The new nitrogen-free compound stachybotrolide has been detected among the products of the vital activity ofStachybotrys alternans. The structure of stachybotrolide has been determined on the basis of IR, mass, and1H and13C NMR spectra. Stachybotrys alternans produces a series of low-molecular-mass compounds. By their column chromatography we have isolated the nitrogen-containing compound stachybotrin.
