We study the large time asymptotic behavior of solutions to the Kadomtsev–Petviashvili equations $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll} u_{t} + u_{xxx} + \sigma \partial_{x}^{-1}u_{yy} = -\partial_{x}u^{2}, \quad \quad (x, y) \in {\bf R}^{2}, t \in {\bf R},\\ u(0, x, y) = u_{0}( x, y), \, \quad \quad \qquad \qquad (x, y) \in {\bf R}^{2},\end{array}\right.$$ where σ = ±1 and \({\partial_{x}^{-1} = \int_{-\infty}^{x}dx^{\prime} }\) . We prove that the large time asymptotics of the derivative u x of the solution has a quasilinear character.  相似文献

We study the final problem for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation
$i{\partial }_{t}u+\frac{1}{2}\Delta u=\lambda|u|^{\frac{2}{n}}u,\quad (t,x)\in {\mathbf{R}}\times \mathbf{R}^{n},$
where\(\lambda \in{\bf R},n=1,2,3\). If the final data\(u_{+}\in {\bf H}^{0,\alpha }=\left\{ \phi \in {\bf L}^{2}:\left( 1+\left\vert x\right\vert \right) ^{\alpha }\phi \in {\bf L}^{2}\right\} \) with\(\frac{ n}{2} < \alpha < \min \left( n,2,1+\frac{2}{n}\right) \) and the norm\(\Vert \widehat{u_{+}}\Vert _{{\bf L}^{\infty }}\) is sufficiently small, then we prove the existence of the wave operator in L 2. We also construct the modified scattering operator from H 0,α to H 0,δ with\(\frac{n}{2} < \delta < \alpha\).

Moments of the hadronic invariant mass and of the lepton energy spectra in semileptonic B decays have been determined with the data recorded by the DELPHI detector at LEP. From measurements of the inclusive b-hadron semileptonic decays, and imposing constraints from other measurements on b- and c-quark masses, the first three moments of the lepton energy distribution and of the hadronic mass distribution, have been used to determine parameters which enter into the extraction of |Vcb| from the measurement of the inclusive b-hadron semileptonic decay width. The values obtained in the kinetic scheme are: and include corrections at order 1/mb3. Using these results, and present measurements of the inclusive semileptonic decay partial width of b-hadrons at LEP, an accurate determination of |Vcb| is obtained: Received: 26 April 2005, Revised: 16 September 2005, Published online: 16 November 2005  相似文献

We study the initial value problem for the two-dimensional nonlinear nonlocal Schrödinger equations i ut + u = N(v), (t, x, y) R3, u(0, x, y) = u0(x, y), (x, y) R2 (A), where the Laplacian = 2 x + 2 y, the solution u is a complex valued function, the nonlinear term N = N1 + N2 consists of the local nonlinear part N1(v) which is cubic with respect to the vector v=(u,ux,uy,\overline{u},\overline{u}_{x},\overline{u}_{y}) in the neighborhood of the origin, and the nonlocal nonlinear part N2(v) =(v, – 1 x Kx(v)) + (v, – 1 y Ky(v)), where (, ) denotes the inner product, and the vectors Kx (C4(C6; C))6 and Ky (C4(C6; C))6 are quadratic with respect to the vector v in the neighborhood of the origin. We assume that the components K(2) x = K(4) x 0, K(3) y = K(6) y 0. In particular, Equation (A) includes two physical examples appearing in fluid dynamics. The elliptic–hyperbolic Davey–Stewartson system can be reduced to Equation (A) with , and all the rest components of the vectors Kx and Ky are equal to zero. The elliptic–hyperbolic Ishimori system is involved in Equation (A), when , and . Our purpose in this paper is to prove the local existence in time of small solutions to the Cauchy problem (A) in the usual Sobolev space, and the global-in-time existence of small solutions to the Cauchy problem (A) in the weighted Sobolev space under some conditions on the complex conjugate structure of the nonlinear terms, namely if N(ei v) = ei N(v) for all R.  相似文献

Dispersed fluorescence from fragments formed after the de-excitation of the 1s-1π* resonances of N*O and NO* has been measured in the spectral range of 118–142 nm. This range is dominated by lines of atomic nitrogen and oxygen fragments and by the bands in the NO+ ion which result from the participator Auger decay of the 1s-1π* resonances. Ab-initio calculations of the transition probabilities between vibrational levels during the reaction NO N*O ⇒ NO were used to explain the observed intensity dependence for the fluorescence bands on the exciting-photon energy across the resonances and on both v and v′′ vibrational quantum numbers. The multiplet structure of the 1s-1π* resonance and lifetime vibrational interference explain the observed exciting-photon energy dependence of the fluorescence intensity. A strong spin-orbit coupling between singlet and triplet states of NO+ is proposed to reduce additional cascade population of the state via radiative transitions from the and states and to explain remaining differences between measured and calculated integral fluorescence intensities.  相似文献

GLh(n) ×GLh(m)-covariant (hh)-bosonic[or (hh)-fermionic] algebras are built in terms of thecorresponding Rh and -matrices by contracting theGLq(n) × -covariant q-bosonic (or q-fermionic) algebras , = 1, 2.When using a basis of wherein theannihilation operators are contragredient to thecreation ones, this contraction procedure can be carried out for any n, m values. Whenemploying instead a basis wherein the annihilationoperators, like the creation ones, are irreducibletensor operators with respect to the dual quantumalgebra Uq(gl(n)) , a contraction limit only exists forn, m {1, 2, 4, 6, . . .}. For n = 2, m = 1, andn = m = 2, the resulting relations can be expressed interms of coupled (anti)commutators (as in the classical case), by usingUh(sl(2)) [instead of s1(2)] Clebsch-Gordancoefficients. Some Uh(sl(2)) rank-1/2irreducible tensor operators recently constructed byAizawa are shown to provide a realization of (2, 1).  相似文献

For Lax-pair isospectral deformations whose associated spectrum, for given initial data, consists of the disjoint union of a finitely denumerable discrete spectrum (solitons) and a continuous spectrum (continuum), the matrix Riemann–Hilbert problem approach is used to derive the leading-order asymptotics as of solutions to the Cauchy problem for the defocusing nonlinear Schrödinger equation ( NLSE), , with finite-density initial data
.The NLSE dark soliton position shifts in the presence of the continuum are also obtained.  相似文献

The problem of quantum tunneling through the singular potential barrier \(V(x) = \left\{ {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {V_0 (b/x - x/a)^2 ,} & {0 < \left| x \right| \leqslant \sqrt {ab} } \\ {0,} & {\left| x \right| > \sqrt {ab} } \\ \end{array} } \right.\) is discussed on the subject of the possibility to replace the singular behavior of the problem at the point x = 0 by a limiting process at the top of the truncated potential. The validity of such a replacement and, on this basis, the zero transparency of the quantum potential barrier are shown.  相似文献

For a compact connected orientablen-manifoldM, n 3, we study the structure ofclassical superspace ,quantum superspace ,classical conformal superspace , andquantum conformal superspace . The study of the structure of these spaces is motivated by questions involving reduction of the usual canonical Hamiltonian formulation of general relativity to a non-degenerate Hamiltonian formulation, and to questions involving the quantization of the gravitational field. We show that if the degree of symmetry ofM is zero, thenS,S 0,C, andC 0 areilh orbifolds. The case of most importance for general relativity is dimensionn=3. In this case, assuming that the extended Poincaré conjecture is true, we show that quantum superspaceS 0 and quantum conformal superspaceC 0 are in factilh-manifolds. If, moreover,M is a Haken manifold, then quantum superspace and quantum conformal superspace arecontractible ilh-manifolds. In this case, there are no Gribov ambiguities for the configuration spacesS 0 andC 0. Our results are applicable to questions involving the problem of thereduction of Einstein's vacuum equations and to problems involving quantization of the gravitational field. For the problem of reduction, one searches for a way to reduce the canonical Hamiltonian formulation together with its constraint equations to an unconstrained Hamiltonian system on a reduced phase space. For the problem of quantum gravity, the spaceC 0 will play a natural role in any quantization procedure based on the use of conformal methods and the reduced Hamiltonian formulation.  相似文献

An electric Molecular-Beam-Resonance-Spectrometer has been used to measure simultanously the Zeeman- and Stark-effect splitting of the hyperfine structure of39K19 F. Electric four pole lenses served as focusing and refocusing fields of the spectrometer. A homogenous magnetic field (Zeeman field) was superimposed to the electric field (Stark field) in the transition region of the apparatus. The observed (Δm J =±1)-transitions were induced electrically. Completely resolved spectra of KF in theJ=1 rotational state have been measured. The obtained quantities are: The electric dipolmomentμ e l of the molecul forv=0,1 and 2; the rotational magnetic dipolmomentμ J forv=0,1; the difference of the magnetic shielding (σ ? σ) by the electrons of both nuclei as well as the difference of the molecular susceptibility (ξ ? ξ). The numerical values are

The expression for free carrier Faraday rotation and for ellipticity , as the function of the applied parallel static electric field and static magnetic field for a given value of wave angular frequency and electron concentration N0, are obtained and theoretically analyzed with the aid of one-dimensional linearized wave theory and Kane's non-parabolic isotropic dispersion law. It is shown that the maximum Faraday rotation occurs near the cyclotron resonance condition, which can be expressed as , where , , and . Here m* and e denote the effective mass and charge of electron, respectively. g is the forbidden bandgap of semiconductor. v0 is the carrier drift velocity, which is a non-linear function of E0 in high field condition. A possibility of a simple way of determining the non-linear v0 vs E0 characteristics of semiconductors by the measurement of Faraday rotation is also discussed.  相似文献

Neutrino interactions with two muons in the final state have been studied using the Fermilab narrow band beam. A sample of 18v μ like sign dimuon events withP μ>9 GeV/c yields 6.6±4.8 events after backgroud subtraction and a prompt rate of (1.0±0.7)×10?4 per single muon event. The kinematics of these events are compared with those of the non-prompt sources. A total of 437v μ and 31 \(\bar v_\mu \) opposite sign dimuon events withP μ>4.3 GeV/c are used to measure the strange quark content of the nucleon: \(\kappa = {{2s} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{2s} {\left( {\bar u + \bar d} \right) = 0.52_{ - 0.15}^{ + 0.17} \left( {or\eta _s \frac{{2s}}{{u + d}} = 0.075 \pm 0.019} \right) for 100< E_v< 230 GeV\left( {\left\langle {Q^2 } \right\rangle = {{23 GeV^2 } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{23 GeV^2 } {c^2 }}} \right. \kern-0em} {c^2 }}} \right)}}} \right. \kern-0em} {\left( {\bar u + \bar d} \right) = 0.52_{ - 0.15}^{ + 0.17} \left( {or\eta _s \frac{{2s}}{{u + d}} = 0.075 \pm 0.019} \right) for 100< E_v< 230 GeV\left( {\left\langle {Q^2 } \right\rangle = {{23 GeV^2 } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{23 GeV^2 } {c^2 }}} \right. \kern-0em} {c^2 }}} \right)}}\) using a charm semileptonic branching ratio of (10.9±1.4)% extracted from measurements ine + e ? collisions and neutrino emulsion data.  相似文献

In this paper we give a new integrable hierarchy. In the hierarchy there are the following representatives:
The first two are the positive members of the hierarchy, and the first equation was a reduction of an integrable (2+1)-dimensional system (see B. G. Konopelchenko and V. G. Dubrovsky, Phys. Lett. A 102 (1984), 15–17). The third one is the first negative member. All nonlinear equations in the hierarchy are shown to have 3×3 Lax pairs through solving a key 3×3 matrix equation, and therefore they are integrable. Under a constraint between the potential function and eigenfunctions, the 3×3 Lax pair and its adjoint representation are nonlinearized to be two Liouville-integrable Hamiltonian systems. On the basis of the integrability of 6N-dimensional systems we give the parametric solution of all positive members in the hierarchy. In particular, we obtain the parametric solution of the equation u t =5 x u –2/3. Finally, we present the traveling wave solutions (TWSs) of the above three representative equations. The TWSs of the first two equations have singularities, but the TWS of the 3rd one is continuous. The parametric solution of the 5th-order equation u t =5 x u –2/3 can not contain its singular TWS. We also analyse Gaussian initial solutions for the equations u t =5 x u –2/3, and u xxt +3u xx u x +u xxx u=0. Both of them are stable.  相似文献

Al, F-doped new perovskite lithium ion conductors (x=0.11) have been prepared by solid state reaction. It is found that a pure perovskite-structured phase with space group of P4mm(99) exits in the composition range of 0<y≤0.10. The sample with y=0.02 possesses the highest ionic conductivity of 1.06×10−3 S/cm at room temperature, and its decomposing voltage is 2.3 V. For a one-dimensional Ising model with interaction energy $$E\left\{ \mu \right\} = - \sum\limits_{1 \leqslant i< j \leqslant N} {J(j - i)} \mu _\iota \mu _j \left[ {J(k) \geqslant 0,\mu _\iota = \pm 1} \right]$$ it is proved that there is no long-range order at any temperature when $$S_N = \sum\limits_{k = 1}^N {kJ\left( k \right) = o} \left( {[\log N]^{{1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 2}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} 2}} } \right)$$ The same result is shown to hold for the corresponding plane rotator model when $$S_N = o\left( {\left[ {{{\log N} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\log N} {\log \log N}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\log \log N}}} \right]} \right)$$   相似文献

We study the asymptotic behavior of the appropriately scaled and possibly perturbed spectral measure of large random real symmetric matrices with heavy tailed entries. Specifically, consider the N × N symmetric matrix whose (i, j) entry is , where (x ij , 1 ≤ ij < ∞) is an infinite array of i.i.d real variables with common distribution in the domain of attraction of an α-stable law, , and σ is a deterministic function. For random diagonal D N independent of and with appropriate rescaling a N , we prove that converges in mean towards a limiting probability measure which we characterize. As a special case, we derive and analyze the almost sure limiting spectral density for empirical covariance matrices with heavy tailed entries.
