The aim of this paper is to gather and (try to) unify several approaches for the modular representation theory of Hecke algebras of type B. We construct an algebraic rational homotopy theory for all connected CW spaces (with arbitrary fundamental group) whose universal cover is rationally of finite type. This construction extends the classical theory in the simply connected case and has two basic properties: (1) it induces a natural equivalence of the corresponding homotopy category to the homotopy category of spaces whose universal cover is rational and of finite type and (2) in the algebraic category, homotopy equivalences are isomorphisms. This algebraisation introduces a new homotopy invariant: a rational vector bundle with a distinguished class of linear connections.

We characterize bounded and compact composition operators on weighted Dirichlet spaces. The method involves integral averages of the determining function for the operator, and the connection between composition operators on Dirichlet spaces and Toeplitz operators on Bergman spaces. We also present several examples and counter-examples that point out the borderlines of the result and its connections to other themes.

We describe an efficient construction of a canonical noncommutative deformation of the algebraic functions on the moduli spaces of flat connections on a Riemann surface. The resulting algebra is a variant of the quantum moduli algebra introduced by Alekseev, Grosse, and Schomerus and Buffenoir and Roche. We construct a natural trace functional on this algebra and show that it is related to the canonical trace in the formal index theory of Fedosov and Nest and Tsygan via Verlinde's formula.  相似文献

We characterize invariant projectively flat affine connections in terms of affine representations of Lie algebras, and show that a homogeneous space admits an invariant projectively flat affine connection if and only if it has an equivariant centro-affine immersion. We give a correspondence between semi-simple symmetric spaces with invariant projectively flat affine connections and central-simple Jordan algebras.

Absolutely or totally convex modules are a canonical generalization of absolutely or countably absolutely convex sets in linear spaces. There are canonical connections between the category of absolutely convex modules and the category of Saks spaces, each of which is given by a pair of adjoint functors. This is the first of a planned sequence of papers on inverse problems for canonical systems of differential equations. It is devoted largely to foundational material (much of which is of independent interest) on the theory of assorted classes of meromorphic matrix valued functions. Particular attention is paid to the structure of J-inner functions and connections with bitangential interpolation problems and reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces. Some new characterizations of regular, singular and strongly regular J-inner functions in terms of the associated reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces are presented.D. Z. We prove the theorem announced by the author in 1995 in the paper “A criterion for the discreteness of the spectrum of a singular canonical system” (Funkts. Anal. Prilozhen., 29, No. 3).In developing the theory of Hilbert spaces of entire functions (we call them Krein-de Branges spaces), de Branges arrived at a certain class of canonical equations of phase dimension 2. He showed that, for any given Krein-de Branges space, there exists a canonical equation of the class indicated that restores a chain of Krein-de Branges spaces imbedded one into another. The Hamiltonians of such canonical equations are called de Branges Hamiltonians. The following question arises: Under what conditions will the Hamiltonian of a certain canonical equation be a de Branges Hamiltonian? The main theorem of the present work, together with Theorem 1 of the paper cited above, gives an answer to this question.  相似文献

We elucidate [9] with two applications. In the first we view connections as differential systems. Specializing this to trivial bundles overS 1 and applying the theory of Floquet, we obtain equivalent connections with constant Christoffel symbols. In the second application we prove that the canonical connections of parallelizable manifolds (in particular Lie groups) can be obtained from the canonical flat connection of appropriate trivial bundles. Thus, the formalisms of [1], [4], [5] and [6] fit in the general setting of [9].  相似文献

Properties of the unions of sampling and interpolation sets for Bergman spaces are discussed in conjunction with the examples given by Seip (1993). Their relationship to the classical interpolation sequences is explored. In addition, the role played by canonical divisors in the study of these sets is examined and an example of a sampling set is constructed in the disk.

We construct a canonical correspondence from a wide class of reproducing kernels on infinite-dimensional Hermitian vector bundles to linear connections on these bundles. The linear connection in question is obtained through a pull-back operation involving the tautological universal bundle and the classifying morphism of the input kernel. The aforementioned correspondence turns out to be a canonical functor between categories of kernels and linear connections. A number of examples of linear connections including the ones associated to classical kernels, homogeneous reproducing kernels and kernels occurring in the dilation theory for completely positive maps are given, together with their covariant derivatives.  相似文献

It is shown here how the Galois connections theory provides a canonical procedure to fuzzify a crisp closure space. Roughly speaking, if S is a space equipped with an ∩-closed set of subsets (the closed subsets), the closed fuzzy subsets of S are the Galois connections between and the valuation set. We establish the L 2 theory for the Cauchy–Riemann equations on product domains provided that the Cauchy–Riemann operator has closed range on each factor. We deduce regularity of the canonical solution on (p, 1)-forms in special Sobolev spaces represented as tensor products of Sobolev spaces on the factors of the product. This paper presents a canonical duality theory for solving a general nonconvex quadratic minimization problem with nonconvex constraints. By using the canonical dual transformation developed by the first author, the nonconvex primal problem can be converted into a canonical dual problem with zero duality gap. A general analytical solution form is obtained. Both global and local extrema of the nonconvex problem can be identified by the triality theory associated with the canonical duality theory. Illustrative applications to quadratic minimization with multiple quadratic constraints, box/integer constraints, and general nonconvex polynomial constraints are discussed, along with insightful connections to classical Lagrangian duality. Criteria for the existence and uniqueness of optimal solutions are presented. Several numerical examples are provided.  相似文献

In this paper, we define the virtual moduli cycle of moduli spaces with perfect tangent-obstruction theory. The two interesting moduli spaces of this type are moduli spaces of vector bundles over surfaces and moduli spaces of stable morphisms from curves to projective varieties. As an application, we define the Gromov-Witten invariants of smooth projective varieties and prove all its basic properties.

The main goal of the paper is to make connections between two well-known, but, up to now, independently developed theories: the theory of violator spaces and the theory of closure spaces. Violator spaces were introduced by Matoušek et al. in 2008 as generalization of linear programming problems. The notion of closure arises in many disciplines, including topology, algebra, convexity analysis, logic etc. In this work, we investigate interrelations between violator spaces and closure spaces. We show that a violator mapping may be defined by a weak version of a closure operator. Interrelations between violator spaces and closure spaces give new insights on a number of well known findings. For example, we prove that violator spaces with a unique basis satisfy both the anti-exchange and the Krein–Milman properties.Finally, based on subsequent relaxations of the closure operator notion we introduce convex spaces as a generalization of violator spaces.  相似文献
