The gas-phase encounters between 2-aminobutane and proton-bound chiral resorcin[4]arene/nucleoside complexes behave in the gas phase as supramolecular "chiroselective logic gates" by releasing the nucleoside depending on the resorcin[4]arene and the 2-aminobutane configurations.  相似文献

Chiral α-amino acids play critical roles in the metabolic process in nearly all life forms. So far, chiral recognition of α-amino acids has mainly focused on the determination of l /d enantiomers. Herein, selection of planar chiral conformations between water-soluble pillar[5]arene WP5 and pillar[6]arene WP6 was observed due to α-side chain or ethyl ester moieties of l -α-amino acid ethyl ester hydrochlorides binding with WP5 and WP6 , respectively. Therefore, α-side chain and ethyl ester moieties of l -α-amino acid ethyl ester hydrochlorides were recognized by observing the induced CD signal and its inversion. This is a rare example of being able to detect the chiral region around α-carbon of a chiral α-amino acid molecule.  相似文献

A newly designed inherently chiral calix[4]arene was synthesized and resolved to an optically pure form. Enantiomeric recognition ability of the chiral calix[4]arene was examined using 1H NMR experiments with mandelic acid. Inherently chiral biscalixarenes with hetero-cavities were synthesized by a covalent assembly of p-tert-butylcalix[5]arene with a 1,3-substituted calix[4]arene via 1,3-alkylation reaction and subsequent desymmetrization. The racemates were resolved by chiral HPLC method. 1H NMR spectra, VT-NMR spectra, and theoretical calculations support that the calix[5]arene subunit of the inherently chiral calix[4][5]arene ester adopts a cone-in conformation, with the aromatic ring bearing the CH2CO2Et group tilting inward the calix[5]arene cavity. By contrast, such a cone-in structural feature of the calix[5]arene subunit disappears for the corresponding inherently chiral calix[4][5]arene carboxylic acid, due to the intramolecular hydrogen bonding between the carboxyl group and an ethereal oxygen of the glycolic chain.  相似文献

An inherently chiral biscalix[4]arene carboxylic acid cone–partial cone conformer was optically resolved into individual enantiomers by chemical resolution method using (S)-BINOL as a chiral auxiliary. The partial cone calix[4]arene component plays a crucial role in optical resolution. We have designed and synthesized an inherently chiral calix[4]arene partial cone conformer, in which a crown-4 ether moiety, a carboxyl group, and a propyl group are convergent. Chemical resolution was achieved by use of (S)-BINOL as a chiral auxiliary. 1H NMR titration data revealed that the title compound does not have the ability to differentiate both enantiomers of chiral amine and aminoalcohol guests. The approximately symmetric calix[4]arene skeleton of the partial cone conformer is presumed to be responsible for its undesirable chiral recognition ability.  相似文献

A diastereomeric mixture of chiral 25-(1S)-camphorsulfonyloxy-26-isopropoxycalix[4]arene 2a (de 15%) and 25-isopropoxy-26-((1S)-10-camphorsulfonyl)calix[4]arene 2b has been obtained by asymmetrical lower rim (1S)-camphorsulfonylation of the monoisopropoxycalix[4]arene. Pure diastereomer 2a has been obtained by simple crystallization, and its absolute configuration has been determinated by X-ray analysis. Enantiomerically pure inherently chiral 5,11-dibromo-26-isopropoxycalix[4]arene 4 has been synthesized by the upper rim dibromination of the diastereomer 2a followed by hydrolytical removal of the auxiliary camphorsulfonyl group.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Optically pure calix[6]arenes bearing chiral amino arms 4, 7, and 10 have been synthesized in high yields from the known symmetrically 1,3,5-trismethylated calix[6]arene. For both compounds 7 and 10, the key step consists of an efficient selective alkylation on the narrow rim of the calix[6]arene with Ba(OH)2 as the base. All of these chiral calix[6]tris-amines possess a similar flattened cone conformation with the cavity occupied by the methoxy groups. In contrast to 4 and 7, upon protonation, the enantiopure calix[6]arene 10 can switch to the opposite flattened cone conformation through self-assembly of its ammonium arms in an ion-paired cap which closes the cavity. As shown by NMR host-guest studies and an X-ray structure, the obtained polarized host (10 x 3H+) behaves as a remarkable endo-receptor for small polar neutral molecules. Thanks to the tris-cationic chiral binding site of 10 x 3H+, it was shown that the guests experience a chiral environment upon inclusion. Finally, the first example of enantioselective molecular recognition inside the cavity of a calix[6]arene has been evidenced with a racemic 1,2-diol guest.  相似文献

Novel chiral calix[4]arene derivatives functionalized at the lower rim have been prepared from the reaction of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene diamine or acylhydrazine derivative with mandelic acid or hydroxyisovaleric acid. The structures of these receptors were characterized by FTIR, 1H, 13C and 2D COSY NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The transport of amino acid derivatives (phenylalanine, phenylglycine and tryptophan methyl ester hydrochlorides) was studied through bulk liquid membrane in the presence of chiral calix[4]arene derivatives. The receptors have been found to act as carriers for transport of aromatic amino acid methylesters from the aqueous source phase to the aqueous receiving phase. The transport rate and L/D selectivity of amino acid esters studied depend strongly upon the structure of the chiral receptors and guests. The best enantioselectivity was obtained in the case of phenylglycine methyl ester for all chiral carriers.  相似文献

[structure: see text] 2-C-Acetoxymethyl glycal derivatives reacted with beta-naphthol in the presence of InCl(3) (30 mol %) to give chiral pyrano[2,3-b]naphtho[1,2-e]pyrans in good to excellent yields via stereoselective Ferrier rearrangement-tandem cyclization. The major glucose-derived product exhibited crystal packing with C-H...O and C-H...pi (arene) interactions and the major galactose-derived product, a low molecular mass organogelator (LMOG), formed a rare type of micro tubular gel assembly in n-hexane.  相似文献

Atroposelective arene formation is an efficient method to build axially chiral molecules with multi‐substituted arenes. Reported here is an organocatalyzed atroposelective arene formation reaction by an N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) catalyzed formal [4+2] cycloaddition of conjugated dienals and α‐aryl ketones. This study expands the synthetic potential of NHC organocatalysis and provides a competitive pathway for the synthesis of axially chiral ligands, catalysts, and other functional molecules.  相似文献

An inherently chiral calix[6]arene possessing a C2-symmetric A-B-H substitution pattern was synthesized via a two step process starting from the parent hexa-t-butylcalix[6]arene. The racemic, inherently chiral compound exists as a single isomer with the 1,4-alternate conformation. The inherent chirality was confirmed by treatment of the racemic compound with Pirkle’s reagent to form diastereomeric complexes in solution.  相似文献

This paper describes our attempts to synthesize inherently chiral heteroatom-bridged calixaromatics. Based on a stepwise fragment-coupling approach using a chiral 3,5-dihydroxybenzamide or benzoate, 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone, and cyanuric chloride as reactants, chiral tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine derivatives 16 and 17 were synthesized in good yields. Subsequent macrocyclic condensation with a diamine 6 furnished efficiently the pairs of diastereomers of inherently chiral tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine azacrowns 18 and 19.  相似文献

Chiral pseudo[1]rotaxanes and [1]rotaxanes constructed from macrocyclic arenes still remain a big challenge mainly owing to the lack of such chiral macrocycles. In this work, a new system of chiral pseudo[1]rotaxanes formed by self-inclusion of helic[6]arene containing amide linked with the terminal tertiary amines was first discovered. Based on an atom-economic stopping strategy, a pair of chiral [1]rotaxanes were conveniently obtained in almost quantitative yields by blocking the pseudo[1]rotaxanes with monobenzyl bromide of tetraphenylethene. The structures of pseudo[1]rotaxanes and [1]rotaxanes were characterized by 2D NMR spectra in solution, combined with DFT calculations. The photophysical properties further revealed the efficient chirality transfer of helic[6]arene to the tetraphenylethene moiety, compared to their unthreaded chiral isomers. The discovery of the chiral pseudo[1]rotaxanes allows for a wide and available synthesis of chiral [1]rotaxanes, and also opening a new avenue to the design of chiral supramolecular materials.  相似文献

Naphthyl tetrahydroisoquinoline alkaloids, atropisomeric korupensamines A and B and ent-korupensamine B, were synthesized by syn-selective cross-coupling of a planar chiral arene chromium complex with naphthylboronic acid and subsequent axial isomerization or tricarbonylchromium migration to the inverted arene face as a key step. Palladium(0)-catalyzed cross-coupling of planar chiral arene chromium complex 12 with naphthylboronic acid 9 gave syn-biaryl coupling product 13. syn-Biaryl chromium complex 13 was heated in 1:1 mixture of di-n-butyl ether and 1,2-dichloroethane to give a face-inverted anti-biaryl chromium complex 14 without axial isomerization. Korupensamine A was synthesized from the syn-biaryl chromium complex 13 via o-formyl syn-biaryl chromium complex 10, and ent-korupensamine B was prepared from the face-inverted anti-biaryl chromium complex 14. On the other hand, difluoro-substituted syn-biaryl chromium complex 40 with a formyl group afforded anti-biaryl chromium complex 41 containing a rotated central bond by heating in xylene. The chromium-complexed fluorine atom was easily substituted with an isopropoxy group by nucleophilic substitution. Use of these reactions allowed (+)-2-bromo-3,5-difluorobenzaldehyde chromium complex (37) as a single chiral source to be converted to atropisomeric korupensamines A and B, respectively.  相似文献

The molybdenum‐catalyzed asymmetric ring‐closing metathesis of the various Cs‐symmetric (π‐arene)chromium substrates provides the corresponding bridged planar‐chiral (π‐arene)chromium complexes in excellent yields with up to >99 % ee. With a bulky and unsymmetrical substituent, such as N‐indolyl or 1‐naphthyl, at the 2‐positions of the η6‐1,3‐diisopropenylbenzene ligands, both biaryl‐based axial chirality and π‐arene‐based planar chirality are simultaneously induced in the products. The axial chirality is retained even after the removal of the dicarbonylchromium fragment, and the chiral biaryl/heterobiaryl compounds are obtained with complete retention of the enantiopurity.  相似文献
