谐振腔能以较低的输入功率获得较高的非线性转换效率,其代价是带宽方面的限制,围绕微环谐振腔实现倍频效应中影响转换效率的因素,分析了耦合系数、折射率变化、相位失配等对转换带宽的影响,讨论了基于AlGaAs的人工双折射微环谐振腔实现基频光波波长为1840 nm时倍频效应的转换带宽.  相似文献

We demonstrate four-wave mixing in silicon-on-insulator coupled-resonator optical waveguides consisting of 35 and 65 microring resonators, using a cw pump with coupled power below 20 mW and observed parametric conversion across more than 10 THz. The conversion efficiency is enhanced by +16 dB relative to a silicon straight waveguide of equivalent length, due to the slowing factor of the coupled-resonator structure.  相似文献

Over the last fifteen years, a series of theoretical and experimental investigations have demonstrated the usefulness of circular geometries to tailor second‐order nonlinear optical effects. However, until recently, such effects have remained rather weak, calling for their enhancement. In parallel, developments in the field of high quality factor spherical or ring resonators have shown that many different types of light‐matter interactions can be dramatically amplified when light is coupled in the whispering gallery modes of such resonators. In high‐quality spherical micro‐resonators, close to one million interactions can occur between a nonlinear molecule and a circulating light pulse. Recent research on nonlinear optics in spherical geometry is reviewed, from micrometer‐size spheres to whispering gallery mode resonators.  相似文献

分析了多光子晶体谐振腔的并联耦合模理论,并根据该理论设计了单通道光子晶体侧面耦合波导以实现光子晶体器件与光源间的高效耦合。理论研究表明并联谐振腔的耦合效率与谐振腔数量、间距以及品质因子相关。经优化耦合面积和耦合效率,最终选择了5个谐振腔并联作为单通道侧面耦合波导的耦合部分。通过设置谐振腔间距改变其对称性,从而实现侧面耦合波导的单通道传播。在1.55μm工作波长下,单通道侧面耦合波导的耦合效率可达94.49%。  相似文献

We study the nonlinear phase response of a microring resonator coupled to a bus waveguide and the use of this nonlinear phase shift to store information in the microring resonator and enhance the switching characteristics of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI). By introducing coupling between adjacent microring resonators, the switching characteristics of the MZI can be exponentially enhanced as a function of the number of microring resonators, when compared to the linear enhancement for uncoupled resonators. With only a few moderate-finesse microring resonators, the switching power can be reduced to attowatt level, allowing for photonic switching devices that operate at single-photon level in ordinary optical waveguides.   相似文献

Earlier, a wave theory of high-speed cutting was proposed. According to this theory, a layer being removed and a cutting edge are considered as acoustic resonators excited by a flexural mode. The resonators are coupled through nonlinear contact stiffness. This paper elaborates upon the earlier theory and gives it an experimental substantiation. Selection of a high-speed turning regime optimal for the quality of the tooled surface on the basis of the wave theory is discussed.  相似文献

为了扩展谐振管内非线性驻波在工程中的应用, 以及克服现有数值计算方法仅局限于求解直圆柱形和指数形谐振管内非线性驻波的问题. 根据变截面的非稳态可压缩热黏性流体Navier-Stokes方程和空间守恒方程, 并基于求解压力速度耦合方程的半隐式算法和交错网格技术, 构建一种能够计算任意形状轴对称谐振管受活塞驱动时内部非线性驻波的有限体积算法. 分别对圆柱形、指数形和圆锥形谐振管内的非线性驻波进行仿真计算. 通过与现有试验结果以及数值仿真结果的对比, 验证了该方法的正确性.并获得除驻波声压之外的另外一些新的物理结果, 包括速度、密度、温度的瞬时变化.在直圆柱形谐振管内产生冲击声压波, 速度波形中出现钉状结构.而在指数形和圆锥形谐振管内产生高声压幅值的驻波, 没有出现冲击波, 速度波形中均未发现钉状结构. 计算结果表明谐振管内非线性驻波的物理属性与谐振管形状之间有密切关系.  相似文献

提出了一种通过建立双线性二次哈密顿量在量子腔中实现参量上转换和下转换的方案.通常在非线性过程中,介质本身不参与能量的净交换,但光波频率可以发生转换的作用称为参量转换作用.此方案建立在一个四能级原子同时与两经典场和两量子场相互作用的基础上,理论属于非线性光学四波混频范畴.将原子制备在合适的能级上,经典光场与相应的能级发生共振,而同时量子光场与相应的能级产生大失谐相互作用,在强相互作用区域内,原子和腔场失耦合,进而实现腔模的参量转换.根据所制备初始能级的不同以及光场激发能级的差异,分别实现了参量上转换和参量下转换.在利用参量下转换制备压缩算符后,对实验的可行性进行了讨论,并且给出了理论值.结果表明:在级联三能原子中采用一个级联双光子过程代替了原来的两个偶极禁戒跃迁间的经典驱动,可以保证高的不同频率之间的转换效率,并且用于光的量子操控和量子信息处理.  相似文献

利用等离子体非线性效应的三波法是解决黑障问题的一种可能的解决方案。从三波非线性理论出发,详细介绍了转化效率的计算方法,进而对不同等离子体电子密度模型下的非线性效应进行分析。数值仿真结果表明:存在一个最优的信号入射角度,当信号以该角度入射时转化效率最大;等离子体厚度会对最佳入射角产生一定影响,当厚度减小时,最佳入射角变大;等离子体电子密度变化范围、厚度、入射波及泵源参数都相同时,共振点处电子密度导数值越大,非线性效应越强。  相似文献

本文以Vlasov-Maxwell方程组为基础,用非线性动力学理论研究了存在导引场情况下电磁波泵浦的自由电子激光器的作用机制,导出了线性及非线性色散关系式,求出了非线性不稳定性增长率和自由电子激光的能量转换效率.结果表明,只要合理地选择参量条件,附加导引场可以大大提高自由电子激光的增长率和能量转换效率.  相似文献

传统声表面波谐振器中的指条反射阵占据了器件的大部分尺寸。由于剪切横波(SH wave)在材料基片的自由端面反射时不产生模式转换,因此可望利用自由端面来代替SH型声表面波谐振器中的指条反射阵,实现超小型低损耗的新型声表面波谐振器。本文首先用COM理论对新结构的谐振器进行了讨论,并且在实验上实现了120MHz至440MHz的几个单端谐振器(ST36°石英基片),其插入损耗从0.87dB至1.29dB,面积缩小到传统谐振器的50%至25%。  相似文献

在研制高效宽带增益激光非线性频率转化的实验中发现,由双折射滤光片透过率计算出的激光输出频谱宽度比激光器实际频谱宽度要大一个数量级左右.考虑到激光模式竞争和均匀增宽效应,理论上提出了一个精确计算激光器实际频谱线宽的模型.用该模型模拟的带不同厚度双折射滤光片的调Q运转钛宝石激光器的光谱宽度与实验结果一致,这为优化设计双折射滤光片及该类激光器提供了依据.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a novel metasurface design that achieves a high-efficiency ultra-broadband cross polarization conversion. The metasurface is composed of an array of unit resonators, each of which combines an H-shaped structure and two rectangular metallic patches. Different plasmon resonance modes are excited in unit resonators and allow the polarization states to be manipulated. The bandwidth of the cross polarization converter is 82% of the central frequency,covering the range from 15.7 GHz to 37.5 GHz. The conversion efficiency of the innovative new design is higher than 90%.At 14.43 GHz and 40.95 GHz, the linearly polarized incident wave is converted into a circularly polarized wave.  相似文献

从耦合模方程出发,推导了切伦科夫倍频转换效率公式,并得出该效率主要是由交叠积分决定的结论;通过对交叠积分的计算找到了进一步提高该效率的有效方法;最后用Nd:YAG激光器进行了切伦科夫倍频实验,得到了接近1%的转换效率,增加包层折射率可以使该效率增加到1.3%,实验结果证实了理论分析.  相似文献

We present an effective design of aperiodically stacked layers of nonlinear material and air, sandwiched by two truncated photonic crystals, in terms of the simulation annealing method. The constructed structure can achieve multiple-wavelength second-harmonic generation (SHG) at the preassigned wavelengths. We derive a general solution of SHG in 1D inhomogeneous systems and apply it to evaluate the SHG conversion efficiency. Numerical simulations show that the conversion efficiency of SHG can be significantly enhanced when the fundamental wave frequencies are assigned to the designed defect states.  相似文献

A practical technique based on the phase-conjugate wave (PCW) generation is proposed to improve the temporal contrast of the picosecond pulses. Our theory predicts the temporal contrast of the picosecond pulses can be enhanced to about the cube of the temporal contrast of the input pulse via the PCW generation, in which the conversion efficiency from the incident pulse to the PCW is about 25%. In a proof-of-principle experiment, the temporal contrast of picosecond pulses was enhanced from 1.7×103 to 8.6×108 with the conversion efficiency of 10%. This technique is promising to effectively eliminate the background of the ultrashort and ultraintense laser pulses in the future.  相似文献

By adiabatic difference-frequency generation in an aperiodically poled nonlinear crystal-a nonlinear optical analog of rapid adiabatic passage in a two-level atomic system-we demonstrate the conversion of a 110?nm band from an octave-spanning Ti:sapphire oscillator to the infrared, spanning 1550 to 2450?nm, with near-100% internal conversion efficiency. The experiment proves the principle of complete Landau-Zener adiabatic transfer in nonlinear optical wave mixing. Our implementation is a practical approach to the seeding of high-energy ultrabroadband optical parametric chirped pulse amplifiers.  相似文献

在同时考虑多信号输入和相对论效应的情况下,利用波导激励理论获得了行波管中慢电磁行波与电子注非线性互作用的全三维自洽工作方程组,包括激发方程、运动方程、能量转化方程、相位演化方程等,适合大部分行波管中慢电磁行波与电子注的非线性互作用过程.利用该理论具体分析了一个宽带螺旋线行波管在多信号输入时的交叉调制,并与实验结果进行了比较,验证了理论和计算的正确性.另外,还模拟了一个相对论盘荷波导行波管中的非线性注波互作用过程. 关键词: 行波管 慢电磁行波 非线性注波互作用 交叉调制  相似文献
