TheE2 transition at 1.78 MeV and the strongM1 transition at (11.42±0.02) MeV (measured excitation energy) in Si28 have been studied by inelastic electron scattering at the Darmstadt linear accelerator. Primary energies between 30 and 56 MeV, and scattering angles from 104° to 165° were used. In Born approximation, the following radiation widths to the ground state have been deduced: (1.21±0.17) · 10?3eV (1.78 MeV,E2), and (32.4±4.5)eV (11.4 MeV,M1). Transition radii have been determined from the dependence of transition probability on momentum transfer.  相似文献

The hydrogen atom in two dimensions, described by a Schrödinger equation with a Chern-Simons potential, is numerically solved. Both its wavefunctions and eigenvalues were determined for small values of the principal quantum number n. The only possible states correspond to l = 0. How the result depends on the topological mass of the photon is also discussed. In the case n = 1, the energy of the fundamental state, corresponding to different choice for the photon mass scale, are found to be comprehended in the interval ?3.5 × 10-3 eV ≤ E ≤ ?9.0 × 10?2 eV, corresponding to a mean radius of the electron in the range (5.637 ± 0.005) × 10?8 cm ≤ ?r? ≤ (48.87 ± 0.03) × 10-8 cm. In any case, the planar atom is found to be very weekly bounded showing some features similar to the Rydberg atoms in three dimensions with a Coulombian interaction.  相似文献

Crystals of cerium aluminate with perovskite structure were obtained using the cold-crucible technique. The electrical and optical properties of cerium aluminate were studied in air in the range 300–1300 K. The main characteristics of CeAlO3 at T=300 K are a follows: electrical conductivity σ=10?7 S/cm, dielectric permittivity ?=3000–10000 (both measured at a frequency of 1000 Hz), thermal band-gap width ΔE=2.3±0.5 eV, and optical width δE=2.65±0.25 eV, which decreases at a rate of ?0.62×10?3 eV/K with increasing temperature in the 300-to 1500-K interval.  相似文献

The anionic conductivity of HoF3 single crystals with a β-YF3 structure (orthorhombic crystal system, space group Pnma) is investigated over a wide range of temperatures (323–1073 K). The unit cell parameters of HoF3 crystals are as follows: a=0.6384±0.0009 nm, b=0.6844±0.0009 nm, and c=0.4356±0.0005 nm. It is revealed that the conductivity anisotropy of the HoF3 crystals is insignificant over the entire temperature range covered. The crossover from one mechanism of ion transfer to another mechanism is observed near the critical temperature Tc≈620 K. The activation enthalpy of electrical conduction is found to be ΔH1=0.744 eV at T<Tc and ΔH2=0.43 eV at T>Tc. The fluorine vacancies are the most probable charge carriers in HoF3 crystals. The fluorine ionic conductivities at temperatures of 323, 500, and 1073 K are equal to 5×10?10, 5×10?6, and 2×10?3 S cm?1, respectively.  相似文献

Excitation of the transitions from the even levels of a singly charged ytterbium ion that terminate on the low-lying odd levels 4f 13(2 F°)6s 2 2 F°, 4f 14(1 S)6p 2 P°, and 4f 13(2 F°7/2)5d6p(3 D)3[3/2]° is experimentally studied by measuring 51 excitation cross sections at an electron energy of 50 eV, and 16 optical excitation functions are determined within the electron energy range 0–200 eV. The largest magnitudes of the measured cross sections exceed 3 × 10?17 cm2.  相似文献

A swarm of electrons passing a KBr-crystal has been investigated by fast oscilloscopic techniques at high electric fields (3×104 to 4×105 V/cm). From the temporal current shape we determined the electron drift mobilityμ=15±2 cm2/Vsec, the electron life timeτ=2±0.3 × 10?7 sec and the multiplication factor. From this measurement the ionization coefficientα for electrons was calculated as a function of the applied electric field.  相似文献

The theoretical differential cross section for the elastic scattering and for the excitation of optical transitions in helium by electron impact has been refined in Born approximation by use of the two parameter Eckart eigenfunction for the ground state and for the excited states. The angular distributions of 25 kev electrons scattered elastically and inelastically by helium were measured in the angular range 2·3·10?4?≦4·10?2. The intensity distribution of the elastically scattered electrons is in accordance with the theoretical curve for?>7·10?3 and is disturbed at smaller angles by the primary beam. Normalization of the experimental values to the theoretical elastic differential cross section leads to agreement between the experimental differential cross section for the excitation of the 21 P and 31 P state and the scattering formulae given in this paper. There are small systematic deviations (<20%) for the 21 P differential cross section in the angular range 3·10?3<?<1·10?2 only. The oscillator strength of these two transitions has been determined from the scattering measurements:f 21=0·312±0·04 andf 31=0·0898±0·006.  相似文献

The excitation of even levels of erbium atoms by slow electrons that occurs without a change in the number of electrons in the 4f shell is experimentally studied. The levels investigated belong to the 4f 126s7s, 4f 125d6s, 4f 126s6d configurations. The cross sections measured at an electron energy of 30 eV lie within the range (0.2–18) × 10?18 cm2.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of spectral distribution of photoconductivity was measured on evaporated polycrystalline layers of lead-selenide in the range from 80 to 300 °K. The method ofBardeen, Blatt andHall was used, to calculate the band gap for direct and indirect transitions. A linear positive temperature coefficient was obtained for both transitions. The spins of several excited states of Er166 have been investigated byγγ-angular correlation measurements. The spin sequence 0+, 2+, 4+, 6+ for the ground state rotational band was presumed to be correct. Unique assignments were derived for the states of 1076 keV, 1377 keV and 1785 keV asI=5, 7 and 6 respectively. These results are in agreement with the spins proposed byGallagher jr. andSoloviev. The multipolarities of theγ-transitions of 408 keV, 709 keV, 811 keV and 831 keV were derived as 95%E1+(5±1)%M2, 99·6%E1+(0·4±0·5)%M2, 99·1%E2+(0·9±0·3)%M1, and 96·1%E2+(3·9±1)%M1 respectively. The unusual mixing ratios of the transitions of 811 keV and 831 keV can be understood as a consequence of theK-selection rule. Eachγ-transition from the 1785 keV state should be stronglyK-forbidden and one expects a half-life ofT 1/2≈3·10?9s. A measurement of the time spectrum of the coincidences between theβ-radiation and the high energyγ-lines gave however:T 1/2(1785 keV state)≦3·10?10s. The rotation of the angular correlation between the 184 keV line and theγ-group at 820 keV has been measured in an external magnetic field of 53000 gauss as:ω·τ(4+)=0·083±0·006. This value contains small corrections for an additional rotation of the angular correlation of the 831 keV–184 keV triple cascade in the 6+state and for a small attenuation by internal fields. WithT 1/2(4+state)=1·23·10?10s, andβ=7·08 one gets for theg-factorg R=+0·266±0·024 in good agreement with recent results for the 2+ state.  相似文献

The decay of Xe131m was investigated in order to detect nuclear double decay processes, in which the transition energy is distributed either between twoγ-quanta or between oneγ-quantum and oneK-conversion electron or between twoK-conversion electrons. By analyzing the emittedγ-radiation in a two-dimensional way an upper limit of 2.2 · 10?5 was derived for the ratio of theγγ- toγ-transition probability. An investigation of theγ-spectrum in coincidence withK-quanta yielded an upper limit of 3 · 10?2 for the rate ofe Kγ-transitions relative toγ-transitions. The simultaneous emission of twoK-quanta was actually observed. These doubleK-quanta result either from the doubleK-conversion that was sought or from the internal conversion of the internal Compton-effect. For the doubleK-electron emission toγ-emission probability a value of (3.6±0.7) · 10?3 was obtained. TheK-conversion coefficient and the half-life of Xe131m were measured to be 32.1±0.4 and 11.94±0.04 d, respectively.  相似文献

The ground-state energy of three-particle Coulomb systems (trions) is investigated versus the masses of the particles involved. Variational calculations are performed for 34 asymmetric trions X±Y±Z? consisting of electrons, muons, pions, kaons, nuclei of hydrogen isotopes and their antiparticles, as well as for more than 100 auxiliary three-particle systems involving particles of masses chosen arbitrarily. Wide bases of Laguerre exponential-polynomial functions depending on perimetric particle coordinates are used. Approximate analytic formulas for the ground-state energies of all trions X±Y±Z? with arbitrary particle masses are constructed on the basis of the values found here for the energies of asymmetric trions and the values calculated previously for the energies of symmetric trions X±X±Z?. Particle-mass regions are determined where trions are stable with respect to dissociation. In addition to symmetric trions X±X±Z?, which are stable at any particle masses, asymmetric trions X±X±Z? possess the stability property if the masses of the particles X and Y exceed the mass of the particle Z, where, by Z, we mean, for example, an electron, a muon, a pion, or a kaon. The t+d+p? and t+d+d? combinations of hydrogen nuclei and antinuclei are also stable with respect to dissociation. The general properties of the ground-state trion energy as a function of the particle masses are discussed.  相似文献

In the decay of Fe59 the following quantities have been measured:γ-ray intensities, conversion coefficients andβ-(circularly polarizedγ) correlations. The conversion coefficients were found to be: for the 1.10 MeVγ-transition, αtot.=(1.36±0.10)·10?4 and for the 1.29 MeVγ-transition, αtot.=(1.07±0.08)·10?4. The asymmetry parameterA of the correlationβ(0.27 MeV)?γ(1.29 MeV) were measured to beA= ?0.17±0.10, and forβ(0.46 MeV)?γ(1.10 MeV),A=?0.13±0.04. From these data and publishedγ?γ angular correlation measurements the following spins of Co59 levels could be deduced: 1.10 MeV,I=5/2?; 1.29 MeV,I=5/2?; and 1.43 MeV,I=3/2?. The two strongβ-ray groups are pure Gamow-Teller transitions (ΔI=1). The multipolarities of all fiveγ-rays are given.  相似文献

Ratios of differential cross sections for elastic electron scattering from46Ti,48Ti and50Ti have been measured at 29 MeV and 58 MeV. A partial wave analysis, carried out for static Fermi-type nuclear charge distributions, yields differences of the r.m.s. radiiR m ofR m 48 ?R m 46 =(?0,005±0,027) fm andR m 50 ?R m 46 =(0,003±0,021) fm, if the skin thickness parameterz of the charge density is assumed to be constant. If allowance is made for a change inz ofΔz/z=±5% and ±10%, then the errors increase by ±0,013 fm and ±0,028 fm, respectively. This indicates a relatively small change in nuclear r.m.s. radii below the magic neutron number N=28.  相似文献

It is revealed that TlS single crystals exhibit a variable range hopping conduction along a normal to their natural layers at temperatures T ≤ 230 K in a dc electric field and a nonactivated hopping conduction at low temperatures in strong electric fields. Estimates are made for the density of states near the Fermi level (N F = 2.8 × 1020 eV?1 cm?3 and their energy spread (ΔW = 0.02 eV), the localization radius (a = 33 Å), the average jump distance in the region of activated (R av(T) = 40 Å) and nonactivated (R av(F) = 78 Å) hopping conduction, and also the drop in the charge carrier potential energy along the jump distance in an electric field F: eFR = 0.006 and 0.009 eV at F = 7.50 × 103 and 1.25 × 104 V/cm, respectively.  相似文献

The rotation of the angular correlation between theγ-group at about 820 keV and the 80 keV radiation in the decay of Tm168 has been observed in an external magnetic field of 20300 gauss. The result:ω R·τ=0,485±0,051 yields for theg R -factor of the 80 keV state of Er168:g R =+0,25±0,03. The evaluation includes a paramagnetic correction factor of:β=7,26, (B eff=β·B ext). The angular correlation is slightly attenuated by internal fields. For a liquid source of Tm (NO3)3 solved in 3 n HNO3, a measurement of the differential angular correlation as a function of the delay time gave:λ 2=(5,8±2,9)·107sec?1, assumingA 2(t)=A 2(0)·e ?λ 2·t. The half life of the 80 keV state was found to be:T 1/2=(1,92±0,04)·10?9sec in agreement with earlier measurements.  相似文献

An electric Molecular-Beam-Resonance-Spectrometer has been used to measure simultanously the Zeeman- and Starkeffect splitting of the hyperfinestructure of TlF. Electric fourpole lenses served as focusing and refocusing fields of the spectrometer. A homogenous magnetic field (Zeeman-Field) was superimposed to the electric field (Stark-Field) in the transition region of the apparatus. The observedΔm J =±1 -transitions were induced electrically. Completely resolved spectra of Tl205F19 in theJ=1 rotational, andυ=0 vibrational state have been measured. The obtained quantities are: The rotational magnetic momentμ J of Tl205F19 in the stateJ=1,υ=0, and the difference of the magnetic shielding (σ 1,±1?σ 1,0) of both nuclei as well as the difference of the molecular susceptibility (ξ 1,±1?ξ 1,0) in the states (J, m J)=(1,±1) and (J, mJ)=(1, 0). The sign of the rotational magnetic moment could be determined unambigously by the influence of offdiagonal matrix elements. The numerical values for Tl205F19 in the stateJ=1 andυ=0 are:μ J =?29,153(21) · 10?6 μ Bohr (σ 1,±1?σ 1,0)Tl=?0,002291 (33) (σ 1,±1?σ 1,0)F=?0,000206(9) (ξ 1,±1-ξ 1,0)=+3,02(15) · 10?30erg/Gauß2 The quantities in brackets are root-mean-square deviations in units of the last digit. From these data and the known values for the spin-rotational interaction constants a number of expressions are derived which characterise the electronic charge distribution in the molecule.  相似文献

Single-phase solid solutions of Sm2 ? x Ce x CuO4 + δ (0.05 ≤ x ≤ 0.20) with tetragonal structure are synthesized using acetate combustion followed by sintering at 1373 K for 10 h. X-ray powder diffraction and transmission electron microscopy studies confirmed the formation of solid solution in a single phase. Maximum conductivity (σ = 96.0 ± 0.5 S cm?1 at 973 K) giving composition Sm1.90Ce0.10CuO4 offers the minimum activation energy (E a = 0.32 ± 0.004 eV) among all prepared compositions. Lowest cathode polarization resistance (R p = 3.92 ± 0.07 Ω cm2 at 973 K) and activation energy (E a = 1.12 ± 0.03 eV) values across the measured temperature range are obtained for Sm1.90Ce0.10CuO4. The impedance data fitted well to the Gerischer model indicates that a chemical-electrochemical-chemical-type reaction occurred at the mixed electronic-ionic conducting cathode.  相似文献

Tb158m was produced from Tb159 by (n, 2n) reaction and investigated using scintillation spectrometers. The following results were obtained: half-life\(T_{\tfrac{1}{2}} = (10.5 \pm 0.2)\) sec; energy of the isomeric transitionE γ =(109.9±1.4) keV; conversion coefficients α K =56±3; α L M +?=50±8; αtotal=106±10;K/L-ratioK/L=1.3±0.3, yielding the multipole order of the isomeric transition to beM3. Upper limits for the direct beta transitions from the isomeric state to the ground states of the neighbouring even-even nuclei Gd158 and Dy158 are 10?4 and 6·10?3, respectively.  相似文献

Integral yields of spontaneous emission at wavelengths of 1.73, 2.03, and 2.65 μm have been measured upon excitation of pure xenon by a pulsed electron beam. These yields have been analyzed and experimental data have been obtained on time constants of radiative transitions 5d[3/2]1 → 6p[5/2]2, 5d[3/2]1 → 6p[3/2]1, and 5d[3/2]1 → 6p[1/2]0 of XeI, which appeared to be equal to (2300 ± 400) × 10?9, (300 ± 40) × 10?9, and (1300 ± 200) × 10?9 s, respectively. It is shown that the experimental data are in a qualitative agreement with the results of computational and theoretical investigations. The results of averaging the experimental and calculated data are proposed for use as recommended values of the corresponding constants.  相似文献
