A new pyrene-containing fluorescent sensor has been synthesized from 2,3,3-trimethylindolenine. Spectroscopic and photophysical properties of sensor are presented. The large change in fluorescence intensity (I/I0 = 0.13) at 381 nm and affinity to Hg2+ over other cations such as K+, Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Pb2+, and Cu2+ make this compound a useful chemosensor for Hg2+ detection in hydrophilic media. The sensor (6.0 × 10−6 M) displays significant fluorescence quenching upon addition of Hg2+ in pH 7.4 HEPES buffer without excimer formation. Job’s plot analysis shows the binding stoichiometry to be 2:1 (host/guest).  相似文献

We have developed naphthalimide-based fluorescent chemosensors that exhibit fluorescence enhancement upon binding Zn2+ ion in 10 mM HEPES buffer (pH 7.4) at 25 °C. The fluorescence enhancement was induced by a PET inhibition process in which electron transfer from the nitrogen lone pair electrons of the Dpa unit to naphthalimide was blocked upon the binding of the sensor to Zn2+. The longer the linker length (n = 1-3) of the sensor, the less the PET efficiency becomes. Among the sensors (1, 2, and 3) examined, 1 shows the highest selectivity and sensitivity for Zn2+ over other transition metal ions and alkali metal ions in water.  相似文献

EPR studies were carried out in (30 - x) Li2O-xK2O-10CdO-59B2O3-1MnO2 multi-component glass system to understand the effect of the variation in the alkali ratios on the EPR parameters. The observed EPR spectra of Mn2+ ion exhibits resonances at g = 2.0, 3.3 and 4.3. The resonance at g = 2.0 is due to Mn2+ ions in an environment close to the octahedral symmetry, where as the resonances at g = 3.3 & 4.3 are due to the rhombic surroundings of Mn2+ ions. Hyperfine splitting constant values at g = 2.0 and number of paramagnetic centers & paramagnetic susceptibility at different observed resonances were evaluated. These parameters show non linear variation with progressive substitution of Li+ ion with K+ ions may be due to the changes in cation field strengths and local structural variation due to the variation in mixed alkali ion ratios.  相似文献

A new chemosensor with a phenanthroimidazole subunit based upon calix[4]arene-diamide has been synthesized, and its Mg2+-selective fluoroionophoric properties were investigated in an aqueous DMSO solution. The compound exhibited a pronounced Mg2+-selective fluoroionophoric behavior over other physiologically relevant metal ions. A significant red shift in fluorescence emission (Δλ = 86 nm) provided the ratiometric determination as well as naked-eye detection of Mg2+ ions.  相似文献

A holographic sensor for real-time detection of divalent metal ions (Ca2+, Mg2+, Ni2+, Co2+ and Zn2+) has been fabricated by incorporating a chelating monomer into a hydrogel matrix. A methacrylated analogue of iminodiacetic acid (IDA) was prepared and co-polymerised with hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EDMA) as a cross-linker to form polymer films. A silver-based reflection hologram was incorporated into the hydrogel by diffusion followed by holographic recording using a frequency-doubled Nd/YAG laser. Changes in the replay wavelength of the hologram were used to characterise the swelling behaviour of the matrix as a function of its chemical composition and concentration of analyte in the media. The effects of active monomer, cross-linker, pH and ionic strength on the swelling of the matrix and on metal detection sensitivity have been studied. Polymers containing >10 mol% of chelating monomer and 6 mol% of cross-linker showed significant responses (46.3 nm) within 30 s at an ion concentration of 0-40 nm. The selectivity of the holograms towards the different ions tested was Ni2+>Zn2+>Co2+>Ca2+>Mg2+. The sensor showed fully reversible responses, permitting real-time monitoring of calcium ion efflux during the germination of Bacillus megaterium spores.  相似文献

A new highly Tl(I)-selective PVC membrane electrode based on tetrathia macrocycle 6,7: 14,15-dibenzo-5,8,13,16-tetraoxo-1,4,9,12-tetrathiacyclohexadecane [Bz2O4(16)aneS4] (I) as membrane carrier, o-nitrophenyloctyl ether (o-NPOE) as solvent mediator and potassium tetrakis(p-chlorophenyl)borate (KTpClPB) as lipophilic additive has been developed. The best performance was given by the membrane of macrocycle (I) with composition 3:120:1.5:50 (I:o-NPOE:KTpClPB:PVC). This electrode exhibits a Nernstian response to Tl(I) ions in the concentration range 1.0 × 10−1-2.23 × 10−6 M with a slope of 58.2 mV/decade of concentration and a detection limit of 1.58 × 10−6 M. The response time of the sensor is 12 s and can be used over a period of 4 months with good reproducibility. The proposed electrode revealed good selectivity over a wide variety of other cations including alkali, alkaline earth, heavy and transition metals. The electrode works well over a pH range of 3.2-11.5 and in partially non-aqueous medium with up to 30% organic content. The sensor was also used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of Tl(I) ions with KI solution.  相似文献

N,N′,N″,N′′′-1,5,8,12-tetraazadodecane-bis(salicylaldiminato)(H2L) has been used as ionophore for preparing Mn2+ selective sensor. Membranes of different composition with regard to ratio of H2L:PVC:NPOE:NaTPB have been prepared and investigated. The best performance was obtained with the membrane of composition 10:150:150:10 (H2L:PVC:NPOE:NaTPB) (w/w; mg). This membrane generated linear potential response in the concentration range of 5.0 × 10−6 to 1.0 × 10−1 M with a Nernstian slope of 30.0 mV/decade of activity and fast response time (10 s). Hydrogen ion does not effect to the performance of sensor in the pH range 3.0-6.5. The sensor was found to be sufficient selective for Mn2+ over a number of alkali, alkaline and heavy metal ions and could therefore be used for the determination of manganese in various samples by direct potentiometry.  相似文献

(H2NCHMeCH2NH2)(H2O)2HgCl2 (I) was synthesised, characterised and used for the fabrication of a potentiometric sensor for Hg2+ metal ions. Membrane having I as electroactive material, sodium tetraphenyl borate (NaTPB) as an anion excluder, dibutylamine (DBA) as plasticizer in PVC matrix in the percentage ratio of 10:3:150:150 (I:NaTPB:DBA:PVC) (w/w) exhibits a linear response to Hg2+ ions in a concentration range of 1.25 × 10−5 to 1.0 × 10−1 M having a detection limit of 8.9 × 10−6 with a slope of 25 ± 0.1 mV over the pH range 6.6-9.3. Selectivity coefficients for Hg(II) relative to a number of interfering ions were investigated. The electrode is highly selective for Hg2+ ions over a large number of mono-, bi-, and trivalent cations. Normal interferents like Ag+ and Cd2+ do not interfere in the working of the electrode. The electrode has also been used successfully in mixtures having a 10% (v/v) methanol and acetone content without showing any considerable change in working concentration range or slope. These electrodes have been found to be chemically inert showing a fast response time of 10 s and were used over a period of 4 months with good reproducibility (s = ±0.2). The electrode was used for determination of mercury in binary mixtures with 100% recovery and thus the proposed sensor can be used for real sample analysis.  相似文献

The two chromium chelates of Schiff bases, N-(acetoacetanilide)-1,2-diaminoethane (L1) and N,N′-bis(acetoacetanilide)-triethylenetetraammine (L2), have been synthesized and explored as neutral ionophores for preparing poly(vinylchloride) (PVC) based membrane sensors selective to Cr(III). The addition of lipophilic anion excluder (NaTPB) and various plasticizers viz. o-Nitrophenyloctyl ether (o-NPOE), dioctylpthalate (DOP), dibutylphthalate (DBP), tris(2-ethylhexyl)phosphate (TEHP), and benzyl acetate (BA) have found to improve the performance of the sensors. The best performance was obtained for the membrane sensor having a composition of L1:PVC:DBP:NaTPB in the ratio 5:150:250:3 (w/w). The sensor exhibits Nernstian response in the concentration range 8.9 × 10−8 to 1.0 × 10−1 M Cr3+ with limit of detection 5.6 × 10−8 M. The proposed sensor manifest advantages of relatively fast response (10 s) and good selectivity over some alkali, alkaline earth, transition and heavy metal ions. The selectivity behavior of the proposed electrode revealed a considerable improvement as compared to the best previously PVC-membrane electrode for chromium(III) ion. The potentiometric response of the proposed sensor was independent of pH of the test solution in the range of 2.0-7.0. The sensor has found to work satisfactorily in partially non-aqueous media up to 20% (v/v) content of methanol, ethanol and acetonitrile and could be used for a period of 3 months. The proposed electrode was used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of chromium ion with EDTA and in direct determination in different water and food samples.  相似文献

The complex formation constants of polyacrylic (PAA) ligands (1.4≤log N≤2.4, N=number of monomer units) with calcium and magnesium ions were determined in different ionic media at different ionic strengths, 0≤I≤1 mol l−1, at t=25 °C. Experimental pH-metric data in the presence of Ca2+ or Mg2+ were firstly analysed in terms of apparent protonation constants, log KH*, using the “three parameter model” proposed by Högfeldt; differences in log KH*, determined in different ionic media, were interpreted in terms of complex species formation. The only species present in the system M-PAA (M=Ca2+ or Mg2+) is ML2: attempts to find species of different stoichiometry were unsuccessful. The stability dependence of this species on ionic strength, on the degree of neutralisation (α) and on PAA molecular weight is discussed using empirical equations. The formation constant, log β2, is significantly higher for Ca2+ than for Mg2+: at I=0.1 mol l−1 (NaCl), log N=1.8 and α=0.5, log β2Ca=4.43 and log β2Mg=4.24. The formation of polyacrylate-alkaline earth metal complexes is discussed in the light of sequestering effects in natural waters.  相似文献

A polyvinyl chloride (PVC) based membrane sensor for cerium ions was prepared by employing N,N′-bis[2-(salicylideneamino)ethyl]ethane-1,2-diamine as an ionophore, oleic acid (OA) as anion excluder and o-nitrophenyloctyl ether (o-NPOE) as plasticizer. The plasticized membrane sensor exhibits a Nernstian response for Ce(III) ions over a wide concentration range (1.41 × 10−7 to 1.0 × 10−2 M) with a limit of detection as low as 8.91 × 10−8 M. It has a fast response time (<10 s) and can be used for 4 months. The sensor revealed a very good selectivity with respect to common alkali, alkaline earth and heavy metal ions. The response of the proposed sensor is independent of pH between 3.0 and 8.0. It was used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of fluoride, carbonate and oxalate anions and determination of cerium in simulated mixtures.  相似文献

Plasticized membranes using Schiff Base complexes, derived from 2,3-diaminopyridine and o-vanilin have been prepared and explored as Cu2+-selective sensors. Effect of various plasticizers viz., dibutyl phthalate (DBP), dioctylphthalate (DOP), chloronaphthalene (CN), tri-n-butylphosphate (TBP) etc. and anion excluder, sodium tetraphenylborate (NaTPB) was studied in detail and improved performance was observed at several instances. Optimum performance was observed with Schiff Base (B) having a membrane composition of B(1%):PVC(33%):DOP(65%):NaTPB(1%). The sensor works satisfactorily in the concentration range 5.0×10−6 to 1.0×10−1 M (detection limit 0.3 ppm) with a Nernstian slope of 29.6 mV per decade of activity. Wide pH range (1.9-5.2), fast response time (<30 s), high non-aqueous tolerance (up to 20%) and adequate shelf life (>4 months) indicate the vital utility of the proposed sensor. The potentiometric selectivity coefficient values as determined by match potential method (MPM) indicate good response for Cu2+ in presence of interfering ions. The tolerance level of Hg2+, which causes serious interference in the determination of Cu2+ ions (KCu2+Hg2+Pot(MPM): 0.45), was determined as a function of Cu2+ concentration in simulated mixtures. The sensor was also used in the potentiometric titration of Cu2+ with EDTA.  相似文献

A novel, highly selective and sensitive paper-based colorimetric sensor for trace determination of copper (Cu2+) ions was developed. The measurement is based on the catalytic etching of silver nanoplates (AgNPls) by thiosulfate (S2O32−). Upon the addition of Cu2+ to the ammonium buffer at pH 11, the absorption peak intensity of AuNPls/S2O32− at 522 nm decreased and the pinkish violet AuNPls became clear in color as visible to the naked eye. This assay provides highly sensitive and selective detection of Cu2+ over other metal ions (K+, Cr3+, Cd2+, Zn2+, As3+, Mn2+, Co2+, Pb2+, Al3+, Ni2+, Fe3+, Mg2+, Hg2+ and Bi3+). A paper-based colorimetric sensor was then developed for the simple and rapid determination of Cu2+ using the catalytic etching of AgNPls. Under optimized conditions, the modified AgNPls coated at the test zone of the devices immediately changes in color in the presence of Cu2+. The limit of detection (LOD) was found to be 1.0 ng mL−1 by visual detection. For semi-quantitative measurement with image processing, the method detected Cu2+ in the range of 0.5–200 ng mL−1(R2 = 0.9974) with an LOD of 0.3 ng mL−1. The proposed method was successfully applied to detect Cu2+ in the wide range of real samples including water, food, and blood. The results were in good agreement according to a paired t-test with results from inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES).  相似文献

A new biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) sensing method employing a double-mediator (DM) system coupled with ferricyanide and a lipophilic mediator, menadione and the eukaryote Saccharomyces cerevisiae has been developed. In this study, a stirred micro-batch-type microbial sensor with a 560 μL volume and a two-electrode system was used. The chronamperometric response of this sensor had a linear response between 1 μM and 10 mM hexacyanoferrate(II) (r2 = 0.9995, 14 points, n = 3, average of relative standard deviation and R.S.D.av = 1.3%). Next, the optimum conditions for BOD estimation by the DM system (BODDM) were investigated and the findings revealed that the concentration of ethanol, used to dissolve menadione, influenced the sensor response and a relationship between the sensor output and glucose glutamic acid concentration was obtained over a range of 6.6-220 mg O2 L−1 (five points, n = 3, R.S.D.av 6.6%) when using a reaction mixture incubated for 15 min. Subsequently, the characterization of this sensor was studied. The sensor responses to 14 pure organic substances were compared with the conventional BOD5 method and other biosensor methods. Similar results with the BOD biosensor system using Trichosporon cutaneum were obtained. In addition, the influence of chloride ion, artificial seawater and heavy metal ions on the sensor response was investigated. A slight influence of 20.0 g L−1 chloride ion and artificial seawater (18.4 g L−1 Cl) was observed. Thus, the possibility of BOD determination for seawater was suggested in this study. In addition, no influence of the heavy metal ions (1.0 mg L−1 Fe3+, Cu2+, Mn2+, Cr3+ and Zn2+) was observed. Real sample measurements using both river water and seawater were performed and compared with those obtained from the BOD5 method. Finally, stable responses were obtained for 14 days when the yeast suspension was stored at 4 °C (response reduction, 93%; R.S.D. for 6 testing days, 9.1%).  相似文献

A newly designed internal charge transfer chemosensor, DIPZON exhibits Co2+ selective optical responses, which include 112 nm red shift in absorption and a dramatic 37-fold enhancement in the fluorescence output in the buffer CH3OH/H2O (1:1 v/v) system. By contrast, the optical responses were not as sensitive with several other biologically relevant metal ions examined with the binding interactions following the sequence Co2+ > Cu2+ > Zn2+ > Cd2+ >> Ba2+ ≈ Ca2+ ≈ Mg2+ ≈ K+ ≈ Na+ ≈ Li+.  相似文献

A novel selective membrane electrode for determination of ultra-trace amount of lead was prepared. The PVC membrane containing N,N′-dimethylcyanodiaza-18-cown-6 (DMCDA18C6) directly coated on a graphite electrode, exhibits a Nernstian response for Pb2+ ions over a very wide concentration range (from 1.0×10−2 to 1.0×10−7 M) with a limit of detection of 7.0×10−8 M (∼14.5 ppb). It has a fast response time of ∼10 s and can be used for at least 2 months without any major deviation in potential. The electrode revealed very good selectivity with respect to all common alkali, alkaline earth, transition and heavy metal ions. The proposed sensor was used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of lead ions and in determination of lead in edible oil, human hair and water samples. The proposed sensor was found to be superior to the best Pb2+-selective electrodes reported in terms of detection limit and selectivity coefficient.  相似文献

The electronic, magnetic, and thermodynamic properties of alkali/alkaline earth metal ion-adsorbed gallium nitride nanocage (Ga5N10_NC) have been investigated using density functional theory. The results denote that alkali/alkaline earth-metal ion-adsorbed Ga5N10_NC systems are stable compounds, with the most stable adsorption site being the center of the cage ring. The partial density of states (PDOS) can estimate a certain charge assembly between Li+, Na+, K+/ Be2+, Mg2+, Ca2+ and Ga5N10_NC which indicate the complex dominant of metallic features as: Ca2+ > Mg2+ > Be2+ >> K+ > Na+ > Li+. For confirmation of magnetic-alignment of Ga5N10_NC, monovalent (M+) and divalent (M2+) metal ions were added to the sample to measure the effects of metals on the magnetic-alignment properties of Ga5N10_NC. Furthermore, the reported results of NMR spectroscopy have exhibited that both M+ and M2+ can be optimized to achieve optimal alignment of nanocage in the presence of an applied magnetic field; however, chemical shift anisotropy spans for Ca2+– and Mg2+–containing samples is due to Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions binding to Ga5N10_NC. Regarding IR spectroscopy, Li+@ Ga5N10_NC and Be2+@ Ga5N10_NC with more electronegativity appear the most fluctuations through adsorption process. Moreover, based on NQR analysis, Ca2+ has shown a different graph of electric potential during trapping in Ga5N10_NC compared to other metal cations. Based on the results of amounts in this research, the selectivity of metal ion adsorption by gallium nitride nanocage (ion sensor) has been approved as: K+>Na+> Li+ in alkali metals and Ca2+>Mg2+> Be2+ in alkaline earth metals.  相似文献

A new coumarin-based sensor molecule (L1) has been synthesized and this was found to bind calcium and magnesium ions more effectively as compared to other alkali/alkaline earth/lanthanide and certain transition metal ions. A significant enhancement in fluorescence intensity was observed on binding to Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions; while a minor quenching was observed for weakly bound Hg2+, Ni2+, Fe3+, and Co2+ ions. PET process, coupled with the ICT process, is proposed to explain the observed spectral response.  相似文献

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) based membranes using macrocyclic dithioxamide receptor (I) derived from isophthaloyl dichloride and dithioxamide have been prepared and explored as HPO42−-selective sensors. Effect of various plasticizers viz., bis(2-ethylhexyl) sebacate (DOS), dibutylphosphate (DBP), tri-n-butylphosphate (TBP), O-nitrophenyl octyl ether (NPOE), tris(2-ethylhexyl)phosphate (TEHP) and a cation excluder, tridodecylmethylammonium chloride (TDDMACl) was studied in detail and improved performance was observed at several instances. Optimum performance was observed with the membrane having (I)-PVC-TDDMACl-NPOE in the ratio 2:33:1.5:63.5 (w/w). The sensor works satisfactorily in the concentration range 1.7 × 10−6 to 1.0 × 10−2 M (detection limit 0.2 ppm) with Nernstian compliance (29.6 mV/decade of activity) at pH 8.0 with a fast response time of about 8 s. The potentiometric selectivity coefficient values as determined by the matched potential method (MPM) and the fixed interference method (FIM) indicate selective response for HPO42− in presence of interfering ions. The sensor exhibits adequate shelf life (∼2 months) with good reproducibility (S.D. ± 0.4 mV). The sensor was also used successfully in the potentiometric titration of HPO42− with Ba2+.  相似文献
