The complexation reaction between 1,13-bis(8-quinolyl)-1,4,7,10,13-pentaoxatridecane ligand (Kryptofix5) and Zn2+, Ni2+, Co2+, Pb2+ and Cu2+ ions were studied conductometrically in acetonitrile solution. The formation constants of the resulting 1:1 complexes were calculated from the computer fitting of the molar conductance and absorbance measurements in various mole ratios. The enthalpy and entropy changes of the complexation reactions were derived from titration conductometry in acetonitrile at various temperatures. At 25 °C, the stability of the resulting complexes varied in the order Pb2+ > Zn2+ > Cu2+> Co2+> Ni2+.  相似文献

The electron capture dissociation (ECD) and collision-induced dissociation (CID) of complexes of polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers with metal ions Ag+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Fe2+, and Fe3+ were determined by Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. Complexes were of the form [PD + M + mH]5+ where PD = generation two PAMAM dendrimer with amidoethanol surface groups, M = metal ion, m = 2−4. Complementary information regarding the site and coordination chemistry of the metal ions can be obtained from the two techniques. The results suggest that complexes of Fe3+ and Cu2+ are coordinated via both core tertiary amines, whereas coordination of Ag+ involves a single core tertiary amine. The Zn2+ and Fe2+ complexes do not appear to involve coordination by the dendrimer core.  相似文献

A fast and simple method for preconcentration of Ni^2+, Cd^2+, Pb^2+, Zn^2+, Cu^2+ and Co^2+ from natural water samples was developed. The metal ions were complexed with sodium diethyldithiocarbamate (Na-DDTC), then adsorbed onto octadecyl silica membrane disk, recovered and determined by FAAS. Extraction efficiency, influence of sample volume and eluent flow rates, effects of pH, amount of Na-DDTC, nature and amount of eluent for elution of metal ions from membrane disk, break through volume and limit of detection have been evaluated. The effect of foreign ions on the percent recovery of heavy metal ions has also been studied. The limit of detection of the proposed method for Ni^2+, Cd^2+, Pb^2+, Zn^2+, Cu^2+ and Co^2+was found to be 2.03, 0.47, 3.13, 0.44, 1.24 and 2.05 ng·mL^-1, respectively. The proposed (DDTC) method has been successfully applied to the recovery and determination of heavy metal ions in different water samples.  相似文献

Superabsorbent materials based on natural products have been synthesized by free radical oxidation of corn starch using a redox system consisting of potassium permanganate and sodium bisulfite. The resulting oxidized starches were characterized by analyzing the variation of carbonyl and carboxyl contents. The swelling ability of these samples has been determined by gravimetric method in water and in saline solutions. The effect of oxidant concentration and bleaching procedure on the water absorption capacity has been studied. The ability to remove heavy metals in water solution has been tested against Cd2+, Ni2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ ions, showing higher percentage of remotion for the unbleached oxidized starches, in particular against nickel ions. Abstract

A new inorganic ion exchanger, lead antimonate has been synthesized having an Pb:Sb ratio of 1:5 and cation exchange capacity of 1.46 mequiv./g. It is fairly stable in water and dilute solutions of acids, bases and salts. Ion distribution studies on twenty metal ions have been determined on this gel at pH 1,2,3 and 5. The following mixtures have been separated: Mg2+ - Pb2+, Zn2+ - Pb2+, Zn2+ - Pb2+, Cu2+ - Pb2+, Al3+ - Pb2+, Zn2+ - Cd2+ and Mg2+ - Cd2+. Mg2+ and Al3+ were removed with 0.4 M ammonium nitrate, Cu2+ and Zn2+ with 0.4 M ammonium nitrate + 0.1M nitric acid (1:1), Pb2+ with 0.5M nitric acid and Cd2+ with 0.25M nitric acid. A tentative structure of this material is proposed on the basis of chemical analysis, pH titrations, thermogravimetry and IR spectrophotometry.  相似文献

The formation and dissociation kinetics of the pentaco-ordinated Cu2+, Ni2+, Co2+ and Zn2+ complexes with 1,4,8,11-tetramethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane (4-MeCyclam-14) was studied by pH-stat techniques and spectrophotometrically. The rates of the reactions between 4-MeCyclam-14 and each of the four metal ions, although slower than normal complexations by a factor of 103?104, closely follow the order Cu2+ > Zn2+ > Co2+ > Ni2+, found for the rate of water exchange. This implies that beside water exchange an other constant factor plays an important role in the rate determing step. The dissociation of the pentaco-ordinated 4-MeCyclam-14 complexes is acid catalyzed. The limiting rate for acid dissociation is not reached even in 2.5M HNO3 in the case of Ni(4-MeCyclam-14)2+. From the formation and dissociation rates stability constants have been calculated, which do not show any macrocyclic effect.  相似文献

A new macrocyclic chemosensor containing two naphthalene fluorophores has been synthesized. The fluorescent properties of this receptor has been studied in the presence of various metal ions such as Na+, Ag+, Cr3+, Mn2+, Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+ and Pb2+. When increasing concentrations of Zn2+ ions were introduced, the emission of L was drastically increased (EFE = 4.34). This special change was not observed when other metal ions were used; such highly selective fluorescent response indicates that this receptor can easily discriminate Zn2+ ions from other similar species. Model calculations at DFT level further suggest the possible interaction mode, and relatively steric position between the host and guest also influence the optical response.  相似文献

In this study, the ion-imprinting method has been integrated to develop a novel composite material for the selective separation of Pb2+ ions. Also, Pb2+ ion binding ability of the organosmectite based inorganic-organic composite incorporation of bicyclic C18 organic compound into smectite layers was conducted to draw a projection its potential use as a solid phase exchanger which is quite selective toward Pb2+ ions. The ion-imprinted nanocomposites were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), swelling tests, and elemental analyses. After that, maximum binding capacity, pH, and equilibrium binding time were also been optimized. In order to show the selectivity of the composite synthesized, non-imprinted composites were also synthesized in absence of Pb2+ ions during polymerization. In this step, Ni2+, Co2+, Al3+, Zn2+, and Cu2+ ions were used as competitors under batch adsorption conditions. The relative selectivity coefficients of imprinted composite were calculated as 28.5, 156.5, 69.3, 24.8 and 131.6 for Pb2+/Co2+, Pb2+/Cu2+, Pb2+/Al3+, Pb2+/Zn2+, Pb2+/Ni2+ binary solutions, respectively. Finally, reusability of the composites was evaluated to show its cost-efficiency by repeating adsorption-desorption experiments ten-times. The adsorption capacity of the imprinted composites did not change significantly whereas that of non-imprinted version reduced dramatically.  相似文献

A new fluorescent first generation poly(propylene amine) dendrimer (PPI), peripherally modified with 4(butylamino-substituted-1,8-naphthalimide), has been synthesized and characterized. Its photophysical characteristics in organic solvents of different polarities were studied, and the influence of sodium hydroxide on its spectral characteristics in N,N-dimethylformamide is discussed. The complexes formed between the dendrimer and metal cations in solution have been studied with regard to the potential applications of the new dendrimer as a colorimetric and fluorescent sensor for metal ions. The fluorescence intensity of the dendrimer in the presence of metal cations (Zn2+, Co2+, Pb2+, Mn2+, Cu2+ and Fe3+) increases substantially revealing its sensor potential.  相似文献

The complexing properties of CM-52, Olvagel-COOH, MacroPrep 50 CM, and hypercrosslinked polystyrene MN (carboxyl-grafted sorbents) toward Cu2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cd2+, Zn2+, Mn2+, and Pb2+ have been studied. The optimal parameters for the sorption of these metal ions from solution have been determined. The pH effect on the ion uptake has been studied. The uptake is maximal at pHs higher than 5–6. When pH is lower than 2, the indicated ions are quantitatively desorbed. Olvagel-COOH is most selective toward these ions.  相似文献

The synthesis of two new green fluorescent poly(propyleneimine) dendrimers from first generation has been described. The new materials are comprised of a 1,8-naphthalimide fluorophore having a substituent at C-4 position. The substituent in the first case is a N,N-dimethylaminoethylamino group while in the second one it is N-methylpiperazine. The spectroscopic and photophysical characteristics of the new dendrimers determined in organic solvent of different polarity have been presented. Both dendrimers show substantial increases in their fluorescence intensity in the presence of metal cations (Zn2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Pb2+, Mn2+, Cu2+, Fe3+ and Ag+) and protons. The influence of the photoinduced electron transfer on their sensing properties has been discussed.  相似文献

Heavy metals are non-biodegradable and carcinogenic pollutants with great bio-accumulation potential. Their ubiquitous occurrence in water and soils has caused serious environmental concerns. Effective strategies that can eliminate the heavy metal pollution are urgently needed. Here the adsorption potential of seven heavy metal cations (Cd2+, Cu2+, Fe3+, Hg2+, Mn2+, Ni2+ and Zn2+) with 20 amino acids was systematically investigated with Density Functional Theory method. The binding energies calculated at B3LYP-D3/def2TZVP level showed that the contribution order of amino acid side chains to the binding affinity was carboxyl > benzene ring > hydroxyl > sulfhydryl > amino group. The affinity order was inversely proportional to the radius and charge transfer of heavy metal cations, approximately following the order of: Ni2+ > Fe3+ > Cu2+ > Hg2+ > Zn2+ > Cd2+ > Mn2+. Compared to the gas-phase in other researches, the water environment has a significant influence on structures and binding energies of the heavy metal and amino acid binary complexes. Collectively, the present results will provide a basis for the design of a chelating agent (e.g., adding carboxyl or a benzene ring) to effectively remove heavy metals from the environment.  相似文献

Release of heavy metal onto the water and soil as a result of agricultural and industrial activities may pose a serious threat to the environment. In this study, the adsorption behavior of nano hydroxyapatite with respect to Pb2+, Cd2+ and Ni2+ has been studied in order to consider its application to purity metal finishing wastewater. The batch method has been employed, using metal concentrations in solution ranging from 100 to 400 mg/L. The uptake capacity and distribution coefficients (Kd) were determined for the adsorption system as a function of sorbate concentration. The Langmuir, Freundlich, and Dubinin–Kaganer–Radushkevich (DKR) isotherms applied for sorption studies showed that the amount of metal sorbed on nano hydroxyapatite. It was found that the adsorption phenomena depend on charge density and hydrated ion diameter. According to the equilibrium studies, the selectivity sequence can be given as Pb2+ > Cd2+ > Ni2+. These results show that nano hydroxyapatite holds great potential to remove cationic heavy metal species from industrial wastewater.  相似文献

A new water soluble chromogenic reagent, 2-(5-bromo-pyridylazo)-5-[(N,N-dicarboxylmethyl)amino]-phenol has been synthesized. Its colour reaction with various metal ions was tested, and the acid dissociation constant of the reagent, and the stability constants of the chelates of Ni2+, Co2+, Cu2+, Mn2+, Pb2+, Zn2+ and UO 2 2+ were determined. A new Schiff base containing a macrobicyclic moiety was designed and synthesized by reaction of the corresponding macrobicyclic diamine compound and 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde. The influence of metal cations such as Zn2+, Mn2+, Fe2+, Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+ and Pb2+ on the spectroscopic properties of the 2-hydroxy-1-naphtyl group linked to the macrobicyclic moiety with N2O2S2 mixed donor was investigated in acetonitrile-dichloromethane solution (9.5/0.5) by means of absorption and emission spectrometry. Emission spectra undergo a marked blue shift and enhancement of naphtyl fluorescence in the presence of Fe3+ and Zn2+. The presence of Pb2+, Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+ and Ni2+ caused a quenching of naphtyl fluorescence. Especially, the quenching was higher than 90% in case of the interaction of Ni2+ and Co2+ with the ligand. The results of spectrophotometric and spectrofluorimetric titration experiments disclosed the complexation properties of the novel ligand with Zn2+, Co2+ and Ni2+ cations.  相似文献

The study describes a sorption of metal ions Pb2+, Cd2+, Zn2+ and Cu2+ on a synthetic mica clintonite. Synthesis of analogues of clintonite was carried out by using inorganic salts as sources of silicon and aluminum in the hydrothermal method. Alkaline conditions were applied to increase the nucleation rate. Powdered clintonite obtained after mechanical grinding was used for the removal of metal ions from the wastewater. The sorption experiments were done under batch process to measure the concentrations of metal ions. Effects of pH, contact time between sorbent and sorbate solution, amount of sorbent and temperature on the sorption of metal ions were studied. The sorption was shown to increase with the pH of the medium. The optimal conditions for sorption of metal ions on synthetic analogues of clintonite were determined.  相似文献

A series of macroporous dithiocarbamate chelate resins, III and V, and an oxidized resin, VI, with high adsorption capacity were prepared. The influence of various reaction conditions of amination, dithiocarboxylation, and oxidation were examined. The structure and the conversion of functional groups of resins were confirmed by IR spectra and elemental analysis. The adsorption capacities of Resin II for Hg2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, and Cd2+ are 4.40, 2.44, 1.77, and 1.36 mmol/g, respectively. The adsorption capacities of Resins V and VI for Cu2+. Zn2+, Ni2+, Co3+, Ag+, Hg2+, Cd2+, Pb2+, and Au3+ are 4.07–0.51 and 3.81–0.59 meq ion/g, respectively. The adsorption rate and the influence of pH on the adsorption percentage of the resins for metal ions were examined. Noble metal, transitional metal, and heavy metal ions can be quantitatively adsorbed by the resins. The adsorbed Cu2+, Pb2+, Cd2+, Co3+, and Ni2+ can be quantitatively eluted with 5N HNO3, and the presence of large amounts of Ca2+, Mg2+, Fe3+, and Al3+ did not interfere.  相似文献
