In this paper we study quark matter and strange quark matter in higher-dimensional spherical symmetric space-times. We analyze strange quark matter for the different equations of state and obtain the space-time geometry of quark and strange quark matter. We also discuss the features of the obtained solutions in the context of higher-dimensional general theory of relativity.  相似文献

In a nonlinear chiral SU(3) framework, we investigate the quark condensate in the strange matter including N, Σ, Ξ, and Λ, making use of chiral symmetry spontaneous breaking Lagrangian and mean-field approximation. The results show that the chiral symmetry is restored partially when the strange matter density increases and that 〈π→2〉 plays a very important role in the strange matter which may approach the constituents of the neutron stars. In addition, we can find that the strange matter density where the π-condensate emerges leads to the ratio of the nucleon number to baryon number.  相似文献

It is found that the radius for a stable strangelet is a decreasing function of temperature in quark mass density- dependent model. To overcome this difficulty, we extend this model to quark mass density- and temperature- dependent model in which the vacuum energy density at zero baryon density limit B depends on temperature. An ansatz B=B 0[1-a(T/T c )+b(T/T c ) 2] is introduced and the regions for the best choice of the parameters are studied.  相似文献

We study the non-spherical gravitational collapse of the strange quark null fluid. The interesting feature which emerges is that the non-spherical collapse of charged strange quark matter leads to a naked singularity whereas the gravitational collapse of neutral quark matter proceeds to form a black hole. We extend the earlier work of Harko and Cheng [Phys. Lett. A 266 (2000) 249] to the non-spherical case.  相似文献

We propose a model of propagation of lumps of Strange Quark Matter (strangelets) through the atmosphere, which accounts for their apparent strong penetrability and normal nuclear-type sizes at the same time. The mass spectrum of strangelets reaching the Earth predicted by this model agrees very well with the existing data on the abundance of different elemets in the Universe.  相似文献

We have obtained FRW cosmological model with strange quark matter attached to the string cloud in general relativity. The model is obtained with the help of special law of variation for Hubble parameter proposed by Bermann (Nuovo Cimento 74B:182, 1983). We propose a relativistic model for strange quark stars within the framework of MIT Bag model. In our model, we assume that the highly compact strange stars are anisotropic in nature which is an expected feature in the ultra high density regime. We discuss various physical features of the model and show that the model satisfies all the regularity conditions. By estimating the value of the Bag constant for strange star candidates like 4U 1820-30, Her X-1 and SAX J 1808.4-3658, we show that a wire range of values of the Bag constant are possible for such stars though, in the case of 4U 1820-30, the estimated value of the Bag constant has been found to be very close to its currently acceptable range. Nevertheless, our results are in agreement with the recent CERN-SPS and RHIC data.  相似文献

The Axially symmetric space times with strange quark matter attached to string cloud in Barber’s (Gen. Relativ. Gravit. 14, 117, 1982) self-creation theory and general relativity have been studied. The field equations of the two theories have been solved by using the anisotropy feature of the universe in the axially symmetric space times. Some important features of the models, thus obtained, have been discussed and it is established that the additional condition, special law of variation of Hubble parameter proposed by Bermann (Nuovo Cimento B 74, 182, 1983), taken by Katore and Shaikh (Int. J. Teor. Phys. 51, 1881, 2012) in general relativity is superfluous.  相似文献

Quark condensates in nuclear matter are one of the key problems for the study of nuclear physics at quark lever, and it is related closely to a deeper understanding of the properties of hadrons in nuclear matter. In this paper we introduce bilocal fields in the global color symmetry model and consider color and electrical neutrality conditions simultaneously to study the effect of strange quark mass Ms for the momentum-dependent condensate of color-flavor locked phase. For studying the anisotropic strange quark stars,we assume that the radial pressure inside an anisotropic star can be obtained simply by isotropic pressure plus an additional Gaussian term with three free parameters(A,μand χ).According to recent observations,a pulsar in a mass range of 1.97±0.04M_⊙ has been measured.Hence,we take this opportunity to set the free parameters of our model.We fix χ by applying boundary and stability conditions and then search the A —μ parameter space for a maximum mass range of 1.9M_⊙ M_(max) 2.1M_⊙.Our results indicate that anisotropy increases the maximum mass M_(max) and also its corresponding radius R for a typical strange quark star.Furthermore,our model shows magnetic field and electric charge increase the anisotropy factor △.In fact,△ has a maximum on the surface and this maximum goes up in the presence of magnetic field and electric charge.Finally,we show that anisotropy can be more effective than either magnetic field or electric charge in raising maximum mass of strange quari stars.  相似文献

 We present a relativistic three-body equation to investigate three-quark clusters in hot and dense quark matter. To derive such an equation we use the Dyson equation approach. The equation systematically includes the Pauli blocking factors as well as the self-energy corrections of quarks. Special relativity is realized through the light front form. In this review article we give a brief overview on some recent progress in quark pairings in dense quark/nuclear matter mostly developed in the past five years.We focus on following aspects in particular:the BCS-BEC crossover in the CSC phase,the baryon formation and dissociation in dense quark/nuclear matter,the Ginzburg-Landau theory for three-flavor dense matter with UA(1) anomaly,and the collective and Nambu-Goldstone modes for the spin-one CSC.  相似文献
