Cr-doped sodium vanadium phosphate (NVP) in the form of Na3V2-xCrx(PO4)3 (x = 0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.08, 0.10) is synthesized via a facile sol-gel route as cathode materials for sodium ion batteries. The structure and morphology of these materials are systematically characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-infrared spectra (FT-IR), and scanning electron microscope (SEM). XRD analysis reveals that with the increasing amount of Cr, the crystallographic parameters show a descending trend. Electrochemical tests show that the cycle stability and the specific capacity of the sodium ion batteries can be significantly improved by doping Cr into NVP. Among all the Cr-doped cathode materials, Na3V1.92Cr0.08(PO4)3 achieves the highest capacity of 112.2 mAh g?1 and the capacity retention is 97.2 % after 50 cycles. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements demonstrate that Cr doping is an effective method to reduce the contact resistance of interparticles by suppressing irreversible phase transformation at low sodium contents.  相似文献

Inferior rate capability is a big challenge for LiTi2(PO4)3 anode for aqueous lithium-ion batteries. Herein, to address such issue, we synthesized a high-performance LiTi2(PO4)3/carbon/carbon nanotube (LTP/C/CNT) composite by virtue of high-quality carbon coating and incorporation of good conductive network. The as-prepared LTP/C/CNT composite exhibits excellent rate performance with discharge capacity of 80.1 and 59.1 mAh g?1 at 10 C and 20 C (based on the mass of anode, 1 C = 150 mA g?1), much larger than that of the LTP/C composite (53.4 mAh g?1 at 10 C, and 31.7 mAh g?1 at 20 C). LTP/C/CNT also demonstrates outstanding cycling stability with capacity retention of 83.3 % after 1000 cycles at 5 C, superior to LTP/C without incorporation of CNTs (60.1 %). As verified, the excellent electrochemical performance of the LTP/C/CNT composite is attributed to the enhanced electrical conductivity, rapid charge transfer, and Li-ion diffusion because of the incorporation of CNTs.  相似文献

Solution combustion synthesis (SCS) is an effective and rapid method for synthesizing nanocrystalline materials. However, the control over size, morphology, and microstructure are rather limited in SCS. Here, we develop a novel ultrasonic-assisted solution combustion route to synthesize the porous and nano-sized Na3V2(PO4)3/C composites, and reveal the effects of ultrasound on the structural evolution of NVP/C. Due to the cavitation effects generated from ultrasonic irradiation, the ultrasonic-assisted SCS can produce honeycomb precursor, which can be further transformed into porous Na3V2(PO4)3/C with reticular and hollow structures after thermal treatment. When used as cathode material for Na-ion batteries, the porous Na3V2(PO4)3/C delivers an initial discharge capacity of 118 mAh g?1 at 0.1 C and an initial coulombic efficiency of 85%. It can retain 93.8% of the initial capacity after 120 cycles at 0.2 C. The results demonstrate that ultrasonic-assisted SCS can be a new strategy to design crystalline nanomaterials with tunable microstructures.
Graphical abstract Porous and nano-sized Na3V2(PO4)3/C composites with reticular and hollow structures are synthesized by an ultrasonic-assisted solution combustion route due to the cavitation effects, and exhibit excellent electrochemical performance as cathode in sodium ion battery.

Hierarchical Na2FeP2O7 spheres with nanoparticles were successfully fabricated by a facile spray drying method. A relatively low drying temperature was introduced in order to form a carbon layer on the surface. As a cathode material for sodium-ion batteries, it delivered a reversible capacity of 84.4 mAh g?1 at 0.1 C and showed excellent cycling and rate performance (64.7 mAh g?1 at 5 C). Furthermore, a full sodium battery was fabricated using SP-Na2FeP2O7 as the cathode and hard carbon as the anode, suffering almost no capacity loss after 400 cycles at 1 C. Due to its superior electrochemical property and the low materials cost, Na2FeP2O7 is becoming a promising cathode material for large-scale energy storage systems.  相似文献

The pure phase P2-Na2/3Ni1/3Mn2/3O2 was synthesized by a solid reaction process. The optimum calcination temperature was 850 °C. The as-prepared product delivered a capacity of 158 mAh g?1 in the voltage range of 2–4.5 V, and there was a phase transition from P2 to O2 at about 4.2 V in the charge process. The P2 phase exhibited excellent intercalation behavior of Na ions. The reversible capacity is about 88.5 mAh g?1 at 0.1 C in the voltage range of 2–4 V at room temperature. At an elevated temperature of 55 °C, it could remain as an excellent capacity retention at low current rates. The P2-Na2/3Ni1/3Mn2/3O2 is a potential cathode material for sodium-ion batteries.  相似文献

A comparison of electrochemical performance between LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C and LiMnPO4/C cathode materials was conducted in this paper. The cathode samples were synthesized by a nano-milling-assisted solid-state process using caramel as carbon sources. The prepared samples were investigated by XRD, SEM, TEM, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX), powder conductivity test (PCT), carbon-sulfur analysis, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and galvanostatic charge-discharge cycling. The results showed that LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C exhibited high specific capacity and high energy density. The initial discharge capacity of LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C was 163.6 mAh g?1 at 0.1C (1C = 160 mA g?1), compared to 112.3 mAh g?1 for LiMnPO4/C. Moreover, the Fe/Cr-substituted sample showed good cycle stability and rate performance. The capacity retention of LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C was 98.84 % over 100 charge-discharge cycles, while it was only 86.64 % for the pristine LiMnPO4/C. These results indicated that Fe/Cr substitution enhanced the electronic conductivity for the prepared sample and facilitated the Li+ diffusion in the structure. Furthermore, LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C composite presented high energy density (606 Wh kg?1) and high power density (574 W kg?1), thus suggested great potential application in lithium ion batteries (LIBs).  相似文献

The Li3V2(PO4)3/C (LVP/C) cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries were synthesized via ethylene glycol-assisted solvothermal method. The phase composition, phase transition temperature, morphology, and fined microstructure were studied using X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential thermal analyzer (DTA), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and transmission electron microscope (TEM), respectively. The electrochemical properties, impedance, and electrical conductivity of LVP/C cathode materials were tested by channel battery analyzer, the electrochemical workstation, and the Hall test system, respectively. The results shown that the appropriate amount of water added to ethylene glycol solvent contributes to the synthesis of pure phase LVP. The LVP10/C cathode material can exhibit discharge capacities of 128, 126, 126, 123, 124, and 114 mAh g?1 at 0.1, 0.5, 2, 5, 10, and 20 C in the voltage range of 3.0–4.3 V, respectively. Meanwhile, it shows also a stable cycling performance with the capacity retention of 89.6% after 180 cycles at 20 C.  相似文献

Li-ion battery cathode material lithium-vanadium-phosphate Li3V2(PO4)3 was synthesized by a carbon-thermal reduction method, using stearic acid, LiH2PO4, and V2O5 as raw materials. And stearic acid acted as reductant, carbon source, and surface active agent. The effect of its content on the crystal structure and electrochemical performance of Li3V2(PO4)3/C were characterized by XRD and electrochemical performance testing, respectively. The results showed that the content of carbon source has no significant effect on the crystal structure of lithium vanadium phosphate. Lihtium vanadium phosphate obtained with 12.3% stearic acid demonstrated the best electrochemical properties with a typical discharge capacity of 119.4 mAh/g at 0.1 C and capacity retention behavior of 98.5% after 50 cycles. And it has high reversible discharge capacity of 83 mAh/g at 5 C with the voltage window of 3 to 4.3 V.  相似文献

Li4Ti5O12 (LTO) was synthesized with two different cooling methods by solid-state method, namely fast cooling and air cooling. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), galvanostatic charge–discharge test, cyclic voltammetry (CV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), respectively. XRD revealed that the basic LTO structure was not changed. FESEM images showed that fast cooling effectively reduced the particle sizes and the agglomeration of particles. Galvanostatic charge–discharge test showed that the air cooling sample exhibited a mediocre performance, having an initial discharge capacity of 136.3mAh?·?g?1 at 0.5 C; however, the fast cooling sample demonstrated noticeable improvement in both of its discharge capacity and rate capability, with a high initial capacity value of 142.7 mAh?·?g?1 at 0.5 C. CV measurements also revealed that fast cooling enhanced the reversibility of the LTO. EIS confirmed that fast cooling resulted in lower electrochemical polarization and a higher lithium-ion diffusion coefficient. Therefore, fast cooling have a great impact on discharge capacity, rate capability, and cycling performance of LTO anode materials for lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

Flower-like MoS2 supported on three-dimensional graphene aerogel (MoS2/GA) composite has been prepared by a facile hydrothermal method followed by subsequent heat-treatment process. Each of MoS2 microflowers is surrounded by the three-dimensional graphene nanosheets. The MoS2/GA composite is applied as an anode material of sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) and it exhibits high initial discharge/charge capacities of 562.7 and 460 mAh g?1 at a current density of 0.1 A g?1 and good cycling performance (348.6 mAh g?1 after 30 cycles at 0.1 A g?1). The good Na+ storage properties of the MoS2/GA composite could be attributed to the unique structure which flower-like MoS2 are homogeneously and tightly decorated on the surface of three-dimensional graphene aerogel. Our results demonstrate that as-prepared MoS2/GA composite has a great potential prospect as anodes for SIBs.  相似文献

Li3V2(PO4)3/C samples were synthesized by two different synthesis methods. Their influence on electrochemical performances of Li3V2(PO4)3/C as cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries was investigated. The structure and morphology of Li3V2(PO4)3/C samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. Electrochemical performance was characterized by charge/discharge, cyclic voltammetry, and alternating current (AC) impedance measurements. Li3V2(PO4)3/C with smaller grain size showed better performances in terms of the discharge capacity and cycle stability. The improved electrochemical properties of the Li3V2(PO4)3/C were attributed to the decreasing grain size and enhanced electrical conductivity produced via low temperature route. AC impedance measurements also showed that the Li3V2(PO4)3/C synthesized by low temperature route significantly decreased the charge-transfer resistance and shortened the migration distance of lithium ion.  相似文献

Mg-doping effects on the electrochemical property of LiFePO4–Li3V2(PO4)3 composite materials, a mutual-doping system, are investigated. X-ray diffraction study indicates that Mg doping decreases the cell volume of LiFePO4 in the composite. The cyclic voltammograms reveal that the reversibility of the electrode reaction and the diffusion of lithium ion is enhanced by Mg doping. Mg doping also improves the conductivity and rate capacity of 7LiFePO4–Li3V2(PO4)3 composite material and decreases the polarization of the electrode reaction. The discharge capacity of the Mg-doped composite was 93 mAh?g?1 at the current density of 1,500 mA?g?1, and Mg-doped composite has better discharge performance than the original 7LiFePO4–Li3V2(PO4)3 composite at low temperature, too. At ?30 °C, the discharge capacity of Mg-doped LFVP is 89 mAh?g?1, higher than that of the original composite. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy study shows that Mg2+ doping could enhance the electrochemical activity of 7LiFePO4–Li3V2(PO4)3 composite. Mg doping has a positive influence on the electrochemical performance of the LiFePO4–Li3V2(PO4)3 composite material.  相似文献

The sample of Mg0. 5+y (Zr1-y Fey) 2 (PO4) 3 (0.0 ≤y ≤0.5) was synthesized using the sol-gel method. The structures of the samples were investigated using X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy measurement. XRD studies showed that samples had a monoclinic structure which was iso-structured with the parent compound, Mg0.5Zr (PO4) 3. The complex impedance spectroscopy was carried out in the frequency range 1–6 MHz and temperature range 303 to 773 K to study the electrical properties of the electrolytes. The substitutions of Fe3+ with Zr4+ in the Mg0.5Zr (PO4) 3 structure was introduced as an extrainterstitial Mg2+ ion in the modified structured. The compound of Mg0.5+y (Zr1-y Fey)2(PO4)3 with y?=?0.4 gives a maximum conductivity value of 1.25?×?10?5 S cm?1 at room temperature and 7.18?×?10?5 S cm?1 at 773 K. Charge carrier concentration, mobile ion concentration, and ion hopping rate are calculated by fitting the conductance spectra to power law variation, σ ac (ω)?=?σ o ? +?Aω α . The charge carrier concentration and mobile ion concentration increases with increase of Fe3+ inclusion. This implies the increase in conductivity of the compounds was due to extra interstitial Mg2+ ions.  相似文献

TiO2-reduced graphene oxide (RGO) composite was synthesized via a sol-gel process and investigated as an anode material for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). A remarkable improvement in sodium ion storage with a reversible capacity of 227 mAh g?1 after 50 cycles at 50 mA g?1 is achieved, compared to that (33 mAh g?1) for TiO2. The enhanced electrochemical performance of TiO2-RGO composite is attributed to the larger specific surface area and better electrical conductivity of TiO2-RGO composite. The excellent performance of TiO2-RGO composite enables it a potential electrode material for SIBs.  相似文献

Li1,3Ti0,7Al0,3(PO4)3 (LATP) powder was obtained by a conventional melt-quenching method and consolidated by field-assisted sintering technology (FAST) at different temperatures. Using this technique, the samples could be sintered to relative densities in the range of 93 to 99 % depending on the sintering conditions. Ionic and thermal conductivity were measured and the results are discussed under consideration of XRD and SEM analyses. Thermal conductivity values of 2 W/mK and ionic conductivities of 4?×?10?4 Scm?1 at room temperature were obtained using relatively large particles and a sintering temperature of 1000 °C at an applied uniaxial pressure of 50 MPa.  相似文献

A facile sol-gel approach for the synthesis of lithium titanate composite decorated with N-doped carbon material (LTO/NC) is proposed. Urea is used as a nitrogen source in the proposed approach. The LTO/NC exhibits superior electrochemical performances as an electrode material for lithium-ion batteries, delivering a discharge capacity of as high as 103 mAh g?1 at a high rate of 20 C and retaining a stable reversible capacity of 90 mAh g?1 after 1000 cycles, corresponding to 100% capacity retention. These excellent electrochemical performances are proved by the nanoscale structure and N-doped carbon coating. NC layers were uniformly dispersed on the surface of LTO, thus preventing agglomeration, favoring the rapid migration of the inserted Li ion, and increasing the Li+ diffusion coefficient and electronic conductivity. LTO with the appropriate amount of NC coating is a promising anode material with applications in the development of high-powered and durable lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

A series of Li3V2(PO4)3/C composite cathodes have been prepared by the organic solvent replacement drying method. Five kinds of organic solvent including ethyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, 2-methoxyethanol, 1,2-propylene glycol, and ethylene glycol were used in the drying process to replace the water respectively. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and galvanostatic charge-discharge tests were employed to analyze the crystal structure, morphology, and electrochemical properties of the as-prepared materials. The results show that the organic solvent has a great influence on the secondary particle size of the as-synthesized materials. Special emphasis is placed on the sample prepared with 1,2-propylene glycol, which has the smallest average particle size and uniform distribution, thus leading to the best high rate performance and long-term cycling stability. The electrode exhibits average specific discharge capacities of 127.6, 128.3, 127.7, 126.7, 125.5, 124.4, 121.9, and 117.0 mAh g?1 at 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1, 3, 5, 10, and 20C, respectively. More encouragingly, this sample delivers an outstanding cycle life with capacity retention of up to 94.68% even after 1000 cycles at 20C. Moreover, EIS results demonstrate that this sample has the minimum resistance and the largest apparent lithium ion diffusion coefficient (1.569 × 10?7 cm2 s?1) which can facilitate to the Li+ diffusion during the charge/discharge process. Our results indicate that this preparation strategy can be facile and versatile for the synthesis of other high-rate and high-capacity intercalation materials.  相似文献

The nanostructured Na3V2(PO4)3 (NVP) cathode material has been synthesized using the sol-gel route for different molar fractions of citric acid as a carbon source during the synthesis. The nanostructured NVP as cores with carbonic shell structures are fabricated with two different citric acid molar ratios. The thermal treatment has been optimized to convert the amorphous carbon shell into graphitic carbon to realize the better electrical conductivity and thus effective electron transfer during the electrochemical charge transfer process. The X-ray diffraction measurements confirmed the rhombohedral crystallographic phase (space group R-3c) with average crystallite size ~28 ± 5 nm. The coin cells are assembled in a hybrid rechargeable electrochemical cell configuration with lithium as a counter electrode and LiPF6-EC:DEC:DMC (1:1:1 ratio) as the electrolyte. The electrochemical charge/discharge measurements are carried out at C/10 and C/20 rates and the measured specific capacities are 80 and 120 mAhg?1 for samples with lower and higher citric acid molar ratios, respectively. The studies suggest that NVP can be used as an effective cathode material in hybrid electrochemical cells, and a higher concentration of citric acid may result in the effective carbonic shell for optimal electron transfer and thus enhanced electrochemical performance.  相似文献

Carbon-coated ZnFe2O4 spheres with sizes of ~110–180 nm anchored on graphene nanosheets (ZF@C/G) are successfully prepared and applied as anode materials for lithium ion batteries (LIBs). The obtained ZF@C/G presents an initial discharge capacity of 1235 mAh g?1 and maintains a reversible capacity of 775 mAh g?1 after 150 cycles at a current density of 500 mA g?1. After being tested at 2 A g?1 for 700 cycles, the capacity still retains 617 mAh g?1. The enhanced electrochemical performances can be attributed to the synergetic role of graphene and uniform carbon coating (~3–6 nm), which can inhibit the volume expansion, prevent the pulverization/aggregation upon prolonged cycling, and facilitate the electron transfer between carbon-coated ZnFe2O4 spheres. The electrochemical results suggest that the synthesized ZF@C/G nanostructures are promising electrode materials for high-performance lithium ion batteries.

V2O5 nanoneedle arrays were grown directly on titanium (Ti) substrate by a facile solvothermal route followed with calcination at 350 °C for 2 h. The as-prepared V2O5 nanoneedles are about 50 nm in diameter and 800 nm in length. The electrochemical behavior of V2O5 nanoarrays as binder-free cathode for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) was evaluated by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic discharge/charge tests. Compared with V2O5 powder electrode, V2O5 nanoneedle arrays electrode exhibited improved electrochemical performance in terms of high discharge capacity of 262.5 mA h g?1 between 2.0 and 4.0 V at 0.2 C, and high capacity retention up to 77.1% after 100 cycles. Under a high current rate of 2 C, a discharge capacity of about 175.6 mA h g?1 can be maintained. The enhanced performance are mainly due to the intimate contact between V2O5 nanoneedle active material and current collector, which enable shortened electron transfer pathway and improved charge transfer kinetics, demonstrating their potential applications in high rate electrochemical storage devices.  相似文献
