In this paper, the Fokas unified method is used to analyze the initial-boundary value for the Chen- Lee-Liu equation
$i{\partial _t}u + {\partial_{xx}u - i |u{|^2}{\partial _x}u = 0}$
on the half line (?∞, 0] with decaying initial value. Assuming that the solution u(x, t) exists, we show that it can be represented in terms of the solution of a matrix Riemann-Hilbert problem formulated in the plane of the complex spectral parameter λ. The jump matrix has explicit (x, t) dependence and is given in terms of the spectral functions {a(λ), b(λ)} and {A(λ), B(λ)}, which are obtained from the initial data u0(x) = u(x, 0) and the boundary data g0(t) = u(0, t), g1(t) = ux(0, t), respectively. The spectral functions are not independent, but satisfy a so-called global relation.

We consider the nonlinear Schr¨odinger equation-?u +(λa(x) + 1)u = |u|~(p-1) u on a locally finite graph G =(V, E). We prove via the Nehari method that if a(x) satisfies certain assumptions, for any λ 1, the equation admits a ground state solution uλ. Moreover, as λ→∞, the solution uλconverges to a solution of the Dirichlet problem-?u + u = |u|~(p-1) u which is defined on the potential well ?. We also provide a numerical experiment which solves the equation on a finite graph to illustrate our results.  相似文献

We study a mixed problem for the wave equation with integrable potential and with two-point boundary conditions of distinct orders for the case in which the corresponding spectral problem may have multiple spectrum. Based on the resolvent approach in the Fourier method and the Krylov convergence acceleration trick for Fourier series, we obtain a classical solution u(x, t) of this problem under minimal constraints on the initial condition u(x, 0) = ?(x). We use the Carleson–Hunt theorem to prove the convergence almost everywhere of the formal solution series in the limit case of ?(x) ∈ L p[0, 1], p > 1, and show that the formal solution is a generalized solution of the problem.  相似文献

We investigate the problem (P λ) ?Δu = λb(x)|u| q?2 u + a(x)|u| p?2 u in Ω, ?u/?n = 0 on ?Ω, where Ω is a bounded smooth domain in R N (N ≥ 2), 1 < q < 2 < p, λ ∈ R, and a, b\({C^\alpha }\left( {\overline \Omega } \right)\) with 0 < α < 1. Under certain indefinite type conditions on a and b, we prove the existence of two nontrivial nonnegative solutions for small |λ|. We then characterize the asymptotic profiles of these solutions as λ → 0, which in some cases implies the positivity and ordering of these solutions. In addition, this asymptotic analysis suggests the existence of a loop type component in the non-negative solutions set. We prove the existence of such a component in certain cases, via a bifurcation and a topological analysis of a regularized version of (P λ).  相似文献

In this paper we present a new algorithm for solving polynomial equations based on the Taylor series of the inverse function of a polynomial, f P (y). The foundations of the computing of such series have been previously developed by the authors in some recent papers, proceeding as follows: given a polynomial function \(y=P(x)=a_0+a_1x+\cdots+a_mx^m\), with \(a_i \in \mathcal{R}, 0 \leq i \leq m\), and a real number u so that P′(u)?≠?0, we have got an analytic function f P (y) that satisfies x?=?f P (P(x)) around x?=?u. Besides, we also introduce a new proof (completely different) of the theorems involves in the construction of f P (y), which provide a better radius of convergence of its Taylor series, and a more general perspective that could allow its application to other kinds of equations, not only polynomials. Finally, we illustrate with some examples how f P (y) could be used for solving polynomial systems. This question has been already treated by the authors in preceding works in a very complex and hard way, that we want to overcome by using the introduced algorithm in this paper.  相似文献

Using the method of spectral analysis, for the mixed type equation uxx + (sgny)uyy = 0 in a rectangular domain we establish a criterion of uniqueness of its solution satisfying periodicity conditions by the variable x, a nonlocal condition, and a boundary condition. The solution is constructed as the sum of a series in eigenfunctions for the corresponding one-dimensional spectral problem. At the investigation of convergence of the series, the problem of small denominators occurs. Under certain restrictions on the parameters of the problem and the functions, included in the boundary conditions, we prove uniform convergence of the constructed series and stability of the solution under perturbations of these functions.  相似文献

We are concerned with the existence of least energy solutions of nonlinear Schrödinger equations involving the fractional Laplacian
$$\begin{array}{*{20}c} {( - \Delta )^s u(x) + \lambda V(x)u(x) = u(x)^{p - 1} ,} & {u(x) \geqslant 0,} & {x \in \mathbb{R}^N ,} \\ \end{array} $$
for sufficiently large λ, 2 < p < \(\frac{{2N}}{{N - 2s}}\) for N ≥ 2. V (x) is a real continuous function on RN. Using variational methods we prove the existence of least energy solution u λ(x) which localizes near the potential well int V ?1(0) for λ large. Moreover, if the zero sets int V ?1(0) of V (x) include more than one isolated component, then u λ(x) will be trapped around all the isolated components. However, in Laplacian case s = 1, when the parameter λ is large, the corresponding least energy solution will be trapped around only one isolated component and become arbitrarily small in other components of int V ?1(0). This is the essential difference with the Laplacian problems since the operator (?Δ)s is nonlocal.

This paper is devoted to a study of L~q-tracing of the fractional temperature field u(t, x)—the weak solution of the fractional heat equation(?_t +(-?_x)~α)u(t, x) = g(t, x) in L~p(R_+~(1+n)) subject to the initial temperature u(0, x) = f(x) in L~p(R~n).  相似文献

Let G =(V,E) be a locally finite graph, whose measure μ(x) has positive lower bound, and A be the usual graph Laplacian.Applying the mountain-pass theorem due to Ambrosetti and Rabinowitz(1973),we establish existence results for some nonlinear equations, namely △u+hu=f(x,u),x∈V.In particular,we prove that if h and f satisfy certain assumptions, then the above-mentioned equation has strictly positive solutions. Also,we consider existence of positive solutions of the perturbed equation △u+hu=f(x,u)+∈g.Similar problems have been extensively studied on the Euclidean space as well as on Riemannian manifolds.  相似文献

For the equation χ″(x) = u(x)χ(x) with infinitely smooth u(x), the general solution χ(x) is found in the form of a power series. The coefficients of the series are expressed via all derivatives u (m)(y) of the function u(x) at a fixed point y. Examples of solutions for particular functions u(x) are considered.  相似文献

New methods for obtaining representations of solutions of the Cauchy problem for linear evolution equations, i.e., equations of the form u t '(t, x) = Lu(t, x), where the operator L is linear and depends only on the spatial variable x and does not depend on time t, are proposed. A solution of the Cauchy problem, that is, the exponential of the operator tL, is found on the basis of constructions proposed by the author combined with Chernoff’s theorem on strongly continuous operator semigroups.  相似文献

Given a class \(\mathcal{F(\theta)}\) of differential equations with arbitrary element θ, the problems of symmetry group, nonclassical symmetry and conservation law classifications are to determine for each member \(f\in\mathcal{F(\theta)}\) the structure of its Lie symmetry group G f , conditional symmetry Q f and conservation law \(\mathop {\rm CL}\nolimits _{f}\) under some proper equivalence transformations groups. In this paper, an extensive investigation of these three aspects is carried out for the class of variable coefficient (1+1)-dimensional nonlinear telegraph equations with coefficients depending on the space variable f(x)u tt =(g(x)H(u)u x ) x +h(x)K(u)u x . The usual equivalence group and the extended one including transformations which are nonlocal with respect to arbitrary elements are first constructed. Then using the technique of variable gauges of arbitrary elements under equivalence transformations, we restrict ourselves to the symmetry group classifications for the equations with two different gauges g=1 and g=h. In order to get the ultimate classification, the method of furcate split is also used and consequently a number of new interesting nonlinear invariant models which have non-trivial invariance algebra are obtained. As an application, exact solutions for some equations which are singled out from the classification results are constructed by the classical method of Lie reduction. The classification of nonclassical symmetries for the classes of differential equations with gauge g=1 is discussed within the framework of singular reduction operator. This enabled to obtain some exact solutions of the nonlinear telegraph equation which are invariant under certain conditional symmetries.Using the direct method, we also carry out two classifications of local conservation laws up to equivalence relations generated by both usual and extended equivalence groups. Equivalence with respect to these groups and correct choice of gauge coefficients of equations play the major role for simple and clear formulation of the final results.  相似文献

For some classes of one-dimensional nonlinear wave equations, solutions are Hölder continuous and the ODEs for characteristics admit multiple solutions. Introducing an additional conservation equation and a suitable set of transformed variables, one obtains a new ODE whose right hand side is either Lipschitz continuous or has directionally bounded variation. In this way, a unique characteristic can be singled out through each initial point. This approach yields the uniqueness of conservative solutions to various equations, including the Camassa-Holm and the variational wave equation utt ? c(u)(c(u)ux )x = 0, for general initial data in H1(R).  相似文献

The paper is devoted to studying the space of nonempty closed convex (but not necessarily compact) sets in ? n , a dynamical system of translations, and existence theorems for differential inclusions. We make this space complete by equipping it with the Hausdorff-Bebutov metric. The investigation of these issues is important for certain problems of optimal control of asymptotic characteristics of a control system. For example, the problem \(\dot x = A(t,u)x\), (u, x) ∈ ? m+n , λ n (u(·))→ min, where λ n (u(·)) is the largest Lyapunov exponent of the system {ie121-2} = A(t, u)x, leads to a differential inclusion with a noncompact right-hand side.  相似文献

In this paper, the authors prove the weighted boundedness of singular integral and fractional integral with a rough kernel on the weighted λ-central Morrey space. Moreover, the weighted estimate for commutators of singular integral with a rough kernel on the weighted λ-central Morrey space is also given.  相似文献

We consider the quasilinear Schrödinger equations of the form ?ε2Δu + V(x)u ? ε2Δ(u2)u = g(u), x∈ RN, where ε > 0 is a small parameter, the nonlinearity g(u) ∈ C1(R) is an odd function with subcritical growth and V(x) is a positive Hölder continuous function which is bounded from below, away from zero, and infΛV(x) < inf?ΛV(x) for some open bounded subset Λ of RN. We prove that there is an ε0 > 0 such that for all ε ∈ (0, ε0], the above mentioned problem possesses a sign-changing solution uε which exhibits concentration profile around the local minimum point of V(x) as ε → 0+.  相似文献

Lie point symmetries associated with the new (2+1)-dimensional KdV equation ut + 3uxuy + uxxy = 0 are investigated. Some similarity reductions are derived by solving the corresponding characteristic equations. Painlevé analysis for this equation is also presented and the soliton solution is obtained directly from the Bǎcklund transformation.  相似文献

The paper looks for the solutions of integro-differential equations of the form
$ - \frac{{d\varphi }}{{dx}} + A\varphi (x) = g(x) + B\int_\mathbb{R} {k(x - t)\lambda (t)\varphi (t)dt, x \in \mathbb{R}} $
in the class of functions which are absolutely continuous and of slow growth on ?. It is assumed that A and B are nonnegative parameters, 0 ≤ gL 1 (?), 0 ≤ kL 1 (?), ∫? k(x) dx = 1 and 0 ≤ λ(x) ≤ 1 is a measurable function in ?. The equation is solved by a special factorization of the corresponding integro-differential operator in combination with appropriately modified standard methods of the theory of convolution type integral equations.

The paper derives and investigates the Jacobi methods for the generalized eigenvalue problem A x = λ B x, where A is a symmetric and B is a symmetric positive definite matrix. The methods first “normalize” B to have the unit diagonal and then maintain that property during the iterative process. The global convergence is proved for all such methods. That result is obtained for the large class of generalized serial strategies from Hari and Begovi? Kova? (Trans. Numer. Anal. (ETNA) 47, 107–147, 2017). Preliminary numerical tests confirm a high relative accuracy of some of those methods, provided that both matrices are positive definite and the spectral condition numbers of Δ A AΔ A and Δ B BΔ B are small, for some nonsingular diagonal matrices Δ A and Δ B .  相似文献

We find the general form of solutions of the integral equation ∫k(t ? s)u1(s) ds = u2(t) of the convolution type for the pair of unknown functions u1 and u2 in the class of compactly supported continuously differentiable functions under the condition that the kernel k(t) has the Fourier transform \(\widetilde {{P_2}}\), where \(\widetilde {{P_1}}\) and \(\widetilde {{P_2}}\) are polynomials in the exponential eiτx, τ > 0, with coefficients polynomial in x. If the functions \({P_l}\left( x \right) = \widetilde {{P_l}}\left( {{e^{i\tau x}}} \right)\), l = 1, 2, have no common zeros, then the general solution in Fourier transforms has the form Ul(x) = Pl(x)R(x), l = 1, 2, where R(x) is the Fourier transform of an arbitrary compactly supported continuously differentiable function r(t).  相似文献
