The piezotransducers employed in high power ultrasound are composed of piezoelectric ceramics and metallic pieces. These transducers are mechanically pre-stressed in order to avoid the ceramic fractures when high voltage is applied under resonance. The resonance and anti-resonance frequencies are shifted depending on the level of applied mechanical pre-stressing. This paper discusses some causes of this shifting on a experimental study. The discussion takes into account the variations on characteristic parameters of the ceramics and the acoustic coupling between parts of the transducer.  相似文献

A new type of radial composite piezoelectric transducer in radial vibration is developed and analyzed. The radial composite transducer consists of a piezoelectric ceramic thin ring polarized in the thickness direction and a metal thin circular ring. They are connected together and excited to vibrate in the radial direction. The radial vibrations of a piezoelectric ceramic thin ring and a metal thin circular ring are analyzed, respectively. Their radial electro-mechanical equivalent circuits are obtained. Based on the electro-mechanical equivalent circuits and using the boundary conditions between the piezoelectric ceramic thin ring and the metal thin circular ring in the radial direction, the electro-mechanical equivalent circuit of the radial composite piezoelectric transducer is derived out and the resonance frequency equation is obtained. The relationship between the resonance frequency and the geometrical dimensions of the transducer is analyzed. Some radial composite piezoelectric transducers are designed and manufactured. The resonance frequencies and the anti-resonance frequencies, the electro-mechanical equivalent circuit parameters are measured. The effective electro-mechanical coupling coefficient and the mechanical quality factor are calculated. It is illustrated that the measured radial resonance frequencies are in good agreement with the theoretical results from the resonance frequency equation.  相似文献

The current study considers piezoelectric ceramic electromechanical transducers utilizing axisymmetric vibrations of complete and incomplete spherical shells. Analysis is focused on generating the modes of vibration that can be employed in the design of multimode unidirectional electroacoustic transducers for underwater applications and on determining the electrode configurations that achieve optimal electromechanical coupling for the different modes of vibration considered. Analytical expressions are presented for the modal and intermodal equivalent parameters characterizing the energy state of the shell vibration. Results of calculation and experimental verification of the resonance frequencies and effective coupling coefficients for different modes of vibration of the complete and incomplete spherical shells are in good agreement.  相似文献

The most popular configuration for piezoelectric-polymer composites has pillars of piezoelectric ceramic supported by a polymer matrix and material with this structure is now widely available commercially. However, it has significant disadvantages for use in multilayer devices for non-mass-loaded operation below approximately 50 kHz. An alternative configuration is therefore reported here, in which interconnected fingers of piezoelectric ceramic surround polymer plates. This can be termed 3-1 connectivity, since the piezoceramic is fully connected in three dimensions and the polymer in only one. The configuration has been found to have significant manufacturing advantages which feed through to enhanced performance compared with practical 1-3 connectivity multilayer devices. For many potential applications, high-power operation is required, and it is unclear if the multilayer structure has sufficient internal strength to maintain its integrity at high strains. Therefore, an investigation has been carried out into alternative pre-stressing component designs. These comprise back and front stainless steel plates of different shapes, connected by a number of stainless steel rods. In this paper, the fundamental performance of a multilayer device is illustrated with electrical impedance and surface displacement measurements in air, without pre-stressing. Then measurements are reported from three different clamping configurations. It is shown that good results can be achieved at spot frequencies with a suitable clamp, but that unsuitable clamps prevent even this, and broadband performance is unlikely to be achieved easily.  相似文献

提出一种三元径向复合圆柱压电超声换能器,并对其径向振动特性进行了研究。基于弹性力学理论及机电类比原理,导出了柱坐标系中分割处理径向极化压电陶瓷管准厚度模振动及薄壁短圆管径向振动的机电等效电路;利用径向力和振速连续的边界条件,得出了径向复合圆柱压电换能器系统的径向振动机电等效电路及其共振频率方程。探讨了换能器径向共振频率及有效机电耦合系数随其几何尺寸的变化关系。研究表明,换能器的径向共振频率及有效机电耦合系数随其内芯半径和预应力管壁厚度增大而降低。研制了一些径向复合圆柱压电换能器,并对其径向共振频率进行了测试。结果表明,理论与实验结果基本一致。   相似文献

Flexural resonance vibrations of piezoelectric ceramic tubes in Besocke-style scanners with nanometer resolution are studied by using an electro-mechanical coupling Timoshenko beam model.Meanwhile,the effects of friction,the first moment,and moment of inertia induced by mass loads are considered.The predicted resonance frequencies of the ceramic tubes are sensitive to not only the mechanical parameters of the scanners,but also the friction acting on the attached shaking ball and corresponding bending moment on the tubes.The theoretical results are in excellent agreement with the related experimental measurements.This model and corresponding results are applicable for optimizing the structures and performances of the scanners.  相似文献

对夹心式径向复合压电换能器径向振动特性进行了研究。该换能器由弹性内芯、预应力金属管及柱面压电陶瓷晶堆径向复合而成.利用机电类比法,得到了换能器的径向振动等效电路及频率方程。探讨了换能器第1、2阶径向共振频率及有效机电耦合系数与其几何尺寸的关系。研究表明,换能器第1阶径向共振频率随其内芯内径及预应力管壁厚度增大而降低;第2阶共振频率随内芯内径增大存在极小值,但随预应力管壁厚度增大单调下降。此外,采用第2阶径向共振模式能获得较高的有效机电耦合系数,并且压电陶瓷处于位移节线时,换能器有效机电耦合系数达极大值。对换能器共振频率的测试与有限元仿真表明。理论与实验及仿真结果符合较好。   相似文献

A radial cascaded composite ultrasonic transducer is analyzed.The transducer consists of three short metal tubes and two radially polarized piezoelectric ceramic short tubes arranged alternately along the radial direction.The short metal tubes and the piezoelectric ceramic short tubes are connected in parallel electrically and in series mechanically,which can multiply the input sound power and sound intensity.Based on the theory of plane stress,the electro-mechanical equivalent circuit of radial vibration of the transducer is derived firstly.The resonance/anti-resonance frequency equation and the expression of the effective electromechanical coupling coefficient are obtained.Excellent electromechanical characteristics are determined by changing the radial geometric dimensions.Two prototypes of the transducers are designed and manufactured to support the analytical theory.It is concluded that the theoretical resonance/anti-resonance frequencies are consistent with the numerical and experimental results.When R_2 is at certain values,both the anti-resonance frequency and effective electromechanical coupling coefficient corresponding to the second mode have maximal values.The radial cascaded composite ultrasonic transducer is expected to be used in the fields of ultrasonic water treatment and underwater acoustics.  相似文献

压电振子是新一代方位声波测井仪器中相控圆弧阵声波辐射器的重要组成部分。利用有限元法对构成圆弧阵的压电振子进行了设计分析,结果显示了压电振子存在多阶弯曲振动模态,且长度方向一阶弯曲振动能够满足方位声波测井的工作频率要求。针对长度方向一阶弯曲振动模式,数值模拟了几何尺寸对压电振子性能参数的影响。压电振子的谐振频率随着陶瓷片长度、基片或陶瓷片厚度的减小而降低;压电振子的辐射声功率随着陶瓷片长度或压电振子宽度的增加、基片或陶瓷片厚度的减小而增大;合理地选取长度和厚度可使压电振子具有较高的机电耦合系数。数值模拟结果可以对圆弧阵结构优化设计起到良好的指导作用。  相似文献

Langevin ultrasonic transducers are widely used in high-power ultrasonics and underwater sound. In ultrasonic cleaning, a matching metal horn rather than a metal cylinder is used as the radiator in order to enhance the radiating surface and improve the acoustic matching between the transducer and the processed medium. To raise the effect of ultrasonic cleaning, the standing wave in the cleaning tank should be eliminated. One method to eliminate the standing wave in the tank is to use the multifrequency ultrasonic transducer. In this paper, the Langevin ultrasonic horn transducer, with two resonance frequencies, is studied. The transducer consists of two groups of piezoelectric ceramic elements: the back metal cylinder, the middle metal cylinder and the front matching metal horn. The vibrational modes of the transducer are analysed, and resonance frequency equations of the transducer in the half-wave and the all-wave vibrational modes are derived. According to the resonance frequency equations, transducers with two resonance frequencies are designed and made. The resonance frequencies, the effective electromechanical coupling coefficients and the equivalent electric impedances of the transducers are measured. It is shown that the measured resonance frequencies are in good agreement with the computed results, and the transducer can be excited to vibrate at two resonance frequencies, which correspond to the half-wave and the all-wave vibrational modes of the transducer.  相似文献

通常采用含两个耦合参数的紧束缚近似,就能很好地描述光子晶体缺陷因耦合而导致的共振频率分裂.然而,缺陷耦合造成的共振频率移动,即包含奇数个缺陷的耦合系统的中央共振频率位置与原来单缺陷时的共振频率位置存在差异,则只有采用含三个耦合参数的严格紧束缚方法才能正确描述.根据耦合参数与共振频率的关系,利用三缺陷耦合系统的模拟计算结果确定了三个耦合参数的具体值,从而在理论上能够预言由任意个缺陷构成的耦合系统的共振频率的移动和分裂.理论预言与基于有限时域差分法的数值计算完全相符.  相似文献

We study the collective dynamics of noise-driven excitable elements, so-called active rotators. Crucially here, the natural frequencies and the individual coupling strengths are drawn from some joint probability distribution. Combining a mean-field treatment with a Gaussian approximation allows us to find examples where the infinite-dimensional system is reduced to a few ordinary differential equations. Our focus lies in the cooperative behavior in a population consisting of two parts, where one is composed of excitable elements, while the other one contains only self-oscillatory units. Surprisingly, excitable behavior in the whole system sets in only if the excitable elements have a smaller coupling strength than the self-oscillating units. In this way positive local correlations between natural frequencies and couplings shape the global behavior of mixed populations of excitable and oscillatory elements.  相似文献

Liquid silicone rubber (LSR) has increasingly been used as one kind of inner insulating material. Studies of space charge and its effect during pre-stressing and breakdown (BD) process in LSR were carried out. DC electrical breakdown field (BDF) of LSR specimens before and after DC electrical pre-stressing was measured. The space charge characteristics of LSR specimens under different DC electrical pre-stressing fields and that during the BD processes were measured by a pulsed electro-acoustic (PEA) method. It was found that the amount of homo space charges near electrodes increases obviously as a rising electric field is applied. Whether the polarity of BDF is the same as that of the pre-stressing field or not, the DC BDF of pre-stressed specimens is higher than that of specimens without pre-stressing. However, the pre-stressing does not show monotone and saturation effects, as generally occurs in the literature. In hetero BD experiments for example, with an increasing pre-stressing field, the DC BDF first increases up to 14.5% at the pre-stressing field of 25 kV/mm and then decreases. The influence of pre-stressing on the BD processes in LSR are discussed. The relationship between space charge and the DC BDF was related to the microstructure of nano-silica and LSR molecules.  相似文献

Quite a number of metals and alloys can be forced into the amorphous state by quenching. In particular, condensation onto a substrate cooled to He-temperature is very effective. The superconductivity and related properties of these metals are considered in this article. The influence of the amorphous structure on the electron and the phonon system is discussed. In simple metals the electrons show a free electron behaviour. The transverse phonons are softened but maintainn the ω3-density of states at low frequencies. The electron-phonon interaction does not conserve momentum due to the loss of translational invariance in the amorphous metal and yields a large contribution to α2F(ω) at low frequencies. Therefore the amorphous superconductors are strong coupling. The strong coupling character alters the temperature dependence of several superconducting parameters such as critical fields etc. The characteristic superconducting properties and superconducting fluctuations are discussed.  相似文献

针对压电圆环弯曲振动机电转换性能较差的问题,提出了一种复合圆环弯曲振动换能器,它由一个径向极化的压电陶瓷内圆环和一个金属外圆环复合而成。基于能量原理推导得到了复合圆环弯曲振动的谐振频率和有效机电耦合系数,探讨了弯曲振动四极子模态特性与其结构尺寸间的关系。当压电圆环尺寸不变时,随外侧金属圆环壁厚增加,复合圆环弯曲振动四极子模态谐振频率上升,有效机电耦合系数迅速上升到极大值后缓慢下降。最后,设计制作了圆环换能器并对其谐振频率和有效机电耦合系数进行了实验测试,测试结果与解析结果和数值模拟结果吻合得较好。   相似文献

A Green's function method is used to obtain the spectrum of spin excitations associated with a linear array of magnetic impurities implanted in a ferromagnetic thin film. The equations of motion for the Green's functions of the anisotropic film are written in the framework of the Ising model in a transverse field. The frequencies of localized modes are calculated as a function of the interaction parameters for the exchange coupling between impurity-spin pairs, host-spin pairs, and impurity-host neighbors, as well as the effective field parameter at the impurity sites.  相似文献

In this work, an approximated 3-D analytical model of the Langevin transducer is proposed. The model, improving the classical 1-D approach describing the thickness extensional mode, allows us to predict also the radial modes of both the piezoelectric ceramic disk and the loading masses; furthermore, it is able to describe the coupling between radial and thickness extensional modes. In order to validate the model, the computed frequency spectrum is compared with that obtained by measurements carried out on 13 manufactured samples of different thicknesses to diameter ratios. The comparison shows that the model predicts with quite good accuracy the resonance frequencies of the two lowest frequency modes, i.e., those of practical interest, all over the explored range. Finally, the coupling effect between thickness and radial modes on the frontal displacement is measured and discussed.  相似文献
