An attempt is made to correlate the crystal structures of ternary chalcogenides of composition AB2X4 with the cationic radius ratio and a pseudo force-constant involving their electronegativities. The resultant diagram adequately resolves structures based on the types K2SO4, monoclinic, olivine, MnY2S4, Th3P4, and CaFe2O4 but structure types based on spinel, Cr3Se4, and Ag2HgI4 are not resolved. Crystal chemical arguments are used to explain these observations and to advance reasons for the successes and failures of this method for predicting structure types. 相似文献

The following isomers of the ethyl halide molecular ions have all been shown to be stable species in the gas phase: [CH2CH2FH]+˙; [CH3ClCH2]+˙ (ΔHf° = 1012 kJ mol?1); [CH3CHClH]+˙ (ΔHf° = 971 kJ mol?1); [CH2CH2ClH]+˙; [CH3BrCH2]+˙ (ΔHf° = 1058 KJ mol?1); [CH3CHBrH]+˙ (ΔHf° = 995 kJ mol?1) and [CH2CH2BrH]+˙. Neutralization–reionization mass spectrometry, employing Xe as the electron transfer target gas and O2 as the target gas for reionization, indicated that the ylides CH3ClCH2 and CH3BrCH2 could not be generated by such means. However, the species CH3CHClH, CH2CH2ClH and CH2CH2BrH (and possibly CH3CHBrH) were unambiguously identified. 相似文献

Treatment of the zwitterionic amine tricarbollides of general formula 7-L-nido-7,8,9-C3B8H10 (1) (where L = Me2HN (1c) and ButH2N (1d)) with [(eta 5-C5H5)Fe(CO)2]2 in refluxing mesitylene resulted in the formation of a mixture of the known compounds [2-(eta 5-C5H5)-9-X-closo-2,1,7,9-FeC3B8H10] (2) (where X = H2N (2a), Me2N (2c), and ButHN (2d)) and a series of new, isomeric ferratricarbollylamines [2-(eta 5-C5H5)-10-X-closo-2,1,7,10-FeC3B8H10] (3) (where X = H2N (3a), Me2N (3c), and ButHN (3d)) in moderate yields. Complexes of type 3 (where X = H2N (3a), MeHN (3b), Me2N (3c), and ButHN (3d)) were also obtained readily by heating complexes of type 2 (where X = H2N (2a), MeHN (2b), Me2N (2c), ButHN (2d), and Bu(t)(Me)N (2e)) at ca. 300 degrees C for 10 min. All the complexes of type 3 contain reactive amine functions in meta positions with respect to the metal center. The observed 9-->10 rearrangement of the substituted cluster carbon is quite unexpected and is believed to result from higher thermodynamic stability of the 10-substituted isomers. The structures of all compounds of type 3 were established by high-field NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry, and that of 3d was determined by an X-ray diffraction study. 相似文献

Three new compounds have been synthesized: [Mg(4-MePy)4(NCS)2]·0.67(4-MePy)·xH2O (x=0.07–0.24 [Mg(4-MePy)4(NCS)2]·(4-MePy) and [MgPy4(NCS)2]·2Py·2H2O. Their structures have been investigated by Raman spectroscopy and the first two compounds have been shown to be isostructural with the clathrates [Cu(4-MePy)4(NCS)2]·0.67(4-MePy)·0.33H2O and [Ni(4-MePy)4(NCS)2]·(4-MePy). Thermal and other properties have been studied. It was concluded from an analysis of the literature that pyridine complexes of Mg and Ca are capable of forming clathrates with Py as guest molecule, although these compounds have not been examined before from the point of view of clathrate chemistry.Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences. A tetranuclear gold cluster has been synthesized by the reaction of [Au(PPh3)NO3] with the closo carborane diphosphine 1,2-(PPh2)2-1,2-C2B10H10 in THF, and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H and 13C?NMR spectroscopy and X-ray structure determination. The cluster crystallizes in the triclinic Pī, a?=?15.118(8)?Å, b?=?16.057(9)?Å, c?=?24.284(13)?Å, α?=?80.822(9)°, β?=?79.624(8)°, γ?=?81.938(8)°, Z?=?2, R 1?=?0.0626, wR 2?=?0.1894. A single crystal structure determination showed that four gold atoms form a tetrahedral framework. Among these four gold atoms, two were chelated by two nido carborane diphosphine [7,8-(PPh2)2-7,8-C2B9H10]? anions coming from the degradation of the initial closo ligand 1,2-(PPh2)2-1,2-C2B10H10, while the other two were ligated to two PPh3 groups. Tin(II) compounds containing the ligands [CH(C6H3Me2-2,5)C(But)NSiMe3]− (≡ L1), [CH(Ph)C(Ph)NSiMe3]− (≡L2), [CH(SiMe3)P(Ph)2NSiMe3]− (≡ L3),
(≡ L4), [C(Ph)C(Ph)NSiMe3]2− (≡ L5), and [C(SiMe3)P(Ph)2NSiMe3]2− (≡ L6) are reported: the transient SnBr(L1) (1) and SnBr(L2) (2), Sn(L1)2 (3) [P.B. Hitchcock, J. Hu, M.F. Lappert, M. Layh, J.R. Severn, J. Chem. Soc., Chem. Commun. (1997) 1189], the labile Sn(L2)2 (4), [Sn(L5)]2 (5), SnCl(L3) (6), Sn(L3)2 (7), [Sn(L6)]2 (8), Sn(L4)2 (9) and Pb(L4)2 (10). They were prepared from (i) SnBr2 and K(L1) (1, 3) or K(L2) (2, 4, 5); (ii) SnCl2 and Li(L3) (6–9); or (iii) PbCl2 and Li(L4) (10). Each of 1, 3 and 5–10 has been characterised by multinuclear NMR spectra; 3, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 by EI-mass spectra, but only 3, 5, 8, 9 and 10 were isolated pure and furnished X-ray quality crystals. The compounds [Co(2)(CO)(8)] and nido-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(13) react in CH(2)Cl(2) to give a complex mixture of products consisting primarily of two isomers of the dicobalt species [Co(2)(CO)(2)(eta(5)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11))(2)] (1), together with small amounts of a mononuclear cobalt compound [Co(CO)(2)(eta(5)-10-CO-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(10))] (5) and a charge-compensated carborane nido-9-CO-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11) (6). In solution, isomers 1a and 1b slowly equilibrate. However, column chromatography allows a clean separation of 1a from the mixture, and a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study revealed that each metal atom is ligated by a terminal CO molecule and in a pentahapto manner by a nido-C(2)B(9)H(11) cage framework. The two Co(CO)(eta(5)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11)) units are linked by a Co-Co bond [2.503(2) ?], which is supported by two three-center two-electron B-H right harpoon-up Co bonds. The latter employ B-H vertices in each cage which lie in alpha-sites with respect to the carbons in the CCBBB rings bonded to cobalt. Addition of PMe(2)Ph to a CH(2)Cl(2) solution of a mixture of the isomers 1, enriched in 1b, gave isomers of formulation [Co(2)(CO)(PMe(2)Ph)(eta(5)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11))(2)] (2). Crystals of one isomer were suitable for X-ray diffraction. The molecule 2a has a structure similar to that of 1a but differs in that whereas one B-H right harpoon-up Co bridge involves a boron atom in an alpha-site of a CCBBB ring coordinated to cobalt, the other uses a boron atom in the beta-site. Reaction between 1b and an excess of PMe(2)Ph in CH(2)Cl(2) gave the complex [CoCl(PMe(2)Ph)(2)(eta(5)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11))] (3), the structure of which was established by X-ray diffraction. Experiments indicated that 3 was formed through a paramagnetic Co(II) species of formulation [Co(PMe(2)Ph)(2)(eta(5)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11))]. Addition of 2 molar equiv of CNBu(t) to solutions of either 1a or 1b gave a mixture of two isomers of the complex [Co(2)(CNBu(t))(2)(eta(5)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11))(2)] (4). The reaction of (Me3SiNSN)2S with TeCl4 in CH2Cl2 affords Cl2TeS2N2 (1) and that of (Me3SiNSN)2Se with TeCl4 produces Cl2TeSeSN2 (2) in good yields. The products were characterized by X-ray crystallography, as well as by NMR and vibrational spectroscopy and EI mass spectrometry. The Raman spectra were assigned by utilizing DFT molecular orbital calculations. The pathway of the formation of five-membered Cl2TeESN2 rings by the reactions of (Me3SiNSN)2E with TeCl4 (E = S, Se) is discussed. The reaction of (Me3SiNSN)2Se with [PPh4]2[Pd2X6] yields [PPh4]2[Pd2(mu-Se2N2S)X4] (X = Cl, 4a; Br, 4b), the first examples of complexes of the (Se2N2S)2- ligand. A single crystal X-ray diffraction study of a new iodine-containing cluster compound 9-(pyridine)-11-iodo-decahydro-7,8-dicarba-nido-undecaborane [9-C5H5N-11-I-7,8-C2B9H10] has been performed. Crystal data: C7H15B9NI, M = 337.39, monoclinic, space group P21/c, unit cell parameters: a = 9.348(1) Å, b = 11.159(1) Å, c = 13.442(2) Å, β = 98.13(1)°, V = 1388.1(5) Å3, Z = 4, d calc = 1.614 g/cm3, T = 295 K, F(000) = 648, μ = 2.276 mm?1. The structure was solved by a direct method and refined in the full-matrix anisotropic approximation (isotropic for hydrogen atoms) to final agreement factors R 1 = 0.0254, wR 2 = 0.0454 for 2437 I hkl ≥ 2σI from 3590 measured I hkl (an Enraf-Nonius CAD-4 diffractometer, λMoK α , graphite monochromator, θ/2θ-scanning). X2H hydrides (X=Al, Si, P, and S) have been investigated using coupled cluster theory with single, double, and triple excitations, the latter incorporated as a perturbative correction [CCSD(T)]. These were performed utilizing a series of correlation-consistent basis sets augmented with diffuse functions (aug-cc-pVXZ, X=D, T, and Q). Al2H and Si2H are determined to have H-bridged C2v structures in their ground states: the Al2H ground state is of 2B1 symmetry with an Al-H-Al angle of 87.6 degrees, and the Si2H ground state is of 2A1 symmetry with a Si-H-Si angle of 79.8 degrees. However, P2H and S2H have nonbridged, bent Cs structures: the P2H ground state is of 2A' symmetry with a P-P-H angle of 97.0 degrees, and the S2H ground state is of 2A' symmetry with a S-S-H angle of 93.2 degrees. Ground state geometries, vibrational frequencies, and electron affinities have been computed at all levels of theory. Our CCSD(T)/aug-cc-pVQZ adiabatic electron affinity of 2.34 eV for the Si2H radical is in excellent agreement with the photoelectron spectroscopy experiments of Xu et al. [J. Chem. Phys. 108, 7645 (1998)], where the electron affinity was determined to be 2.31+/-0.01 eV. 相似文献

The syntheses and characterisation of a series of chiral and achiral 2‐(aminophenyl)‐2‐oxazolines and some related compounds is reported. All of the derivatives have been produced by a one‐step procedure involving the treatment of isatoic anhydride (i.e. [2H]‐3, 1‐benzoxazine‐[1H‐2,4‐dione: 1 ) or its 5‐chloro analogue with a slight excess of appropriate amino‐alcohols. In most cases, anhydrous ZnCl2 is shown to be an effective Lewis acid catalyst for this reaction at reflux temperature in high boiling aromatic solvents (PhCl or PhMe). Oxazolines have been readily formed using rac‐2‐amino‐1‐butanol, (S)‐phenylglycinol, 2‐methyl‐2‐amino‐1‐propanol and (1S,2R) or (IR,2S)‐cis‐ 1 ‐amino‐2‐indanol; yields range from 85% to 22%. The use of aminoalcohols such as 2‐ethanolamine, (±)‐2‐amino‐1‐phenyl‐1‐propanol or 3‐amino‐1‐propanol (to give the corresponding 4,5‐dihydro‐1,3‐oxazine) results in poor yields. The use of other Lewis acid catalysts (silicic acid, Cd(acac)2·2H2O, CuCl2·2H2O, InCl3) or higher temperatures did not improve the yields with these latter two substrates. Benzoxazoles and N‐substituted benzoxazoles can also be obtained in reasonable yields from 1 using 2‐aminophenol (36%) or 2‐amino‐3‐hydroxypyridine (45%). 相似文献

HF, MP2, and B3LYP calculations with different basis sets have been used in the computation of the stabilization energies of C(3)H(7)X isomers, where X is F, Cl, and Br. The experimental stabilization energies of the structural isomers of C(3)H(7)Cl and C(3)H(7)Br have been reproduced via B3LYP calculations. However, the calculated stabilization energies of fluoropropane isomers from their reported enthalpies of formation have been reproduced in all methods of calculations in present work. The experimental relative stabilities of the gauche conformers of 1-fluoro-, 1-chloro-, and 1-bromopropanes have been also reproduced via some of the used calculations in the present work. The effect of the geminal interactions on X atomic charges and on the C-X and C-C bond lengths in halopropane isomers are also discussed. 相似文献

The boron-atom insertion reaction of nido-9,11-I(2)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(9)(2-), with the HBCl(2):SMe(2) complex yields closo-4,7-I(2)-1,2-C(2)B(10)H(10), 1, in excellent yield. Although the two boron atoms (B3 and B6) nearest to the carbon atoms in 1 are equally available for attack by nucleophiles, the boron-degradation reaction of 1 with alkoxide ion occurs only at the B6 vertex, yielding regioselectively [(CH(3))(3)NH][nido-2,4-I(2)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(10)], 2. The molecular structures of 1 and 2 have been determined by X-ray diffraction studies. Crystallographic data are as follows. For 1, monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, a = 6.9199(19) Angstroms, b = 23.9560(7) Angstroms, c = 7.2870(2) Angstroms, beta = 94.081(4) degrees, V = 1204.9(6) Angstroms(3), Z = 4, rho(calcd) = 2.18 g cm(-3), R = 0.020, R(w) = 0.0610; for 2, orthorhombic, space group Pca2(1), a = 14.1141(7) Angstroms, b = 7.0276(4) Angstroms, c = 16.4602(9) Angstroms, V = 1632.7(15) Angstroms(3), Z = 4, rho(calcd) = 1.81 gcm(-3), R = 0.022, R(w) = 0.0623. 相似文献

The structural and solution characterization of novel Fe(II) compounds of the general formula [Fe(bztpen)X]PF6 and [Fe(bztpen)CH3CN](PF6)2 is presented, where bztpen is the pentadentate ligand N-benzyl-N,N',N'-tris(2-methylpyridyl)ethylenediamine and X- is a monodentate ligand. All complexes were characterized in solution and in the solid state, employing the usual techniques and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The results obtained are discussed in terms of the existing information for some previously reported analogous compounds to arrive at a rationalization regarding the influence of a variation in the coordination environment of all compounds and to evaluate their relative stability. The observed magnetic response in the solid state is paramagnetic in the entire temperature range for the Cl-, Br-, I-, OCN-, and SCN- derivatives, while the N(CN)2-, CH3CN, and CN- derivatives are diamagnetic. The diamagnetic character of these last two compounds is confirmed in acetonitrile solution, while a spin transition step is observed for the N(CN)2- derivative. Diffraction data for all compounds as hexafluorophosphates shows that the I-, Br-, and OCN- derivatives crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Pbca, while the CN-, SCN-, and CH3CN compounds crystallize in the triclinic space group P. Average bond lengths and the trigonal distortion parameter can be correlated to the observed magnetic susceptibility depending on the coordinated monodentate ligand. Solution measurements of electronic properties for the compounds follow the trend established by the spectrochemical series. The relative stability of the Fe(II) complexes can be established in terms of the percentage of dissociation from the voltammetry and conductivity results, which are consistent with those obtained spectrophotometrically, mainly, the larger stability for the CN- derivative and the lower for the I- derivative. The redox potential and percentage of dissociation values allow for the estimation of the relative stability constants for the Fe(II) and Fe(III) complexes. 相似文献

In an attempt to build up borane-based multicluster assemblies, thermolysis of [6,9-(SMe2)2-arachno-B10H12] 1 in inert hydrocarbon solution, followed by chromatographic separation, has resulted in the isolation not only of the previously established single-cluster product from this reaction, [5-(SMe2)-nido-B10H12] 2 (30%), but also the two two-cluster species [6,9-(SMe2)2-arachno-B10H11-1-(6-nido-B10H13)] 3 (20%) and [1,6-(nido-B10H13)2] 6 (ca. 0.5%) and the two three-cluster species [6,9-(SMe2)2-arachno-B10H10-1,5-(6-nido-B10H13)2] 4 (5%), characterized crystallographically, and [6,9-(SMe2)2-arachno-B10H10-1,3-(6-nido-B10H13)2] 5 (<1%), identified by NMR spectroscopy. An improved crystallographic investigation of [5-(SMe2)-nido-B10H12] 2 is also presented. The feasibility of the stability of species resulting from multiple adjacent substitution of nido-decaboranyl units on the [6,9-(SMe2)2-arachno-B10H12] skeleton is tested by DFT calculations. In an extension, to attempt the use of pre--linked two-cluster compounds as starting substrates, two-cluster [5-(SMe2)-4-(2-nido-B10H13)-nido-B10H11] 7 (0.6%) has been isolated from the reaction of SMe2 with [1,5-(nido-B10H13)2], other identified products being compound 1 (39%) and compound 3 (10.5%). 相似文献

Interaction of the lacunary [alpha-XW9O33](9-) (X = As(III), Sb(III)) with Cu(2+) and Zn(2+) ions in neutral, aqueous medium leads to the formation of dimeric polyoxoanions, [(alpha-XW9O33)2M3(H2O)3](12-) (M = Cu(2+), Zn(2+); X = As(III), Sb(III)), in high yield. The selenium and tellurium analogues of the copper-containing heteropolyanions are also reported: [(alpha-XW9O33)2Cu3(H2O)3](10-) (X = Se(IV), Te(IV)). The polyanions consist of two [alpha-XW9O33] units joined by three equivalent Cu(2+) (X = As, Sb, Se, Te) or Zn(2+) (X = As, Sb) ions. All copper and zinc ions have one terminal water molecule resulting in square-pyramidal coordination geometry. Therefore, the title anions have idealized D3h symmetry. The space between the three transition metal ions is occupied by three sodium ions (M = Cu(2+), Zn(2+); X = As(III), Sb(III)) or potassium ions (M = Cu(2+); X = Se(IV), Te(IV)) leading to a central belt of six metal atoms alternating in position. Reaction of [alpha-AsW9O33](9-) with Zn(2+), Co(2+), and Mn(2+) ions in acidic medium (pH = 4-5) results in the same structural type but with a lower degree of transition-metal substitution, [(alpha-AsW9O33)2WO(H2O)M2(H2O)2](10-) (M = Zn(2+), Co(2+), Mn(2+)). All nine compounds are characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. The solution properties of [(alpha-XW9O33)2Zn3(H2O)3](12-) (X = As(III), Sb(III)) were also studied by 183W-NMR spectroscopy. 相似文献
