A new polymeric oxidizing reagent was prepared by supporting periodic acid on poly(1,4-phenylene-2,5-pyridine dicarboxyamide). This polymeric reagent was used for the selective oxidation of primary benzylic alcohols to the corresponding benzaldehydes in CH3CN at reflux conditions.Excellent selectivity was observed between primary benzyl alcohols and secondary ones as well as non-benzylic alcohols in the oxidation reactions.Allylic alcohols were also converted to the corresponding aldehydes with good yields.  相似文献

Electrochemical bromination of toluene and substituted toluenes by two-phase electrolysis yields the corresponding α-brominated products. The reaction has been carried out in a single compartment cell with platinum electrodes at 0 °C in chloroform using an aqueous sodium bromide solution (60%) containing a catalytic amount of HBr. Two-phase electrolysis results in high yields (60-95%) of monobromo compounds with very high regioselectivity (>95%).  相似文献

Benzyl alcohol oxidation is catalyzed by solid MnFe1.8Cu0.15Ru0.05O4 in the presence of molecular oxygen. The good compliance of oxidation kinetics with the Michaelis-Menten enzyme kinetic model evidences the oxidative dehydrogenation of benzyl alcohol via a Ru-alkoxide intermediate, which undergoes b-elimination to afford benzaldehyde. A mild and efficient method for THP protection of indazoles and benzyl alcohols has been developed in water, the most environmentally friendly solvent, in which Tween 20 (2% w/w) was added to form aqueous micelles to increase the solubility of starting materials. This aqueous protocol allowed the reaction to proceed smoothly at room temperature and with only 1.2 equiv of DHP, providing moderate to good yields of THP protected products for a wide scope of substrates. In addition, the methodology was highly practical in the large-scale synthesis (1?g synthesis of 2c as an example), wherein the convenient work-up and purification procedure (simple filtration) made the protocol even more attractive.  相似文献

合成了纳米尺度氧化石墨烯(NGO)层,用作碳催化剂高效催化苄醇与芳香醛的氧化反应.对于醇氧化反应,当80℃时H2O2存在下,NGOs(20 wt%)可高效催化醇选择性生成醛,其反应速率和产率取决于醇上取代基的性质.对于4-硝基苄醇,反应24 h后,只有10%可转换为相应羧酸.相反,4-甲氧基苄醇和二苯基甲醇分别反应仅9和3h则可完全转化为对应的羧酸和酮.NGO碳催化剂上芳香醛氧化速率高于醇氧化速率.对于所有的醛,采用7 wt% NGO作催化剂,在70℃反应2-3 h后,就可完全转化为相应羧酸.我们讨论了NGO催化剂结构对苄醇和芳香醛氧化反应影响的可能机理.  相似文献

We herein report a catalyst system for the dynamic kinetic resolution of secondary alcohols by combining the enzymatic resolution with an iron-catalyzed racemization. A new air-stable tricarbonyl (cyclopentadienone)iron complex is identified as the active racemization catalyst for this transformation without any additive. Various substrates including benzylic, heteroaromatic, aliphatic alcohols can be used and afford the corresponding esters in good yields and with excellent enantioselectivities.  相似文献

The oxidation of alcohols using catalytic amounts of metal complexes is highly attractive from the viewpoint of green chemistry principles. However, examples of metal complex-catalyzed oxidations of alcohols with O2 using water as the solvent are still rare, and precious metals, high-pressure O2 or air, and a stoichiometric amount of base are often required. In this study, it was found that an oxovanadium-4,4′-t-Bubpy (4,4′-di-tert-butyl-2,2′-bipyridyl) complex exhibited high catalytic activity in the oxidation of benzhydrols under an atmosphere of O2 in water as the sole solvent. Interestingly, this catalytic oxidation method could be applied to the gram-scale aerobic oxidation of alcohols in water under the atmosphere.  相似文献

An efficient, selective and environmentally benign photocatalytic system in acetonitrile has been developed for aerobic oxidation of activated benzylic and allylic alcohols into their corresponding aldehydes and ketones without the need for a transition metal in moderate to excellent yields with a catalytic amount of iodine. Very high inter- and intramolecular chemoselectivities are observed when benzylic OH groups are oxidized in the presence of aliphatic (nonbenzylic) hydroxyls.  相似文献

The investigation comprised an evaluation of the use of the catalyst 1%Ru/TiO2 in the liquid-phase conversion of toluene to benzyl alcohol and benzaldehyde. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms were deployed to delineate the properties of the supported catalysts. The findings indicated a good catalytic performance by 1%Ru/TiO2 under green reaction conditions. This performance was deemed a consequence of the spread and loading of Ru on the TiO2. The reaction conditions such as temperature, reaction time, type of support, catalyst preparation method, and activating quantity) were optimized to achieve superior reaction parameters. Catalyst produced via sol-immobilization has higher activity than the one prepared with the wet-impregnation method, which lead to a transformation rate of up to 9.5%, with the selectivity for benzyl alcohol at 92%.  相似文献

Nano-gold and silver particles supported on manganese oxide were synthesized by the co-precipitation method. The catalytic properties of these materials were investigated for the oxidation of benzyl alcohol using molecular oxygen as a source of oxygen. The catalyst was calcined at 300, 400 and 500 °C. They were characterized by electron microscopy, powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and surface area. It was observed that the calcination temperature affects the size of the nanoparticle, which plays a significant role in the catalytic process. The catalyst calcined at 400 °C, gave a 100% conversion and >99% selectivity, whereas catalysts calcined at 300 and 500 °C gave a conversion of 69.51% and 19.90% respectively, although the selectivity remains >99%.  相似文献

An oxidovanadium(IV) complex having a perrhenato ligand [VO(ReO4)(4,4′-tBubpy)2][0.25SO4·0.5ReO4] (4,4′-tBubpy = 4,4′-di-tert-butyl-2,2′-bipyridine) efficiently catalyzes not only dehydrogenative oxidation of benzylic and propargylic mono-alcohols but also oxidative CC bond cleavage of meso-1,2-diaryl-1,2-ethanediols under atmospheric molecular oxygen, affording the corresponding carbonyl compounds in good yield.  相似文献

Efficient aerobic oxidation of benzylic compounds has been achieved under no irradiation using a new organocatalytic system in the presence of acridine yellow and N-hydroxyphthalimide with assistance of a catalytic amount of molecular bromine. Various substrates, especially alkylaromatics, were effectively oxygenated to the corresponding carbonyl compounds with molecular oxygen as oxidant under mild conditions. For instance, indan was oxidized with 92% conversion and 79% selectivity for 1-indanone under 0.3 MPa of O2 at 75 °C.  相似文献

A simple and extremely efficient protocol is developed for oxidation of alcohols to carbonyl compounds at room temperature by using green solvent lactic acid and green oxidant H2O2. This protocol provides high conversion under catalyst free conditions. The easy work up procedure allows high selectivity and good to excellent yields of carbonyl compounds with purity.
