In this paper,we review the recent progress in the optical signal processing based on the nonlinearity of semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs).The four important optical signal processing functional blocks in optical switching are presented,i.e.,optical wavelength conversion,optical regeneration,optical logic,and optical format conversion.We present a brief overview of optical wavelength conversion,and focus on various schemes to suppress the slow gain recovery of the SOA and improve the operating speed of the SOA-based optical switches.Optical regeneration including re-amplification,re-shaping and re-timing is also presented.Optical clock recovery that is essential for optical regeneration is reviewed.We also report the recent advances in optical logic and optical format conversion,respectively.After reviewing the four important optical signal processing functional blocks,the review concludes with the future research directions and photonic integration.  相似文献

利用CPLD作为硬件设计平台,在某些芯片对光电转换中的信号进行处理前,对芯片进行初始化配置及其他逻辑控制.仿真显示该方法可以实现所需时序,在顺利通过所设计的测试方案后,最终将相关VHDL代码下载到光电转换板卡中用于实际应用.结果表明,设计完全满足系统要求.  相似文献

The last two decades have seen a wealth of optical instrumentation based upon the concepts of space-time duality. A historical overview of how this beautiful framework has been exploited to develop instruments for optical signal processing is presented. The power of this framework is then demonstrated by reviewing four devices in detail based upon space-time dualities that have been experimentally demonstrated: 1) a time-lens timing-jitter compensator for ultralong-haul dense-wavelength-division-multiplexed dispersion-managed soliton transmission, 2) a multiwavelength pulse generator using time-lens compression, 3) a programmable ultrafast optical delay line by use of a time-prism pair, and 4) an enhanced ultrafast optical delay line by use of soliton propagation between a time-prism pair.  相似文献

A novel dual-loop optoelectronic oscillator(OEO),which is constructed based on all optical signal processing,is proposed and analyzed.By inserting an erbium-doped fiber amplifier(EDFA) and a fiber Bragg grating(FBG) on the optical domain,the amplification and filter are implemented in the OEO loop.The performance of the OEO is improved without any electronic filter or electronic amplifier.A theoretical analysis is performed,and the generated microwave signal exhibits good performance with phase noise lower than -120 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz and a high side-mode suppression ratio(SMSR).  相似文献

光学向量-矩阵乘法器(OVMM)作为一种利 用光学方式进行向量-矩阵运算(VMM)的光学系统,由于采用天然具有高带宽、高并行性的 光学处理方式, 在海量数据处理领域极具潜力。本文实现了一套基于空间OVMM的光电混合 数字信号处理系统,采用自主设计实现的维度为16×16的空间OVMM作 为核心运算单元。实验结果显示,系统能够完成76.8G/s乘法累加 (MAC)运算,满足实时 数据处理对运算速度的需求。系统使用可编程逻辑器件(FPGA)作为电学协处理单元的核心组 成部分,因此具有可编程性,可以满足多种不同的应用需求。  相似文献

We have demonstrated simple reconfigurable all-optical logic operations based on four-wave mixing in semiconductor optical amplifier and encoding information in the polarization of the input signals. Experimental implementation of six logic functions (including XOR, XNOR, AND, NOR, etc.) operating at 10 Gb/s were realized by simply adjusting two polarization controllers in the setup.  相似文献

In this paper,several applications in all-optical signal processing based on a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) and variable delayed interferometers (DIs) have been experimentally demonstrated.Wavelength converter based on a nonlinear polarization switch (NPS) and a DI is proposed and presented for the wavelength conversion of nonretum-to-zero (NRZ) signals.An alloptical nonretum-to-zero to return-to-zero (NRZ-to-RZ)format converter with tunable duty cycles is achieved by the DI with variable delays.The 40 Gb/s reconfigurable optical OR/NOR gate in a single SOA,followed a tunable optical bandpass filter (OBF) and a DI,optical 2R regeneration using an SOA-DI are investigated.It is found that this combinative realization of filters has been endowed with great flexibility and quality for 40 Gb/s optical logic and 2R regeneration.  相似文献

以激光测速为基础,引入飞秒光频梳,通过鉴相信号处理,研究出了一种高精度的测速方法,理论测量下限低至m/s量级。文中详细分析了飞秒光频梳经运动目标反射后梳齿相位发生变化的原理,建立了较为全面的数学模型并使用MATLAB软件进行了仿真。采用快速傅里叶变换方法对仿真测量信号相位信息进行提取并处理,分别对m/s、mm/s和m/s量级速度值进行了测量,理想情况下测量误差在1 m/s以下。同时,还对做任意运动的目标进行了测量仿真实验,结果表明文中方法还可以还原目标的运动状态。最后搭建了实验装置对mm/s量级的速度进行测量,测量相对误差均在4%以内,验证了此方法的可行性。  相似文献

We demonstrate novel optical signal processing functions based on self-induced nonlinear polarization rotation in a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA). Numerical and experimental results are presented, which demonstrate that a nonlinear polarization switch can be employed to achieve all-optical logic. We demonstrate an all-optical header processing system, an all-optical seed pulse generator for packet synchronization, and an all-optical arbiter that can be employed for optical buffering at a bit rate of 10 Gb/s. Experimental results indicate that optical signal processing functions based on self-polarization rotation have a higher extinction ratio and a lower power operation compared with similar functions based on self-phase modulation.  相似文献

In this paper, we demonstrate optical transparency in packet formatting and network traffic offered by all-optical switching devices. Exploiting the bitwise processing capabilities of these "optical transistors," simple optical circuits are designed verifying the independency to packet length, synchronization and packet-to-packet power fluctuations. Devices with these attributes are key elements for achieving network flexibility, fine granularity and efficient bandwidth-on-demand use. To this end, a header/payload separation circuit operating with IP-like packets, a clock and data recovery circuit handling asynchronous packets and a burst-mode receiver for bursty traffic are presented. These network subsystems can find application in future high capacity data-centric photonic packet switched networks.  相似文献

介绍了基于XI LI NX FPGA的1Gb/s光OFDM(O-OFDM)发送端信号处理的整体设计,对传输信号的星座映射及FFT进行了研究,重点分析了不同量化比特数时IFFT/FFT的误差矢量幅度(EVM),提出了使用不同量化比特对信号进行适当放大而提高系统的IFFT-FFT转换精度的方法。实验验证了OFDM信号I FFT-FFT变换后随量化比特数的增加,EVM值不断减少,相应的星座图更收敛。  相似文献

交叉项问题是合成孔径雷达信号处理的主要难题,为了解决常规的合成孔径雷达信号处理中的交叉项问题,从 Wigner-Ville引出 Wigner-Hough变换的原理,及Wigner-Hough变换处理这一问题的方法。通过 Matlab软件仿真实验,比较常规方法与Wigner-Hough变换处理后的合成孔径回波信号效果,经过Wigner-Hough变换处理后的回波信号解决了交叉项问题,凸显Wigner-Hough变换在处理合成孔径信号中的优势。  相似文献
