Oscillatory exchange bias in both magnitude and in sign has been observed in epitaxial (100)Cr/Ni(81)Fe19 bilayers due to the incommensurate spin-density waves in antiferromagnetic (100)Cr layers. Salient effects due to the spin-flip transition between longitudinal and transverse spin-density waves as well as that of expanding wavelength have been observed.  相似文献

用铁磁畴壁模型研究了非补偿界面铁磁/反铁磁双层膜中冷却场(包括大小及其方向)对交换偏置场hE的影响.结果表明:当冷却场的方向与反铁磁层磁易轴一致时,hE大小与冷却场大小无关.当冷却场的方向偏离磁易轴时,hE的大小随偏离角度的增大有缓慢的改变,但当冷却场的方向偏离到临界角度γc处,hE的大小发生突变,其γc的大小随冷却场的增大而增大.特别是当冷却场的偏离角度大于γc后,hE出现由负转正的现象,其转变点还与冷却场的大小有关.另外,hE与铁磁层原子层数NF的关系会发生由hEN-1FhEN-λF的转变,其中λ>1.其发生转变的条件与NF、冷却场大小和方向密切相关. 关键词: 铁磁/反铁磁双层膜 交换偏置 冷却场  相似文献

This paper reports that a CoFe/IrMn bilayer was deposited by high vacuum magnetron sputtering on silicon wafer substrate; the thermal relaxation of the CoFe/IrMn bilayer is investigated by means of holding the film in a negative saturation field at various temperatures. The exchange bias decreases with increasing period of time while holding the film in a negative saturation field at a given temperature. Increasing the temperature accelerates the decrease of exchange field. The results can be explained by the quantitative model of the nucleation and growth of antiferromagnetic domains suggested by Xi H W et al. [2007 Phys. Rev. B 75 014434], and it is believed that two energy barriers exist in the investigated temperature range.  相似文献

The behavior of a two-level induced moment antiferromagnet in an external magnetic field is investigated in the molecular field approximation. A significant reduction in the critical field and in the sublattice magnetizations is shown. However, the total magnetization rises more rapidly with field and can remain at large value in an external field even at T = 0. The magnetic susceptibility also remains finite at T = 0 in contrast to the case of a permanent moment Ising antiferromagnet. The effects of a ferromagnetic next-nearest neighbor interaction are then examined. It is shown that, in contrast to the usual Ising antiferromagnets, the ferromagnetic coupling has to exceed a certain value depending on the crystal field strength and the antiferromagnetic interaction, to allow for a first order phase transition in a field to occur even at zero temperature.  相似文献

采用自由能极小的方法研究了铁磁/反铁磁双层膜系统在外应力场下的交换各向异性.本模型中铁磁层具有单轴磁晶各向异性和立方磁晶各向异性,而反铁磁层仅具有单轴磁晶各向异性,但其厚度趋于半无穷.理论上解析地给出了系统的等效交换偏置和钉扎角(它显示了反铁磁层对铁磁层磁化的钉扎作用)与外应力场之间的关系.数值计算表明:系统的等效交换偏置与外磁场的方向有关,而与其大小无关;然而外应力场的大小和方向均对系统的等效交换偏置有影响,其根源在于外应力场的大小和方向都影响着钉扎角. 关键词: 铁磁/反铁磁双层膜 交换偏置 钉扎角 应力场  相似文献

We have used the unique spatial sensitivity of polarized neutron and soft x-ray beams in reflection geometry to measure the depth dependence of magnetization across the interface between a ferromagnet and an antiferromagnet. The net uncompensated magnetization near the interface responds to applied field, while uncompensated spins in the antiferromagnet bulk are pinned, thus providing a means to establish exchange bias.  相似文献

The element-specific magnetic structure of an epitaxially grown Mn_52Pd_48/Fe bilayer showing exchange bias was investigated with atomic-layer depth sensitivity at the antiferromagnet/ferromagnet interface by soft-x-ray magnetic circular dichroism and magnetic reflectivity. A complex magnetic interfacial configuration, consisting of a 2-monolayer-thick induced ferromagnetic region, and pinned uncompensated Mn moments that reach far deeper (approximately 13 A), both in the antiferromagnet, were found. For the latter, a direct relationship with the magnitude of the exchange bias is verified by similar measurements perpendicular to the field cooling direction.  相似文献

We demonstrate via first-principle calculations based on the density functional theory that the magnetic moment of a helium atom under a given magnetic field has a positive correlation with the electric dipole moment when an external electric field is applied to the system. In direct moment mobility measurement, one difficulty is the moment excitation. Two-force configuration excitation is widely used to generate moment in practice. Previous error analysis mainly focused on the initial load of exciters, the matching of the two forces, and the system resonance. In this paper, the distance requirement of two-force configuration in moment excitation is investigated. Based on the numerical calculation, other factors that affect the error in moment mobility measurement are discussed. The influence of the deduced distance requirement on moment mobility measurement is also explained.  相似文献

The spin model of single domain ferromagnetic film is considered. Only the nearest-neighbor interactions are taken into account. The interactions depend on distances from surfaces. The external magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the easy axis lying in the plane of the film. The thermodynamic behaviour of the model is studied near the second-order ferro-paramagnetic phase transition for the component of the magnetization in the direction of the easy axis. The molecular-field theory is used. The phase diagram and profiles of the order parameter are obtained. Different feasible investigations of the phase transition are compared.  相似文献

A micromagnetic numerical technique has been used to demonstrate how intergranular exchange coupling and intrinsic anisotropy field dispersion can be extracted from measuring two types of M-H curves. A realistic grain configuration formed by planar Voronoi cells is used to simulate perpendicular magnetic media. This technique effectively separates the effects of intergranular exchange coupling and anisotropy dispersion by finding their correlation to differentiated M-H curves with different initial magnetization states, even in the presence of thermal fluctuation. The validity of this method is investigated with a series of intergranular exchange couplings and anisotropy dispersions for different media thickness. A relationship between the auto-correlation function of an ac-erased sample and dispersion of the exchange interaction is demonstrated. Utilizing magnetization auto-correlation functions, the magnetic intergranular exchange coupling statistics show a correlation with the auto-correlation function shape in terms of zero-cross and undershoot values.  相似文献

The demagnetizing field of a Co50Fe50 free layer in an in-planemicron-sized magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) can be partially compensated by exchangecoupling with a [Co90Fe10/Pt] N multilayer with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy via a Ru interlayer. The perpendicularanisotropy for N = 5 is optimized for nominal CoFe and Pt thicknessof 0.4 nm and 1.0 nm, respectively. An increase of tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) from 2%to 75% is observed in MTJs as the free layer thickness, t variesfrom 1.0 nm to 3.0 nm. A phenomenological model is developed to interpret the TMRdependence in terms of the free layer magnetization rotation from in-plane to out-of-planewith decreasing t, a consequence of interlayer exchange coupling with theperpendicular multilayer. We suggest that this strategy could significantly reduce theswitching current density in such MTJs.  相似文献

The magnetic profile across the interface of a perpendicular exchange coupled [NiO/CoO]3/Pt-Co/Pt(111) system is investigated. The magneto-optic Kerr effect reveals a strong coupling between the antiferromagnetic (AFM) oxide and the ferromagnetic (FM) Pt-Co layer, by an increasing coercivity and a rotation of the easy magnetization axis of the FM layer along the AFM spins. Soft x-ray resonant magnetic reflectivity is used to probe the spatial distribution of the out-of-plane magnetization inside the oxide above its ordering temperature. It extends over 1 nm and exhibits a change of sign.  相似文献

We investigate the effect of valley-dependent orbital magnetic moment on the transmission of quasiparticles through biased bilayer graphene npn and pnp junctions in the presence of out-of-plane magnetic field. It is shown that the valley-polarized Zeeman-like energy splitting, due to the interaction of orbital magnetic moment with magnetic field, can suppress the transmission of quasiparticles of one valley while transmitting those of the other valley. This valley-selective transmission property can be exploited for valley filtering. We demonstrate that the npn and pnp junction, respectively, filters off the K-valley and K-valley particles, with nearly perfect degree of filtration.  相似文献

In patterned media, shape characteristics of dots due to processing fluctuation and resolution will become the main source of the noise. The noise due to the roughness of edge line and roundness by the lithographical resolution was analyzed in this paper. Firstly, edge line roughness was re-created by the method in the semiconductor field, and dot physical pattern was generated. We added the physical pattern roundness due to lithographical resolution varied with the ratio of decreased area by over etching. The result indicated those noise sources caused fatal errors. The processing guidance of the dot was formulated.  相似文献

The properties of a quasi-two-dimensional system are affected by the presence of an electric field applied perpendicular to the surface. These changes are investigated analytically within the “hydrogenic” model and a theory linear in the field. Both the static and dynamic fields are considered and the dynamic case is treated in the dipole approximation by following the approach of Luban and Nudler-Blum.  相似文献

We present an exact solution to the problem of the spin edge states in the presence of equal Bychkov-Rashba and Dresselhaus spin-orbit fields in a two-dimensional electron system, restricted by a hard-wall confining potential and exposed to a perpendicular magnetic field. We find that the spectrum of the spin edge states depends critically on the orientation of the sample edges with respect to the crystallographic axes. Such a strikingly different spectral behavior generates new modes of the persistent spin helix-spin edge helices with novel properties, which can be tuned by the applied electric and magnetic fields.  相似文献
