In a typical superconducting coil made of BSCCO/Ag tape, both amplitude and direction of the magnetic field determine the critical current, resistive voltage and AC loss. The distribution of the magnetic field along and across the superconducting tape in a coil is rather complex. This gives rise to the question: how accurate can one predict the critical current, VI characteristic and AC loss of the AC coil from results of short sample measurements? To answer this question, we have measured and compared the characteristics of a short sample and a small coil employing 14 m of the same tape at 77 K. The comparison is performed as follows. First, a short sample is characterised with regard to the field dependence of the critical current, VI characteristic and the AC loss. Second, the distribution of the magnetic field along the tape in a coil is accurately calculated. From the data, the voltage along the tape and the loss of the tape in the coil are found. Finally, the resistive voltage and the AC loss of the complete coil are calculated and compared to measured AC losses in the frequency range of 0 to 160 Hz, typical for power applications.  相似文献

超导磁体的场强与超导材料的载流能力、磁体口径和低温环境有密切关系.为了在中高温区域实现高磁场强度的超导磁体,采用国产第二代高温超导带材,成功绕制出内直径为100 mm的高温超导线圈.该超导线圈在77,65,55和46 K不同温区下进行了性能测试,其最大运行电流分别为65,147,257和338 A,对应的中心磁场强度分别为0.78,1.77,3.1和4.08 T.所研制的超导线圈的中平面上磁场基本一致.  相似文献

测量了高温超导导线Bi-2223/Ag的临界电流值与外加磁场的依赖性关系.实验结果表明:超导线材的临界电流不仅与磁场大小有关,而且还与外磁场的方向有关.外磁场越大,临界电流值越小;Bi-2223/Ag呈扁带状,临界电流对磁场的依赖性呈现各向异性.该实验与高温超导材料临界温度测量实验结合为高温超导电性能综合测试实验,为学生自主研究提供了拓展空间.  相似文献

The effect of thermal disturbances and nonsuperconducting defects on the microwave breakdown of a high-temperature superconducting film is investigated theoretically. The dependence of the critical energy of thermal disturbances on the surface microwave field is obtained. It is shown that in a wide range of values of the surface microwave field the critical energy of local disturbances is less than the critical energy of spatially extended disturbances. It is established that microwave breakdown on defects may be preceded by a stage of formation of a finite-size normal-phase region localized at the defect. The effect of the form and absorption coefficient of the defect on scenarios leading to the destruction of superconductivity and on the microwave breakdown field of a film at a defect are investigated. In this paper, an equivalent electrical circuit for response of a high-temperature superconductor (HTS) system for arbitrary time varying transport current is considered and as well as an analysis of the generated resistance losses is given. Also, for the pancake coil made with superconducting Bi-2223/AgMg tape, hysteresis behavior on the voltage-current curve is examined as a function of the current rate during ramp up and down at liquid nitrogen temperature. 为了验证覆铝卢瑟福超导线缆的绕制工艺,在实验型μ子源(EMuS)超导俘获线圈样机正式生产前,须完成截面相同的300 mm短样模型线圈的研制和测试。本文介绍了EMuS超导俘获线圈样机模型线圈绕制生产线搭建、线圈绕制、线圈装配和VPI等工艺流程,并对VPI后的模型线圈进行了切割取样和测试,结果表明:模型线圈切片的线缆排列整齐、紧密,无气孔、干绝缘等缺陷;绝缘的电学性能和机械强度满足设计要求,模型线圈的绕制工艺满足EMuS超导俘获线圈样机制造的工程需求。  相似文献

传统的铜电流引线因为在低温区的漏热过大,需要改造成漏热量低的高温超导电流引线。本设计主要针对一对200A和两对80A铜电流引线。通过计算得出了高温超导电流引线的最佳长横比,以及结构在不同低温区的收缩率,并用对电流引线组改造前后做了漏热的分析对比。结果表明,改造后的电流引线组4.5K温区的漏热量降低到未改造前的3.18%,大大降低了系统液氦温区热负荷,降低了运行成本。  相似文献

In this Letter, we present resonance properties in terahertz metamaterials consisting of a split-ring resonator array made from high-temperature superconducting films. By varying the temperature, we observe efficient metamaterial resonance switching and frequency tuning. The results are well reproduced by numerical simulations of metamaterial resonance using the experimentally measured complex conductivity of the superconducting film. We develop a theoretical model that explains the tuning features, which takes into account the resistive resonance damping and additional split-ring inductance contributed from both the real and imaginary parts of the temperature-dependent complex conductivity. The theoretical model further predicts more efficient resonance tuning in metamaterials consisting of a thinner superconducting split-ring resonator array, which are also verified in subsequent experiments.  相似文献

The electron thermal flux and electron thermal conductivity of the interface between a normal metal and a high-temperature superconductor (HTSC) are calculated using quasiclassical equations. Calculations are made for various values of the interface transparency and various orientations of the axes of a HTSC crystal. It was shown that compared with an interface between a normal metal and an “ordinary” superconductor (s-type symmetry, isotropic order parameter), the thermal conductivity of an HTSC-normal-metal interface is substantially higher and has a nonactivation dependence. The thermal properties were calculated for various interface models, including mirror and diffuse, and also for various potential barrier profiles. An analysis is made of the possibility of using devices based on normal-metal-HTSC interfaces for bolometric and microrefrigerator applications.  相似文献

A two-gap floating resonant strip is used for characterization of the high-temperature superconductor, YBa2Cu3O7–. The method has the advantages of simplicity, no electrical contact, operation at various resonant frequencies, and of requiring only a small sample. An analysis was devised that allows for the accurate design of the strip dimensions to produce a desired resonant frequency. Experimental measurements in X and Kuband (8–18 GHz) agree well with the calculations. The sensitivities of the circuit to positional errors and size variations of the resonant strip were investigated. The surface resistance was measured and compared favorably with the theory.  相似文献

The superconducting parameters and macrostructure of YBaCuO thin films grown by laser ablation on SrTiO3 substrates are influenced by the substrate temperature during growth. In a study of this influence it is found that the macrostructure has significant bearing on the superconducting parameters of the films and on the critical current, in particular. For J c⩽105 A/cm2 the films have a distinctly pronounced granular structure, while for J c>105 A/cm2 the films do not have any kind of block structure. Zh. Tekh. We present the design process of a superconducting volume coil for magnetic resonance microscopy of the mouse brain at 9.4T. The yttrium barium copper oxide coil has been designed through an iterative process of three-dimensional finite-element simulations and validation against room temperature copper coils. Compared to previous designs, the Helmholtz pair provides substantially higher B(1) homogeneity over an extended volume of interest sufficiently large to image biologically relevant specimens. A custom-built cryogenic cooling system maintains the superconducting probe at 60+/-0.1K. Specimen loading and probe retuning can be carried out interactively with the coil at operating temperature, enabling much higher through-put. The operation of the probe is a routine, consistent procedure. Signal-to-noise ratio in a mouse brain increased by a factor ranging from 1.1 to 2.9 as compared to a room-temperature solenoid coil optimized for mouse brain microscopy. We demonstrate images encoded at 10x10x20mum for an entire mouse brain specimen with signal-to-noise ratio of 18 and a total acquisition time of 16.5h, revealing neuroanatomy unseen at lower resolution. Phantom measurements show an effective spatial resolution better than 20mum.  相似文献
