In accelerator RF cavities, there exists not only the fundamental mode which is used to accelerate the beam, but also higher order modes(HOMs). The higher order modes excited by the beam can seriously affect beam quality, especially for the higher R/Q modes. 1.3 GHz low-loss 9-cell superconducting cavity as a candidate for ILC high gradient cavity, the properties of higher order mode has not been studied carefully. IHEP based on existing low loss cavity, designed and developed a large grain size 1.3 GHz low-loss 9-cell superconducting cavity(IHEP02cavity). The higher order mode coupler of IHEP02 used TESLA coupler's design. As a result of the limitation of the mechanical design, the distance between higher order mode coupler and end cell is larger than TESLA cavity.This paper reports on measured results of higher order modes in the IHEP02 1.3 GHz low-loss 9-cell superconducting cavity. Using different methods, Q e of the dangerous modes passbands have been obtained. The results are compared with TESLA cavity results. R/Q of the first three passbands have also been obtained by simulation and compared with the results of the TESLA cavity.  相似文献

驻波谐振腔是基于直线加速器的束流注入器的基本构造元件,其大功率微波馈入一般选用矩形波导耦合器,但它会引起场不对称和谐振频率的漂移,也难以针对不同流强的束流灵活调节耦合度。建立了带有调配杆的耦合器的等效电路模型,在理论分析的基础上,给出了杆的最佳位置。此外,在耦合器的对称方向插入调谐杆用于补偿结构改变及加工安装等外部因素造成的频率漂移,并使用 CST MICROWAVE STUDIO 的三维电磁仿真给出了两个杆的尺寸和调整范围。联合调整的仿真结果表明,在谐振频率保持稳定的情况下,不同流强的束流均达到临界耦合状态,从而避免了耦合器失配引起的反射功率风险,并减少了由于较小耦合孔引起的场不对称。  相似文献

Coaxial High Order Mode (HOM) couplers have been fabricated at Peking University and their RF performance has been measured on a test device consisting of a coaxial transmission line and a 2-cell TESLA-shape copper cavity. The test results on the 2-cell TESLA-shape copper cavity with HOM couplers indicate that the coupler can cut off the fundamental mode TM010 and absorb HOMs effectively after a careful adjustment. The optimal angle of the HOM coupler with the beam tube is found. The initial test results of HOM couplers are presented in this paper.  相似文献

提出了一种基于级数展开的三维准矢量束传播法(SE-QV-BPM)用以分析由InGaAs/InAlAs多量子阱构成的脊形光波导及定向耦合器.结果表明,刻蚀深度相同时,TM模比TE模在水平方向限制强,且TM模的模场在波导角上出现畸变;波导间距相同时,定向耦合器TM波的耦合长度大于TE波的耦合长度,对偏振态敏感.分析获得了浅/深刻脊形光波导承载的准矢量TE/TM基模、定向耦合器承载的TE/TM偶/奇模的模场分布及其有效折射率,模拟了光场在定向耦合器中的传输演变情况.另外,SE-QV-BPM导出矩阵小,计算效率高 关键词: 级数展开 准矢量束传播法 多量子阱 InGaAs/InAlAs  相似文献

A pick-up parallel-setting high order mode coupler(pps-HOM coupler)has been fabricated at Peking University.It has been tested on a coaxial transmission line and a 2-cell TESLA-shape copper cavity.The test result of the 2-cell TESLA cavity shows that the coupler can cut off the fundamental mode TM010 and absorb HOMs electively.As its RF properties are insensitive to the probe dip length,there is no need to adjust the probe repeatedly during practical operation.  相似文献

In this paper we will show a cavity and higher order mode(HOM) coupler designing scheme for the Circular Electron-Positron Collider(CEPC) main ring. The cavity radio frequency(RF) design parameters are shown in this paper. The HOM power is calculated based on the beam parameters in the Preliminary Conceptual Design Report(Pre-CDR). The damping results of the higher order modes(HOMs) and same order modes(SOMs) show that they reach the damping requirements for beam stability.  相似文献

外腔共振是提高和频效率的有效方法. 实现外腔共振高效和频需要基频光高效地耦合到外部谐振腔中, 因此系统要达到阻抗匹配. 本文分别建立了双波长和单波长外腔共振和频系统的理论模型, 分析了腔增强因子与耦合腔镜反射率、入射基频光功率等参数的依赖关系, 通过数值模拟获得最优化的共振光耦合腔镜反射率, 使系统达到阻抗匹配, 提高和频效率. 研究表明, 无论双波长还是单波长外腔共振和频系统, 共振基频光的最佳耦合腔镜反射率只会随着另一束共振或者不共振的基频光入射功率的增加而减小, 而其本身的入射功率变化则影响较小; 进一步分析表明, 若共振基频光的耦合腔镜反射率超过阻抗匹配值, 和频光功率将会迅速减小, 而小于阻抗匹配值时, 和频光功率减少速度相对较慢, 因此实验过程中要尽量避免过耦合的情况出现. 本文的理论分析过程将对外腔和频实验有一定的指导意义.  相似文献

设计了一种用于测量V波段过模高功率毫米波源在线功率的选模耦合器。利用小孔耦合理论和微元法对菱形耦合缝隙进行了理论分析,采用两组相同的菱形耦合缝隙实现选模功能,缩短了耦合器长度,增加了工作带宽。采用数值模拟的方法对耦合器结构进行优化设计,模拟结果表明:在60 GHz频点处,TM01模耦合度约为50 dB,TM02模耦合度仅为75 dB,对TM02模的抑制度为25 dB;在500 MHz带宽内对TM02模的抑制度大于15 dB,1 GHz带宽内的抑制度大于10 dB,可满足工作于TM01模的V波段高功率毫米波测试需求。同时针对工作于高次模TM0n(n=2,3,4,)的器件设计了可抑制TM01模的耦合器,为高次模工作的高功率毫米波器件的在线功率测量和模式诊断提供了技术方案。  相似文献

为了有效分析模式竞争,建立了回旋自谐振脉塞(CARM)多模束波互作用自洽非线性理论模型,并具体模拟研究了工作模式为TM51、频率为0.35 THz的高阶横磁模CARM中大轨道相对论电子束与多电磁模式的互作用过程。模拟结果表明:与回旋管不同,THz频段CARM可以有效工作于高阶TM模式,且具有较高的输出功率和增益;通过对工作参数的优化,可使工作模式的功率增长具有绝对优势,而竞争模式得到有效抑制;高阶TM模式THz频段CARM的性能对工作参数的变化十分敏感,在参数设计过程中必须对其进行多模束波互作用模拟分析。  相似文献

上海光源是能量为3.5 GeV的第三代先进中能同步辐射光源,其储存环上安装了三台超导高频腔补偿电子因同步辐射等原因丢失的能量。为保障上海光源的长期稳定高效运行,中国科学院上海应用物理研究所和上海市低温超导高频腔技术重点实验室共同研制了具备低高次模损失参数和可承受更高入射功率的新型500 MHz超导腔,作为上海光源在线运行超导高频腔的备用腔。超导铌腔经低温垂直测试达到所需加速性能后,需要与高功率输入耦合器、高次模吸收器、低温恒温器等集成并完成水平测试,获得超导腔模组的加速性能、低温性能和真空性能。介绍了超导腔备用腔的研制、集成和测试过程,采用文丘里(Venturi)校准法获得模组的静态功耗反应模组的低温性能,并通过高功率测试获得了超导腔备用腔模组的加速性能。测试结果表明:自主研制的500 MHz超导腔备用腔满足上海光源的工作需求,在超导腔的加速腔压为2.0 MV时,无载品质因数为1.2×109 @4.2 K,且低温模组的静态热损耗为36.1 W。  相似文献

提出了一种基于高次模式的谐振腔束团长度测量技术,新方法的谐振腔工作于高次本征模式TM0n0。这样的谐振腔拥有更大的腔体半径,从而移除了谐振腔半径必须大于束流管道半径这一原则带来的工作频率限制。为国家同步辐射实验室未来的正电子源设计了一台双腔束团长度监测器,讨论了谐振腔工作频率的选择并推导了束团长度的计算公式,监测器的谐振腔工作于TM020模式,其半径远大于使用TM010模式的传统方法,在CST软件中模拟的结果显示其束团长度测量精度好于7%。  相似文献

单谐振腔束团长度监测器利用谐振腔内的两个本征模式测量ps量级的电子束团长度,它的关键是如何将两个不同频率的模式互不干扰地耦合提取出来。为解决这个问题,基于低通和带通滤波器的理论,提出了同轴滤波耦合结构和膜片加载波导滤波结构,借助CST微波工作室对滤波器进行建模并仿真得到其S参数。为测试耦合器的应用效果,设计了一套带有该耦合结构的单谐振腔束团长度监测器探头,根据国家同步辐射实验室基于可调谐红外激光的能源化学研究大型实验装置FELiChEM的束流特点,在CST内对所设计的探头进行束流模拟仿真。仿真结果表明,该耦合器可以实现对特定模式的耦合,并有效降低其它模式的干扰,采用同轴滤波耦合结构和膜片加载波导滤波结构的谐振腔监测器可以实现对FELiChEM装置束团长度的高精度测量,测量误差小于2 %。  相似文献

A TTF-type coaxial higher order modes (HOM) coupler has been used in a TESLA 9 cell cavity. It is impossible to measure the stop band characteristics of the HOM coupler with the cavity. A measurement device for the coaxial transmission line type for the HOM coupler has been designed at Peking University. Experimentally it was shown that the average voltage standing wave ratio of the coaxial transmission line is smaller than 1.08. The experimental results of the stop band characteristics of the TTF-type HOM coupler have been fitted for the simulation. This paper describes the design of the measurement device and discusses the experimental and simulation results of stop band characteristics of the HOM coupler.  相似文献

旨在设计一支新型、耦合度可调、连续波型高功率输入耦合器,外部品质因数的调节范围为1.5×105~2×106,以适应先进光源技术研发与测试平台超导电子直线加速器束流试验装置不同束流模式下的需要。这是国内首次开展耦合度可调式连续波型高功率输入耦合器的研制。采用HFSS三维电磁仿真软件完成了耦合器的高频结构设计,对耦合器的微波传输、场分布进行了计算;同时采用CST微波工作室对不同内导体天线插入深度下耦合器的外部品质因数进行了仿真计算,结合650 MHz 2单元超导腔进行了耦合度调节实验,仿真计算与实验测试结果基本一致。  相似文献

A configuration for linear cavity Brillouin fiber laser (BFL) generation is demonstrated using a standard single-mode fiber, two optical circulators, a 3 dB coupler, and a 95/5 coupler to allow high efficiency. With a Brillouin pump (BP) power of 13 dBm, the laser peak power is 12.3 dB higher than a conventional linear cavity BFL at an upshifted wavelength of 0.086 nm from the BP wavelength. In addition, it is revealed that the BFL peak power can be higher than the transmitted BP peak power when the BP power exceeds the second Brillouin Stokes threshold power.  相似文献

 利用3维软件设计并模拟了适用于X波段高功率带状注速调管的“Ⅱ”形谐振腔,根据模拟结果分析了腔体各尺寸对电场均匀性的影响;建立了平面对称结构的3维高频互作用系统模拟平台,应用此平台讨论了扼流器法和漂移管窄壁开槽法这两种抑制漂移管中非工作模式的方法;分析了漂移管的尺寸及漂移头对谐振腔内场分布的影响。研究表明:波导高度、耦合腔宽度和高度对带状注速调管谐振腔间隙的电场均匀性影响较大;而波导长度和宽度、耦合腔长度对该电场均匀性影响不大;腔体连接处加上漂移头可使场分布更加集中;该型带状注速调管谐振腔能够产生均匀的电场,为提高注波互作用效率奠定了基础。  相似文献

The TRIUMF Injector CryoModule (ICM) adapted two superconducting single cavities as the capture section for the low injecting energy of 100 keV electrons. Coupler kick induced beam deflection and projected emittance growth are one of the prime concerns of the beam stability, especially at low energies. In low energy applications, the electron velocity changes rapidly inside the cavity, which makes the numerical analysis much more complicated. The commonly used theoretical formulas of the direct integral or the Panofsky- Wenzel theorem is not suitable for the kick calculation of β <1 electrons. Despite that, the above mentioned kick calculation method doesn't consider injecting electron energy, the beam offset due to the coupler kick may not be negligible because of the low injection energy even if the kick is optimized. Thus the beam dynamics code TRACK is used here for the simulation of the power coupler kick perturbation. The coupler kick can be compensated for by a judicious choice of the coupler position in successive cavities from upstream to downstream. The simulation shows that because of the adiabatic damping by the following superconducting 9-cell cavity, even for the worst orbit distortion case after two capture cavities, the kick is still acceptable at the exit of the ICM after reaching 10 MeV. This paper presents the analysis of the transverse kick and the projected emittance growth induced by the coupler for β <1 electrons. The simulated results of the TRIUMF ICM capture cavities are described and presented.  相似文献

It is shown that a nearly ideal two-dimensional focusing Gaussian beam can be synthesized by use of a linear combination of the two lowest-order even modes of an optical waveguide. This property can be used to couple laterally guided modes across slab waveguide regions with low loss. The technique is illustrated by use of a conventional multimode interference (MMI) geometry, in which the MMI coupler transforms the fundamental mode of an initial waveguide into a focusing Gaussian beam, which is then fed to a slab region. Two-dimensional beam propagation simulations show that the beam does not initially diverge in the slab region, but rather comes to a focus. A second MMI coupler then transforms the diverging beam back to the initial mode. A structure is designed that can couple the fundamental mode of a 9-microm-wide waveguide across an 88-microm-long slab region with only a 0.036-dB loss. This technique can be applied to improve the performance of small-angle waveguide crossings and integrated turning mirrors.  相似文献

High power conditioning of the input coupler for BEPCⅡ supercOnducting cavity has been performed.After room temperature conditioning,the RF power of 150 kW with continuous wave at standing wave mode passed through the coupler without any problem.Meanwhile,a series of methods have also been studied to improve the performance of the coupler during the beam operation.Up to now,the input coupler can feed a RF power up to 100 kW stably with high current of 250 mA at 2.5 GeV.  相似文献
