CF3H as a proton donor was paired with a variety of anions, and its properties were assessed by MP2/aug‐cc‐pVDZ calculations. The binding energy of monoanions halide, NO3?, formate, acetate, HSO4?, and H2PO4? lie in the 12–17 kcal mol?1 range, although F? is more strongly bound, by 26 kcal mol?1. Dianions SO42? and HPO42? are bound by 27 kcal mol?1, and trianion PO43? by 45 kcal mol?1. When two O atoms are available on the anion, the CH???O? H‐bond (HB) is usually bifurcated, although asymmetrically. The CH bond is elongated and its stretching frequency redshifted in these ionic HBs, but the shift is reduced in the bifurcated structures. Slightly more than half of the binding energy is attributed to Coulombic attraction, with smaller contributions from induction and dispersion. The amount of charge transfer from the anions to the σ*(CH) orbital correlates with many of the other indicators of bond strength, such as binding energy, CH bond stretch, CH redshift, downfield NMR spectroscopic chemical shift of the bridging proton, and density at bond critical points. 相似文献

The structure, stability, and bonding character of fifteen (Ng-H-Ng)+ and (Ng-H-Ng’)+ (Ng, Ng’ = He-Xe) compounds were explored by theoretical calculations performed at the coupled cluster level of theory. The nature of the stabilizing interactions was, in particular, assayed using a method recently proposed by the authors to classify the chemical bonds involving the noble-gas atoms. The bond distances and dissociation energies of the investigated ions fall in rather large intervals, and follow regular periodic trends, clearly referable to the difference between the proton affinity (PA) of the various Ng and Ng’. These variations are nicely correlated with the bonding situation of the (Ng-H-Ng)+ and (Ng-H-Ng’)+. The Ng-H and Ng’-H contacts range, in fact, between strong covalent bonds to weak, non-covalent interactions, and their regular variability clearly illustrates the peculiar capability of the noble gases to undergo interactions covering the entire spectrum of the chemical bond. 相似文献

The halogen and hydrogen bonding complexes between 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-noxyl and trihalomethanes (CHX3, X=Cl, Br, I) are simulated by computational quantum chem-istry. The molecular electrostatic potentials, geometrical parameters and interaction energy of halogen and hydrogen bonding complexes combined with natural bond orbital analysis are obtained. The results indicate that both halogen and hydrogen bonding interactions obey the order Cl

This work reports the syntheses and the first crystal structures of the cationic carbone adducts [FC(PPh3)2]+ and [BrC(PPh3)2]+ and the protonated dication [FC(H)(PPh3)2]2+, which are derived from the carbone C(PPh3)2. Quantum chemical calculations and bonding analyses were carried out for the series of cations [AC(PPh3)2]+ and dications [AC(H)(PPh3)2]2+, where A=H, Me, F, Cl, Br, I. The bonding analysis suggests that the cations are best described as phosphane complexes L→(CA)+←L (L=PPh3), which are related to the neutral borylene adducts L→(BA)←L (L=cyclic carbene; A=H, aryl) that were recently isolated. The carbone adducts [AC(PPh3)2]+ possess a π electron lone pair at carbon and they can easily be protonated to the dications [AC(H)(PPh3)2]2+. The calculations of the dications indicate that the molecules are best represented as complexes L→(CHA)2+←L (L=PPh3) where a carbene dication is stabilized by the ligands. The central carbon atom in the cations and even in the dications carries a negative partial charge, which is larger than the negative charge at fluorine. There is also the peculiar situation in which the carbon–fluorine bonds in [FC(PPh3)2]+ and [FC(H)(PPh3)2]2+ exhibit the expected polarity with the negative end at fluorine, but the carbon atom has a larger negative charge than fluorine. Given the similarity of carbodiphosphorane C(PPh3)2 and carbodicarbene C(NHC)2, we expect that analogous compounds [AC(NHC)2]+ and [AC(H)(NHC)2]2+ with similar features as [AC(PPh3)2]+ and [AC(H)(PPh3)2]2+ can be isolated. 相似文献

The first asymmetric synthesis of 2,3‐dihydrofuro[2,3‐b]quinolines has been achieved by a cascade asymmetric aziridination/intramolecular ring‐opening process of differently substituted 3‐alkenylquinolones. Good yields and high enantioselectivities (up to 78 % yield and 95 % ee) were recorded when employing 2,2,2‐trichloroethoxysulfonamide as the nitrene source, PhI(OCOtBu)2 as the oxidant, and a chiral C2‐symmetric RhII complex as the catalyst (1 mol %). The catalyst bears two lactam motifs, which serve as binding sites for substrate coordination through supramolecular hydrogen‐bonding interactions. 相似文献

Syntheses of the copper and gold complexes [Cu{Fe(CO)5}2][SbF6] and [Au{Fe(CO)5}2][HOB{3,5-(CF3)2C6H3}3] containing the homoleptic carbonyl cations [M{Fe(CO)5}2]+ (M=Cu, Au) are reported. Structural data of the rare, trimetallic Cu2Fe, Ag2Fe and Au2Fe complexes [Cu{Fe(CO)5}2][SbF6], [Ag{Fe(CO)5}2][SbF6] and [Au{Fe(CO)5}2][HOB{3,5-(CF3)2C6H3}3] are also given. The silver and gold cations [M{Fe(CO)5}2]+ (M=Ag, Au) possess a nearly linear Fe-M-Fe’ moiety but the Fe-Cu-Fe’ in [Cu{Fe(CO)5}2][SbF6] exhibits a significant bending angle of 147° due to the strong interaction with the [SbF6]− anion. The Fe(CO)5 ligands adopt a distorted square-pyramidal geometry in the cations [M{Fe(CO)5}2]+, with the basal CO groups inclined towards M. The geometry optimization with DFT methods of the cations [M{Fe(CO)5}2]+ (M=Cu, Ag, Au) gives equilibrium structures with linear Fe-M-Fe’ fragments and D2 symmetry for the copper and silver cations and D4d symmetry for the gold cation. There is nearly free rotation of the Fe(CO)5 ligands around the Fe-M-Fe’ axis. The calculated bond dissociation energies for the loss of both Fe(CO)5 ligands from the cations [M{Fe(CO)5}2]+ show the order M=Au (De=137.2 kcal mol−1)>Cu (De=109.0 kcal mol−1)>Ag (De=92.4 kcal mol−1). The QTAIM analysis shows bond paths and bond critical points for the M−Fe linkage but not between M and the CO ligands. The EDA-NOCV calculations suggest that the [Fe(CO)5]→M+←[Fe(CO)5] donation is significantly stronger than the [Fe(CO)5]←M+→[Fe(CO)5] backdonation. Inspection of the pairwise orbital interactions identifies four contributions for the charge donation of the Fe(CO)5 ligands into the vacant (n)s and (n)p AOs of M+ and five components for the backdonation from the occupied (n-1)d AOs of M+ into vacant ligand orbitals. 相似文献

Studies on molecular co-crystal type materials are important in the design and preparation of easy-to-absorb drugs, non-centrosymmetric, and chiral crystals for optical performance, liquid crystals, or plastic phases. From a fundamental point of view, such studies also provide useful information on various supramolecular synthons and molecular ordering, including metric parameters, molecular matching, energetical hierarchy, and combinatorial potential, appealing to the rational design of functional materials through structure–properties–application schemes. Co-crystal salts involving anionic d-metallate coordination complexes are moderately explored (compared to the generality of co-crystals), and in this context, we present a new series of isomorphous co-crystalline salts (PPh4)3[M(CN)6](H3PG)2·2MeCN (M = Cr, 1; Fe, 2; Co 3; H3PG = phloroglucinol, 1,3,5-trihydroxobenzene). In this study, 1–3 were characterized experimentally using SC XRD, Hirshfeld analysis, ESI-MS spectrometry, vibrational IR and Raman, 57Fe Mössbauer, electronic absorption UV-Vis-NIR, and photoluminescence spectroscopies, and theoretically with density functional theory calculations. The two-dimensional square grid-like hydrogen-bond {[M(CN)6]3−;(H3PG)2}∞ network features original {[M(CN)6]3−;(H3PG)4} supramolecular cis-bis(chelate) motifs involving: (i) two double cyclic hydrogen bond synthons M(-CN⋅⋅⋅HO-)2Ar, {[M(CN)6]3−;H2PGH}, between cis-oriented cyanido ligands of [M(CN)6]3− and resorcinol-like face of H3PG, and (ii) two single hydrogen bonds M-CN⋅⋅⋅HO-Ar, {[M(CN)6]3−;HPGH2}, involving the remaining two cyanide ligands. The occurrence of the above tectonic motif is discussed with regard to the relevant data existing in the CCDC database, including the multisite H-bond binding of [M(CN)6]3− by organic species, mononuclear coordination complexes, and polynuclear complexes. The physicochemical and computational characterization discloses notable spectral modifications under the regime of an extended hydrogen bond network. 相似文献

The structural stability and bonding energies of the neutral noble gas molecules FNgX and their anions FNgX? (Ng = He, Ar, Kr; X = O, S) are discussed at the CCSD(T)/aug‐cc‐pVnZ (n = D, T) levels. Results reveal that only two neutral FKrX molecules are stable, whereas their FHeX and FArX counterparts are not. All their anions are stable and the stability mainly derives from the contribution of the extra electron, i.e., the attachment of the electron greatly enhances the orbital interactions of two bonds, F? Ng and Ng? X. Different from the anion counterparts, the electrostatic interaction energy plays a crucial role in the FKrX stability. Compared with those unstable FHeX and FArX counterparts, the enough charge distribution over each atom of FKrX ensures the effective bonding between F and Kr, and between Kr and X, consequently strengthen the stability of the neutral FKrX (X = O, S) structures. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Although natural or artificial modified pyrimidine nucleobases represent important molecules with valuable properties as constituents of DNA and RNA, no systematic analyses of the structural aspects of bromo derivatives of cytosine have appeared so far in the literature. In view of the biochemical and pharmaceutical relevance of these compounds, six different crystals containing proton-transfer derivatives of 5-bromocytosine are prepared and analyzed in the solid-state by single crystal X-ray diffraction. All six compounds are organic salts, with proton transfer occurring to the Nimino atom of the pyridine ring. Experimental results are then complemented with Hirshfeld surface analysis to quantitively evaluate the contribution of different intermolecular interactions in the crystal packing. Furthermore, theoretical calculations, based on different arrangements of molecules extracted from the crystal structure determinations, are carried out to analyze the formation mechanism of halogen bonds (XBs) in these compounds and provide insights into the nature and strength of the observed interactions. The results show that the supramolecular architectures of the six molecular salts involve extensive classical intermolecular hydrogen bonds. However, in all but one proton-transfer adducts, weak to moderate XBs are revealed by C–Br…O short contacts between the bromine atom in the fifth position, which acts as XB donor (electron acceptor). Moreover, the lone pair electrons of the oxygen atom of adjacent pyrimidine nucleobases and/or counterions or water molecules, which acts as XB acceptor (electron donor). 相似文献

Ab initio calculations are used to provide information on H3N???XY???HF triads (X, Y=F, Cl, Br) each having a halogen bond and a hydrogen bond. The investigated triads include H3N???Br2‐HF, H3N???Cl2???HF, H3N???BrCI???HF, H3N???BrF???HF, and H3N???ClF???HF. To understand the properties of the systems better, the corresponding dyads are also investigated. Molecular geometries, binding energies, and infrared spectra of monomers, dyads, and triads are studied at the MP2 level of theory with the 6‐311++G(d,p) basis set. Because the primary aim of this study is to examine cooperative effects, particular attention is given to parameters such as cooperative energies, many‐body interaction energies, and cooperativity factors. The cooperative energy ranges from ?1.45 to ?4.64 kcal mol?1, the three‐body interaction energy from ?2.17 to ?6.71 kcal mol?1, and the cooperativity factor from 1.27 to 4.35. These results indicate significant cooperativity between the halogen and hydrogen bonds in these complexes. This cooperativity is much greater than that between hydrogen bonds. The effect of a halogen bond on a hydrogen bond is more pronounced than that of a hydrogen bond on a halogen bond. 相似文献

Preparation and Characterization of [Pt(mal)2]2? and trans-[Pt(mal)2X2]2? (X = Cl, Br, I, SCN) By twofold treatment of K2[PtCl4] with potassium hydrogen malonate in a queous solution the yellow K2[Pt(mal)2] · H2O is obtained. After extraction with tetrabutylammonium ions into dichloromethane by oxidative addition at ?90°C the PtIV complexes [Pt(mal)2X2]2?, X = Cl, Br, I, SCN, are formed. The SCN ligands are coordinated to Pt via S. The IR and Raman spectra are discussed and assigned. 相似文献

[PdCl4]2− dianions are oriented within a crystal in such a way that a Cl of one unit approaches the Pd of another from directly above. Quantum calculations find this interaction to be highly repulsive with a large positive interaction energy. The placement of neutral ligands in their vicinity reduces the repulsion, but the interaction remains highly endothermic. When the ligands acquire a unit positive charge, the electrostatic component and the full interaction energy become quite negative, signalling an exothermic association. Raising the charge on these counterions to +2 has little further stabilizing effect, and in fact reduces the electrostatic attraction. The ability of the counterions to promote the interaction is attributed in part to the H-bonds which they form with both dianions, acting as a sort of glue. 相似文献

Preparation of trans-[Pt(ox)2X2]2? (X = Cl, Br, I, SCN, OH) by Oxidative Addition to [Pt(ox)2]2? in Organic Solvents After extraction of [Pt(ox)2]2? with long-chain alkyl-ammonium ions into organic solvents the new PtIV complexes trans-[Pt(ox)2X2]2?, X = Cl, Br, I, SCN, OH, are formed directly by oxidative addition. In nonpolar solvents the bulky organic cations prevent the formation of compounds with columnar structure which by partial oxidation in aqueous solution are formed immediately. The IR and Ra spectra of the stable anhydrous (TBA) salts are assigned according to point group D2h. A characteristical dependence of the C?O, C? O, and Pt? O stretching modes in response to the oxidation state of the central ion is observed. There is vibrational fine structure in the absorption spectrum of [Pt(ox)2]2? measured at 10 K with long progressions by coupling of d—d transitions with vs(Pt? O) and vs(C?O). The characteristical feature in the UV/VIS spectra of the PtIV complexes is caused by intensive π(O, X) ← eg(Pt) CT transitions. 相似文献

The C?H???Y (Y=hydrogen‐bond acceptor) interactions are somewhat unconventional in the context of hydrogen‐bonding interactions. Typical C?H stretching frequency shifts in the hydrogen‐bond donor C?H group are not only small, that is, of the order of a few tens of cm?1, but also bidirectional, that is, they can be red or blue shifted depending on the hydrogen‐bond acceptor. In this work we examine the C?H???N interaction in complexes of 7‐azaindole with CHCl3 and CHF3 that are prepared in the gas phase through supersonic jet expansion using the fluorescence depletion by infra‐red (FDIR) method. Although the hydrogen‐bond acceptor, 7‐azaindole, has multiple sites of interaction, it is found that the C?H???N hydrogen‐bonding interaction prevails over the others. The electronic excitation spectra suggest that both complexes are more stabilized in the S1 state than in the S0 state. The C?H stretching frequency is found to be red shifted by 82 cm?1 in the CHCl3 complex, which is the largest redshift reported so far in gas‐phase investigations of 1:1 haloform complexes with various substrates. In the CHF3 complex the observed C?H frequency is blue shifted by 4 cm?1. This is at variance with the frequency shifts that are predicted using several computational methods; these predict at best a redshift of 8.5 cm?1. This discrepancy is analogous to that reported for the pyridine‐CHF3 complex [W. A. Herrebout, S. M. Melikova, S. N. Delanoye, K. S. Rutkowski, D. N. Shchepkin, B. J. van der Veken, J. Phys. Chem. A 2005 , 109, 3038], in which the blueshift is termed a pseudo blueshift and is shown to be due to the shifting of levels caused by Fermi resonance between the overtones of the C?H bending and stretching modes. The dissociation energies, (D0), of the CHCl3 and CHF3 complexes are computed (MP2/aug‐cc‐pVDZ level) as 6.46 and 5.06 kcal mol?1, respectively. 相似文献

A series of [Au2(nixantphos)2](X)2 (nixantphos=4,6‐bis(diphenylphosphino)‐phenoxazine; X=NO3, 1 ; CF3COO, 2 ; CF3SO3, 3 ; [Au(CN)2], 4 ; and BF4, 5 ) complexes that exhibit intriguing anion‐switchable and stimuli‐responsive luminescent photophysical properties have been synthesized and characterized. Depending on their anions, these complexes display yellow ( 3 ), orange ( 4 and 5 ), and red ( 1 and 2 ) emission colors. They exhibit reversible thermo‐, mechano‐, and vapochromic luminescence changes readily perceivable by the naked eye. Single‐crystal X‐ray studies show that the [Au2(nixantphos)2]2+ cations with short intramolecular Au ??? Au interactions are involved as donors in an infinite N?H ??? X (X=O and N) hydrogen‐bonded chain formation with CF3COO? ( 2 C ) and aurophilically linked [Au(CN)2]? counterions ( 4 C ). Both crystals show thermochromic luminescence; their room temperature red ( 2 C ) and orange ( 4 C ) emission turns into yellow upon cooling to 77 K. They also exhibit reversible mechanochromic luminescence by changing their emission color from red to dark ( 2 C ), and orange to red ( 4 C ). Compounds 1 – 5 also display reversible mechanochromic luminescence, altering their emission colors between orange ( 1 ) or red ( 2 ) to dark, as well as between yellow ( 3 ) or orange ( 4 and 5 ) to red. Detailed photophysical investigations and correlation with solid‐state structural data established the significant role of N?H ??? X interactions in the stimuli‐responsive luminescent behavior. 相似文献
