The isobaric thermal expansivity against temperature and pressure for the system 1-hexanol + n-hexane was directly determined by means of a calorimetric method. From these data, the excess isobaric thermal expansivity is calculated at representative temperatures and pressures. The obtained results for this excess quantity are qualitatively discussed by applying well-known arguments often used for explaining the thermodynamic behavior of alcohol + alkane mixtures. In order to check the consistency of these data with those of literature, the derivative of excess molar volume against temperature and that of excess isobaric molar heat capacity against pressure are calculated and compared with those obtained from literature data. Very good coherence between both data sources is obtained.  相似文献

The (solid + liquid) phase equilibrium for eight {x diphenyl ether + (1  x) biphenyl} binary mixtures, including the eutectic mixture were studied by using a differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) technique. A good agreement was found between previous literature and experimental values here presented for the melting point and enthalpy of fusion of pure compounds. The well-known equations for Wilson and the non-random two-liquid (NRTL) were used to correlate experimental solid liquid phase equilibrium data. Moreover, the predictive mixture model UNIFAC has been employed to describe the phase diagram. With the aim to check this equipment to measure heat capacities in the quasi-isothermal Temperature-Modulated Differential Scanning Calorimetry method (TMDSC), four fluids of well-known heat capacity such as toluene, n-decane, cyclohexane and water were also studied in the liquid phase at temperatures ranging from (273.15 to 373.15) K. A good agreement with literature values was found for those fluids of pure diphenyl ether and biphenyl. Additionally, the specific isobaric heat capacities of diphenyl ether and biphenyl binary mixtures in the liquid phase up to T = 373.15 K were measured.  相似文献

Excess molar enthalpies and heat capacities of binary mixtures containing dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) + seven normal alkanols, namely methanol, ethanol, propan-1-ol, butan-1-ol, hexan-1-ol, octan-1-ol, and decan-1-ol, have been determined at 303.15 K and atmospheric pressure. With the exception of the DMSO-methanol system, which shows negative values, all mixtures show positive values of excess molar enthalpies over the whole range of mole fraction, increasing as the number of carbon atoms increases. Heat capacities of pure components have been determined in the range 288.15 < T (K) < 325.15. Molar heat capacities of the mixtures are always positive and decrease as the number of carbon atoms decreases. The results were fitted to the Redlich-Kister polynomial equation. Molecular interactions in the mixtures are interpreted on the basis of the results obtained.  相似文献

Total vapour pressures, measured at the temperature 313.15 K, are reported for the ternary mixture (N,N-dimethylacetamide + methanol + water), and for binary constituents (N,N-dimethylacetamide + methanol) and (N,N-dimethylacetamide + water). The present results are compared with previously obtained data for binary mixtures (amide + water) and (amide + methanol), where amide=N-methylformamide, N,N-dimethylformamide, N-methyl-acetamide, 2-pyrrolidinone and N-methylpyrrolidinone. Moreover, it was found that excess Gibbs free energy of mixing for binary mixtures varies roughly linearly with the molar volume of amide.  相似文献

Density, refractive index and speed of sound at T=298.15 K and atmospheric pressure have been measured over the entire composition range for (dimethyl carbonate (DMC) + methanol + ethanol) and (DMC + methanol + 1-propanol). Excess molar volumes, changes of refractive index on mixing and deviations in isentropic compressibility for the above systems have been calculated. The calculated quantities are further fitted to the Cibulka equation to estimate the ternary fitting parameters. Standard deviations from the regression lines are shown.  相似文献

The excess molar volume of (cyclohexanone + benzene, or toluene, or ethylbenzene, or styrene) were obtained from the densities measured by means of a vibrating-tube densimeter over the whole composition range at temperatures (293.15, 303.15, 313.15, 323.15, 333.15, 343.15, 353.15) K and atmospheric pressure. The excess molar volume provide the temperature dependence of in the temperature range of (293 to 353) K. The results were correlated using the fourth-order Redlich-Kister equation, with the maximum likelihood principle being applied for the determination of the adjustable parameters. It was found that the in the systems studied increase with rising temperature.  相似文献

Densities ρ of the ternary system (ethanol + chloroform + benzene) and binaries (ethanol + chloroform) and (chloroform + benzene), have been measured at six temperatures (288.15, 293.15, 298.15, 303.15, 308.15, 313.15) K and pressure 101.33 kPa with an Anton Paar DMA 5000 digital vibrating tube densimeter. Excess molar volumes VE were calculated from these densities data and fitted by the polynomial Redlich–Kister (for binary data) and Nagata and Tamura (for ternary data) equations. Radojkovi? et al. equation was used for the prediction of the VE of ternary data. The obtained results have been explained in terms of different effects between molecules of present species, taking into consideration influence of temperature on them.  相似文献

The vapour pressures of the binary systems 1,2-dichloroethane + cyclohexanone, chloroform + cyclopentanone and chloroform + cyclohexanone mixtures were measured at temperatures between 298.15 and 318.15 K. The vapour pressures vs. liquid phase composition data for three isotherms have been used to calculate the activity coefficients of the two components and the excess molar Gibbs energies, GE, for these mixtures, using Barker's method. Redlich–Kister, Wilson, NRTL and UNIQUAC equations, taking into account the vapour phase imperfection in terms of the 2-nd virial coefficient, have represented the GE values. No significant difference between GE values obtained with these equations has been observed. Our data on vapour–liquid equilibria (VLE) and excess properties of the studied systems are examined in terms of the DISQUAC and modified UNIFAC (Dortmund) predictive group contributions models.  相似文献

The densities and speeds of sound of (cyclohexane + nonane) were measured at four temperatures from 298.15 K to 328.15 K, and the respective values of excess volumes and adiabatic compressibility were calculated. Thereafter, the densities for the last system were measured at elevated pressures (0.1 to 40) MPa at four temperatures over the range 298.15 K to 328.15 K with a high-pressure apparatus. The high-pressure density data were fitted to the Tait equation and the isothermal compressibilities were calculated with a novel procedure with the aid of this equation. The low- and high-pressure values of calculated from the density data show that the deviations from ideal behaviour in the system decrease slightly as the temperature and pressure are raised. The data were fitted to the fourth-order Redlich-Kister equation, with the maximum likelihood principle being applied for the determination of the adjustable parameters.  相似文献

A high pressure flow-mixing isothermal calorimeter is used to determine the excess molar enthalpies of methylformate + (1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol, 2-butanol and 1-pentanol) at T = 298.15 K and p = (5.0, 10.0) MPa, and methylformate + 1-propanol at T = 333.15 K and p = 10.0 MPa. The Redlich-Kister equation is fit to the experimental results.  相似文献

Microcalorimetric measurements of excess enthalpies at the temperature T = 298.15 K are reported for the binary mixture, (x1C6H12 + x2C4H8O) and the two ternary mixtures {x1C6H12 + x2(C4H8O or C5H10O) + x3(C5H12O)}. Smooth representations of the results are presented and used to construct constant excess molar enthalpy contours on Roozeboom diagrams. It is shown that good estimates of the ternary enthalpies can be obtained from the Liebermann and Fried model, using only the physical properties of the components and their binary mixtures.  相似文献

Densities of the water + 3-(dimethylamino) propylamine (DMAPA) binary system were measured at atmospheric pressure over the whole range of compositions at temperatures from 283.15 to 353.15 K using Anton Paar digital vibrating glass tube densimeter. The density of this system has been found an increasing function of water composition and a decreasing function of temperature. Excess molar volumes have been correlated using Redlich-Kister equations. Sets of parameters have been determined from experimental data to obtain correlations in the measurement range uncertainty. Partial molar volumes on the whole concentration range have been determined using Redlich-Kister parameters.  相似文献

New sets of data for the solubility of CO2 in the amine solvent system of 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (1) + sulfolane (2) + water (3) were presented in this work. The measurements were done at temperatures of 313.2, 333.2, 353.2, and 373.2 K and CO2 partial pressures up to 193 kPa. The investigated compositions were as follows: (i) w1=16.5%w1=16.5%, w2=32.2%w2=32.2%; (ii) w1=8.2%w1=8.2%, w2=41.2%w2=41.2%; (iii) w1=22.3%w1=22.3%, w2=27.7%w2=27.7%; and (iv) w1=30.6%w1=30.6%, w2=19.4%w2=19.4%, where ww is the mass percent of the component. The present solubility data was correlated by a modified Kent–Eisenberg model. The model reasonably represents the present solubility data, not only over the considered conditions, but also for a wider range of temperatures, partial pressures, and compositions.  相似文献

In order to show the influence of temperature on the liquid-liquid equilibria (LLE) of {methanol (1) + benzene (2) + hexane (3)} ternary system, equilibrium data at T = (278.15, 283.15, and 293.15) K are reported. The effect of the temperature on liquid-liquid equilibrium is determined and discussed. Ternary system is available from the literature at T = 298 K. All chemicals were quantified by gas chromatography using a thermal conductivity detector. The solubility data for methanol + hexane and the upper critical temperature (UCST) at 308.3 K was reported. The tie line data for the ternary system were satisfactorily correlated by the Othmer and Tobias method, and the plait point coordinates for the three temperatures were estimated. Experimental data for the ternary system are compared with values calculated by the NRTL and UNIQUAC equations, and predicted by means of the UNIFAC group contribution method. It is found that the UNIQUAC and NRTL models provide similar good correlations of the equilibrium data at these three temperatures. Finally, the UNIFAC model predicts an immiscibility region larger than the experimental observed. Distribution coefficients were also analysed through distribution curves.  相似文献

Isobaric specific heat capacities were measured for (2-methyl-2-butanol + heptane) mixtures and cyclopentanol within the temperature range from (284 to 353) K, and for 2-methyl-2-butanol in the (284 to 368) K temperature interval by means of a differential scanning calorimeter. The excess molar heat capacities were calculated from the experimental results. For the temperature range from (284 to 287) K, the excess molar heat capacity is S-shaped with negative values in the 2-methyl-2-butanol rich region and with small negative values at low alcohol concentrations at temperatures from (295 to 353) K. The excess molar heat capacities are positive for all compositions under test at temperatures from (288 to 294) K. The results are explained in terms of the influence of the molecular size and configuration of the alkanols on their self-association capability and of the change in molecular structure of the (2-methyl-2-butanol + heptane) mixtures. The differences between the temperature dependences of the heat capacities of the mixtures studied are qualitatively consistent with results obtained by Rappon et al. [M. Rappon, J.M. Greer, J. Mol. Liq. 33 (1987) 227–244; M. Rappon, J.A. Kaukinen, J. Mol. Liq. 38 (1988) 107–133; M. Rappon, R.M. Johns, J. Mol. Liq. 40 (1989) 155–179; M. Rappon, R.T. Syvitski, K.M. Ghazalli, J. Mol. Tie-line data for ternary system of (water + 1-propanol + diisopropyl ether (DIPE)) were determined at T = (298.2, 308.2 and 313.2) K under atmospheric conditions. The ternary system exhibited type-I LLE behavior, as (DIPE + water) is the only liquid pair that is partially miscible. The experimental data for this system were predicted with the UNIFAC model with a root mean square deviation of 2.64%. The reliability of the experimental tie-line data was determined through the Othmer–Tobias and Hand plots. Distribution coefficients and separation factors were measured to evaluate the extracting capability of the solvents. The influence of temperature effect on the equilibrium characteristics and separation factor was found to be significant at the temperatures studied.  相似文献

(Solid + liquid) phase diagrams, SLE have been determined for (octan-1-ol, or nonan-1-ol, or decan-1-ol, or undecan-1-ol + benzonitrile) and for (hexylamine, or octylamine, or decylamine, or 1,3-diaminopropane + benzonitrile) using a cryometric dynamic method at atmospheric pressure. Simple eutectic systems with complete immiscibility in the solid phase and complete miscibility on the liquid phase have been observed. The solubility decreases with an increase of the number of carbon atoms in the alkan-1-ol, or amine chain. The temperature of the eutectic points increases and shifts to lower alkan-1-ol, or amine mole fractions as the alkyl chain length of the alkan-1-ol, or amine increases. The higher intermolecular interaction was observed for the (alkan-1-ol + benzonitrile) systems.  相似文献

Thermodynamics of single-phase complex systems of glucose + alcohol + water is significantly important in food and pharmaceutical industries. The water activity is a practical parameter in thermodynamic characterization in food and pharmaceutical and other biological industries, which its value has an important role in growing microorganisms and rate of reactions. In this work, the NRTL-NRF excess Gibbs function has extended for ternary system of water, different alcohols (as second molecular solvent) and a special molecular solute like a sugar. The extended NRTL-NRF model with three parameters was used for correlation of the osmotic coefficient of the aqueous systems of glucose and alcohol at different concentrations. The data of the osmotic coefficient of water for these systems are obtained by an isopiestic method. The adjustable parameters are calculated by optimization of the experimental data of the osmotic coefficient using the Nedler–Mead algorithm. It is shown that the results of the modified NRTL-NRF model demonstrate low deviation from the experimental data.  相似文献
