This paper deals with the asymptotic stability of the system of neutral delay differential equations in an angle which has fewer reports. Stability regions are presented geometrically as well as two criteria which are obtained through the evaluation of a harmonic function on the boundary of a certain region. Numerical experiments on various circumstances are shown to locate the specific region which can make the system unstable so as to exclude it from the whole complex-plane.  相似文献

The stability of linear neutral delay-differential systems with a single delay via Routh–Hurwitz and Schur–Cohn criteria is investigated. We are concerned with delay-independent asymptotic stability of linear system of neutral differential equations. We first establish a sufficient and necessary condition for the system to be delay-independently asymptotically stable, and then give some equivalent stability conditions. This paper improves many recent results on the asymptotic stability in the literature. One example is given to show that the sufficient and necessary condition is easy to verify.  相似文献

We study the asymptotic behavior of a class of second order neutral delay differential equations by both a spectral projection method and an ordinary differential equation method approach. We discuss the relation of these two methods and illustrate some features using examples. Furthermore, a fixed point method is introduced as a third approach to study the asymptotic behavior. We conclude the paper with an application to a mechanical model of turning processes.  相似文献

This paper studies time-delayed switched systems that include both stable and unstable modes. By using multiple Lyapunov-functions technique and a dwell-time approach, several criteria on exponential stability for both linear and nonlinear systems are established. It is shown that by suitably controlling the switching between the stable and unstable modes, exponential stabilization of the switched system can be achieved. Some examples and numerical simulations are provided to illustrate our results.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the numerical solution of delay differential equations (DDEs). We focus on the stability of general linear methods for systems of neutral DDEs with multiple delays. A type of interpolation procedure is considered for general linear methods. Linear stability properties of general linear methods with this interpolation procedure are investigated. In this paper, the investigation of the asymptotical stability of linear neutral systems with time-varying delay has been presented. In order to achieve the desired results, the integral inequality approach was used to express relationships between terms of Newton-Leibniz formula technique and was constructed an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional. By improving a delay decay approach, the stability criteria for the zero solution of system were formulated as linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which can be easily solved. Two numerical examples have been given to show the applicability of established assumptions and the effectiveness of proposed method by MATLAB-Simulink.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of positivity and exponential stability for linear singular positive systems with time delay is addressed. By using the singular value decomposition method, necessary and sufficient conditions for the positivity of the system are established. Based on that, a new sufficient condition for exponential stability of the system is derived. All of the criteria obtained in this paper are presented in terms of algebraic matrix inequalities, which make the conditions can be solved directly. This paper is concerned with the numerical solution to initial value problems of nonlinear delay differential equations of neutral type. We use A-stable linear multistep methods to compute the numerical solution. The asymptotic stability of the A-stable linear multistep methods when applied to the nonlinear delay differential equations of neutral type is investigated, and it is shown that the A-stable linear multistep methods with linear interpolation are GAS-stable. This paper is devoted to discuss the exponential stability in mean square of neutral stochastic delayed systems (NSDDs) with switching and distributed-delay dependent impulses. By using multiple Lyapunov functions and average dwell time (ADT), we provide some sufficient conditions for the exponential stability in mean square for NSDDs with switching and distributed-delay dependent impulses. Compared with the existing related works, we consider not only the influences of switches and neutral type on the stability of NSDDs with switching and distributed-delay dependent impulses but also the influences of both the stable continuous dynamics case and the stable discrete dynamics case. Finally, we provide two examples to illustrate the effectiveness of the theory.  相似文献
