托卡马克等离子体的三角形变和拉长比对约束和磁流体稳定性有很强的影响,因此在托卡马克装置极向场设计中,在基于物理和工程考虑所预先选定的等离子体平衡位形几何参数下,如何优化确定外部极向场线圈位置和电流,是一个具有重要实际意义的研究课题.为优化确定托卡马克极向场线圈,给出了一个有效的多变量平衡优化方法,能以事先规定的等离子体平衡位形的一些几何参数为目标函数,优化确定极向场线圈位置和电流.并应用它于HT-7U平衡位形计算,得到了所需的结果. 关键词: 等离子体平衡 极向场线圈 优化  相似文献

The experimental advanced superconducting tokamak (EAST) is the first full superconducting tokamak with a D-shaped cross-sectional plasma presently in operation. Its poloidal coils are relatively far from the plasma due to the necessary thermal isolation from the superconducting magnets, which leads to relatively weaker coupling between plasma and poloidal field. This may cause more di?culties in controlling the vertical instability by using the poloidal coils. The measured growth rates of vertical stability are compared with theoretical calculations, based on a rigid plasma model. Poloidal beta and internal inductance are varied to investigate their effects on the stability margin by changing the values of parameters αn and γn(Howl et al 1992 Phys. Fluids B 4 1724), with plasma shape fixed to be a configuration with k = 1.9 and δ = 0.5. A number of ways of studying the stability margin are investigated. Among them, changing the values of parameters κ and li is shown to be the most effective way to increase the stability margin. Finally, a guideline of stability margin Ms(κ,li,A) to a new discharge scenario showing whether plasmas can be stabilized is also presented in this paper.  相似文献

数值研究平衡电流位形对电阻壁模式稳定性的影响.研究发现,对于不同的电流位形,当等离子体边缘处安全因子一定时,最不稳定的电阻壁模的环向模数和极向模数相同.在同一壁位置下,非均匀电流位形驱动的电阻壁模的线性增长率比均匀电流位驱动的电阻壁模的线性增长率大.等离子体速度流在不同的初始电流位形下对电阻壁模稳定性的影响不同.由于磁力线在壁上的挤压,经过线性演化后,电阻壁模进入非线性演化并达到饱和状态,非均匀电流位形下的扰动磁能比均匀电流位形下的扰动磁能饱和度低.  相似文献

It is necessary to reduce the currents of poloidal field(PF) coils as small as possible, during the static equilibrium design procedure of Experimental Advanced Superconductive Tokamak(EAST). The quasi-snowflake(QSF) divertor configuration is studied in this paper. Starting from a standard QSF plasma equilibrium, a new QSF equilibrium with 300 kA total plasma current is designed. In order to reduce the currents of PF6 and PF14, the influence of plasma shape on PF coil current distribution is analyzed. A fixed boundary equilibrium solver based on a non-rigid plasma model is used to calculate the flux distribution and PF coil current distribution. Then the plasma shape parameters are studied by the orthogonal method. According to the result, the plasma shape is redefined, and the calculated equilibrium shows that the currents of PF6 and PF14 are reduced by 3.592 kA and 2.773 kA, respectively.  相似文献

Electrostatic drift turbulence of the edge plasma in the CASTOR tokamak is studied numerically by using the Hasegawa-Wakatani equations. The fluctuations of plasma density and potential as well as the corresponding fluctuation-induced particle flux are calculated for regimes with various plasma poloidal flows. Results of numerical simulations are in a reasonable agreement with experimental results.  相似文献

In this contribution, we have presented two techniques for the determination of plasma equilibrium position in IR-T1 tokamak: relaxation and optical methods. An analysis method of tokamak plasma equilibrium by a relaxation method with a specified magnetic axis is presented. The degrees of freedom due to designated positions of the magnetic axis are possible by using poloidal field coil currents. Stable steady-state tokamak plasma equilibria are calculated along with the magnetohydrodynamic potential energy. The plasma generates a plasma current which partially or fully cancels the magnetic field from the poloidal field coils. For low-temperature plasmas, the plasma current distribution is centrally peaked; for high-temperature plasmas, the plasma current has a hole. A centrally peaked current distribution in a low-temperature plasma is evolved into a current distribution with a hole by increasing the plasma pressure by Ohmic heating, radio frequency heating, or by neutral beam injection heating. In the second technique, an image-processing technique was used for the output signal of the charge coupled device camera and plasma emission intensity profile and then the plasma position was obtained. The efficient and safe operation of large fusion devices strongly relies on the plasma configuration inside the vacuum chamber.It is important to construct the proper plasma equilibrium with a desired plasma configuration.In order to construct the target configuration,a shape constraint module has been developed in the tokamak simulation code(TSC),which controls the poloidal flux and the magnetic field at several defined control points.It is used to construct the double null,lower single null,and quasi-snowflake configurations for the required target shape and calculate the required PF coils current.The flexibility and practicability of this method have been verified by the simulated results.  相似文献

Oblate field-reversed configuration (FRC) plasmas are sustained for up to 350 micros, or approximately 15 poloidal flux-confinement times, in the magnetic reconnection experiment. The diamagnetic equilibrium is maintained in argon plasmas as a balance of an inward pinch and outward diffusion. Numerical and analytic models show that the observed stability is provided by a combination of plasma shaping, magnetic diffusion, and finite-Larmor radius effects. FRCs formed with lighter ions, which benefit less from these stabilizing effects, succumb to rapid instability and cannot be sustained.  相似文献

The stability of a general toroidal magnetohydrostatic equilibrium configuration surrounded by a vacuccum is re-investigated. The “peeling” criterion given perviously has been improved. In the case of axisymmetry with vanishing poloidal current the new form of the criterion requires vanishing of the toroidal current at the edge of the plasma.  相似文献

Edge plasma properties in a tokamak is an interesting subject of study from the view point of confinement and stability of tokamak plasma. The edge plasma of SINP-tokamak has been investigated using specially designed Langmuir probes. We have observed a poloidal asymmetry of floating potentials, particularly the top-bottom floating potential differences are quite noticeable, which in turn produces a vertical electric field (Ev). This Ev remains throughout the discharge but changes its direction at certain point of time which seems to depend on applied vertical magnetic field (Bv).  相似文献

根据HL- 2A 装置的结构特点, 提出了HL- 2A 装置偏滤器系统改造的基本方向。对HL- 2A 极向场线圈系统进行了优化设计, 计算了单零平衡位形, 进行了开放式偏滤器的结构设计, 并对新的偏滤器系统进行了热分析和结构分析。结果表明, 新的偏滤器系统新的偏滤器系统能够满足具有一定拉长比和三角形变的等离子体放电要求。  相似文献

本文讨论了环流器等离子体在快加热过程中位形演变的近似描述问题。对两类重要的通量守恒演变系列,即绝热压缩和非压缩快加热,具体计算了平衡解。假定等离子体截面形状有任意的小变形,但初态位形只有一个椭圆磁轴,所用近似方法基于对反环径比展开。结果表明,这一方法可以成功地描述绝热压缩演变系列;对非压缩快加热,在磁轴位移不很大时,所得结果与严格的二维通量守恒解是相符的。 关键词:  相似文献

本文叙述了HT-6A托卡马克平衡系统及第一期平衡实验结果.讨论了HT-6A上铜壳对平衡的贡献;观察到改变垂直场形态因子n而产生的水平位移及垂直位移不稳定现象;介绍了正常放电时的平衡实验,观察到等离子体位移与MHD扰动是紧密相连的;用沙弗拉诺夫薄壳理论计算了对多大的等离子体电流应施加多大的垂直场,结果与实验完全符合。  相似文献

The concept of topological or structural stability is introduced and its importance in the magnetic confinement of plasmas is discussed. Topological stability requires the presence of a pair of limit cycles in the magnetic field configuration. This paper deals with the design of an experimental device possessing limit cycles. The design includes a high beta (? ? 1), high density (~1016), hot (~100 eV) hygrogen plasma which is to be compressed by a factor of about 5 in a toroidal device of 25 cm average major radius with a capacitor bank rise time of less than 2 ?sec. Two shaped toroidal coils with opposing currents and the poloidal compression coils have been designed to give a pressure balance equilibrium and establish the limit cycles. This device could be used to determine the physical significance of topological stability in plasma confinement.  相似文献

An analytic MHD equilibrium for an axisymmetric torodial plasma with toroidal and toroidal flow is obtained in the limit of small ratio of poloidal to toroidal magnetic field and small beta. 通过脉冲放电方式产生三维螺旋形的等离子体放电通道,在高速摄像机拍摄下观察到放电通道中的发光电离体以流注形式沿螺旋轨迹快速传播.建立电磁模型解释螺旋放电的形成机制,对造成对称性破缺及影响其手性性质的极向电场进行分析.研究表明,螺旋放电产生的放电通道存在两种不同的手性特征,而脉冲重复频率等放电参数及边界条件对螺旋流注的传播特性存在影响.脉冲电源驱动的电磁场在介质管内所形成的波模是极向电场形成的一个重要来源,当极向电场与轴向电场强度相近时则形成螺旋流注放电.  相似文献

In a fusion experiment based on the single-turn tokamak concept, the plasma is surrounded by a massive conducting structure composed of several layers of material with different resistivities. This conducting shell is located near the plasma edge and is magnetically coupled to the plasma column. The plasma magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equilibrium is studied by neglecting the effect of structural induced currents. Eddy current effects are then analyzed. Poloidal uniformization of the poloidal field magnet current distribution required for plasma equilibrium is demonstrated. The possibility of continuous-limiter discharges in a single-turn tokamak configuration is pointed out. The significance of these results for the operation of a high-current tokamak experiment is discussed  相似文献

Self‐organized dust structures are investigated using a Gurevich‐Parker model for non‐linear dust screening. The non‐linear dust drag coefficients and non‐linear diffusion coefficients are calculated numerically as functions of nonlinear parameter for screening, dust density and ion flux drift velocity. Nonlinear ion dust drag inside the structures creates an electric field with potential well for ions at the structure center. The equilibrium dust structures confine both the dust grains and the plasma particles, have a finite size and have inside an enhanced dust and ion densities. The necessary conditions for existence of equilibrium dust structures are found. The equilibrium dust structures are determined by two global parameters related to the external plasma flux and to the power of ionization. The equilibrium exist only in a restricted phase space of these two parameters and depends on the the drag coefficient at the structure center. The equilibrium requirements are found using non‐linear drag coefficient calculated numerically. It is shown that this phase space area can be broad but it is systematically decreasing with an increase of the ionization rate. It is found that equilibrium exists for dust structures with large dust and ion density concentration at the center and that for these structures the ion diffusion is strongly suppressed by ion scattering on non‐linearly screened grains. The results of the theory can be used to interpret the recently observed compact dust structures in micro‐gravity experiments and can provide some recommendations for future micro‐gravity experiments in spherical chambers (© 2011 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
