For fixed 1≦p<∞ theL p-semi-norms onR n are identified with positive linear functionals on the closed linear subspace ofC(R n ) spanned by the functions |<ξ, ·>| p , ξ∈R n . For every positive linear functional σ, on that space, the function Φσ:R n R given by Φσ is anL p-semi-norm and the mapping σ→Φσ is 1-1 and onto. The closed linear span of |<ξ, ·>| p , ξ∈R n is the space of all even continuous functions that are homogeneous of degreep, ifp is not an even integer and is the space of all homogeneous polynomials of degreep whenp is an even integer. This representation is used to prove that there is no finite list of norm inequalities that characterizes linear isometric embeddability, in anyL p unlessp=2. We use variational methods to obtain a pointwise estimate near a boundary point for quasisubminimizers of the p-energy integral and other integral functionals in doubling metric measure spaces admitting a p-Poincaré inequality. It implies a Wiener type condition necessary for boundary regularity for p-harmonic functions on metric spaces, as well as for (quasi)minimizers of various integral functionals and solutions of nonlinear elliptic equations on R n .  相似文献

The d-dimensional classical Hardy spaces Hp(T d) are introduced and it is shown that the maximal operator of the Riemann sums of a distribution is bounded from Hp(T d) to Lp(T 2) (d/(d+1)<p≤∞) and is of weak type (1,1) provided that the supremum in the maximal operator is taken over a positive cone. The same is proved for the conjugate Riemann sums. As a consequence we obtain that every function f∈L1(T d) is a. e. The Calderón-Mitjagin theorem characterizes all interpolation spaces of the pair of Lebesgue spaces (L 1,L ) as the rearrangement-invariant spaces. The results of this paper show that the interpolation spaces ofH 1(R) andL (R) consist of elements whose nontangential maximal functions lie in rearrangement-invariant spaces.Communicated by Jaak Peetre.  相似文献

Let Γ be a regular curve and Lp(Γ),1<p<+∞, be the class of all complex-valued functions f defined on Γ which are such that |f|p is integrable in sense of Lebesgue. In this work, we define the kth p-Faber polynomial Fk.p(z), the kth p-Faber principle part ≈Fk.p(1/z) for Γ, and defined the nth p-Faber-Laurent rational function Rn,p(f, z) and p-generalized modulus of continuity Ωp of a function f of Lp(Γ). We investigate some properties of Fk.p(z) and ≈Fk.p(1/z). And then we prove a direct theorem characterizing the degree of approximation with respect to Ωp in the mean of functions of Lp(Γ) by the rational functions Rn.p(.,z).  相似文献

In this article we study the problem of extending Fourier Multipliers on L p (T) to those on L p (R) by taking convolution with a kernel, called a summability kernel. We characterize the space of such kernels for the cases p = 1 and p = 2. For other values of p we give a necessary condition for a function to be a summability kernel. For the case p = 1, we present properties of measures which are transferred from M(T) to M(R) by summability kernels. Furthermore it is shown that every l p sequence can be extended to some L q (R) multipliers for certain values of p and q.  相似文献

The main results of the paper are: (1) The boundedness of singular integral operators in the variable exponent Lebesgue spaces L p(·)(Γ, w) on a class of composed Carleson curves Γ where the weights w have a finite set of oscillating singularities. The proof of this result is based on the boundedness of Mellin pseudodifferential operators on the spaces Lp(·)(\mathbbR +,dm){L^{p(\cdot )}(\mathbb{R} _{+},d\mu)} where dμ is an invariant measure on multiplicative group ${\mathbb{R}_{+}=\left\{r\in \mathbb{R}:r >0 \right\}}${\mathbb{R}_{+}=\left\{r\in \mathbb{R}:r >0 \right\}}. (2) Criterion of local invertibility of singular integral operators with piecewise slowly oscillating coefficients acting on L p(·)(Γ, w) spaces. We obtain this criterion from the corresponding criteria of local invertibility at the point 0 of Mellin pseudodifferential operators on \mathbbR+{\mathbb{R}_{+}} and local invertibility of singular integral operators on \mathbbR{\mathbb{R}}. (3) Criterion of Fredholmness of singular integral operators in the variable exponent Lebesgue spaces L p(·)(Γ, w) where Γ belongs to a class of composed Carleson curves slowly oscillating at the nodes, and the weight w has a finite set of slowly oscillating singularities.  相似文献

This is a final step in solving the problem of recognition of the simple groups L 3(p k) by element orders. It is proven that when L 3(p k) acts on an elementary abelian p-group, there always appears an element of new order. A model is proposed for constructing the absolutely irreducible p-modular representations of L 3(p k) in polynomial spaces.  相似文献

We study the localization properties of generalized functions defined on a broad class of spaces of entire analytic test functions. This class, which includes all Gelfand-Shilov spaces S α β (R k ) with β < 1, provides a convenient language for describing quantum fields with a highly singular infrared behavior. We show that the carrier cone notion, which replaces the support notion, can be correctly defined for the considered analytic functionals. Let (Ω, , μ) be a measure space, a separable Banach space, and * the space of all bounded conjugate linear functionals on . Let f be a weak* summable positive B( *)-valued function defined on Ω. The existence of a separable Hilbert space , a weakly measurable B( )-valued function Q satisfying the relation Q*(ω)Q(ω) = f(ω) is proved. This result is used to define the Hilbert space L2,f of square integrable operator-valued functions with respect to f. It is shown that for B+( *)-valued measures, the concepts of weak*, weak, and strong countable additivity are all the same. Connections with stochastic processes are explained.  相似文献

In this paper, we determine the exact value of average n − K width n(Wrpq(R), Lq(R)) of Sobolev-Wiener class Wrpq(R) in the metric Lq(R) for 1 > qp > ∞ and get the value of n(Wrp(R), Lqp(R)) for the dual case. We give a functional calculus formula for infinitesimal generators of holomorphic semigroups of operators on Banach spaces, which involves the Bochner–Riesz kernels of such generators. The rate of smoothness of operating functions is related to the exponent of the growth on vertical lines of the operator norm of the semigroup. The strength of the formula is tested on Poisson and Gauss semigroups inL1(Rn) andL1(G), for a stratified Lie groupG. We give also a self-contained theory of smooth absolutely continuous functions on the half line [0, ∞).  相似文献

We study necessary and sufficient conditions for embeddings of Besov and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces of generalized smoothness B(n/p,Y)p,q(\mathbbRn)B^{(n/p,\Psi)}_{p,q}(\mathbb{R}^{n}) and F(n/p,Y)p,q(\mathbbRn)F^{(n/p,\Psi)}_{p,q}(\mathbb{R}^{n}), respectively, into generalized H?lder spaces L¥,rm(·)( \mathbb Rn)\Lambda_{\infty,r}^{\mu(\cdot)}(\ensuremath {\ensuremath {\mathbb {R}}^{n}}). In particular, we are able to characterize optimal embeddings for this class of spaces provided q>1. These results improve the embedding assertions given by the continuity envelopes of B(n/p,Y)p,q(\mathbbRn)B^{(n/p,\Psi)}_{p,q}(\mathbb{R}^{n}) and F(n/p,Y)p,q(\mathbbRn)F^{(n/p,\Psi)}_{p,q}(\mathbb{R}^{n}), which were obtained recently solving an open problem of D.D. Haroske in the classical setting.  相似文献
