根据光纤中磁光效应与非线性效应的微扰理论,推导了磁光光纤中光脉冲的非线性耦合模方程,比较了修正的分步傅里叶算法中磁光效应的时域和频域处理方案,表明了在步长足够小的情况下,两种方案的结果一致.分析了磁光效应、光纤非线性以及色散对光脉冲传输特性的影响,通过改变磁光耦合强度,不但可以灵活控制脉冲形状,还可以改变非线性引起的频率啁啾大小,有助于实现基于光脉冲展宽的动态整形功能.本文给出的理论分析方法,有助于开发可用于光纤通信、光纤传感等领域的基于非线性磁光光纤的新型磁光信息处理器件.  相似文献

本文指出非零的周期平均热声效应在本质上是非线性的,应保留到二阶精度。在小振幅条件下,利用摄动方法,以无限大平板流道为例,建立了二阶精度的弱非线性热声理论模型,并在不同条件下对模型做了进一步简化。这一理论为理解热声系统的工作机制以及设计优化热声系统提供了强有力的理论工具。  相似文献

A periodic structure in the form of two coupled magnonic crystals in which the coupling allows effective control of nonlinear effects during propagation of magnetostatic waves is examined. The main specific features of the nonlinear effects are revealed in comparison with the periodic structure in the form of one magnonic crystal. We consider the problem of the influence of nonlinear effects on the results of measuring the ratio of ultrasound absorption by using a resonator cavity. The relative amplitudes and the frequency response function of a nonlinear ultrasonic cavity with plane piezoelectric converters were calculated. The ranges of operating frequencies, at which the influence of nonlinear effects is significant, are determined. It is shown that in the case of nonlinear oscillations, the relaxation time of the fundamental harmonic is significantly shorter than that for the linear regime, which leads to overestimation of the measured ultrasound absorption rate.  相似文献

The nonlinear effects of large amplitude ion acoustic wave are studied theoretically and experimentally, so as to obtain the amplitude threshold for producing the nonlinear effects, the half width of the trapped region and the transitional region width caused by collisions. Nonlinear effects associated with intense sound fields in fluids are considered theoretically. Special attention is directed to the study of higher effects that cannot be described within the standard propagation models of nonlinear acoustics (the KZK and Burgers equations). The analysis is based on the fundamental equations of motion for a thermoviscous fluid, for which thermal equations of state exist. Model equations are derived and used to analyze nonlinear sources for generation of flow and heat, and other changes in the ambient state of the fluid. Fluctuations in the coefficients of viscosity and thermal conductivity caused by the sound field, are accounted for. Also considered are nonlinear effects induced in the fluid by flexural vibrations. The intensity and absorption of finite amplitude sound waves are calculated, and related to the sources for generation of higher order effects.  相似文献

The basic model employed to describe nonlinear upper hybrid wave structures is the generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation including second and fourth order dispersive effects as well as local and nonlocal nonlinearity. For two kinds of such an equation the existence of two stable solitons with the same plasmon number but with different spatial scales and amplitudes is shown as two qualitatively different kinds of upper hybrid soliton bistability. An integral relation for an arbitrary nonlinear upper hybrid wave packet evolution is derived taking into account higher order dispersive effects. Necessary conditions for soliton formation from arbitrary wave packets and the impossibility of wave packet collapse are demonstrated taking into account higher order dispersive effects.  相似文献

With the increases of transmitted power and the escalating of transmission rate, the originally unobvious nonlinear effects in the optical fiber gradually affect the transmission quality adversely. So the nonlinear effects in the channels need to be perceived dynamically. In this paper, the nonlinear phase shift perceptual model is set up by analyzing the impacts on transmission quality caused by nonlinear effects and experimental simulation analysis. This model can comprehensively perceive the impairment done to the optical channels by nonlinear effects, the relationship of the nonlinear phase shift and the impacts on the transmission quality BER and the threshold of the nonlinear phase shift which could meet the quality requirements of optical communication is obtained after the simulation experiment for the model.  相似文献

在飞秒抽运一探测光谱技术中,空间分辨的探测光信号反映了在不同空间位置的材料的非线性效应。当抽运光强度增大时,探测光信号中会出现明显的高阶特别是五阶非线性效应。利用劈裂算子方法直接解决了一维非线性传播方程的问题。在数值模拟中,研究了在不同抽运强度和位置下的抽运一探测过程中的五阶非线性效应。在足够高的抽运场下,探测信号出现清晰的振荡,显示了三阶和五阶非线性效应之间的干涉。当空间位置离抽运场中心足够远时,五阶比三阶非线性效应的衰减快得多,对其物理机制和趋势进行了定性的讨论。  相似文献

The nonlinear effects of amplitude jitter and ghost pulse generation, which are present in strongly dispersion-managed optical communication systems can be suppressed by alternation of the phase of the bits. Major advances in the observation and theory of cosmic microwave background anisotropies have opened up a new era in cosmology. This has encouraged the hope that the fundamental parameters of cosmology will be determined to high accuracy in the near future. However, this optimism should not obscure the ongoing need for theoretical developments that go beyond the highly successful but simplified standard model. Such developments include improvements in observational modelling (e.g. foregrounds, non-Gaussian features), extensions and alternatives to the simplest inflationary paradigm (e.g. non-adiabatic effects, defects), and investigation of nonlinear effects. In addition to well known nonlinear effects such as the Rees–Sciama and Ostriker–Vishniac effects, further nonlinear effects have recently been identified. These include a Rees–Sciama-type tensor effect, time-delay effects of scalar and tensor lensing, nonlinear Thomson scattering effects and a nonlinear shear effect. Some of the nonlinear effects and their potential implications are discussed.  相似文献

Results of a series of experimental studies of nonlinear acoustic effects in a granular medium are presented. Different effects observed in the experiments simultaneously testify that the nonlinearity of granular media is governed by the weakest intergrain contacts. The behavior of the observed dependences suggests that the distribution function of contact forces strongly increases in the range of forces much smaller than the mean force value, which is inaccessible for conventional experimental measuring techniques. For shear waves in a granular medium, the effects of demodulation and second harmonic generation with conversion to longitudinal waves are studied. These effects are caused by the nonlinear dilatancy of the medium, i.e., by the nonlinear law of its volume variation in the shear stress field. With the use of shear waves of different polarizations, the anisotropy of the nonlinearity of the medium is demonstrated. The observation of the cross-modulation effect shows that the nonlinearity-induced modulation components of the probe wave are much more sensitive to weak nonstationary perturbations of the medium, as compared to the linearly propagating fundamental harmonic. The nonlinear effects under study offer promise for diagnostic applications in laboratory measurements and in seismic monitoring systems.  相似文献

We theoretically analyze a two-dimensional periodic structure consisting of period nonlinear split-ring resonators (SRRs) with varactor diode. The diode is loaded into the slit of the SRRs. Then, we demonstrate nonlinear phenomena of left-handed nonlinear SRRs. This paper introduces nonlinear SRRs based on left-handed (LH) media and simulates self-tuning mechanisms, bistable effects in the microwave frequency range. In addition, with the increase of input power, the nonlinear response of the SRRs becomes multi-valued, paving a way for creating bistable tunable metamaterials.  相似文献

Two nonlinear models are proposed to investigate the focused acoustic waves that the nonlinear effects will be important inside the liquid around the scatterer. Firstly, the one dimensional solutions for the widely used Westervelt equation with different coordinates are obtained based on the perturbation method with the second order nonlinear terms. Then, by introducing the small parameter (Mach number), a dimensionless formulation and asymptotic perturbation expansion via the compressible potential flow theory is applied. This model permits the decoupling between the velocity potential and enthalpy to second order, with the first potential solutions satisfying the linear wave equation (Helmholtz equation), whereas the second order solutions are associated with the linear non-homogeneous equation. Based on the model, the local nonlinear effects of focused acoustic waves on certain volume are studied in which the findings may have important implications for bubble cavitation/initiation via focused ultrasound called HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound). The calculated results show that for the domain encompassing less than ten times the radius away from the center of the scatterer, the non-linear effect exerts a significant influence on the focused high intensity acoustic wave. Moreover, at the comparatively higher frequencies, for the model of spherical wave, a lower Mach number may result in stronger nonlinear effects.  相似文献

Calculations, using the Maxwell equations, are presented of nonlinear effects on the carrier-envelope phase for pulse durations in the two-optical-cycle range for pulses propagating in sapphire. Initially, with increasing pulse intensity the carrier-envelope phase increases monotonically. However, at higher intensities there is a turnabout in the direction of the phase change and a large change in the phase that is caused by a warping of the envelope from strong nonlinear effects. The Kerr nonlinear response occurs on a time scale of approximately 1 fs and gives significantly different results from those obtained by assuming an instantaneous response.  相似文献

Numerical simulation is one of the most efficient methods of investigating and optimizing nonlinear effects. However, simulating complex processes considering numerous nonlinear effects with the use of classical optimization methods is very difficult. This work deals with the application of a multiobjective genetic algorithm for the optimization of lattices of synchrotron radiation sources. This algorithm allows one to efficiently optimize both the linear and complex strongly nonlinear lattices of accelerators to obtain the required facility parameters.  相似文献

A theoretical and experimental study is made into the combined manifestation of local and nonlocal optical responses in a cubic nonlinear isotropic medium such as an aggregated colloidal silver solution. The phenomenological treatment of polarization effects is performed for the general case with due regard for the frequency dispersion of both local and nonlocal nonlinearities and for the noncollinear propagation of pump and probe light waves. The inverse Faraday effect, the optical Kerr effect, and the self-rotation of the polarization ellipse in a fractal-disordered nonlinear medium are observed for the first time. The tensor components of the local and nonlocal cubic nonlinearities of colloidal silver solutions are measured for different degrees of aggregation. It is demonstrated that, as the size of silver aggregate increases, the nonlocal nonlinear response increases much more strongly than the local one. An inference is made that the mechanical motion of metal nanoparticles because of their dynamic interaction with the light wave field can contribute to the nonlinear polarization effects.  相似文献

The field energy and nonlinearity factor of the excited medium define the threshold of the geometry of a localized region in vacuum space.
