, the question arises whether any lattice in C can be embedded into some atomistic, biatomic lattice in C. We provide answers to the question above for C being, respectively,– the class of all finite lattices;– the class of all finite lower bounded lattices (solved by the first author's earlier work);– the class of all finite join-semidistributive lattices (this problem was, until now, open).We solve the latter problem by finding a quasi-identity valid in all finite, atomistic, biatomic, join-semidistributive lattices but not in all finite join-semidistributive lattices.  相似文献

Let π be a finite set of primes. We prove that each soluble group of finite rank contains a finite index subgroup whose every finite homomorphic π-image is nilpotent. A similar assertion is proved for a finitely generated group of finite rank. These statements are obtained as a consequence of the following result of the article: Each soluble pro-π-group of finite rank has an open normal pronilpotent subgroup.

The subject of this paper are infinite, locally finite, vertex-transitive median graphs. It is shown that the finiteness of the Θ-classes of such graphs does not guarantee finite blocks. Blocks become finite if, in addition, no finite sequence of Θ-contractions produces new cut-vertices. It is proved that there are only finitely many vertex-transitive median graphs of given finite degree with finite blocks. An infinite family of vertex-transitive median graphs with finite intransitive blocks is also constructed and the list of vertex-transitive median graphs of degree four is presented. We prove that finite Morse index solutions to the Allen-Cahn equation in ℝ2 have finitely many ends and linear energy growth. The main tool is a curvature decay estimate on level sets of these finite Morse index solutions, which in turn is reduced to a problem on the uniform second-order regularity of clustering interfaces for the singularly perturbed Allen-Cahn equation. Using an indirect blowup technique, in the spirit of the classical Colding-Minicozzi theory in minimal surfaces, we show that the obstruction to the uniform second-order regularity of clustering interfaces in ℝn is associated to the existence of nontrivial entire solutions to a (finite or infinite) Toda system in ℝn–1. For finite Morse index solutions in ℝ2, we show that this obstruction does not exist by using information on stable solutions of the Toda system. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Our main goal is to develop a representation for finite distributive nearlattices through certain ordered structures. This representation generalizes the well-known representation given by Birkhoff for finite distributive lattices through finite posets. We also study finite distributive nearlattices through the concepts of dual atoms, boolean elements, complemented elements and irreducible elements. We prove that the sets of boolean elements and complemented elements form semi-boolean algebras. We show that the set of boolean elements of a finite distributive lattice is a boolean lattice.  相似文献

We give a necessary and sufficient condition for two Hopf algebras presented as central extensions to be isomorphic, in a suitable setting. We then study the question of isomorphism between the Hopf algebras constructed in [AG] as quantum subgroups of quantum groups at roots of 1. Finally, we apply the first general result to show the existence of infinitely many non-isomorphic Hopf algebras of the same dimension, presented as extensions of finite quantum groups by finite groups. We extend the definition of a finite conductor domain to rings with zero divisors, and develop a theory of these rings which allows us, among other things, to provide examples of non-coherent finite conductor domains, and to clarify the behavior of non-coherent polynomial rings, group rings and fixed rings over coherent rings.

We present finite truncations of the Aomoto-Ito-Macdonald sums associated with root systems through a two-step reduction procedure. The first reduction restricts the sum from the root lattice to a Weyl chamber; the second reduction arises after imposing a truncation condition on the parameters, and gives rise to a finite sum over a Weyl alcove.

We develop a new mathematical model for describing a dynamical system at limited resolution (or finite scale), and we give precise meaning to the notion of a dynamical system having some property at all resolutions coarser than a given number. Open covers are used to approximate the topology of the phase space in a finite way, and the dynamical system is represented by means of a combinatorial multivalued map. We formulate notions of transitivity and mixing in the finite resolution setting in a computable and consistent way. Moreover, we formulate equivalent conditions for these properties in terms of graphs, and provide effective algorithms for their verification. As an application we show that the Hénon attractor is mixing at all resolutions coarser than 10−5.  相似文献

A finite integration method is proposed in this paper to deal with partial differential equations in which the finite integration matrices of the first order are constructed by using both standard integral algorithm and radial basis functions interpolation respectively. These matrices of first order can directly be used to obtain finite integration matrices of higher order. Combining with the Laplace transform technique, the finite integration method is extended to solve time dependent partial differential equations. The accuracy of both the finite integration method and finite difference method are demonstrated with several examples. It has been observed that the finite integration method using either radial basis function or simple linear approximation gives a much higher degree of accuracy than the traditional finite difference method.  相似文献

We define a weakly finite conductor rings with zero divisors, and examine the transfer of these rings to the trivial ring extensions. These results provide examples of a weakly finite conductor rings that are not finite conductor rings (and so not coherent rings). The last section show that the class of weakly finite conductor rings and the class of 2-coherent rings are not comparable.  相似文献
