The main object of this paper is to construct a systematic investigation of a multivariable extension of the extended Jacobi polynomials and give some relations for these polynomials. We derive various families of multilinear and multilateral generating functions. We also obtain relations between the polynomials extended Jacobi polynomials and some other well-known polynomials. Other miscellaneous properties of these general families of multivariable polynomials are also discussed. Furthermore, some special cases of the results are presented in this study.  相似文献

Recently, Srivastava et al. introduced a new generalization of the Bernoulli, Euler and Genocchi polynomials (see [H.M. Srivastava, M. Garg, S. Choudhary, Russian J. Math. Phys. 17 (2010) 251-261] and [H.M. Srivastava, M. Garg, S. Choudhary, Taiwanese J. Math. 15 (2011) 283-305]). They established several interesting properties of these general polynomials, the generalized Hurwitz-Lerch zeta functions and also in series involving the familiar Gaussian hypergeometric function. By the same motivation of Srivastava’s et al. [11] and [12], we introduce and derive multiplication formula and some identities related to the generalized Bernoulli type polynomials of higher order associated with positive real parameters a, b and c. We also establish multiple alternating sums in terms of these polynomials. Moreover, by differentiating the generating function of these polynomials, we give a interpolation function of these polynomials.  相似文献

Almost four decades ago, H.M. Srivastava considered a general family of univariate polynomials, the Srivastava polynomials, and initiated a systematic investigation for this family [10]. In 2001, B. González, J. Matera and H.M. Srivastava extended the Srivastava polynomials by inserting one more parameter [4]. In this study we obtain a family of linear generating functions for these extended polynomials. Some illustrative results including Jacobi, Laguerre and Bessel polynomials are also presented. Furthermore, mixed multilateral and multilinear generating functions are derived for these polynomials.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

In this article, we first give some basic properties of generalized Hermite polynomials associated with parabolic cylinder functions. We next use Weisner? group theoretic method and operational rules method to establish new generating functions for these generalized Hermite polynomials. The operational methods we use allow us to obtain unilateral, bilinear and bilateral generating functions by using the same procedure. Applications of generating functions obtained by Weisner? group theoretic method are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a multivariable extension of the Humbert polynomials, which is motivated by the Chan-Chyan-Srivastava multivariable polynomials, the multivariable extension of the familiar Lagrange-Hermite polynomials and Erkus-Srivastava multivariable polynomials. We derive various families of multilinear and mixed multilateral generating functions for these polynomials. Other miscellaneous properties of these multivariable polynomials are also discussed. Some special cases of the results presented in this study are also indicated.  相似文献

In this paper, we give new families of polynomials orthogonal with respect to a d-dimensional vector of linear functionals, d being a positive integer number, and generalizing the standard symmetric classical polynomials: Hermite and Gegenbauer. We state the inversion formula which is used to express the corresponding moments by means of integral representations involving the Meijer G-function. Moreover, we determine some characteristic properties for these polynomials: generating functions, explicit representations and component sets.  相似文献

In the present paper, we utilize the general q-exponential operators to derive several Carlitz type bivariate generating functions for Rogers-Szegö polynomials. Moreover, we give an equivalent expansion formula of a certain bivariate generating functions for Rogers-Szegö polynomials and propose an open problem.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to introduce and investigate some of the primary generalizations and unifications of the Peters polynomials and numbers by means of convenient generating functions and p‐adic integrals method. Various fundamental properties of these polynomials and numbers involving some explicit series and integral representations in terms of the generalized Stirling numbers, generalized harmonic sums, and some well‐known special numbers and polynomials are presented. By using p‐adic integrals, we construct generating functions for Peters type polynomials and numbers (Apostol‐type Peters numbers and polynomials). By using these functions with their partial derivative eqautions and functional equations, we derive many properties, relations, explicit formulas, and identities including the Apostol‐Bernoulli polynomials, the Apostol‐Euler polynomials, the Boole polynomials, the Bernoulli polynomials, and numbers of the second kind, generalized harmonic sums. A brief revealing and historical information for the Peters type polynomials are given. Some of the formulas given in this article are given critiques and comments between previously well‐known formulas. Finally, two open problems for interpolation functions for Apostol‐type Peters numbers and polynomials are revealed.  相似文献

We construct the sequence of orthogonal polynomials with respect to an inner product which is defined by q-integrals over a collection of intervals in the complex plane. We prove that they are connected with little q-Jacobi polynomials. For such polynomials we discuss a few representations, a recurrence relation, a difference equation, a Rodrigues-type formula and a generating function. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification Primary—33D45, 42C05  相似文献

Recently, Srivastava, Özarslan and Kaanoglu have introduced certain families of three and two variable polynomials, which include Lagrange and Lagrange-Hermite polynomials, and obtained families of two-sided linear generating functions between these families [H.M. Srivastava, M.A. Özarslan, C. Kaanoglu, Some families of generating functions for a certain class of three-variable polynomials, Integr. Transform. Spec. Funct. iFirst (2010) 1-12]. The main object of this investigation is to obtain new two-sided linear generating functions between these families by applying certain hypergeometric transformations. Furthermore, more general families of bilinear, bilateral, multilateral finite series relationships and generating functions are presented for them.  相似文献

Graph polynomials are graph parameters invariant under graph isomorphisms which take values in a polynomial ring with a fixed finite number of indeterminates. We study graph polynomials from a model theoretic point of view. In this paper we distinguish between the graph theoretic (semantic) and the algebraic (syntactic) meaning of graph polynomials. Graph polynomials appear in the literature either as generating functions, as generalized chromatic polynomials, or as polynomials derived via determinants of adjacency or Laplacian matrices. We show that these forms are mutually incomparable, and propose a unified framework based on definability in Second Order Logic. We show that this comprises virtually all examples of graph polynomials with a fixed finite set of indeterminates. Finally we show that the location of zeros and stability of graph polynomials is not a semantic property. The paper emphasizes a model theoretic view. It gives a unified exposition of classical results in algebraic combinatorics together with new and some of our previously obtained results scattered in the graph theoretic literature.  相似文献

We extend some results about shifted Schur functions to the general context of shifted Macdonald polynomials. We strengthen some theorems of F. Knop and S. Sahi and give two explicit formulas for these polynomials: a q-integral representation and a combinatorial formula. Our main tool is a q-integral representation for ordinary Macdonald polynomial. We also discuss duality for shifted Macdonald polynomials and Jack degeneration of these polynomials.  相似文献

We use generating functions over group rings to count polynomials over finite fields with the first few coefficients and a factorization pattern prescribed. In particular, we obtain different exact formulas for the number of monic n-smooth polynomials of degree m over a finite field, as well as the number of monic n-smooth polynomials of degree m with the prescribed trace coefficient.  相似文献

In this article, we find elements of the Lucas polynomials by using two matrices. We extend the study to the n-step Lucas polynomials. Then the Lucas polynomials and their relationship are generalized in the paper. Furthermore, we give relationships between the Fibonacci polynomials and the Lucas polynomials.  相似文献

We survey a family of polynomials that are very useful in all kinds of power series manipulations, and appearing more frequently in the literature. Applications to formal power series, generating functions and asymptotic expansions are described, and we discuss the related work of De Moivre, Arbogast and Bell.  相似文献

Main purpose of this paper is to reconstruct generating function of the Bernstein type polynomials. Some properties of this generating functions are given. By applying this generating function, not only derivative of these polynomials but also recurrence relations of these polynomials are found. Interpolation function of these polynomials is also constructed by Mellin transformation. This function interpolates these polynomials at negative integers which are given explicitly. Moreover, relations between these polynomials, the Stirling numbers of the second kind and Bernoulli polynomials of higher order are given. Furthermore some remarks associated with the Bezier curves are given.  相似文献

Bilateral generating functions are those involving products of different types of polynomials. We show that operational methods offer a powerful tool to derive these families of generating functions. We study cases relevant to products of Hermite polynomials with Laguerre, Legendre and other polynomials. We also propose further extensions of the method which we develop here.  相似文献

Several authors have examined connections between restricted permutations and Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind. In this paper we prove analogues of these results for colored permutations. First we define a distinguished set of length two and length three patterns, which contains only 312 when just one color is used. Then we give a recursive procedure for computing the generating function for the colored permutations which avoid this distinguished set and any set of additional patterns, which we use to find a new set of signed permutations counted by the Catalan numbers and a new set of signed permutations counted by the large Schröder numbers. We go on to use this result to compute the generating functions for colored permutations which avoid our distinguished set and any layered permutation with three or fewer layers. We express these generating functions in terms of Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind and we show that they are special cases of generating functions for involutions which avoid 3412 and a layered permutation.  相似文献
