From the reaction between a dinuclear paddle-wheel carboxylate, namely [Cu2mu-(O2CCH2C4H3S)4] (1), and the flexible ligand 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane (BPP) a neutral 2-D coordination polymer [[Cu2(O2CCH2C4H3S)4mu-(BPP)2]]n (2) was obtained. Compounds 1 and 2 were characterized by means of elemental analysis, thermal analysis (TG/DSC), vibrational spectroscopy, and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). The crystal structure of 2 reveals that each Cu(II) is coordinated by two nitrogen atoms from different BPP ligands and two 3-thiopheneacetate groups within a distorted square planar geometry in a trans-[N, N, O, O] arrangement. The BPP ligand adopts a TG conformation bridging two copper centers giving rise to a 1-D sinusoidal polymeric chain along the crystallographic c axis. Adjacent 1-D chains are extended into a 2-D coordination network through pairs of monatomic carboxylate bridges in direction of the b axis. This bridging mode affords centrosymmetric dimeric units Cu2O2, and therefore, the copper ions are involved in a CuN2O2O' chromophore displaying a (4 + 1) square pyramidal coordination in the resultant 2-D polymeric network. The polycrystalline X-band EPR spectrum of 2 at room temperature is characteristic of a triplet state with nonnegligible zero-field splitting in agreement with the crystal structure. Crystal data for 2: monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c, a = 9.4253(10) A, b = 10.9373(10) A, c = 23.6378(10) A, beta = 98.733(4) degrees, Z = 2.  相似文献

1,3,5-Benzenetriphosphonic acid, H6BTP, 1,3,5-[(HO)2OP]3C6H3, was reacted hydrothermally with copper salts in the absence and presence of 4,4'-bipyridine (bpy) and 4,4'-trimethlyenedipyridine (tbpy) in a 1:1 molar ratio leading to three new organic-inorganic hybrid frameworks. Compound 1, {Cu6[C6H3(PO3)3]2(H2O)8} x 5.5 H2O, has three different copper ions that are interconnected by the highly charged [1,3,5-(PO3)3C6H3]6- anionic moieties. These moieties self-assemble through tetra-copper units to give a cagelike motif with two benzene rings parallel to each other at a distance of 3.531 A which extend along the a axis and link with a grouping of four-coordinated copper units in the b axis direction to give the cross-linked layered structure. In compound 2, Cu{C6H3[PO(OH)O]2[PO(OH)2]}(C10H8N2), the copper ions are in square pyramidal geometries and are interconnected via chelating and bridging BTP ligands into layers which are further cross-linked by bpy ligands into a pillared layered architecture. Compound 3, {Cu2C6H3[PO(OH)O]2[PO3](C13H14N2)} x 3 H2O x 0.5 HCON(CH3)2, contains tetra-copper units that are linked by BTP ligands and further linked by tbpy linkers in the c axis direction to produce a large channel-sized 3D framework.  相似文献

Tridentate Schiff-base carboxylate-containing ligands, derived from the condensation of 2-imidazolecarboxaldehyde with the amino acids beta-alanine (H2L1) and 2-aminobenzoic acid (H2L5) and the condensation of 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde with beta-alanine (HL2), D,L-3-aminobutyric acid (HL3), and 4-aminobutyric acid (HL4), react with copper(II) perchlorate to give rise to the helical-chain complexes [[Cu(mu-HL1)(H2O)](ClO4)]n (1), [[Cu(mu-L2)(H2O)](ClO4).2H2O]n (2), and [[Cu(mu-L3)(H2O)](ClO4).2H2O]n (3), the tetranuclear complex [[Cu(mu-L4)(H2O)](ClO4)]4 (4), and the mononuclear complex [Cu(HL5)(H2O)](ClO4).1/2H2O (5). The reaction of copper(II) chloride with H2L1 leads not to a syn-anti carboxylate-bridged compound but to the chloride-bridged dinuclear complex [Cu(HL1)(mu-Cl)]2 (6). The structures of these complexes have been solved by X-ray crystallography. In complexes 1-4, roughly square-pyramidal copper(II) ions are sequentially bridged by syn-anti carboxylate groups. Copper(II) ions exhibit CuN2O3 coordination environments with the three donor atoms of the ligand and one oxygen atom belonging to the carboxylate group of an adjacent molecule occupying the basal positions and an oxygen atom (from a water molecule in the case of compounds 1-3 and from a perchlorate anion in 4) coordinated in the apical position. Therefore, carboxylate groups are mutually cis oriented and each syn-anti carboxylate group bridges two copper(II) ions in basal-basal positions with Cu...Cu distances ranging from 4.541 A for 4 to 5.186 A for 2. In complex 5, the water molecule occupies an equatorial position in the distorted octahedral environment of the copper(II) ion and the Cu-O carboxylate distances in axial positions are very large (>2.78 A). Therefore, this complex can be considered as mononuclear. Complex 6 exhibits a dinuclear parallel planar structure with Ci symmetry. Copper(II) ions display a square-pyramidal coordination geometry (tau = 0.06) for the N2OCl2 donor set, where the basal coordination sites are occupied by one of the bridging chlorine atoms and the three donor atoms of the tridentate ligand and the apical site is occupied by the remaining bridging chlorine atom. Magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate that complexes 1-4 exhibit weak ferromagnetic interactions whereas a weak antiferromagnetic coupling has been established for 6. The magnetic behavior can be satisfactorily explained on the basis of the structural data for these and related complexes.  相似文献

Hydrothermal reactions of lanthanide(III) oxide and copper halide with isonicotinic acid (Hina) and pyridine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid (H2pdc) or 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid (H2bdc) lead to three novel lanthanide(III)-copper(I) heterometallic compounds, namely, [Ce2(ina)5(na)2(H2O)2][Cu5Br4] (1, na=nicotinic acid), [Er4(ina)8(bdc)2(OH)(H2O)5][Cu8I7] (2), and [Ce3(ina)8(bdc)(H2O)4][Cu7Br6] (3). Compound 1 is constructed from two distinct units of the Ln-organic double chains and inorganic [Cu5Br4]nn+ chains. Compound 2 consists of 2D Ln-organic layers and 1D [Cu8I7]nn+ cluster chains. Compound 3 can be viewed as a 1D [Cu6Br6]n chainlike motif inserted into the channels of a 3D Ln-Cu-organic motif. Compounds 1-3 exhibit three different 1D inorganic copper(I)-halide chains interconnected with metal-organic 1D chains, 2D layers, and 3D nets resulting in three mixed-motif non-interpenetrating heterometallic Cu-halide-lanthanide (Ln)-organic frameworks, which represent good examples and a facile method to construct such mixed-motif heterometallic compounds. Furthermore, the IR, TGA, and UV-vis spectra of 1-3 were also studied.  相似文献

Nine dinuclear copper(II) complexes with hxta5- ligands [H5hxta = N,N'-(2-hydroxy-1,3-xylylene)-bis-(N-carboxymethylglycine)]: [Cu2(MeO-hxtaH)(H2O)2] x 4H2O (1), [Na(micro-H2O)2(H2O)6][Cu2(Cl-hxta)(H2O)3]2 x 6H2O (2), [Cu(H2O)6][Cu2(Me-hxta)(H2O)2](NO3) x 2H2O (3), [Cu2(R-hxtaH)(H2O)3] x 3H2O [R = Cl (4), CH3 (5), and MeO (6)], [Cu2(MeO-hxtaH2)(micro-X)(CH3OH)] x 3CH3OH [X = Cl (7), Br (8)] and K5Na(micro-H2O)10[Cu2(micro-CO3)(Me-hxta)]2 x 4H2O (9), have been synthesized and structurally characterized. In complexes 4-7, the dinuclear units are linked via novel pairwise supramolecular interactions involving the ligand carboxylate groups. The intra- and intermolecular magnetic interactions have been quantified, and the coupling constants have been related to the structural geometries.  相似文献

Three transition-metal coordination polymers with azide and/or carboxylate bridges have been synthesized from 4-(3-pyridyl)benzoic acid (4,3-Hpybz) and 4-(4-pyridyl)benzoic acid (4,4-Hpybz) and characterized by X-ray crystallography and magnetic measurements. Compound 1, [Cu(4,3-pybz)(N(3))](n), consists of 2D coordination networks in which the uniform chains with (μ-EO-N(3))(μ-COO) double bridges are cross-linked by the 4,3-pybz ligands. Compound 2, [Cu(2)(4,4-pybz)(3)(N(3))](n)·3nH(2)O, consists of 2-fold interpenetrated 3D coordination networks with the α-Po topology, in which the six-connected dinuclear motifs with mixed (μ-EO-N(3))(μ-COO)(2) (EO = end-on) triple bridges are linked by the 4,4-pybz spacers. Compound 3, [Mn(4,4-pybz)(N(3))(H(2)O)(2)](n), contains 2D manganese(II) coordination networks in which the chains with single μ-EE-N(3) bridges (EE = end-to-end) are interlinked by the 4,4-pybz ligands, and the structure also features a 2D hydrogen-bonded network in which Mn(II) ions are linked by double triatomic bridges, (μ-EE-N(3))(O-H···N) and (O-H···O)(2). Magnetic studies indicated that the mixed azide and carboxylate bridges in 1 and 2 induce ferromagnetic coupling between Cu(II) ions and that 3 features antiferromagnetic coupling through the EE-azide bridge. In addition, compound 1 exhibits antiferromagnetic ordering below 6.2 K and behaves as a field-induced metamagnet. A magnetostructural survey indicates a general trend that the ferromagnetic coupling through the mixed bridges decreases as the Cu-N-Cu angle increases.  相似文献

Three isostructural Cu 2Ln 2 1-D polymers [Cu 2Ln 2L 10(H 2O) 4.3H 2O] n where Ln = Gd ( 1), Er ( 2), and Y ( 3) and HL= trans-2-butenoic acid, were synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography, electron paramagnetic resonance, and magnetic measurements. Pairs of alternate Cu 2 and Ln 2 dinuclear units are combined into a linear array by a set of one covalent eta (2):eta (1):mu 2 carboxylate oxygen and two H bonds, at Cu...Ln distances of ca. 4.5 A. These units exhibit four eta (1):eta (1):mu 2 and two eta (2):eta (1):mu 2 carboxylate bridges, respectively. Magnetic measurements between 2 and 300 K, fields B 0 = mu 0 H between 0 and 9 T, and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) measurements at the X-band and room temperature are reported. The magnetic susceptibilities indicate bulk antiferromagnetic behavior of the three compounds at low temperatures. Magnetization and EPR data for 1 and 3 allowed evaluation of the exchange couplings between both Cu and Gd ions in their dinuclear units and between Cu and Gd neighbor ions in the spin chains. The data for the isolated Cu 2 units in 3 yield g || = 2.350 and g [symbol: see text] = 2.054, J Cu-Cu = -338 (3) cm (-1) for the exchange coupling [ H ex(1,2) = - J 1-2 S1 x S2], and D 0 = -0.342 (0.003) cm (-1) and E 0 = 0.003 (0.001) cm (-1) for the zero-field-splitting parameters of the triplet state arising from anisotropic spin-spin interactions. Considering tetranuclear blocks Gd-Cu-Cu-Gd in 1, with the parameters for the Cu 2 unit obtained for 3, we evaluated ferromagnetic interactions between Cu and Gd neighbors, J Cu-Gd = 13.0 (0.1) cm (-1), and between Gd ions in the Gd 2 units, J Gd-Gd = 0.25 (0.02) cm (-1), with g Gd = 1.991. The bulk antiferromagnetic behavior of 1 is a consequence of the antiferromagnetic coupling between Cu ions and of the magnitude, |J Cu-Gd|, of the Cu-Gd exchange coupling. Compound 2 displays a susceptibility peak at 15 K that may be interpreted as the combined result from antiferromagnetic couplings between Er (III) ions in Er 2 units and their coupling with the Cu 2 units.  相似文献

Four new copper(II) complexes of formula [Cu(2)(tppz)(dca)(3)(H(2)O)].dca.3H(2)O (1), [Cu(5)(tppz)(N(3))(10)](n)() (2), [[Cu(2)(tppz)(N(3))(2)][Cu(2)(N(3))(6)]](n)() (3), and [Cu(tppz)(N(3))(2)].0.33H(2)O (4) [tppz = 2,3,5,6-tetrakis(2-pyridyl)pyrazine and dca = dicyanamide anion] have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction methods. The structure of complex 1 is made up of dinuclear tppz-bridged [Cu(2)(tppz)(dca)(3)(H(2)O)](+) cations, uncoordinated dca anions, and crystallization water molecules. The copper-copper separation across bis-terdentate tppz is 6.5318(11) A. Complex 2 is a sheetlike polymer whose asymmetric unit contains five crystallographically independent copper(II) ions. These units are building blocks in double chains in which the central part consists of a zigzag string of copper atoms bridged by double end-on azido bridges, and the outer parts are formed by dinuclear tppz-bridged entities which are bound to the central part through single end-on azido bridges. The chains are furthermore connected through weak, double out-of-plane end-on azido bridges, yielding a sheet structure. The intrachain copper-copper separations in 2 are 6.5610(6) A across bis-terdentate tppz, 3.7174(5) and 3.8477(5) A across single end-on azido bridges, and from 3.0955(5) to 3.2047(7) A across double end-on azido bridges. The double dca bridge linking the chains into sheets yields a copper-copper separation of 3.5984(7) A. The structure of 3 consists of centrosymmetric [Cu(2)(tppz)(N(3))(2)](2+) and [Cu(2)(N(3))(6)](2)(-) units which are linked through axial Cu.N(azido) (single end-on and double end-to-end coordination modes) type interactions to afford a neutral two-dimensional network. The copper-copper separations within the cation and anion are is 6.5579(5) A (across the bis-terdentate tppz ligand) and 3.1034(6) A (across the double end-on azido bridges), whereas those between the units are 3.6652(4) A (through the single end-on azido group) and 5.3508(4) A (through the double end-to-end azido bridges). The structure of complex 4 is built of neutral [Cu(tppz)(N(3))(2)] mononuclear units and uncoordinated water molecules. The mononuclear units are grouped by pairs to give a rather short copper-copper separation of 3.9031(15) A. The magnetic properties of 1-4 have been investigated in the temperature range 1.9-300 K. The magnetic behavior of complexes 1 and 4 is that of antiferromagnetically coupled copper(II) dimers with J = -43.7 (1) and -2.1 cm(-)(1) (4) (the Hamiltonian being H = -JS(A).S(B)). An overall ferromagnetic behavior is observed for complexes 2 and 3. Despite the structural complexity of 2, its magnetic properties correspond to those of magnetically isolated tppz-bridged dinuclear copper(II) units with an intermediate antiferromagnetic coupling (J = -37.5 cm(-)(1)) plus a ferromagnetic chain of hexanuclear double azido-bridged copper(II) units (the values of the magnetic coupling within and between the hexameric units being +61.1 and +0.0062 cm(-)(1), respectively). Finally, the magnetic properties of 3 were successfully analyzed through a model of a copper(II) chain with regular alternating of three ferromagnetic interactions, J(1) = +69.4 (across the double end-on azido bridges in the equatorial plane), J(2) = +11.2 (through the tppz bridge), and J(3) = +3.4 cm(-)(1) (across the single end-on azido bridge).  相似文献

Seven new polynuclear copper(II) complexes of formula [Cu(mu-pymca)2] (1) (pymca(-) = pyrimidine-2-carboxylato), [Cu(mu-pymca)Br] (2), [Cu(mu-pymca)Cl] (3), [Cu(mu-pymca)(SCN)(H2O)] x 4 H2O (4), [Cu(mu-pymca)N3] (5), [Cu2(mu1,5-dca)2(pymca)2] (6) (dca = dicyanamide), and K{[mu-Au(CN)2]2[(Cu(NH3)2)2(mu-pymca)]}[Au(CN)2]2 (7) have been synthesized by reactions of K-pymca with copper(II) ions in the presence of different counteranions. Compound 1 is a linear neutral chain with a carboxylato bridging ligand in a syn-anti coordination mode, whereas complexes 2 and 3 consist of cationic linear chains with cis and trans bis(chelating) pymca bridging ligands. Complex 4 adopts a helical pymca-bridged chain structure. In complex 5, zigzag pymca-bridged chains are connected by double end-on azide bridging ligands to afford a unique honeycomb layer structure. Complex 6 is a centrosymmetric dinuclear system with double mu 1,5-dicyanamide bridging ligands and pymca end-cap ligands. Complex 7 is made of pymca-bridged dinuclear [Cu(NH3)2(mu-pymca)Cu(NH3)2](3+) units connected by [Au(CN)2](-) anions to four other dinuclear units, giving rise to cationic (4,4) rectangular nets, which are linked by aurophilic interactions to afford a singular 3D network. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements show that complex 1 exhibits a very weak antiferromagnetic coupling through the syn-anti (equatorial-axial) carboxylate bridge (J = -0.57 cm(-1)), whereas complexes 2-4 and 7 exhibit weak to strong antiferromagnetic couplings through the bis(chelating) pymca bridging ligand J = -17.5-276.1 cm(-1)). Quantum Monte Carlo methods have been used to analyze the experimental magnetic data for 5, leading to an antiferromagnetic coupling (J = -34 cm(-1)) through the pymca ligand and to a ferromagnetic coupling (J = 71 cm(-1)) through the azide bridging ligands. Complex 6 exhibits a very weak antiferromagnetic coupling through the dicyanamide bridging ligands (J = -5.1 cm(-1)). The magnitudes of the magnetic couplings in complexes 2-5 have been explained on the basis of the overlapping between magnetic orbitals and DFT theoretical calculations.  相似文献

Three malonato-bridged copper(II) complexes of the formulas [[Cu(H2O)3][Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)]]n (1), [[Cu(H2O)4]2[Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)]] [Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2][[Cu(H2O)4][Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2]] (2), and [Cu(H2O)4][Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2] (3) (C3H2O4 = malonate dianion) have been prepared, and the structures of the two former have been solved by X-ray diffraction methods. The structure of compound 3 was already known. Complex 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pcab, Z = 8, with unit cell parameters of a = 10.339(1) A, b = 13.222(2) A, and c = 17.394(4) A. Complex 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2/c, Z = 4, with unit cell parameters of a = 21.100(4) A, b = 21.088(4) A, c = 14.007(2) A, and beta = 115.93(2) degrees. Complex 1 is a chain compound with a regular alternation of aquabis(malonato)copper(II) and triaquacopper(II) units developing along the z axis. The aquabis(malonato)copper(II) unit acts as a bridging ligand through two slightly different trans-carboxylato groups exhibiting an anti-syn coordination mode. The four carboxylate oxygens, in the basal plane, and the one water molecule, in the apical position, describe a distorted square pyramid around Cu1, whereas the same metal surroundings are observed around Cu2 but with three water molecules and one carboxylate oxygen building the equatorial plane and a carboxylate oxygen from another malonato filling the apical site. Complex 2 is made up of discrete mono-, di-, and trinuclear copper(II) complexes of the formulas [Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2]2-, [[Cu(H2O)4] [Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2]], and [[Cu(H2O)4]2[Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)]]2+, respectively, which coexist in a single crystal. The copper environment in the mononuclear unit is that of an elongated octahedron with four carboxylate oxygens building the equatorial plane and two water molecules assuming the axial positions. The neutral dinuclear unit contains two types of copper atoms, one that is six-coordinated, as in the mononuclear entity, and another that is distorted square pyramidal with four water molecules building the basal plane and a carboxylate oxygen in the apical position. The overall structure of this dinuclear entity is nearly identical to that of compound 3. Finally, the cationic trimer consists of an aquabis(malonato)copper(II) complex that acts as a bismonodentate ligand through two cis-carboxylato groups (anti-syn coordination mode) toward two tetraaqua-copper(II) terminal units. The environment of the copper atoms is distorted square pyramidal with four carboxylate oxygens (four water molecules) building the basal plane of the central (terminal) copper atom and a water molecule (a carboxylate oxygen) filling the axial position. The magnetic properties of 1-3 have been investigated in the temperature range 1.9-290 K. Overall, ferromagnetic behavior is observed in the three cases: two weak, alternating intrachain ferromagnetic interactions (J = 3.0 cm-1 and alpha J = 1.9 cm-1 with H = -J sigma i[S2i.S2i-1 + alpha S2i.S2i+1]) occur in 1, whereas the magnetic behavior of 2 is the sum of a magnetically isolated spin doublet and ferromagnetically coupled di- (J3 = 1.8 cm-1 from the magnetic study of the model complex 3) and trinuclear (J = 1.2 cm-1 with H = -J (S1.S2 + S1.S3) copper(II) units. The exchange pathway that accounts for the ferromagnetic coupling, through an anti-syn carboxylato bridge, is discussed in the light of the available magneto-structural data.  相似文献

New homo- and heterometallic, hexa- and pentanuclear complexes of formula {[Cu2(mpba)2(H2O)F][Cu(Me5dien)]4}(PF6)(3).5H2O (1), {[Cu2(Me3mpba)2(H2O)2][Cu(Me5dien)]4}(ClO4)(4).12H2O (2), {[Cu2(ppba)2][Cu(Me5dien)]4}(ClO4)4 (3), and [Ni(cyclam)]{[Cu2(mpba)2][Ni(cyclam)]3}(ClO4)(4).6H2O (4) [mpba=1,3-phenylenebis(oxamate), Me3mpba=2,4,6-trimethyl-1,3-phenylenebis(oxamate), ppba=1,4-phenylenebis(oxamate), Me5dien=N,N,N'N' ',N' '-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine, and cyclam=1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane] have been synthesized through the use of the "complex-as-ligand/complex-as-metal" strategy. The structures of 1-3 consist of cationic CuII6 entities with an overall [2x2] ladder-type architecture which is made up of two oxamato-bridged CuII3 linear units connected through two m- or p-phenylenediamidate bridges between the two central copper atoms to give a binuclear metallacyclic core of the cyclophane-type. Complex 4 consists of cationic CuII2NiII3 entities with an incomplete [2x2] ladder-type architecture which is made up of oxamato-bridged CuIINiII and CuIINiII2 linear units connected through two m-phenylenediamidate bridges between the two copper atoms to give a binuclear metallacyclophane core. The magnetic properties of 1-3 and 4 have been interpreted according to their distinct "dimer-of-trimers" and "dimer-plus-trimer" structures, respectively, (H=-J(S1A.S3A+S1A.S4A+S2B.S5B+S2B.S6B)-J'S1A.S2B). Complexes 1-4 exhibit moderate to strong antiferromagnetic coupling through the oxamate bridges (-JCu-Cu=81.3-105.9 cm-1; -JCu-Ni=111.6 cm-1) in the trinuclear and/or binuclear units. Within the binuclear metallacyclophane core, a weak to moderate ferromagnetic coupling (J'Cu-Cu=1.7-9.0 cm-1) operates through the double m-phenylenediamidate bridge, while a strong antiferromagnetic coupling (J'Cu-Cu=-120.6 cm-1) is mediated by the double p-phenylenediamidate bridge.  相似文献

Discrete dinuclear and polymeric heterometallic copper(II)-lanthanide(III) complexes have been synthesized upon variation of pH and characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis. Reactions of the ligand Htza (tetrazole-1-acetic acid) with copper(II) and lanthanide(III) salts gave dinuclear [CuLn(tza)4(H2O)5Cl] complexes at the low pH of 3.5 and 2D heterometallic coordination polymers with high-nuclearity [{Cu2(OH)2}2{Cu12Ln6(mu3-OH)24(Cl)(1/2)(NO3)(1/2)(tza)12(H2O)18}](NO3)(9).8H2O (Ln = Gd or Nd) at a higher pH of 6.6. The acidity of the reaction solution can cause drastic changes in the structures of the products. In the dinuclear complexes, each pair of adjacent dinuclear molecules is linked through hydrogen bonds and pi-pi stacking interactions, and the whole structure is a hydrogen-bonded three-dimensional cubic net. In the coordination polymers, the connecting nodes are [Cu12Ln6] units, which are interconnected by [Cu2O2] units into two-dimensional structures. Magnetic studies exhibit the existence of weak exchange interactions between the Cu(II) and Ln(III) ions bridged by carboxylate and hydroxy ligands.  相似文献

Reactions between CuCl2 and K2tcpd (tcpd2- = [C10N6]2- = (C[C(CN)2]3)2-) in the presence of neutral co-ligands (bpym = 2,2'-bipyrimidine, and tn = 1,3-diaminopropane) in aqueous solution yield the new compounds [Cu2(bpym)(tcpd)2(H2O)4] x 2H2O (1), [Cu(tn)(tcpd)] (2), and [Cu(tn)2(tcpd)] x H2O (3), which are characterized by X-ray crystallography and magnetic measurements. Compound 1 displays a one-dimensional structure in which the bpym ligand, acting with a bis-chelating coordination mode, leads to [Cu2(bpym)]4+ dinuclear units which are connected by two mu2-tcpd2- bridging ligands. Compound 2 consists of a three-dimensional structure generated by [Cu(tn)]2+ units connected by a mu4-tcpd2- ligand. The structure of 3 is made up of centrosymmetric planar [Cu(tn)]2+ units connected by a mu2-tcpd2- ligand leading to infinite zigzag chains. In compounds 1 and 3, the bridging coordination mode of the tcpd2- unit involves only two nitrogen atoms of one C(CN)2 wing, while in 2, this ligand acts via four nitrogen atoms of two C(CN)2 wings. Despite this difference, the structural features of the tcpd2- units in 1-3 are essentially similar. Magnetic measurements for compound 1 exhibit a maximum in the chi(m) vs T plot (at approximately 150 K) which is characteristic of strong antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between the Cu(II) metal ions dominated by the magnetic exchange through the bis-chelating bpym. The fit of the magnetic data to a dimer model gives J and g values of -90.0 cm(-1) and 2.12, respectively. For compounds 2 and 3 the thermal variations of the magnetic susceptibility show weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the Cu(II) metal ions that can be well reproduced with an antiferromagnetic regular S = 1/2 chain model that gives J values of -0.07(2) and -0.18(1) cm(-1) with g values of 2.12(1) and 2.13(1) for compounds 2 and 3, respectively (the Hamiltonian is written in all the cases as H = -2JS(a)S(b)).  相似文献

The structures of five dicopper complexes of binucleating ligand HL-H (N,N,N',N'-tetrakis[(2-benzimidazolyl)methyl]-2-hydroxy-1,3-diaminopropane) with thiocyanate and some other counterions were investigated by the X-ray diffraction method. In Cu(2)(HL-H)(NCS)(2)Cl(2).6H(2)O.CH(3)OH, 1 (a = 12.524(5) ?, b = 14.429(4) ?, c = 16.343(3) ?, alpha = 109.01(2) degrees, beta = 92.62(2) degrees, gamma = 115.27(3) degrees, Z = 2, triclinic, P&onemacr;), one chloride is not coordinated. Distorted square pyramidal (SP) geometry is found for both CuN(3)ClN and CuN(3)ON coordination sites in which the N(3) tripodal coordination sites come from the two symmetric halves of HL-H and the other nitrogen atoms come from thiocyanate ions. In Cu(2)(HL-H)(NCS)(2)(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O.2EtOH, 2 (a = 10.955(2) ?, b = 15.366(5) ?, c = 18.465(9) ?, alpha = 65.57(4) degrees, beta = 89.73(3) degrees, gamma = 79.81(2) degrees, Z = 2, triclinic, P&onemacr;), the coordination environments for the two copper ions are both CuN(3)ON. However, their geometries are different: one is distorted SP and the other is distorted trigonal bipyramid (TBP). In Cu(2)(HL-H)(NCS)(2)(ClO(4))(2)Cl.H(3)O.3.5H(2)O, 3 (a = 11.986(6) ?, b = 12.778(5) ?, c = 17.81(1) ?, alpha = 82.41(4) degrees, beta = 75.44(5) degrees, gamma = 78.46(4) degrees, Z = 2, triclinic, P&onemacr;), the chloride ion does not coordinate to copper ion, but it is hydrogen bonded to the hydroxy hydrogen. The coordination environments for the two copper ions are both CuN(3)ON with distorted SP geometries. In Cu(2)(HL-H)(NCS)Cl(3).6H(2)O, 4 (a = 12.026(5) ?, b = 14.369(6) ?, c = 16.430(6) ?, alpha = 111.64(3) degrees, beta = 90.51(4) degrees, gamma = 113.90(3) degrees, Z = 2, triclinic, P&onemacr;), one chloride does not coordinate. The coordination environments for the two copper ions are CuN(3)ON in severely distorted TBP geometry and CuN(3)Cl(2) in SP geometry. In Cu(2)(HL-H)(NCS)(3)OH.2H(2)O.3CH(3)OH.Et(2)O, 5 (a = 18.322(5) ?, b = 15.543(6) ?, c = 19.428(7) ?, beta = 102.78(3) degrees, Z = 4, monoclinic, P2(1)/c), the hydroxide ion does not coordinate. The coordination environments for the two copper ions are CuN(3)N(2) with a geometry inbetween SP and TBP but slightly closer to SP and CuN(3)ON in distorted SP geometry. The distances between the copper ions are in the range 4.45-7.99 ?, indicating negligible interaction between the copper ions. The hydroxy groups of HL-H in 1-5all coordinate to copper ions either in a terminal mode (in complexes 1, 4, and 5, denoted as OHR(t)) or in a bridging mode (in complexes 2 and 3, denoted as OHR(b)). These hydroxy groups do not lose their protons in all cases. All thiocyanate anions coordinate to copper ions through nitrogen atoms. All copper ions in 1-5 are pentacoordinated. The fact that the CuN(3) geometries of the tripodal coordination sites in HL-H do not allow the formation of a square planar complex, may be the driving force for the formation of pentacoordinated complexes. From the structurally known dicopper complexes of the HL-H type ligands, the relative coordinating abilities of ligands to CuN(3) are OHR(t) > NCS(-) > Cl(-)(t) > OHR(b) approximately Cl(-)(b), where the letters b and t in parentheses denote bridging and terminal coordination modes respectively.  相似文献

A new binuclear Cu(Ⅱ) complex with nitronyl nitroxide radicals [Cu(NIT3Py)2Cl2]2(NIT3Py = 2-(3'-pyridinyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide) has been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis.It crystallizes in monoclinic,space group C2/c with a = 38.483(4),b = 7.2450(8),c = 27.559(3) ,β = 134.0180(10)°,V = 5525.6(10) 3,C48H64Cl4Cu2N12O8,Mr = 1206.00,Z = 4,Dc = 1.450 g/cm3,μ(MoKα) = 1.025 mm-1,F(000) = 2504,S = 1.066,the final R = 0.0471 and wR = 0.1121 for 3286 observed reflections(I > 2σ(I)).The title complex consists of centrosymmetric dinuclear units [Cu(NIT3Py)2Cl2]2,in which the copper ions are square-pyramidally coordinated by two pyridyl nitrogen atoms of two radical ligands and three chlorine anions,two of which bridge the copper ions.The magnetic measurements show ferromagnetic interactions between the copper ions and the radical ligands.  相似文献

A novel sandwich-type polyoxometalate incorporating a unique hybrid hexanuclear copper cluster, [Cu(enMe)2]2{[Cu(enMe)2(H2O)]2[Cu6(enMe)2(B-a-SiW9O34)2]}.4H2O (1, enMe=1,2-diaminopropane), has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by the elemental analyses, IR spectroscopy, TG analysis, magnetic properties, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Crystal data for 1: triclinic, P; a=12.5105(2), b=14.3710(2), c=17.2687(2) A; alpha=98.834(1), beta=110.744(1), gamma=104.711(1) degrees; V=2704.57(7) A3; rho=3.646 g/cm3; Z=1. X-ray crystallographic study shows that the molecular structure of 1 contains 10 copper ions: Six of them form an unprecedented inorganic-organic hybrid Cu6 cluster via edge-sharing combination of two CuO6 octahedra, two CuO5, and two CuO3N2 square pyramids and are encapsulated between two {B-a-SiW9O34} units. Two of them form two [Cu(enMe)2(H2O)]2+ complexes and further attach to the two {B-a-SiW9O34} units via two Cu-O=W bridges, acting as a decorated role. The remaining two form isolated [Cu(enMe)2]2+ complexes playing roles of charge-compensation and space-fillers. Magnetization measurement reveals that the hexanuclear copper cluster exhibits overall ferromagnetic interactions.  相似文献

Reaction of 1-propylamino-4-acetato-1,4,7-triazacyclononane (L1), 1-benzyl-4-acetato-1,4,7-triazacyclononane (L2) and 1-benzyl-4-propylamino-1,4,7-triazacyclononane (L3) with a copper(II) salt gave Na2[CuL1](ClO4)3(1a), [CuL2]Cl (2) and [Cu2L32](ClO4)4.5H2O (3), respectively. [CuL4]ClO4 (4) was formed by reacting 1-formyl-4-ethylacetato-1,4,7-triazacyclononane with cupric chloride in aqueous solution. The X-ray crystal structures of the complexes reveal that the ligands generate distorted square pyramidal or square planar coordination environments about the Cu(II) centre, but in three complexes (1b, 3 and 4) weak interactions to an oxygen atom from a perchlorate anion and, in the case of 4, also to an amide nitrogen leading to tetragonally elongated octahedral Cu(II) geometries. In 4, the formyl group is found to reduce the coordinating ability of the macrocyclic nitrogen to which it is attached, as evidenced by the weak CuN interaction. The formation of five-membered chelate rings on coordination of the ligands further contributes to the distortion from the ideal geometries. The crystal lattices contain a number of novel supramolecular features. 1a contains a negatively charged sodium perchlorate chain of composition [Na2(ClO4)3]x(x-), with a complex series of Na-O-Na bridges flanked by [CuL1]+ units, while 3 contains highly complex hydrogen bonded sheets approximately 20 A thick that stack through van der Waals interactions. One-dimensional chains comprised of copper complexes are found in 2 and 4, and are held together by hydrogen bonds in 2 and acetate bridges between the copper cations in 4. The solution EPR spectra indicate that the copper(II) centres exist in isolated distorted square pyramidal (possibly square planar for 4) environments, while in the solid state there is evidence for the existence of weak exchange and dipole-dipole coupling for some complexes.  相似文献
