The two-dimensional problem of a thermopiezoelectric material containing an elliptic inclusion or a hole subjected to a remote uniform heat flow is studied. Based on the extended Lekhnitskii formulation for thermopiezoelectricity, conformal mapping and Laurent series expansion, the explicit and closed-form solutions are obtained both inside and outside the inclusion (or hole). For a hole problem, the exact electric boundary conditions on the hole surface are used. The results show that the electroelastic fields inside the inclusion or the electric field inside the hole are linear functions of the coordinates. When the elliptic hole degenerates into a slit crack, the electroelastic fields and the intensity factors are obtained. The effect of the heat flow direction and the dielectric constant of air inside the crack on the thermal electroelastic fields are discussed. Comparison is made with two special cases of which the closed solutions exist and it is shown that our results are valid.  相似文献

A solution of the bending problem for a plate with an elliptical hole subjected to a point force (a singular solution) is obtained using the engineering theory of thin anisotropic plates and Lekhnitskiis complex potentials. The solution is constructed by conformal mapping of the exterior of the elliptical hole onto the exterior of a unit circle with evaluation of the Cauchy-type integrals over closed contours. Different versions of the boundary conditions on the holw contour are considered. In the limiting case where the ellipse becomes a slot, the solution describes the bending of a plate with a rectilinear crack or a rigid inclusion.Translated from Prikladnaya Mekhanika i Tekhnicheskaya Fizika, Vol. 46, No. 1, pp. 144–152, January–February, 2005.  相似文献

On the problem of crack system with an elliptic hole   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The problem of cracks with an elliptic hole in an infinite plane is investigated. By introducing the fictitious loads on the hole edge and using the Muskhelishvili method, the problem is reduced to solving a system of mixed-type integral equations in which some are Fredholm equations but others Cauchy-type singular ones. A numerical method is suggested and can be used for the treatment of other similar equations. The numerical results for some typical examples are given, showing that the method is really effective.  相似文献

The interaction between a screw dislocation and an elliptical hole with two asymmetrical cracks in a one-dimensional(1 D) hexagonal quasicrystal with piezoelectric effect is considered. A general formula of the generalized stress field, the field intensity factor, and the image force is derived, and the special cases are discussed. Several numerical examples are given to show the effects of the material properties and the dislocation position on the field intensity factors and the image forces.  相似文献

By using the complex variables function theory, a plane strain electro-elastic analysis was performed on a transversely isotropic piezoelectric material containing an elliptic elastic inclusion, which is subjected to a uniform stress field and a uniform electric displacement loads at infinity. Based on the present finite element results and some related theoretical solutions, an acceptable conjecture was found that the stress field is constant inside the elastic inclusion. The stress field solutions in the piezoelectric matrix and the elastic inclusion were obtained in the form of complex potentials based on the impermeable electric boundary conditions.  相似文献

The existing analytical solutions are extended to obtain the stress fields and the stress intensity factors (SIFs) of two unequal aligned cracks emanating from an elliptical hole in an infinite isotropic plane. A conformal mapping is proposed and combined with the complex variable method. Due to some difficulties in the calculation of the stress function, the mapping function is approximated and simplified via the applications of the series expansion. To validate the obtained solution, several examples are analyzed with the proposed method, the finite element method, etc. In addition, the effects of the lengths of the cracks and the ratio of the semi-axes of the elliptical hole (a/b) on the SIFs are studied. The results show that the present analytical solution is applicable to the SIFs for small cracks.  相似文献

Anti-plane interaction of a crack with a coated elliptical hole embedded in an infinite matrix under a remote uniform shear load is considered in this paper. Analytical treatment of the present problem is laborious due to the presence of material inhomogeneities and geometric discontinuities. Nevertheless, based on the technique of conformal mapping and the method of analytical continuation in conjunction with the alternating technique, general expressions for displacements and stresses in the coated layer and the matrix are derived explicitly in closed form. By applying the existing complex function solutions for a dislocation, the integral equations for a line crack are formulated and mode-III stress intensity factors are obtained numerically. Some numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effects of material inhomogeneity and geometric discontinuities on mode-III stress intensity factors.  相似文献

The Green’s functions have not been studied in open literatures for the bending problem of an anisotropic plate with an elliptic hole subjected to a normal concentrated force and a concentrated moment. In this paper, the problem is investigated and the Green’s functions are first obtained by using the complex potential approach. The techniques of conformal mapping transformation and analytic continuation are used to derive the closed-form complex stress functions. The Green’s functions obtained have some potential applications in the analysis of composite structures such as the modification of the displacement compatibility model for notched stiffened composite panels and the formulation of a new method for interlaminar stress analysis around holes of laminates.  相似文献

Summary Thermoelectroelastic problems for holes of various shapes embedded in an infinite matrix are considered in this paper. Based on Lekhnitskii's formalism, the technique of conformal mapping and the exact electric boundary conditions on the hole boundary, the thermoelectroelastic Green's function has been obtained analytically in terms of a complex potential. As an application of the proposed function, the problem of an infinite plate containing a crack and a hole is analysed. A system of singular integral equations for the unknown temperature discontinuity and the discontinuity of elastic displacement and electric potential (EDEP) defined on crack faces is developed and solved numerically. Numerical results for stress and electric displacement (SED) intensity factors of the crack-hole system are presented to illustrate the application of the proposed formulation. A general solution to a reinforced elliptic hole embedded in an infinite matrix subjected to a remote uniform load is provided in this paper. Investigations on the present elasticity problem are rather tedious due to the presence of material inhomogeneities and complex geometric configurations. Based on the technique of conformal mapping and the method of analytical continuation in conjunction with the alternating technique, the general expressions of the displacement and stresses in a reinforcement layer and the matrix are derived explicitly in a series form. Some numerical results are provided to investigate the effects of the material combinations and geometric configurations on the interfacial stresses. The results show that there exists an optimum design of a reinforcement layer such that both the magnitude of stress concentration and the interfacial stresses could be fairly reduced.  相似文献

The elastoplastic state of isotropic homogeneous cylindrical shells with elliptic holes and finite deflections under internal pressure is studied. Problems are formulated and numerically solved taking into account physical and geometrical nonlinearities. The distribution of stresses (displacements, strains) along the boundary of the hole and in the zone of their concentration is analyzed. The data obtained are compared with the numerical solutions of the physically nonlinear, geometrically nonlinear, and linear problems. The stress-strain state of cylindrical shells in the neighborhood of the elliptic hole is analyzed with allowance for nonlinear factors __________ Translated from Prikladnaya Mekhanika, Vol. 43, No. 5, pp. 46–54, May 2007.  相似文献

By using Stroh' complex formalism and Cauchy's integral method, the electro-elastic fundamental solutions of an infinite anisotropic piezoelectric solid containing an elliptic hole or a crack subjected to a line force and a line charge are presented in closed form. Particular attention is paid to analyzing the characteristics of the stress and electric displacement intensity factors. When a line force-charge acts on the crack surface, the real form expression of intensity factors is obtained. It is shown through a special example that the present work is correct. The stress-strain state of an anisotropic plate containing an elliptic hole and thin, absolutely rigid, curvilinear inclusions is studied. General integral representations of the solution of the problem are constructed that satisfy automatically the boundary conditions on the elliptic-hole contour and at infinity. The unknown density functions appearing in the potential representations of the solution are determined from the boundary conditions at the rigid inclusion contours. The problem is reduced to a system of singular integral equations which is solved by a numerical method. The effects of the material anisotropy, the degree of ellipticity of the elliptic hole, and the geometry of the rigid inclusions on the stress concentration in the plate are studied. The numerical results obtained are compared with existing analytical solutions. __________ Translated from Prikladnaya Mekhanika i Tekhnicheskaya Fizika, Vol. 48, No. 4, pp. 173–180, July–August, 2007.  相似文献
