Geometry of affine immersions is the study of hypersurfaces that are invariant under affine transformations. As with the hypersurface theory on the Euclidean space, an affine immersion can induce a torsion-free affine connection and a (pseudo)-Riemannian metric on the hypersurface. Moreover, an affine immersion can induce a statistical manifold, which plays a central role in information geometry. Recently, a statistical manifold with a complex structure is actively studied since it connects information geometry and Kähler geometry. However, a holomorphic complex affine immersion cannot induce such a statistical manifold with a Kähler structure. In this paper, we introduce complex affine distributions, which are non-integrable generalizations of complex affine immersions. We then present the fundamental theorem for a complex affine distribution, and show that a complex affine distribution can induce a statistical manifold with a Kähler structure.  相似文献

The notion of affine Kähler immersions has been recently introduced by Nomizu-Pinkall-Podestà ([N-Pi-Po]). This work is aimed at giving some results towards the classification of non degenerate affine Kähler hypersurfaces with symmetric and parallel Ricci tensor; this problem generalizes the classical results due to Nomizu-Smyth ([N-S]) in the theory of Kählerian hypersurfaces. In a second section we deal with the case of “semisymmetric” affine Kähler immersions, when the curvature tensor R satisfies R · R = 0 and the Ricci tensor is symmetric, providing a complete classification; for affine Kähler curves we prove that the conditions above are actually equivalent to saying that the immersion is isometric for a suitable Kähler metric in C2.  相似文献

In this paper, we study locally strongly convex affine hyperspheres in the unimodular affine space R~(n+1) which, as Riemannian manifolds, are locally isometric to the Riemannian product of two Riemannian manifolds both possessing constant sectional curvature. As the main result, a complete classification of such affine hyperspheres is established. Moreover, as direct consequences, 3-and 4-dimensional affine hyperspheres with parallel Ricci tensor are also classified.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to classify 4-dimensional Einstein-like manifolds whose Ricci tensor has constant eigenvalues (this being a special kind of curvature homogeneity condition). We give a full classification when the Ricci tensor is of Codazzi type; when the Ricci tensor is cyclic parallel, we classify all such manifolds when not all Ricci curvatures are distinct. In this second case we find a one-parameter family of Riemannian metrics on a Lie groupG as the only possible ones which are irreducible and non-symmetric.  相似文献

We define a filtration indexed by the integers on the tensor product of a simple highest weight module and a loop module for a quantum affine algebra. We prove that such a filtration is either trivial or strictly decreasing and give sufficient conditions for this to happen. In the first case we prove that the tensor product is simple and in the second case we prove that the intersection of all the modules in the filtration is zero, thus allowing us to define the completed tensor product. In certain special cases, we identify the subsequent quotients of filtration.  相似文献

In this paper, continuing with Hu–Li–Vrancken and the recent work of Anti′c–DillenSchoels–Vrancken, we obtain a decomposition theorem which settled the problem of how to determine whether a given locally strongly convex affine hypersurface can be decomposed as a generalized Calabi composition of two affine hyperspheres, based on the properties of its difference tensor K and its affine shape operator S.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the notion of Reeb parallel Ricci tensor for homogeneous real hypersurfaces in complex hyperbolic two‐plane Grassmannians which has a remarkable geometric structure as a Hermitian symmetric space of rank 2. By using a new method of simultaneous diagonalizations, we give a complete classification for real hypersurfaces in complex hyperbolic two‐plane Grassmannians with the Reeb parallel Ricci tensor.  相似文献

For a symplectic manifold admitting a metaplectic structure (a symplectic analogue of the Riemannian spin structure), we construct a sequence consisting of differential operators using a symplectic torsion-free affine connection. All but one of these operators are of first order. The first order ones are symplectic analogues of the twistor operators known from Riemannian spin geometry. We prove that under the condition the symplectic Weyl curvature tensor field of the symplectic connection vanishes, the mentioned sequence forms a complex. This gives rise to a new complex for the so called Ricci type symplectic manifolds, which admit a metaplectic structure.  相似文献

In this short note, we prove a theorem of Ambrose (or Myers) for the Bakry–Emery Ricci tensor with the potential function at most linear growth. We also prove a complete manifold $(M, g, f)$ with the Bakry–Emery Ricci tensor bounded from below by a uniform positive constant and the potential function at most quadratic growth is compact.  相似文献

This work gives a classification theorem for affine immersions with planar geodesics in the case where the codimension is maximal. Vrancken classified parallel affine immersions in this case and obtained, among others, generalized Veronese submanifolds. In this work it is shown that the immersions with planar geodesics are the same as the parallel ones in the considered case. A geometric interpretation of parallel immersions is also given: The affine immersions with pointwise planar normal sections (with respect to the equiaffine transversal bundle) are parallel. This result is verified for surfaces in R4 and for immersions with the maximal codimension.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the notion of partial affine system that is a subset of an affine system. It has potential applications in signal analysis. A general affine system has been extensively studied; however, the partial one has not. The main focus of this paper is on partial affine system–based frames and dual frames. We obtain a necessary condition and a sufficient condition for a partial affine system to be a frame and present a characterization of partial affine system–based dual frames. Pressley, a simple integrable module with finite-dimensional weight spaces over an affine Lie algebra is either a standard module (highest or lowest weight), in which case its formal character is given by the famous Weyl–Kac formula, or a subquotient of a tensor product of loop modules. In this paper, the second in a series of papers on the algebra of the Riemann curvature tensor, we relate the algebraic invariants of the Einstein curvature tensor to the algebraic invariants of the trace-free part of the Ricci tensor, and, consequently, to the trace-free part of the stress-energy tensor for the physical system. We also show explicitly how all of the components of the trace-free part of the Ricci tensor transform under a Lorentz transformation.  相似文献

In affine differential geometry of affine immersions h is the second fundamental form and C – the cubic form of the immersion. We prove that it implies that C is divisible by h if h is non-degenerate and the codimension is greater than two. With an equiaffine immersion of codimension 1 into the affine space with the natural equiaffine structure, the conormal map is associated. In this paper, for an equiaffine immersion of general codimension into the space, we shall define the map corresponding to the conormal map, which is called the transversal volume element map.
