This paper presents simultaneous substoichiometric separation of four rare earth elements; samarium, europium, terbium and ytterbium. The elements are separated simultaneously and substoichiometrically by forming their complexanates with substoichiometric DTPA and extracting their unreacted parts with HTTA. Application to the determination of these elements by substoichiometric neutron activation is also presented.  相似文献

Methods for simultaneous determination of europium and terbium based on concentration dependent distribution is described. With these methods, the distribution ratios of elements are measured in two types of substoichiometric systems. Possibility of determining these elements simultaneously is investigated experimentally by using two pairs of substoichiometric complexans/excess extracting agents, such as DTPA/HTTA and EDTA/HTTA. Relative errors and precisions for simultaneous determination of the elements are less than 5%.  相似文献

An analytical method for the simultaneous determination of rare earth elements by using substoichiometry with two chelating agents, a complexon and an extracting agent, is proposed. The principle of the method is that the element which has the lowest stability constant with the complexon is separated substoichiometrically, while other elements which have higher stability constants are separated quantitatively by a single extraction. This method was applied to neutron activation analysis of rare earth elements. Lanthanum, europium and terbium in orchard leaves were determined simultaneously by using substoichiometric separation with DTPA and TTA.  相似文献

Lanthanide fluorescence enhancement on complexation with calf thymus DNA was studied in aqueous solution. The DNA sensitized and enhanced fluorescence of terbium and europium by nearly two orders of magnitude. By applying this ligand sensitized lanthanide fluorescence enhancement, DNA could be estimated at 10 ppb level. Further, effect of addition of TOPO in Triton X-100 micellar medium to Tb-DNA complex in solution was also studied. On addition of TOPO, no synergistic terbium fluorescence enhancement was observed.  相似文献

The substoichiometric separation of Yb(III) can be achieved by the extraction of a substoichiometric amount of thenoyltrifluoroacetone and an excess amount of phenanthroline in benzene. The appropriate pH range for the substoichiometric extraction is 6–8. The reproducibility of the substoichiometric extraction of Yb(III) is very good as RSD 1%. As an example, Yb in a manganese nodule is determined by the substoichiometry combined with the radioactivation analysis. The content of Yb is 17.63±0.23 g/g. The present procedure can be applied to the determination of other rare earth elements.  相似文献

The method of substoichiometric separation is completed for radioactivity measurements using special nuclear measurement methods in a way that along with the substoichiometric extraction of a given metal the simultaneous quantitative separation of other metals can also be effected. Some general relationships have been derived for the substoichiometric multielement separation of MA m -type metal chelates. Particularly, the primary dithizonates of silver and copper(II) have been studied, and the application of the method is demonstrated by the separation of silver and copper from cobalt.  相似文献

The conditions for the spectrophotofluorometric determination of terbium and europium, in solutions of potassium carbonate, have been established. The apparent excitation and fluorescence wavelengths used, respectively, are 245 mmu and 550 mmu for terbium and 400 mmu and 620 mmu for europium. The fluorescence varies linearly with the concentration of terbium and europium in the range 0.3-70 mug, of terbium/ml and 4-800 mug of europium/ml. Large amounts of gadolinium, lutetium and yttrium do not interfere. Cerium(IV) interferes seriously.  相似文献

The luminescent properties of europium(III) and terbium(III) complexes with para- and ortho-ethoxybenzoic acids are studied. The excitation energies of the triplet states of ligands are determined, a hypothesis is made about the efficient luminescence of europium(III) and terbium(III) complexes, the geometry of the coordination polyhedron of a europium complex is established, and the luminescence quantum yields of the complexes in solution are determined.  相似文献

An amide-based open-chain crown ether ligand and its complexes with europium and terbium were synthesized. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectra and conductivity. The europium and terbium ions were found to coordinate to the C=O oxygen atoms and pyridine nitrogen atoms. The fluorescence properties of these complexes in DMF and CH3OH/CHCl3 were studied. Under the excitation of UV light, these complexes exhibit characteristic fluorescence of europium and terbium ions. The solvent factors influencing the fluorescent intensity are discussed.  相似文献

Synchronous derivative fluorescence of samarium, europium and terbium complexes with quinaldic acid and phenanthroline was examined in aqueous solution. The composition of these complexes was determined. The maximum emission wavelengths are 645 nm, 617 nm and 545 nm for samarium, europium and terbium, respectively. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the fluorescence intensity was a linear function of concentration in the range of 10-250 ppm for samarium, 0.5-50 ppm for europium and 0.5-300 ppm for terbium. Simultaneous determination of samarium, europium and terbium was successfully carried out for samarium oxide and middle rare earth mixture. The precision of the method, expressed as relative standard deviation, is within 1.1-2.5%.  相似文献

为了准确测定板栗中矿物元素和稀土元素的含量水平,采用冷冻干燥方式预处理样品,选用硝酸和过氧化氢体系微波消解样品,结合电感耦合等离子体质谱技术,建立了板栗中钠(Na)、钾(K)、镁(Mg)、锰(Mn)、铁(Fe)、钒(V)、钴(Co)等19种矿物元素及镧(La)、铈(Ce)、镨(Pr)、钕(Nd)、钐(Sm)、铕(Eu)、钆(Gd)、铽(Tb)、镝(Dy)、钬(Ho)、铒(Er)、铥(Tm)、镱(Yb)、镥(Lu)、钇(Y)等15种稀土元素的同时分析测定方法。方法检出限为0.0027~0.78μg/L,相对标准偏差为1.4%~6.3%。通过国家标准物质GBW10019苹果的准确度实验验证,测定结果均在标准证书值范围内。实验结果表明,方法适用于板栗中矿物元素及稀土元素的同时测定。  相似文献

Abstract

The identical properties of rare earth elements towards reaction with various chromogenic reagents in molecular absorption spectrophotometry (MAS) leads to a requirement for the development of procedures with greater selectivity. One way of solving this problem is by utilizing derivative spectroscopy, where the composite spectrum is transformed to the second or higher order derivative in wavelength domain. This paper reports the utilization of higher order derivative spectrophotometry for the simultaneous determination of lanthanum and europium. The developed procedure is simple, reliable and allows the determination of as low as 100 and 10 ppb of lanthanum and europium. respectively. Similar methodology can be adopted for the simultaneous determination of two or more of any closely related analytes by proper choice of derivative order in addition to selecting a suitable chromogenic reagent, pH and masking agents.  相似文献

The comparator method using substoichiometry is developed. In the method, the contents of the elements can be determined simultaneously by the measurement of radioactivities of the comparator elements and of simultaneously separated parts of the elements in question. The method is applied to the simultaneous determination of rare earth elements, such as lanthanum, europium and terbium in NBS botanical standard reference materials. It is confirmed that the method is reliable for simultaneous multielement determination.  相似文献

A procedure for the simultaneous determination of dysprosium, europium, samarium and terbium by laser-induced derivative fluorimetry is described. The method is based on the use of 1 x 10(-4)M hexafluoroacetylacetone (HFA) and 2 x 10(-4)M tri-n-octylphosphine oxide (TOPO) as ligands in aqueous solution at pH 3. The first-derivative and Kalman-filter techniques were used for background correction and reduction of interference. The effects of foreign ions were investigated. The procedure is satisfactory for the simultaneous determination of these four lanthanides.  相似文献

The opportunities of optimisation of luminance of the lanthanide compounds by modification of ligands are discussed. Variations of the excitation and luminescence efficiencies at introduction of nitro- (NO2), sulfo- (SO3), hydroxy- (OH), amino- (NH2), and phenylamino- (NHC6H5) groups in the aromatic ligands were studied. Investigation of luminescence and luminescence excitation spectra of europium and terbium compounds with 10 derivatives of benzoic acid, 2-furancarboxylic acid and their adducts with 1,10-phenanthroline and 2,2′-bipyridine was undertaken. Study of the spectra of lanthanide 8-oxyquinolinates was carried out also. Luminescence efficiencies were measured at 77 and 300 K. Paths of the energy transfer from the ligands to Ln3+ ion were examined. Influence of radicals on the energies of the ligand triplet states and on the energies of the ligand–metal charge transfer states (LM CTS) of europium compounds was analysed. High luminescence efficiencies of europium and terbium benzoates, and terbium anthranylates and salicylates were obtained. Effect of increasing the luminescence efficiencies of europium salicylates and 8-oxyquinolinates at introduction of acceptor nitro-and sulfo-groups in the ligand was revealed. Channel of dissipation of the excitation energy through the ligand π*–n transition of europium and terbium nitro- and dinitrobenzoates was found. Influence of relative positions of the lowest triplet levels of two non-equivalent ligands of compound on the energy transfer to Eu3+ and Tb3+ ions was considered.  相似文献

Two open-chain carboxylate crown ether ligands and their terbium(III) and europium(III) complexes were synthesized and characterized. The terbium and europium ions were found to coordinate to the carboxylate oxygens. The fluorescence properties of europium complexes in the solid state and terbium complexes in the solid state and in the organic solvent were studied in detail, respectively. Under the excitation of ultraviolet light, strong green fluorescence of solid terbium complexes and red fluorescence of solid europium complexes were observed. These observations show that the two ligands favor energy transfer to the emitting energy level of Tb(3+). Some factors that influencing the fluorescent intensity were also discussed.  相似文献

The linear and non-linear photophysical properties of tris-dipicolinate europium and terbium complexes (absorption, emission, lifetime, luminescence induced by two-photon absorption) are studied in the crystalline state as well as in protein derivative crystals and compared to those in solution. Upon laser irradiation at 532 nm, luminescence of terbium is induced by a two-photon antenna effect, whereas luminescence of europium results from one-photon absorption in forbidden f-f transitions. Finally, linear and two-photon microscopy imaging experiments on biological and bio-inspired crystals are performed. These first proof-of-concept experiments open the way for the development of time-resolved non-linear microscopy that should combine the advantages of lanthanide luminescence (long lifetime, sharp emission bands, insensitivity to oxygen) with those of confocal biphotonic excitation (near-IR excitation, 3D resolution and reduced photodamage).  相似文献
