We develop an explicit non-randomized solution to the Skorokhod embedding problem in an abstract setup of signed functionals of excursions of Markov processes. Our setting allows us to solve the Skorokhod embedding problem, in particular, for the age process of excursions of a Markov process, for diffusions and their signed age processes, for Azéma’s martingale and for Bessel processes of dimension smaller than 2.This work is a continuation and an important generalization of Obłój and Yor [J. Obłój, M. Yor, An explicit Skorokhod embedding for the age of Brownian excursions and Azéma martingale, Stochastic Process. Appl. 110 (1) (2004) 83–110]. Our methodology is based on excursion theory and the solution to the Skorokhod embedding problem is described in terms of the Itô measure of the functional. We also derive an embedding for positive functionals and we correct a mistake in the formula of Obłój and Yor [J. Obłój, M. Yor, An explicit Skorokhod embedding for the age of Brownian excursions and Azéma martingale, Stochastic Process. Appl. 110 (1) (2004) 83–110] for measures with atoms.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a spectrally negative Lévy risk model with tax. With the ruin time replaced by a draw-down time with a linear draw-down function and for a constant tax rate, we find expressions for the present values of tax payments. They generalize previous results in Albrecher et al. (2008). Alternative proofs are given for the special case of Cramér–Lundberg risk models. Optimal barrier taxation policies are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, the compound Poisson risk model with surplus-dependent premium rate is analyzed in the taxation system proposed by Albrecher and Hipp (Bl?tter der DGVFM 28(1):13–28, 2007). In the compound Poisson risk model, Albrecher and Hipp (Bl?tter der DGVFM 28(1):13–28, 2007) showed that a simple relationship between the ruin probabilities in the risk model with and without tax exists. This so-called tax identity was later generalized to a surplus-dependent tax rate by Albrecher et al. (Insur Math Econ 44(2):304–306, 2009). The present paper further generalizes these results to the Gerber–Shiu function with a generalized penalty function involving the maximum surplus prior to ruin. We show that this generalized Gerber–Shiu function in the risk model with tax is closely related to the ‘original’ Gerber–Shiu function in the risk model without tax defined in a dividend barrier framework. The moments of the discounted tax payments before ruin and the optimal threshold level for the tax authority to start collecting tax payments are also examined.  相似文献

We consider the Omega model with underlying Ornstein-Uhlenbeck type surplus process for an insurance company and obtain some useful results. Explicit expressions for the expected discounted penalty function at bankruptcy with a constant bankruptcy rate and linear bankruptcy rate are derived. Based on random observations of the surplus process, we examine the differentiability for the expected discounted penalty function at bankruptcy especially at zero. Finally, we give the Laplace transforms for occupation times as an important example of Li and Zhou [Adv. Appl. Probab., 2013, 45(4): 1049–1067].  相似文献

By linking queueing concepts with risk theory, we give a simple and insightful proof of the tax identity in the Cramér-Lundberg model that was recently derived in Albrecher & Hipp [Albrecher, H., Hipp, C., 2007. We consider the optimal capital injection and dividend control problem for a class of growth restricted diffusions with the possibility of bankruptcy. The surplus process of a company is modeled by a diffusion process with return and volatility being functions of the surplus process. The company can control the dividend payments and capital injections with the goal of maximizing the expectation of the total discounted dividends minus the total cost of capital injections up to the time of bankruptcy. In this paper we extend the classical Cramér–Lundberg risk model by including tax payments. The considered tax rule is to pay a certain proportion of the premium income, whenever the portfolio is in a profitable situation. It is shown that the resulting survival probability is a power of the survival probability without tax. Furthermore, an explicit expression for the expected discounted total sum of tax payments until ruin according to this taxation rule is derived and the optimal starting level for taxation is determined. Finally, numerical illustrations of the results are given for the case of exponential claim amounts.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a new drawdown-based regime-switching (DBRS) Lévy insurance model in which the underlying drawdown process is used to model an insurer’s level of financial distress over time, and to trigger regime-switching transitions. By some analytical arguments, we derive explicit formulas for a generalized two-sided exit problem. We specifically state conditions under which the survival probability is not trivially zero (which corresponds to the positive security loading conditions of the proposed model). The regime-dependent occupation time until ruin is later studied. As a special case of the general DBRS model, a regime-switching premium model is given further consideration. Connections with other existing risk models (such as the loss-carry-forward tax model of Albrecher and Hipp, 2007) are established.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate an optimal periodic dividend and capital injection problem for spectrally positive Lévy processes. We assume that the periodic dividend strategy has exponential inter-dividend-decision times and continuous monitoring of solvency. Both proportional and fixed transaction costs from capital injection are considered. The objective is to maximize the total value of the expected discounted dividends and the penalized discounted capital injections until the time of ruin. By the fluctuation theory of Lévy processes in Albrecher et al. (2016), the optimal periodic dividend and capital injection strategies are derived. We also find that the optimal return function can be expressed in terms of the scale functions of Lévy processes. Finally, numerical examples are studied to illustrate our results.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the Markov-modulated insurance risk model with tax. We assume that the claim inter-arrivals, claim sizes and premium process are influenced by an external Markovian environment process. The considered tax rule, which is the same as the one considered by Albrecher and Hipp [Blätter DGVFM 28(1):13–28, 2007], is to pay a certain proportion of the premium income, whenever the insurer is in a profitable situation. A system of differential equations of the non-ruin probabilities, given the initial environment state, are established in terms of the ruin probabilities under the Markov-modulated insurance risk model without tax. Furthermore, given the initial state, the differential equations satisfied by the expected accumulated discounted tax until ruin are also derived. Motivated by problems in behavioural finance, we provide two explicit constructions of a randomized stopping time which embeds a given centred distribution μ on integers into a simple symmetric random walk in a uniformly integrable manner. Our first construction has a simple Markovian structure: at each step, we stop if an independent coin with a state-dependent bias returns tails. Our second construction is a discrete analogue of the celebrated Azéma–Yor solution and requires independent coin tosses only when excursions away from maximum breach predefined levels. Further, this construction maximizes the distribution of the stopped running maximum among all uniformly integrable embeddings of μ.  相似文献

This paper considers an optimal control of a big financial company with debt liability under bankrupt probability constraints. The company, which faces constant liability payments and has choices to choose various production/business policies from an available set of control policies with different expected profits and risks, controls the business policy and dividend payout process to maximize the expected present value of the dividends until the time of bankruptcy. However, if the dividend payout barrier is too low to be acceptable, it may result in the company’s bankruptcy soon. In order to protect the shareholders’ profits, the managements of the company impose a reasonable and normal constraint on their dividend strategy, that is, the bankrupt probability associated with the optimal dividend payout barrier should be smaller than a given risk level within a fixed time horizon. This paper aims at working out the optimal control policy as well as optimal return function for the company under bankrupt probability constraint by stochastic analysis, partial differential equation and variational inequality approach. Moreover, we establish a riskbased capital standard to ensure the capital requirement can cover the total given risk by numerical analysis, and give reasonable economic interpretation for the results.  相似文献

We study the distribution of tax payments in the model of Kyprianou and Zhou [Kyprianou, A.E., Zhou, X., 2009. General tax structures and the Lévy insurance risk model. J. Appl. Probab. (in press)], that is a Lévy insurance risk model with a surplus-dependent tax rate. More precisely, after a short discussion on the so-called tax identity, we derive a recursive formula for arbitrary moments of the discounted tax payments until ruin and we identify the distribution of the tax payments when there is no force of interest.  相似文献

We consider an optimization problem of an insurance company in the diffusion setting, which controls the dividends payout as well as the capital injections. To maximize the cumulative expected discounted dividends minus the penalized discounted capital injections until the ruin time, there is a possibility of (cheap or non-cheap) proportional reinsurance. We solve the control problems by constructing two categories of suboptimal models, one without capital injections and one with no bankruptcy by capital injection. Then we derive the explicit solutions for the value function and totally characterize the optimal strategies. Particularly, for cheap reinsurance, they are the same as those in the model of no bankruptcy.  相似文献

Ab Nordiska Bokhandeln, Stockholm, Takacs, L. 1967. Combinatorial methods in the Theory of Stochastic Processes. Wiley, New York and Avanzi, B., Gerber, H.U., Shiu, E.S.W., 2007. Optimal dividends in the dual model. Insurance: Math. Econom. 41, 111–123) in the presence of tax payments according to a loss-carry forward system. For arbitrary inter-innovation time distributions and exponentially distributed innovation sizes, an expression for the ruin probability with tax is obtained in terms of the ruin probability without taxation. Furthermore, expressions for the Laplace transform of the time to ruin and arbitrary moments of discounted tax payments in terms of passage times of the risk process are determined. Under the assumption that the inter-innovation times are (mixtures of) exponentials, explicit expressions are obtained. Finally, we determine the critical surplus level at which it is optimal for the tax authority to start collecting tax payments.  相似文献

Taxed risk processes, i.e. processes which change their drift when reaching new maxima, represent a certain type of generalizations of Lévy and of Markov additive processes (MAP), since the times at which their Markovian mechanism changes are allowed to depend on the current position. In this paper we study generalizations of the tax identity of Albrecher and Hipp (2007) from the classical risk model to more general risk processes driven by spectrally-negative MAPs. We use the Sparre Andersen risk processes with phase-type interarrivals to illustrate the ideas in their simplest form.  相似文献

For an insurance company with a debt liability, they could make some management actions, such as reinsurance, paying dividends, and capital injection, to balance the profitability and financial bankruptcy. Our objective is to determine risk retention rate, dividend, and capital injection strategy so as to maximize the expected discounted dividends minus the discounted cost of capital injection until the time of ruin. We assume that the dividend payments and capital injection should occur with both fixed and proportional costs. We obtain explicit expressions of the optimal value functions as well as the corresponding optimal joint strategies by routine procedures in a comprehensive basic model using a new technique to solve the related equations. Our results show that whether recapitalizing is profitable or not depends on the costs of capital raising and that the firm injects capital only when the reserves are zero and recapitalizes to the optimal reserves level if the cost of external capital is low.
