We built in [6] a version with elliptic coefficients of the Birkhoff connection matrix and showed its role in the classification of regular singular q-difference systems. We give here a geometrical interpretation: when q tends to 1, P tends to a locally constant matrix P such that the (finitely many) values (a)1 (b) are the monodromy matrices of the limiting differential system (assumed to be non-resonant at 0 and ∞) at the singularities on C*.  相似文献

In this Note, the exact synchronization for a coupled system of wave equations with Dirichlet boundary controls and some related concepts are introduced. By means of the exact null controllability of a reduced coupled system, under certain conditions of compatibility, the exact synchronization, the exact synchronization by groups, and the exact null controllability and synchronization by groups are all realized by suitable boundary controls.  相似文献

Adaptive computation using adaptive meshes is now recognized as essential for solving complex PDE problems. This computation requires, at each step, the definition of a continuous metric field to govern the generation of the adapted meshes. In practice, via an appropriate a posteriori error estimation, metrics are calculated at the vertices of the computational domain mesh. In order to obtain a continuous metric field, the discrete field is interpolated in the whole domain mesh. In this Note, a new method for interpolating discrete metric fields, based on a so-called “natural decomposition” of metrics, is introduced. The proposed method is based on known matrix decompositions and is computationally robust and efficient. Some qualitative comparisons with classical methods are made to show the relevance of this methodology.  相似文献

Our wish is to approximate an elliptic problem with highly oscillatory coefficients using a problem of the same type, but with constant coefficients. We deliberately take an engineering perspective, where the information on the oscillating coefficients in the equation can be incomplete or entirely missing. We investigate the links between this particular question and the classical theory of homogenization. On some illustrating examples we show the potential practical interest of the approach.  相似文献

We propose a time domain decomposition method that breaks the sequentiality of the integration scheme for systems of ODE. Under the condition of differentiability of the flow, we transform the initial value problem into a well-posed boundary values problem using the symmetrization of the interval of time integration and time-reversible integration scheme. For systems of linear ODE, we explicitly construct the block tridiagonal system satisfied by the solutions at the time sub-intervals extremities. We then propose an iterative algorithm of Schwarz type for updating the interfaces conditions which can extend the method to systems of nonlinear ODE.  相似文献
