We study the unique solvability of the inverse problem of determining the righthand side of a parabolic equation whose leading coefficient depends on both the time and the spatial variable under an integral overdetermination condition with respect to time. A new method of the reproducing kernel Hilbert space is applied to a twodimensional parabolic inverse source problem with the final overdetermination. The exact and approximate solutions are both obtained in a reproducing kernel space. The approximate solution and its partial derivatives are proved to converge to the exact solution and its partial derivatives, respectively. A technique is proposed to improve some existing methods. Numerical results show that the method is of high precision, and confirm the robustness of our method for reconstructing source parameter.  相似文献

Three different implicit finite difference schemes for solving the two-dimensional parabolic inverse problem with temperature overspecification are considered. These schemes are developed for indentifying the control parameter which produces, at any given time, a desired temperature distribution at a given point in the spatial domain. The numerical methods discussed, are based on the second-order (5,1) Backward Time Centered Space (BTCS) implicit formula, and the second-order (5,5) Crank-Nicolson implicit finite difference formula and the fourth-order (9,9) implicit scheme. These finite difference schemes are unconditionally stable. The (9,9) implicit formula takes a huge amount of CPU time, but its fourth-order accuracy is significant. The results of a numerical experiment are presented, and the accuracy and central processor (CPU) times needed for each of the methods are discussed and compared. The implicit finite difference schemes use more central processor times than the explicit finite difference techniques, but they are stable for every diffusion number.  相似文献

As additional information we prescribe the traces of the tangential components of the electromagnetic field on the lateral surface of a cylindric domain. The qualitative properties of solutions of a Neumann problem for the singular parabolic equation ut = (u^m-1 ux)x (-1 〈 m ≤0) is studied in this paper. On the equation manifold of the 2nth-order scalar ordinary differential equation, n3,
we construct a contact two-form such that d0mod, if and only if Equation (1) admits a nondegenerate Lagrangian of order n. We show that the space of all nondegenerate Lagrangians for (1) is at most one-dimensional. The necessary and sufficient conditions for sixth-order and eighth-order scalar ordinary differential equation to admit a variational multiplier are found in terms of vanishing of a certain set of functions. The exact relationship between the Lie algebra of the classical infinitesimal contact symmetries of a variational Equation (1) and its the Lie subalgebra of infinitesimal divergence symmetries is established.  相似文献

We consider an optimal control problem with indefinite cost for an abstract model, which covers, in particular, parabolic systems in a general bounded domain. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the synthesis of the optimal control, which is given in terms of the Riccati operator arising from a nonstandard Riccati equation. The theory extends also a finite-dimensional frequency theorem to the infinite-dimensional setting. Applications include the heat equation with Dirichlet and Neumann controls, as well as the strongly damped Euler–Bernoulli and Kirchhoff equations with the control in various boundary conditions.  相似文献
