We present a new scheme for realizing a n-qubit controlled-phase gate with atoms in cavity QED. The present scheme operates essentially by exchanging a single photon between the control atoms and the cavity mode before and after a phase shift performed on the target atom. It is interesting to note that the gate can be implemented in a very simple way and by employing resonant interaction with one cavity only.

We propose a method for realizing the quantum controlled-NOT gate with a single resonant interaction in cavity QED. Our scheme only requires a single resonant interaction between two atoms and a cavity mode. Thus the scheme is very simple and the quantum dynamics operation can be realized at a high speed, which is important in view of decoherence. In addition, we also show that the gate can be realized in the ion trap system.  相似文献

We present a scheme for transferring an unknown atomic entangled state with a single resonant interaction. This scheme only requires a single resonant interaction of two atoms with a cavity mode and does not use the cavity mode as the memory. Thus the scheme is very simple and the interaction time is very short, which is important, in view of decoherence. Quantum state can be directly transferred from two atoms to another two at, oms with a successful probability of 100 percent.  相似文献

This paper proposes a scheme for generating arbitrary superpositions of several coherent states along a straight line for a cavity mode. In the scheme, several atoms are sent through a cavity initially in a strong coherent state. The superposition of several coherent states with desired coefficients may be generated if each atom is detected in the excited state after it exits the cavity. The scheme is based on resonant atom--cavity interaction and no classical field is required during and after the atom--cavity interaction. Thus, the scheme is very simple and the interaction time is very short, which is important in view of decoherence.  相似文献

We propose a physical scheme for generating a two-atom cluster state through the simultaneous interaction of two two-level atoms with a single-mode cavity field prepared initially in an odd-coherent state under a large-detuned limit. The influence of the dissipation constant, the intensity of the field and the imperfect manipulation on the preparation scheme are investigated. It is shown that when the intensity of the cavity is large enough, the influence of the cavity decay is ettlciently suppressed. The possible error in the implementation of the cluster state is negligible when the time difference between two atoms crossing the cavity axis is small. It is suggested that the scheme can be realized by current technologies.  相似文献

We propose a method of generating a four-atom entangled cluster state by considering two kinds of the atoms–cavity field interaction in cavity QED. During the preparation the cavity is only virtually excited no quantum information will be transferred from the atoms to the cavity and thus the scheme is insensitive to the cavity field states and cavity decay. The scheme can also be used to generate the cluster state for the trapped ions.  相似文献

An alternative scheme is proposed for preparing the superpositions of coherent states with controllable weighting factors along a straight line for a cavity field. The scheme is based on the interaction of a single-mode cavity field with a resonant two-level atom driven by a strong classical field. It is in contrast to the previous methods used in cavity QED of injecting a coherent state into a cavity via a microwave source. In the scheme, the interaction between the cavity mode and atoms is fully resonant, thus the required interaction time is greatly shortened. Moreover, the present scheme requires smaller numbers of operations. In view of decoherence, a reduction of interaction time and numbers of operations for the state preparation is very important for experimental implementation of quantum state engineering.  相似文献

Experimentally feasible scheme for teleportation of atomic entangled state via entanglement swapping is proposed in cavity quantum electrodynamics without joint Bell-state measurement. In the teleportation processes the interaction between atoms and a single-mode nonresonant cavity with the assistance of a strong classical driving field substitute the joint measurements. The discussion of the scheme indicates that it can be realized by current technologies.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for controllably entangling the ground states of five-state W-type atoms confined in a cavity and realizing swap gate and phase gate operations. In this scheme the cavity is only virtually excited and the atomic excited states are almost not occupied, so the produced entangled states and quantum logic operations are very robust against the cavity decay and atomic spontaneous emission.  相似文献

A scheme is proposed for generating a three-dimensional entangled state for two atoms trapped in a cavity by one step via adiabatic passage. In the scheme, the two atoms are always in ground states and the field mode of the cavity excited is negligible under a certain condition. Therefore, the scheme is very robust against decoherence. Furthermore, it needs neither the exact control of all parameters nor the accurate control of the interaction time. It is shown that qutrit entanglement can be generated with a high fidelity.  相似文献

We analyse a teleportation scheme of cavity field states. The experimental sketch discussed makes use of cavity quantum electrodynamics involving the interaction of Rydberg atoms with superconducting (micromaser) cavities as well as with classical microwave (Ramsey) cavities. In our scheme the Ramsey cavities and the atoms play the role of auxiliary systems used to teleport a field state, which is formed by a linear superposition of vacuum |∅〉 and the one-photon state |1〉, from a micromaser cavity to another.  相似文献

A scheme for preparing correlated four-mode states with controllable weighting factors is presented. In the scheme, a sequence of suitably prepared four-level atoms are orderly sent through two bimodal cavities, the detection of all atoms in ground state collapses cavity fields to the desire state. The distinct advantage of our scheme is that the interaction time can be greatly shortened, which is important in view of decoherence.  相似文献

We present a scheme for realizing a multi-atom NOON state via cavity QED system. The scheme bases on the Jaynes-Cumming mode with collective atomic bosonic mode. In the process, a series of control atoms are sent through two single mode cavities which are initially in vacuum states and have the same collective atoms. After the suitable interaction time, the collective atoms in two cavities are in the desired state.  相似文献

A scheme is proposed for generating maximally entangled states for three atoms trapped in a two-mode cavity. The scheme is based on resonant atom-cavity interaction and linear optics elements. The fidelity of the entangled state is not affected by both the decoherence and detection inefficiencies. The scheme works beyond the strong-coupling regime, which is important for high-fidelity entanglement engineering under realistic conditions.  相似文献

We propose an experimentally feasible scheme of implementing perfect quantum dense coding with three-atom W-class state in cavity QED. In this scheme atoms interact simultaneously with a highly detuned cavity field and the cavity is only virtually excited, thus the scheme is insensitive to the cavity decay, which is very important in view of experiment. Moreover, we also propose a scheme of transmitting three bits of classical information by sending one qubit and one classical bit with 3-qubit W-class and GHZ states.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for one-step generation of cluster states with atoms sent through a thermal cavity with strong classical driving field, based on the resonant atom-cavity interaction so that the operating time is sharply short, which is important in the view of decoherence.  相似文献

Two schemes are proposed for generating atomic qubits cluster states in cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). In the first scheme, only two-atom-cavity interactions are involved, and cluster states can be directly generated by using constructed two-qubit controlled phase gates. The second scheme needs the assistance of additional single-qubit rotations, but takes less time than the first one for two-atom operations in the cavity. In this scheme, two projective operators are constructed to prepare two-dimension or more complicated configurations of cluster states. Both schemes are insensitive to the cavity decay due to the fact that the cavity is only virtually excited during the interaction between atoms and the cavity. The idea can also be applied to the ion trap system.  相似文献

We propose a quantum nondemolition measurement of the photon-number distribution for a weak cavity field with no more than two photons. The scheme is based on the resonant interaction of atoms with the cavity field, and thus the required interaction time is much shorter than that using dispersive interaction. This is important in view of decoherence. Our scheme can also be used to generate even and odd coherent states for a weak cavity field with resonant atoms.  相似文献
