A rhodium(III)‐catalyzed carboxylic acid directed decarboxylative C H/C H cross‐coupling of carboxylic acids with thiophenes has been developed. With a slight adjustment of the reaction conditions based on the nature of the substrates, aryl carboxylic acids with a variety of substituents could serve as suitable coupling partners, and a broad variety of functional groups were tolerated. This method provides straightforward access to biaryl scaffolds with diverse substitution patterns, many of which have conventionally been synthesized through lengthy synthetic sequences. An illustrative example is the one‐step gram‐scale synthesis of a biologically active 3,5‐substituted 2‐arylthiophene by way of the current method.  相似文献

A coupling reaction of N‐phenoxyacetamides with N‐tosylhydrazones or diazoesters through RhIII‐catalyzed C H activation is reported. In this reaction, ortho‐alkenyl phenols were obtained in good yields and with excellent regio‐ and stereoselectivity. Rh–carbene migratory insertion is proposed as the key step in the reaction mechanism.  相似文献

Directed Cp*RhIII‐catalyzed carbon–hydrogen (C H) bond functionalizations have evolved as a powerful strategy for the construction of heterocycles. Despite their high value, the development of related asymmetric reactions is largely lagging behind due to a limited availability of robust and tunable chiral cyclopentadienyl ligands. Rhodium complexes comprising a chiral Cp ligand with an atropchiral biaryl backbone enables an asymmetric synthesis of isoindolones from arylhydroxamates and weakly alkyl donor/acceptor diazo derivatives as one‐carbon component under mild conditions. The complex guides the substrates with a high double facial selectivity yielding the chiral isoindolones in good yields and excellent enantioselectivities.  相似文献

Reported herein is the first example of a transition‐metal‐catalyzed internal oxidative C H/C H cross‐coupling between two (hetero)arenes through a traceless oxidation directing strategy. Without the requirement of an external metal oxidant, a wide range of phenols, including phenol‐containing natural products, can undergo the coupling with azoles to assemble a large library of highly functionalized 2‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)azoles. The route provides an opportunity to rapidly screen white‐light‐emitting materials. As illustrative examples, two bis(triphenylamine)‐bearing 2‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)oxazoles, which are difficult to access otherwise, exhibit bright white‐light emission, high quantum yield, and thermal stability. Also presented is the first example of the white‐light emission, in a single excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer system, of 2‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)azoles, thus highlighting the charm of C H activation in the discovery of new organic optoelectronic materials.  相似文献

We report CH/π hydrogen‐bond‐driven self‐assembly in π‐conjugated skeletons based on oligophenylenevinylenes (OPVs) and trace the origin of interactions at the molecular level by using single‐crystal structures. OPVs were designed with appropriate pendants in the aromatic core and varied by hydrocarbon or fluorocarbon tails along the molecular axis. The roles of aromatic π‐stack, van der Waals forces, fluorophobic effect and CH/π interactions were investigated on the theromotropic liquid crystallinity of OPV molecules. Single‐crystal structures of hydrocarbon OPVs provided direct evidence for the existence of CH/π interactions between the π‐ring (H‐bond acceptor) and alkyl C? H (H‐bond donor). The four important crystallographic parameters, dc?x=3.79 Å, θ=21.49°, φ=150.25° and dHp?x=0.73 Å, matched in accordance with typical CH/π interactions. The CH/π interactions facilitate the close‐packing of mesogens in xy planes, which were further protruded along the c axis producing a lamellar structure. In the absence of CH/π interactions, van der Waals interactions drove the assembly towards a Schlieren nematic texture. Fluorocarbon OPVs exhibited smectic liquid‐crystalline textures that further underwent Smectic A (SmA) to Smectic C (SmC) phase transitions with shrinkage up to 11 %. The orientation and translational ordering of mesogens in the liquid‐crystalline (LC) phases induced H‐ and J‐type molecular arrangements in fluorocarbon and hydrocarbon OPVs, respectively. Upon photoexcitation, the H‐ and J‐type molecular arrangements were found to emit a blue or yellowish/green colour. Time‐resolved fluorescence decay measurements confirmed longer lifetimes for H‐type smectic OPVs relative to that of loosely packed one‐dimensional nematic hydrocarbon‐tailed OPVs.  相似文献

Diaryliodonium salts play an increasingly important role as an aryl source. Reported is the first synthesis of diaryliodoniums by rhodium(III)‐catalyzed C H hyperiodination of electron‐poor arenes under chelation assistance. This C I coupling reaction occurred at room temperature with high regio‐selectivity and functional‐group compatibility. Subsequent diversified nucleophilic functionalization of a diaryliodonium allowed facile construction of C C, C N, C O, C S, C P and C Br bonds, and in all cases the initial functionalization occurred at the arene containing the chelating‐group.  相似文献

Chiral cyclopentadienyl rhodium complexes promote highly enantioselective enol‐directed C(sp2)‐H functionalization and oxidative annulation with alkynes to give spiroindenes containing all‐carbon quaternary stereocenters. High selectivity between two possible directing groups, as well as control of the direction of rotation in the isomerization of an O‐bound rhodium enolate into the C‐bound isomer, appear to be critical for high enantiomeric excesses.  相似文献

Disclosed herein is a RhIII‐catalyzed chelation‐assisted activation of unreactive C H bonds, thus enabling an intermolecular amidation to provide a practical and step‐economic route to 2‐(pyridin‐2‐yl)ethanamine derivatives. Substrates with other N‐donor groups are also compatible with the amidation. This protocol proceeds at room temperature, has a relatively broad functional‐group tolerance and high selectivity, and demonstrates the potential of rhodium(III) in the promotive functionalization of unreactive C H bonds. A rhodacycle having a SbF6 counterion was identified as a plausible intermediate.  相似文献

A copper‐based catalytic technique for the regioselective ortho C H cyanation of vinylarenes has been developed. This method provides an effective means for the selective functionalization of vinylarene derivatives. A copper‐catalyzed cyanative dearomatization mechanism is proposed to account for the regiochemical course of this reaction.  相似文献
