Half‐sandwich manganese methylenephosphonium complexes [Cp(CO)2Mn(η2‐R2P?C(H)Ph)]BF4 were obtained in high yield through a straightforward reaction sequence involving a classical Fischer‐type manganese complex and a secondary phosphine as key starting materials. The addition of various nucleophiles (Nu) to these species took place regioselectively at the double‐bonded carbon center of the coordinated methylenephosphonium ligand R2P+?C(H)Ph to produce the corresponding chiral phosphine complexes [Cp(CO)2Mn(κ1‐R2P? C(H)(Ph)Nu)], from which the phosphines were ultimately recovered as free entities upon simple irradiation with visible light. The synthetic potential of this umpolung approach is illustrated herein by the preparation of novel chiral pincer‐type phosphine–NHC–phosphine ligand architectures.  相似文献

Complexes of 4,10‐bis(phosphonomethyl)‐1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane‐1,7‐diacetic acid (trans‐H6do2a2p, H6 L ) with transition metal and lanthanide(III) ions were investigated. The stability constant values of the divalent and trivalent metal‐ion complexes are between the corresponding values of H4dota and H8dotp complexes, as a consequence of the ligand basicity. The solid‐state structures of the ligand and of nine lanthanide(III) complexes were determined by X‐ray diffraction. All the complexes are present as twisted‐square‐antiprismatic isomers and their structures can be divided into two series. The first one involves nona‐coordinated complexes of the large lanthanide(III) ions (Ce, Nd, Sm) with a coordinated water molecule. In the series of Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, Er, Yb, the complexes are octa‐coordinated only by the ligand donor atoms and their coordination cages are more irregular. The formation kinetics and the acid‐assisted dissociation of several LnIII–H6 L complexes were investigated at different temperatures and compared with analogous data for complexes of other dota‐like ligands. The [Ce( L )(H2O)]3? complex is the most kinetically inert among complexes of the investigated lanthanide(III) ions (Ce, Eu, Gd, Yb). Among mixed phosphonate–acetate dota analogues, kinetic inertness of the cerium(III) complexes is increased with a higher number of phosphonate arms in the ligand, whereas the opposite is true for europium(III) complexes. According to the 1H NMR spectroscopic pseudo‐contact shifts for the Ce–Eu and Tb–Yb series, the solution structures of the complexes reflect the structures of the [Ce(H L )(H2O)]2? and [Yb(H L )]2? anions, respectively, found in the solid state. However, these solution NMR spectroscopic studies showed that there is no unambiguous relation between 31P/1H lanthanide‐induced shift (LIS) values and coordination of water in the complexes; the values rather express a relative position of the central ions between the N4 and O4 planes.  相似文献

Controlling the reactivity of transition metals using secondary, σ‐accepting ligands is an active area of investigation that is impacting molecular catalysis. Herein we describe the phosphine gold complexes [(o‐Ph2P(C6H4)Acr)AuCl]+ ([ 3 ]+; Acr=9‐N‐methylacridinium) and [(o‐Ph2P(C6H4)Xan)AuCl]+ ([ 4 ]+; Xan=9‐xanthylium) where the electrophilic carbenium moiety is juxtaposed with the metal atom. While only weak interactions occur between the gold atom and the carbenium moiety of these complexes, the more Lewis acidic complex [ 4 ]+ readily reacts with chloride to afford a trivalent phosphine gold dichloride derivative ( 7 ) in which the metal atom is covalently bound to the former carbocationic center. This anion‐induced AuI/AuIII oxidation is accompanied by a conversion of the Lewis acidic carbocationic center in [ 4 ]+ into an X‐type ligand in 7 . We conclude that the carbenium moiety of this complex acts as a latent Z‐type ligand poised to increase the Lewis acidity of the gold center, a notion supported by the carbophilic reactivity of these complexes.  相似文献

Cationic, two‐coordinate triphenylphosphine–gold(I)–π complexes of the form [(PPh3)Au(π ligand)]+ SbF6? (π ligand=4‐methylstyrene, 1? SbF6), 2‐methyl‐2‐butene ( 3? SbF6), 3‐hexyne ( 6? SbF6), 1,3‐cyclohexadiene ( 7? SbF6), 3‐methyl‐1,2‐butadiene ( 8? SbF6), and 1,7‐diphenyl‐3,4‐heptadiene ( 10? SbF6) were generated in situ from reaction of [(PPh3)AuCl], AgSbF6, and π ligand at ?78 °C and were characterized by low‐temperature, multinuclear NMR spectroscopy without isolation. The π ligands of these complexes were both weakly bound and kinetically labile and underwent facile intermolecular exchange with free ligand (ΔG≈9 kcal mol?1 in the case of 6? SbF6) and competitive displacement by weak σ donors, such as trifluoromethane sulfonate. Triphenylphosphine–gold(I)–π complexes were thermally unstable and decomposed above ?20 °C to form the bis(triphenylphosphine) gold cation [(PPh3)2Au]+SbF6? ( 2? SbF6).  相似文献

Methoxide abstraction from gold acetylide complexes of the form (L)Au[η1‐C≡CC(OMe)ArAr′] (L=IPr, P(tBu)2(ortho‐biphenyl); Ar/Ar′=C6H4X where X=H, Cl, Me, OMe) with trimethylsilyl trifluoromethanesulfonate (TMSOTf) at ?78 °C resulted in the formation of the corresponding cationic gold diarylallenylidene complexes [(L)Au=C=C=CArAr′]+ OTf? in ≥85±5 % yield according to 1H NMR analysis. 13C NMR and IR spectroscopic analysis of these complexes established the arene‐dependent delocalization of positive charge on both the C1 and C3 allenylidene carbon atoms. The diphenylallenylidene complex [(IPr)Au=C=C=CPh2]+ OTf? reacted with heteroatom nucleophiles at the allenylidene C1 and/or C3 carbon atom.  相似文献

The synthesis, X‐ray crystal structures, electrochemical, and spectroscopic studies of a series of hexanuclear gold(I) μ3‐ferrocenylmethylphosphido complexes stabilized by bridging phosphine ligands, [Au6(P?P)n(Fc‐CH2‐P)2][PF6]2 (n=3, P?P=dppm (bis(diphenylphosphino)methane) ( 1 ), dppe (1,2‐bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane) ( 2 ), dppp (1,3‐bis(diphenylphosphino)propane) ( 3 ), Ph2PN(C3H7)‐PPh2 ( 4 ), Ph2PN(Ph‐CH3p)PPh2 ( 5 ), dppf (1,1′‐bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene) ( 6 ); n=2, P?P=dpepp (bis(2‐diphenylphosphinoethyl)phenylphosphine) ( 7 )), as platforms for multiple redox‐active ferrocenyl units, are reported. The investigation of the structural changes of the clusters has been probed by introducing different bridging phosphine ligands. This class of gold(I) μ3‐ferrocenylmethylphosphido complexes has been found to exhibit one reversible oxidation couple, suggestive of the absence of electronic communication between the ferrocene units through the Au6P2 cluster core, providing an understanding of the electronic properties of the hexanuclear AuI cluster linkage. The present complexes also serve as an ideal system for the design of multi‐electron reservoir and molecular battery systems.  相似文献

The reaction of [Au(C?C?n‐Bu)]n with [Pd(η3‐allyl)Cl(PPh3)] results in a ligand and alkynyl rearrangement, and leads to the heterometallic complex [Pd(η3‐allyl){Au(C?C?n‐Bu)2}]2 ( 3 ) with an unprecedented bridging bisalkynyl–gold ligand coordinated to palladium. This is a formal gold‐to‐gold transmetalation that occurs through reversible alkynyl transmetalations between gold and palladium.  相似文献

Ab initio MP2/aug′‐cc‐pVTZ calculations are used to investigate the binary complexes H2XP:HF, the ternary complexes H2XP:(FH)2, and the quaternary complexes H2XP:(FH)3, for X=CH3, OH, H, CCH, F, Cl, NC, and CN. Hydrogen‐bonded (HB) binary complexes are formed between all H2XP molecules and FH, but only H2FP, H2ClP, and H2(NC)P form pnicogen‐bonded (ZB) complexes with FH. Ternary complexes with (FH)2 are stabilized by F?H???P and F?H???F hydrogen bonds and F???P pnicogen bonds, except for H2(CH3)P:(FH)2 and H3P:(FH)2, which do not have pnicogen bonds. All quaternary complexes H2XP:(FH)3 are stabilized by both F?H???P and F?H???F hydrogen bonds and P???F pnicogen bonds. Thus, (FH)2 with two exceptions, and (FH)3 can bridge the σ‐hole and the lone pair at P in these complexes. The binding energies of H2XP:(FH)3 complexes are significantly greater than the binding energies of H2XP:(FH)2 complexes, and nonadditivities are synergistic in both series. Charge transfer occurs across all intermolecular bonds from the lone‐pair donor atom to an antibonding σ* orbital of the acceptor molecule, and stabilizes these complexes. Charge‐transfer energies across the pnicogen bond correlate with the intermolecular P?F distance, while charge‐transfer energies across F?H???P and F?H???F hydrogen bonds correlate with the distance between the lone‐pair donor atom and the hydrogen‐bonded H atom. In binary and quaternary complexes, charge transfer energies also correlate with the distance between the electron‐donor atom and the hydrogen‐bonded F atom. EOM‐CCSD spin‐spin coupling constants 2hJ(F–P) across F?H???P hydrogen bonds, and 1pJ(P–F) across pnicogen bonds in binary, ternary, and quaternary complexes exhibit strong correlations with the corresponding intermolecular distances. Hydrogen bonds are better transmitters of F–P coupling data than pnicogen bonds, despite the longer F???P distances in F?H???P hydrogen bonds compared to P???F pnicogen bonds. There is a correlation between the two bond coupling constants 2hJ(F–F) in the quaternary complexes and the corresponding intermolecular distances, but not in the ternary complexes, a reflection of the distorted geometries of the bridging dimers in ternary complexes.  相似文献

A series of organotin(IV) complexes with 2‐mercapto‐5‐methyl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazole (HL) of the type R3 Sn(L) (R = Me 1 ; Bu 2 ; Ph 3 ; PhCH2 4 ) and R2Sn(L)2 (R = CH3 5 ; Ph 6 ; PhCH2 7 ; Bu 8 ) have been synthesized. All complexes 1–8 were characterized by elemental analysis, IR,1H, 13 C, and 119Sn NMR spectra. Among these, complexes 1 , 3 , 4 , and 7 were also determined by X‐ray crystallography. The tin atoms of complexes 1 , 3 , and 4 are all penta‐coordinated and the geometries at tin atoms of complexes 3 and 4 are distorted trigonal–bipyramidal. Interestingly, complex 1 has formed a 1D polymeric chain through Sn and N intermolecular interactions. The tin atom of complex 7 is hexa‐coordinated and its geometry is distorted octahedral. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Unusual cleavage of P?C and C?H bonds of the P2N2 ligand, in heteroleptic [Ni(P2N2)(diphosphine)]2+ complexes under mild conditions, results in the formation of an iminium formyl nickelate featuring a C,P,P‐tridentate coordination mode. The structures of both the heteroleptic [Ni(P2N2)(diphosphine)]2+ complexes and the resulting iminium formyl nickelate have been characterized by NMR spectroscopy and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were employed to investigate the mechanism of the P?C/C?H bond cleavage, which involves C?H bond cleavage, hydride rotation, Ni?C/P?H bond formation, and P?C bond cleavage.  相似文献

Calculations have been performed at the MP2 and DFT levels for investigating the reasons for the difficulties in synthesizing bis(isocyanide)gold(I) halide complexes. Three‐coordinated gold(I) complexes of the type (R3P)2AuIX ( 1 ) can be synthesized, whereas the analogous isocyanide complexes (RNC)2AuIX ( 2 ) are not experimentally known. The molecular structures of (R3P)2AuIX (X = Cl, Br, and I) and (RNC)2AuIX with X = halide, cyanide, nitrite, methylthiolate, and thiocyanate are compared and structural differences are discussed. Calculations of molecular properties elucidate which factors determine the strength of the gold‐ligand interactions in (RNC)2AuIX. The linear bonding mode of RNC favors a T‐shaped geometry instead of the planar Y‐shaped trigonal structure of (R3P)2AuIX complexes that have been synthesized. An increased polarity of the Au–X bond in 2 leads to destabilization of the Y‐shaped structure. Chalcogen‐containing ligands or cyanide appear to be good X‐ligand candidates for synthesis of (RNC)2AuIX complexes.  相似文献

Hydride abstraction from the neutral gold cycloheptatrienyl complex [( P )Au(η1‐C7H7)] ( P =P(tBu)2(o‐biphenyl)) with triphenylcarbenium tetrafluoroborate at ?80 °C led to the isolation of the cationic gold cycloheptatrienylidene complex [( P )Au(η1‐C7H6)]+ BF4? in 52 % yield, which was characterized in solution and by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. This cycloheptatrienylidene complex represents the first example of a gold carbenoid complex that lacks conjugated heteroatom stabilization of the electron‐deficient C1 carbon atom. The cycloheptatrienylidene ligand of this complex is reactive; it can be reduced by mild hydride donors, and converted to tropone in the presence of pyridine N‐oxide.  相似文献

Five mono‐nuclear silver(I) complexes with the ligand 2,9‐dimethyl‐1,10‐phenanthroline, namely [Ag(DPEphos)(dmp)]BF4 ( 1 ), [Ag(DPEphos)(dmp)]CF3SO3 ( 2 ), [Ag(DPEphos)(dmp)]ClO4 ( 3 ), [Ag(DPEphos)(dmp)]NO3 ( 4 ), and [Ag(dppb)(dmp)]NO3 · CH3OH ( 5 ) {DPEphos = bis[2‐(diphenylphosphanyl)phenyl]ether, dppb = 1,2‐bis(diphenylphosphanyl)benzene, dmp = 2,9‐dimethyl‐1,10‐phenanthroline} were characterized by X‐ray diffraction, IR, 1H NMR, 31P NMR and fluorescence spectroscopy. Their terahertz (THz) time‐domain spectra were also studied. In these complexes the silver(I), which is coordinated by two kinds of chelating ligands, adopts four‐coordinate modes to generate mono‐nuclear structures. In complexes 1 , 3 – 5 , offset π ··· π weak interactions exist between the neighboring benzene rings. In the 31P NMR spectra, there exist splitting signals (dd), which can be attributed to the coupling of the 107,109Ag–31P. All the emission peaks of these complexes are attributed to ligand‐centered excited states.  相似文献

Rhodium PCcarbeneP complexes 1‐L {L=PPh3, PPh2(C6F5)} react with isothiocyanate, carbodiimide and disulphide to enable C?S, C?N and S?S bond cleavage. The cleaved molecules are sequestered by the metal center and the pincer alkylidene linkage, forming η2‐coordinated sulfide or imide centered pincer complexes. When a C?S or S?S bond is cleaved, the resulting complexes can bridge two rhodium centers through sulphur forming dimeric complexes and eliminating a monodentate phosphine ligand.  相似文献

RhIII and IrIII complexes based on the λ3‐P,N hybrid ligand 2‐(2′‐pyridyl)‐4,6‐diphenylphosphinine ( 1 ) react selectively at the P?C double bond to chiral coordination compounds of the type [( 1 H ? OH)Cp*MCl]Cl ( 2 , 3 ), which can be deprotonated with triethylamine to eliminate HCl. By using different bases, the pKa value of the P? OH group could be estimated. Whereas [( 1 H ? O)Cp*IrCl] ( 4 ) is formed quantitatively upon treatment with NEt3, the corresponding rhodium compound [( 1 H ? O)Cp*RhCl] ( 5 ) undergoes tautomerization upon formation of the λ5σ4‐phosphinine rhodium(III) complex [( 1? OH)Cp*RhCl] ( 6 ) as confirmed by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Blocking the acidic P? OH functionality in 3 by introducing a P? OCH3 substituent leads directly to the λ5σ4‐phosphinine iridium(III) complex ( 8 ) upon elimination of HCl. These new transformations in the coordination environment of RhIII and IrIII provide an easy and general access to new transition‐metal complexes containing λ5σ4‐phosphinine ligands.  相似文献

Tri(1‐cyclohepta‐2, 4, 6‐trienyl)phosphane, P(C7H7)3 ([P] when coordinated to a metal atom), was used to stabilize complexes of platinum(II) and palladium(II) with chelating dichalcogenolato ligands as [P]M(E∩E) [E = S, ∩ = CH2CH2, M = Pt ( 3a ); E = S, ∩ = 1, 2‐C6H4, M = Pt ( 5a ), Pd ( 6a ); E = S, ∩ = C(O)C(O), M = Pt ( 7a ), Pd ( 8a ); E = S, Se, ∩ = 1, 2‐C2(B10H10), M = Pt ( 9a, 9b ), Pd ( 10a, 10b ); E = S, ∩ = Fe2(CO)6, M = Pt ( 11a ), Pd ( 12a )]. Starting materials in all reactions were [P]MCl2 with M = Pt ( 1 ) and Pd ( 2 ). Attempts at the synthesis of [P]M(ER)2 with non‐chelating chalcogenolato ligands were not successful. All new complexes were characterized by multinuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy in solution (1H, 13C, 31P, 77Se and 195Pt NMR), and the molecular structures of 5a and 12a were determined by X‐ray analysis. Both in the solid state and in solution the ligand [P] is linked to the metal atom by the P‐M bond and by η2‐C=C coordination of the central C=C bond of one of the C7H7 rings. In solution, intramolecular exchange between coordinated and non‐coordinated C7H7 rings is observed, the exchange process being markedly faster in the case of M = Pd than for M = Pt.  相似文献

Reaction of aminoboranes H2B=NR2 (R=iPr or Cy) with the cationic Cp*IrIII phosphoramidate complex [IrCp*{κ2‐N,O‐Xyl(N)P(O)(OEt)2}][BArF4] generates the aminoborane complexes [IrCp*(H){κ1N‐η2‐HB‐Xyl(N)P(OBHNR2)(OEt)2}][BArF4] (R=iPr or Cy) in which coordination of a P=O bond with boron weakens the B=N multiple bond. For these complexes, solution‐ and solid‐state, as well as DFT computational techniques, have been employed to substantiate B?N bond rotation of the coordinated aminoborane.  相似文献

Typical salts are composed of positive and negative ions that appear alternatively, whereas decorated layered materials normally have ions anchored on the polygonal sites. In this way, the ions are spatially fixed and the system is stabilized on electrostatic grounds. Here we report on a unique boron‐lithium cluster, B7Li4?, which contains a disk‐like B7 core, being sandwiched by a Li3 ring and an isolated Li atom. All Li centers are stacked exactly on the B atoms from top or bottom, rather than being anchored on triangular B3 sites. The cluster shows dynamic fluxionality, whose Li3 ring rotates freely on the B7 disk even at below room temperature (200 K), akin to a subnanoscale propeller. The rotation barrier is only 0.37 kcal mol?1 at the single‐point CCSD(T) level. The sandwich shape facilitates intramolecular charge‐transfers, leading to a [Li3]+[B7]3?[Li]+ salt complex. The [Li3]+ layer has 2σ aromaticity, while [B7]3? core is robust with both π and σ sextets. Three‐fold π/σ aromaticity collectively stabilizes the system, as well as underlies its dynamic fluxionality. The interlayer bonding turns out to be strong, dominated by ionic interactions (of the order of 3–4 eV per Li3/Li unit). The work demonstrates a propeller at the subnanoscale, which is dynamically fluxional despite strong covalent and ionic bonding.  相似文献

Molecular squares are among the most common supramolecular architectures, but phospha‐organometallic complexes have not been used as building blocks for this type of structure. Herein we describe the formation of the molecular square [Au{Co(P2C2tBu2)2}]4 ( 1 ) by the self‐assembly of anionic 1,3‐diphosphacyclobutadiene cobalt complexes and gold(I) cations. The X‐ray crystallographic determination of the molecular structure of 1 is complemented by solid‐state 31P and 13C NMR investigations. High‐level DFT calculations confirm the assignment of the 31P and 13C NMR resonances.  相似文献
