In this paper recurrent neural networks with time-varying delays and continuously distributed delays are considered. This paper addresses the local and global stability of n-dimensional Lotka-Volterra systems with distributed delays and instantaneous negative feedbacks. Necessary and sufficient conditions for local stability independent of the choice of the delay functions are given, by imposing a weak nondelayed diagonal dominance which cancels the delayed competition effect. The global asymptotic stability of positive equilibria is established under conditions slightly stronger than the ones required for the linear stability. For the case of monotone interactions, however, sharper conditions are presented. This paper generalizes known results for discrete delays to systems with distributed delays. Several applications illustrate the results.  相似文献

In this paper, competitive Lotka-Volterra systems are studied that have distributed delays and constant coefficients on interaction terms and have time dependent growth rate vectors with an asymptotically constant average. Algebraic conditions are found to rule out non-vanishing oscillations for such systems and heteroclinic limit cycles for autonomous systems. As a supplement to these results, simple sufficient conditions are provided for certain components of all solutions to vanish and a criterion is given for partial permanence. An outstanding feature of all these results is that the conditions are irrelevant of the size and distribution of the delays.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the existence and exponential convergence of positive almost periodic solutions for the generalized Nicholson’s blowflies model with multiple time-varying delays. Under proper conditions, we establish some criteria to ensure that the solutions of this model converge locally exponentially to a positive almost periodic solution. We give a criterion for the global attractivity of a positive equilibrium of n-dimensional non-autonomous Lotka-Volterra systems with distributed delays. For a class of autonomous Lotka-Volterra systems, we show that such a criterion is sharp, in the sense that it provides necessary and sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic stability independently of the choice of the delay functions. The global attractivity of positive equilibria is established by imposing a diagonal dominance of the instantaneous negative feedback terms, and relies on auxiliary results showing the boundedness of all positive solutions. The paper improves and generalizes known results in the literature, namely by considering systems with distributed delays rather than discrete delays.  相似文献

Since the celebrated Mackey–Glass model of respiratory dynamics was introduced in 1977, many results on its qualitative behavior have been obtained, including oscillation, stability and chaos. The paper reviews some known properties and presents new results for more general models: equations with time-dependent parameters, several delays, a positive periodic equilibrium and distributed delays. The problems considered in the paper involve existence, positivity and permanence of solutions, oscillation and global asymptotic stability. In addition, some general approaches to the study of nonlinear nonautonomous scalar delay equations are outlined. The paper generalizes and unifies existing results and provides an outlook on further studies.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a class of pseudo monotone semiflows, which only enjoy some weak monotonicity properties and are defined on product-ordered topological spaces. Under certain conditions, several convergence principles are established for each precompact orbit of such a class of semiflows to tend to an equilibrium, which improve and extend some corresponding results already known. In this paper, we introduce a class of pseudo-monotone maps on ordered topological spaces. By exploiting monotonicity methods and the invariance of the omega limit set, we establish a convergence principle for discrete-time semiflows generated by the maps introduced. This paper discusses the periodic boundary value problem for first-order nonlinear impulsive integro-differential equations. We prove some new comparison principles, and then establish new existence results for extremal solutions by using these principles and the monotone iterative technique. These results improve and extend all known relevant conclusions from the literature. Some examples are also given to illustrate the advantage of our results.  相似文献

In this paper we deal with the Marchuk model of an immune system. Among the main parameters of the model are the coefficients which describe the state of infected organism and the rate of production of antibodies. In the classical model these coefficients are constants. We consider the case when these coefficients are time-dependent. In particular, we are interested in the case of periodic coefficients which can describe periodic changes of the immune reactivity due to periodic changes of the environment. We examine the asymptotic behaviour of solutions. Under some assumptions we prove that the solutions tend to periodic functions. We also present the results of numerical simulations to illustrate the behaviour of solutions.  相似文献

We study the approximate controllability for the abstract evolution equations with nonlocal conditions in Hilbert spaces. Assuming the approximate controllability of the corresponding linearized equation we obtain sufficient conditions for the approximate controllability of the semilinear evolution equation. The results we obtained are a generalization and continuation of the recent results on this issue. At the end, an example is given to show the application of our result.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the stability of n-dimensional stochastic differential delay systems with nonlinear impulsive effects. First, the equivalent relation between the solution of the n-dimensional stochastic differential delay system with nonlinear impulsive effects and that of a corresponding n-dimensional stochastic differential delay system without impulsive effects is established. Then, some stability criteria for the n-dimensional stochastic differential delay systems with nonlinear impulsive effects are obtained. Finally, the stability criteria are applied to uncertain impulsive stochastic neural networks with time-varying delay. The results show that, this convenient and efficient method will provide a new approach to study the stability of impulsive stochastic neural networks. Some examples are also discussed to illustrate the effectiveness of our theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, we shall establish sufficient conditions for the existence of integral solutions and extremal integral solutions for some nondensely defined impulsive semilinear functional differential inclusions in separable Banach spaces. We shall rely on a fixed point theorem for the sum of completely continuous and contraction operators.
