Two siloxane-based di-urethanesil frameworks incorporating poly(oxyethylene) (POE) chains have been synthesized by the sol–gel process and doped with magnesium triflate (Mg(CF3SO3)2) with the goal of developing electrolytes for the fabrication of solid-state rechargeable magnesium batteries. In these matrices, short POE chains are covalently bonded to the siloxane network via urethane linkages. The xerogels have been represented by the notation d-Ut(Y) n Mg(CF3SO3)2, where Y?=?300 and 600 represents the average molecular weight of the POE chains and n stands for salt composition (molar ratio of OCH2CH2 units per Mg2+). Xerogels with compositions ranging from 2?≤?n?<?∞ were prepared. A crystalline POE/Mg(CF3SO3)2 complex of unknown stoichiometry is formed in the d-Ut(300) n Mg(CF3SO3)2 materials with n?≤?6 and in the d-Ut(600) n Mg(CF3SO3)2 materials with n?≤?5. The organically modified silicate electrolytes with the highest conductivity of the d-Ut(300) n Mg(CF3SO3)2 and d-Ut(600) n Mg(CF3SO3)2 series are the samples with n?=?6 (3.9?×?10?8 S cm?1 at 26 °C and 8.7?×?10?5 S cm?1 at 97 °C) and n?=?100 (2.63?×?10?7 S cm?1 at 20 °C and 1.4?×?10?5 S cm?1 at 85 °C), respectively. Since the electrolytes for Mg batteries that have been proposed up to now have many intrinsic problems and although the room temperature conductivity values exhibited by the systems developed in the present study are still low in view of practical application, this work opens new directions for the development of solid-state Mg ion electrolytes.  相似文献

In the present work, the effect of glycerol and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride (BmImCl) on the conductivity and dielectric properties of potato starch doped with magnesium acetate, Mg(C2H3O2)2-based electrolytes is studied. The electrolytes are prepared via solution cast technique. The interaction between the materials is proven by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis. Electrolyte with 20 wt.% Mg(C2H3O2)2 exhibits a room temperature conductivity of (2.44 ± 0.37) × 10?8 S cm?1. The addition of 30 wt.% glycerol to the best polymer-salt composition has further enhanced the conductivity to (2.60 ± 0.42) × 10?6 S cm?1. A conductivity of (1.12 ± 0.08) × 10?5 S cm?1 has been achieved when 18 wt.% BmImCl is added to the best polymer-salt-plasticizer composition. From the loss tangent (tan δ) plot, the relaxation time (t r) for selected electrolytes is determined. From transference number measurements, ions are found to be the dominant charge carriers.  相似文献

Solid polymer electrolytes based on polyacrylonitrile (PAN) doped with ammonium thiocyanate (NH4SCN) in different molar ratios of polymer and salt have been prepared by solution-casting method using DMF as solvent. The increase in amorphous nature of the polymer electrolytes has been confirmed by XRD analysis. A shift in glass transition temperature (T g) of the PAN?:?NH4SCN electrolytes has been observed from the DSC thermograms which indicates the interaction between the polymer and the salt. From the AC impedance spectroscopic analysis, the ionic conductivity has been found to increase with increasing salt concentration up to 30 mol% of NH4SCN beyond which the conductivity decreases and the highest ambient temperature conductivity has been found to be 5.79?×?10?3 S cm?1. The temperature-dependent conductivity of the polymer electrolyte follows an Arrhenius relationship which shows hopping of ions in the polymer matrix. The dielectric loss curves for the sample 70 mol% PAN?:?30 mol% NH4SCN reveal the low-frequency β-relaxation peak pronounced at high temperature, and it may be caused by side group dipoles. The ionic transference number of polymer electrolyte has been estimated by Wagner’s polarization method, and the results reveal that the conductivity species are predominantly ions.  相似文献

Thin films of blend polymer electrolytes comprising poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) complexed with ammonium thiocyanate (NH4SCN) salt in different compositions have been prepared by solution casting technique using distilled water as solvent. The prepared films have been investigated by different experimental techniques. The complexation of these films has been studied by FTIR spectroscopy. The increase in amorphousness of the films with increase in NH4SCN content has been confirmed by XRD analysis. The addition of ammonium thiocyanate salt to PVA-PVP polymer blend shows a shift in Tg of the blend. The effect of salt concentration and temperature on the ionic conductivity of the polymer blend films has been analyzed using AC impedance spectroscopy. The maximum conductivity of 6.85 × 10?4 S cm?1 at room temperature has been observed for the blend with 50 mol% PVA-50 mol% PVP complexed with 40 mol% NH4SCN. The activation energy has been found to be minimum (0.24 eV) for this sample. Wagner’s polarization technique shows that the charge transport in these blend films is predominantly due to ions. Using the highest conductivity blend polymer electrolyte, a proton battery has been fabricated and its discharge characteristics have been studied.  相似文献

This work examines the effect of lithium trifluoromethanesulfonate (LiCF3SO3) and glycerol on the conductivity and dielectric properties of potato starch-chitosan blend-based electrolytes. The electrolytes are prepared via solution cast technique. From X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, the blend of 50 wt.% starch and 50 wt.% chitosan is found to be the most amorphous blend. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy studies show the interaction between the electrolyte materials. The room temperature conductivity of pure starch-chitosan film is found to be (2.85 ± 1.31) × 10?10 S cm?1. The incorporation of 45 wt.% LiCF3SO3 increases the conductivity to (7.65 ± 2.27) × 10?5 S cm?1. Further conductivity enhancement up to (1.32 ± 0.35) × 10?3 S cm?1 has been observed on addition of 30 wt.% glycerol. This trend in conductivity is verified by XRD and dielectric analysis. The temperature dependence of conductivity of all electrolytes are Arrhenian.  相似文献

Two systems (salted and plasticized) of starch–chitosan blend-based electrolytes incorporated with ammonium chloride (NH4Cl) are prepared via solution cast technique. The incorporation of 25 wt% NH4Cl has maximized the room temperature conductivity of the electrolyte to (6.47?±?1.30)?×?10?7 S cm?1. Conductivity is enhanced to (5.11?±?1.60)?×?10?4 S cm?1 on addition of 35 wt% glycerol. The temperature dependence of conductivity for all electrolytes is Arrhenian, and the value of activation energy (E a ) decreases with increasing conductivity. Conductivity is found to be influenced by the number density (n) and mobility (μ) of ions. The complexation between the electrolytes components is proven by Fourier transform infrared analysis. The relaxation time (t r ) for selected electrolytes is found to decrease with increasing conductivity and temperature. Conduction mechanism for the highest conducting electrolyte in salted and plasticized systems is determined by employing Jonscher’s universal power law.  相似文献

Solid polymer electrolytes based on methyl cellulose (MC)-potato starch (PS) blend doped with ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) are prepared by solution cast technique. The interaction between the electrolyte’s materials is proven by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis. The thermal stability of the electrolytes is obtained from thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The room temperature conductivity of undoped 60 wt.% MC-40 wt.% PS blend film is identified to be (1.04 ± 0.19) × 10?11 S cm?1. The addition of 30 wt.% NH4NO3 to the polymer blend has optimized the room temperature conductivity to (4.37 ± 0.16) × 10?5 S cm?1. Conductivity trend is verified by X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and dielectric analysis. Temperature-dependence of conductivity obeys Arrhenius rule. Conductivity is found to be influenced by the number density (n) and mobility (μ) of ions. From transference number measurements (TNM), ions are found to be the dominant charge carriers.  相似文献

The influence of tetrabutylammonium iodide on the polyvinylidene fluoride-poly(methyl methacrylate)-ethylene carbonate (PVDF-PMMA-EC)-I2 polymer blend electrolytes was investigated and optimized for use in a dye-sensitized solar cell. The different weight ratios (50, 60, 70, and 80 %) of tetrabutylammonium iodide (TBAI)-added PVDF-PMMA-EC-I2 polymer electrolytes were prepared. The prepared solid polymer blend electrolytes were characterized by using various techniques such as Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The FT-IR spectra revealed the interaction among all composition of polymer electrolytes. The influence of TBAI salt on the ionic conductivity of polymer electrolytes was studied using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The polymer electrolyte containing 60 % of TBAI in PVDF-PMMA-EC-I2 showed the highest room temperature conductivity of 5.10?×?10?3 S cm?1. The fabricated DSSC using PVDF-PMMA-EC-I2 polymer electrolytes with 60 % of TBAI showed the best performance with a short-circuit current density of 8.0 mA cm?2, open-circuit voltage of 0.66 V, fill factor of 0.65, and the overall power conversion efficiency of 3.45 % under an illumination of 100 mW cm?2. Hence, the weight content of organic iodide salt in polymer electrolytes influences the overall performance of dye-sensitized solar cells.  相似文献

Gelatin-HCl protonic gel polymer electrolytes were obtained by crosslinking with formaldehyde in the presence of hydrochloric acid and glycerol as plasticizer and characterized in present study. The ionic conductivity measurements revealed the best value of 5.35?×?10?5 S cm?1 at room temperature. Factorial design analysis showed that influence of glycerol is more pronounced than influence of acid on ionic conductivity values. Moreover, the 90 % transparent membranes evidenced a linear increase of ionic conductivity values of 5.35?×?10?5 S cm?1 at 26.5 °C to 5.77?×?10?4 S cm?1 at 82.8 °C following Arrhenius type mechanism of charge mobility.  相似文献

Novel solid polymer electrolytes, poly(vinylalcohol)-lithium perchlorate (PVA-LiClO4) and PVA-LiClO4-sulfolane are prepared by solvent casting method. The experimental results show that sulfolane addition enhances the ionic conductivity of PVA-LiClO4 complex by three orders. The maximum ionic conductivity of 1.14 ± 0.20 × 10?2 S cm?1 is achieved for 10 mol% sulfolane-added electrolyte at ambient temperature. Polymer-salt-plasticizer interactions are analyzed through attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy. Lithium ion transference number is found by AC impedance spectroscopy combined with DC potentiostatic measurements. The results confirm that sulfolane improves the Li+ transference number of PVA-LiClO4 complex to 0.77 from 0.40. The electrochemical stability window of electrolytes is determined by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The broad electrochemical stability window of 5.45 V vs. lithium is obtained for maximum conducting electrolyte. All-solid-state cell is fabricated using maximum conducting electrolyte, and electrochemical impedance study is carried out. It reveals that electrolyte interfacial resistance with Li electrode is very low. The use of PVA-LiClO4-sulfolane as a viable electrolyte material for high-voltage lithium ion batteries is ensured.  相似文献

High molecular weight polymer poly(vinylidenefluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVdF-HFP), ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide (EMIMFSI), and salt lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI)-based free-standing and conducting ionic liquid-based gel polymer electrolytes (ILGPE) have been prepared by solution cast method. Thermal, electrical, and electrochemical properties of 80 wt% IL containing gel polymer electrolyte (GPE) are investigated by thermogravimetric (TGA), impedance spectroscopy, linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), and cyclic voltammetry (CV). The 80 wt% IL containing GPE shows good thermal stability (~?200 °C), ionic conductivity (6.42?×?10?4 S cm?1), lithium ion conductivity (1.40?×?10?4 S cm?1 at 30 °C), and wide electrochemical stability window (~?4.10 V versus Li/Li+ at 30 °C). Furthermore, the surface of LiFePO4 cathode material was modified by graphene oxide, with smooth and uniform coating layer, as confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and with element content, as confirmed by energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectrum. The graphene oxide-coated LiFePO4 cathode shows improved electrochemical performance with a good charge-discharge capacity and cyclic stability up to 50 cycles at 1C rate, as compared with the without coated LiFePO4. At 30 °C, the discharge capacity reaches a maximum value of 104.50 and 95.0 mAh g?1 for graphene oxide-coated LiFePO4 and without coated LiFePO4 at 1C rate respectively. These results indicated improved electrochemical performance of pristine LiFePO4 cathode after coating with graphene oxide.  相似文献

Polymer blend electrolytes based on poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and poly(vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene) (PVdF-HFP) were prepared by using different lithium salts LiX (X = ClO4, BF4, CF3SO3, and N [CF3SO2]2) using solution casting technique. To confirm the structure and complexation of the electrolyte films, the prepared electrolytes were subjected to X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis. Alternating current (AC) impedance analysis was performed for all the electrolyte samples at various temperatures from 303 to 343 K. The result suggests that among the various lithium salts, LiN[CF3SO2]2-based electrolytes exhibited the highest ionic conductivity at 8.20 × 10?4 S/cm. The linear variation of the ionic conductivity of the polymer electrolytes with increasing temperature suggests the Arrhenius-type thermally activated process. Activation energies were found to decrease when doping with lithium imide salt. The dielectric behavior has been analyzed using dielectric permittivity (ε*), electric modulus (M*), and dissipation factor (tanδ) of the samples. Cyclic voltammetry has been performed for the electrolyte films to study their cyclability and reversibility. Thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA) was used to ascertain the thermal stability of the electrolytes, and the porous nature of the electrolytes was identified using scanning electron microscopy via ion hopping conduction. Surface morphology of the sample having maximum conductivity was studied by an atomic force microscope (AFM).  相似文献

Solid polymer electrolytes based on potato starch (PS) and graphene oxide (GO) have been developed in this study. Blending GO with PS has improved the ionic conductivity and mechanical properties of the electrolytes. In this work, series of polymer blend consisting of PS and GO as co-host polymer were prepared using solution cast method. The most amorphous PS-GO blend was obtained using 80 wt% of PS and 20 wt% of GO as recorded by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Incorporation of 40 wt% lithium trifluoromethanesulfonate (LiCF3SO3) into the PS-GO blend increases the conductivity to (1.48 ± 0.35) × 10?5 S cm?1. Further enhancement of conductivity was made using 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([Bmim][Cl]). The highest conductivity at room temperature is obtained for the electrolyte containing 30 wt% of [Bmim][Cl] with conductivity value of (4.8?0 ± 0.69) × 10?4 S cm?1. Analysis of the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) spectra confirmed the interaction between LiCF3SO3, [Bmim][Cl], and PS-GO blend. The variation of the dielectric constant and modulus studies versus frequency indicates that system of PS-GO-LiCF3SO3-[Bmim][Cl] obeys non-Debye behavior.  相似文献

Three types of inorganic electrolytes [Li10GeP2S12 (LGPS), 75Li2S·24P2S5·1P2O5 (LPOS), Li1.5Al0.5Ge1.5(PO4)3 (LAGP)] with different particle sizes and electrochemical properties are selected as active fillers incorporated into poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) matrix to fabricate hybrid solid electrolytes. The optimum composition of each filler is found in consideration of ionic conductivity. Their electrochemical characteristics are investigated. The optimal conductivities are 1.60 × 10?5, 1.18 × 10?5, and 2.12 × 10?5 S cm?1 at room temperature for PEO-1%LGPS, PEO-1%LPOS, and PEO-20%LAGP, respectively. The electrochemical stability windows of these hybrid solid electrolytes are all above 5 V (vs. Li+/Li). The results show that these fillers have positive effects on the ionic conductivity, lithium ion transference number, and electrochemical stability. The relationship between the type of filler and electrochemical properties has been investigated. All-solid-state cells LiFePO4/Li are fabricated and present fascinating electrochemical performance with high capacity retention and good cycling stability. This work provides promising electrolytes prepared by a simple method.  相似文献

Dextran-chitosan blend added with ammonium thiocyanate (NH4SCN)-based solid polymer electrolytes are prepared by solution cast method. The interaction between the components of the electrolyte is verified by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis. The blend of 40 wt% dextran-60 wt% chitosan is found to be the most amorphous ratio. The room temperature conductivity of undoped 40 wt% dextran-60 wt% chitosan blend film is identified to be (3.84?±?0.97)?×?10?10 S cm?1. The inclusion of 40 wt.% NH4SCN to the polymer blend has optimized the room temperature conductivity up (1.28?±?0.43)?×?10?4 S cm?1. Result from X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis shows that the electrolyte with the highest conductivity value has the lowest degree of crystallinity (χ c) and the glass transition temperature (T g), respectively. Temperature-dependence of conductivity follows Arrhenius theory. From transport analysis, the conductivity is noticed to be influenced by the mobility (μ) and number density (n) of ions. Conductivity trend is further verified by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and dielectric results.  相似文献

A series of gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) containing lithium bis(oxalato)borate (LiBOB), propylene carbonate (PC), and ethylene carbonate (EC) have been investigated. Poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) was used as the polymer. First, a series of liquid electrolytes was prepared by varying the Li:O ratio and obtained the best composition giving the highest conductivity of 7.1?×?10?3 S cm?1 at room temperature. Then, the PEO-based GPEs were prepared by adding different amounts of LiBOB and PEO into a mixture of equal weights of EC and PC (40 % of each from the total weight). The gel electrolyte comprises of 12.5 % of LiBOB, 7.5 % of PEO, 40 % of EC, and 40 % of PC gave the highest ionic conductivity of 5.8?×?10?3 S cm?1 at room temperature. From the DC polarization measurements, ionic nature of the gel electrolyte was confirmed. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra of electrolytes showed the Li+ ion coordination with EC and PC molecules. These interactions were exhibited in the peaks corresponding to ring breathing of EC at 893 cm?1 and ring bending of EC and symmetric ring deformation of PC at 712 and 716 cm?1 respectively. The presence of free Li+ ions and ion aggregates is evident in the peaks due to the symmetric stretching of O–B–O at 985 cm?1.  相似文献

The ionic liquid polymer electrolyte (IL-PE) membrane is prepared by ultraviolet (UV) cross-linking technology with polyurethane acrylate (PUA), methyl methacrylate (MMA), ionic liquid (Py13TFSI), lithium salt (LiTFSI), ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA), and benzoyl peroxide (BPO). N-methyl-N-propyl pyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (Py13TFSI) ionic liquid is synthesized by mixing N-methyl-N-propyl pyrrolidinium bromide (Py13Br) and lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI). The addition of Py13TFSI to polymer electrolyte membranes leads to network structures by the chain cross-linking. The resultant electrolyte membranes display the room temperature ionic conductivity of 1.37 × 10?3 S cm?1 and the lithium ions transference number of 0.22. The electrochemical stability window of IL-PE is about 4.8 V (vs. Li+/Li), indicating sufficient electrochemical stability. The interfacial resistances between the IL-PE and the electrodes have the less change after 10 cycles than before 10 cycles. IL-PE has better compatibility with the LiFePO4 electrode and the Li electrode after 10 cycles. The first discharge performance of Li/IL-PE/LiFePO4 half-cell shows a capacity of 151.9 mAh g?1 and coulombic efficiency of 87.9%. The discharge capacity is 131.9 mAh g?1 with 95.5% coulombic efficiency after 80 cycles. Therefore, the battery using the IL-PE exhibits a good cycle and rate performance.  相似文献

In this study, the electrical, dielectric and morphological analysis of composite solid polymer electrolytes containing polyethylene oxide, alumina nano-fillers and tetrapropylammonium iodide are conducted. The temperature dependence of conductivity shows activation energy of 0.23, 0.20 and 0.29 eV for electrolytes containing 0, 5 and 15 wt.% alumina, respectively, when data fitted to the Arrhenius equation. These activation energy values are in good agreement with those determined from dielectric measurements. The result confirms the fact that conductivity is activated by both the mobility and the charge carrier density. The conductivity isotherms demonstrated the existence of two peaks, at 5 and 15 wt.% Al2O3 composition. The highest conductivity values of 2.4 × 10?4, 3.3 × 10?4 and 4.2 × 10?4 S cm?1 are obtained for the sample with 5 wt.% Al2O3 at 0, 12 and 24 °C, respectively, suggesting an enhancement of conductivity compared with that of alumina free samples.  相似文献

Poly(butylene sulfite) (poly-1) was synthesized by cationic ring-opening polymerization of butylene sulfite (1), which was prepared by the reaction of 1,4-butanediol and thionyl chloride, with trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (TfOH) in bulk. The polymer electrolytes composed of poly-1 with lithium salts such as bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiN(SO2CF3)2, LiTFSI) and bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide (LiN(SO2F)2, LiFSI) were prepared, and their ionic conductivities, thermal, and electrochemical properties were investigated. Ionic conductivities of the polymer electrolytes for the poly-1/LiTFSI system increased with lithium salt concentrations, reached maximum values at the [LiTFSI]/[repeating unit] ratio of 1/10, and then decreased in further more salt concentrations. The highest ionic conductivity values at the [LiTFSI]/[repeating unit] ratio of 1/10 were 2.36?×?10?4 S/cm at 80 °C and 1.01?×?10?5 S/cm at 20 °C. On the other hand, ionic conductivities of the polymer electrolytes for the poly-1/LiFSI system increased with an increase in lithium salt concentrations, and ionic conductivity values at the [LiFSI]/[repeating unit] ratio of 1/1 were 1.25?×?10?3 S/cm at 80 °C and 5.93?×?10?5 S/cm at 20 °C. Glass transition temperature (T g) increased with lithium salt concentrations for the poly-1/LiTFSI system, but T g for the poly-1/LiFSI system was almost constant regardless of lithium salt concentrations. Both polymer electrolytes showed high transference number of lithium ion: 0.57 for the poly-1/LiTFSI system and 0.56 for the poly-1/LiFSI system, respectively. The polymer electrolytes for the poly-1/LiTFSI system were thermally more stable than those for the poly-1/LiFSI system.  相似文献

This paper reports the polyethylene oxide/polyvinylpyrrolidone (PEO/PVP) blend with cobalt chloride (CoCl2) films prepared using spin coating method on blue star glass substrate. The XRD analysis shows the decrease in the crystallinity nature of the CoCl2 with addition of the dopant. The FT-IR analysis reveals that interaction between cobalt ions with polymer blend confirms the complexation. The maximum ionic conductivity 0.65?×?10?4 S cm?1 was observed for PEO (45 %)/PVP (45 %)/CoCl2 (10 %) at 30 °C. The optical energy band gaps decreases and Urbach energy were observed increases with increasing the dopant concentration. The DSC/TGA results showed that thermal stability of films enhanced with dopant concentration. Cyclic voltammogram (CV) study shows that the electrochemical strength improves with dopant concentration. These obtained results imply that polymer blend electrolytes are suitable candidature for various applications such as electronic and optical devices like electro-chromic display, fuel cells, gas sensors and solid state batteries.  相似文献
