We prove a necessary condition for polynomial solvability of the jump number problem in classes of bipartite graphs characterized by a finite set of forbidden induced bipartite subgraphs. Vanishing quantum discord and the entropy correlations between subsystems in a bipartite system are investigated. We numerically verify that there exists a condition of complete entropy exchange between the two subsystems, and it is found that the condition is in excellent agreement with that of the nullity of quantum discord in a certain range of parameters of the bipartite system.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a new sufficient condition on degrees for a bipartite tournament to be Hamiltonian, that is, if an n × n bipartite tournament T satisfies the condition W(n - 3), then T is Hamiltonian, except for four exceptional graphs. We consider bipartite graphs of degree Δ≥2, diameter D=3, and defect 2 (having 2 vertices less than the bipartite Moore bound). Such graphs are called bipartite (Δ, 3, ?2) ‐graphs. We prove the uniqueness of the known bipartite (3, 3, ?2) ‐graph and bipartite (4, 3, ?2)‐graph. We also prove several necessary conditions for the existence of bipartite (Δ, 3, ?2) ‐graphs. The most general of these conditions is that either Δ or Δ?2 must be a perfect square. Furthermore, in some cases for which the condition holds, in particular, when Δ=6 and Δ=9, we prove the non‐existence of the corresponding bipartite (Δ, 3, ?2)‐graphs, thus establishing that there are no bipartite (Δ, 3, ?2)‐graphs, for 5≤Δ≤10. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Let G be a simple connected graph on 2n vertices with a perfect matching. For a given positive integer k, 1 k n − 1, G is k-extendable if for every matching M of size k in G, there exists a perfect matching in G containing all the edges of M. The problem that arises is that of characterizing k-extendable graphs. In this paper, we establish a necessary condition, in terms of minimum degree, for k-extendable graphs. Further, we determine the set of realizable values for minimum degree of k-extendable graphs. In addition, we establish some results on bipartite graphs including a sufficient condition for a bipartite graph to be k-extendable.  相似文献

Let K_(m,n) be a complete bipartite graph with two partite sets having m and nvertices, respectively. A K_(p,q)-factorization of K_(m,n) is a set of edge-disjoint K_(p,q)-factorsof K_(m,n) which partition the set of edges of K_(m,n). When p=i and q is a prime number,Wang, in his paper "On K_(1,k)-factorizations of a complete bipartite graph" (Discrete Math,1994, 126; 359-364), investigated the K_(1,q)-factorization of K_(m,n) and gave a sufficientcondition for such a factorization to exist. In the paper "K_(1,k)-factorizations of completebipartite graphs" (Discrete Math, 2002, 259: 301-306), Du and Wang extended Wang'sresult to the case that q is any positive integer In this paper, we give a sufficient conditionfor K_(m,n) to have a K_(p,q)-factorization. For an edge‐colored graph, its minimum color degree is defined as the minimum number of colors appearing on the edges incident to a vertex and its maximum monochromatic degree is defined as the maximum number of edges incident to a vertex with a same color. A cycle is called properly colored if every two of its adjacent edges have distinct colors. In this article, we first give a minimum color degree condition for the existence of properly colored cycles, then obtain the minimum color degree condition for an edge‐colored complete graph to contain properly colored triangles. Afterwards, we characterize the structure of an edge‐colored complete bipartite graph without containing properly colored cycles of length 4 and give the minimum color degree and maximum monochromatic degree conditions for an edge‐colored complete bipartite graph to contain properly colored cycles of length 4, and those passing through a given vertex or edge, respectively.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish a sufficient condition on distance signless Laplacian spectral radius for a bipartite graph to be Hamiltonian. We also give two sufficient conditions on distance signless Laplacian spectral radius for a graph to be Hamilton-connected and traceable from every vertex, respectively.
