Relative generalized Hamming weights (RGHWs) of a linear code with respect to a linear subcode determine the security of the linear ramp secret sharing scheme based on the linear codes. They can be used to express the information leakage of the secret when some keepers of shares are corrupted. Cyclic codes are an interesting type of linear codes and have wide applications in communication and storage systems. In this paper, we investigate the RGHWs of cyclic codes of two nonzeros with respect to its irreducible cyclic subcodes. We give two formulae for RGHWs of the cyclic codes. As applications of the formulae, explicit examples are computed. Moreover, RGHWs of cyclic codes in the examples are very large, comparing with the generalized Plotkin bound of RGHWs. So it guarantees very high security for the secret sharing scheme based on the dual codes.  相似文献

We determine the number of Fq-rational points of hyperplane sections of classical determinantal varieties defined by the vanishing of minors of a fixed size of a generic matrix, and identify the hyperplane sections giving the maximum number of Fq-rational points. Further we consider similar questions for sections by linear subvarieties of a fixed codimension in the ambient projective space. This is closely related to the study of linear codes associated to determinantal varieties, and the determination of their weight distribution, minimum distance, and generalized Hamming weights. The previously known results about these are generalized and expanded significantly. Connections to eigenvalues of certain association schemes, distance regular graphs, and rank metric codes are also indicated.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce the notion of λ-constacyclic codes over finite rings R for arbitrary element λ of R. We study the non-invertible-element constacyclic codes (NIE-constacyclic codes) over finite principal ideal rings (PIRs). We determine the algebraic structures of all NIE-constacyclic codes over finite chain rings, give the unique form of the sets of the defining polynomials and obtain their minimum Hamming distances. A general form of the duals of NIE-constacyclic codes over finite chain rings is also provided. In particular, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the dual of an NIE-constacyclic code to be an NIE-constacyclic code. Using the Chinese Remainder Theorem, we study the NIE-constacyclic codes over finite PIRs. Furthermore, we construct some optimal NIE-constacyclic codes over finite PIRs in the sense that they achieve the maximum possible minimum Hamming distances for some given lengths and cardinalities.  相似文献

In this paper, R is a finite chain ring with residue field Fq and γ is a unit in R. By assuming that the multiplicative order u of γ is coprime to q, we give the trace-representation of any simple-root γ-constacyclic code over R of length ?, and on the other hand show that any cyclic code over R of length u? is a direct sum of trace-representable cyclic codes. The generalized Hamming weights of a linear code have been extensively studied since Wei first use them to characterize the cryptography performance of a linear code over the wire-tap channel of type II. In this paper, we investigate the generalized Hamming weights of three classes of linear codes constructed through defining sets and determine them partly for some cases. Additive cyclic codes over Galois rings were investigated in Cao et al. (2015). In this paper, we investigate the same problem but over a more general ring family, finite commutative chain rings. When we focus on non-Galois finite commutative chain rings, we observe two different kinds of additivity. One of them is a natural generalization of the study in Cao et al. (2015), whereas the other one has some unusual properties especially while constructing dual codes. In this paper, LCD cyclic, self dual and isodual codes over finite chain rings are investigated. It was proven recently that a non-free LCD cyclic code does not exist over finite chain rings. Based on algebraic number theory, we introduce necessary and sufficient conditions for which all free cyclic codes over a finite chain ring are LCD. We have also obtained conditions on the existence of non trivial self dual cyclic codes of any length when the nilpotency index of the maximal ideal of a finite chain ring is even. Further, several constructions of isodual codes are given based on the factorization of the polynomial xn1 over a finite chain ring.  相似文献
